I've worked with java, python, javascript, php, shell and scripting langs, frontend markup langs, also did work with vhdl and assembly back in the uni days. My favourite language so far is java, and following comes python, though I use any language based on the task requirements. Having said that, I'll admit that I don't like programming but I love automating systems while building digital products and experiences for users. Adding to that, I haven't got into technology because I loved coding but because technology provides me the opportunity to build stuff and the opportunity to help make peoples live easier. So, just to sum this up and provide you with the answer to "what language should I learn?". Find out what you want to build and then learn to use relevant tools while building it! For example, if you want to build a brick-house you need to learn to work with bricks and not wood... you get the idea!
