I will have four fanfictions out this week, including the Ascendance headcanons and Warriors of the Mind part 3. Sorry it took so long, it won't happen again.

Hey guys,
So, I just wanted to say that I will be writing other oneshots while writing Warriors of the Mind and that requests are still welcome. I will not be writing any other series for now.

Warriors of the Mind: Part Two
Part One
(Hiccup's POV)
It was unbelievable, really. That the goddess Y/n had come to our aid. Had sided with us. I had far more faith that we would win now, with the goddess of strategy and war on our side. Also the goddess of wisdom! It was amazing, and she had chosen Astrid and I.
"Don't disappoint me," her last words chilled me slightly, especially when everything she did radiated power.
I had the feeling that the other riders were slightly jealous of Astrid and I, including Fishlegs. I mean, she was also goddess of knowledge, and Fishlegs had been ignored by her. Snotlout probably didn't like the idea of being rejected by any woman, much less the war goddess. The twins...... well, maybe they were totally okay with not getting her attention. At least she wasn't goddess of mischief.
Y/n hadn't been around for a few days, but I could tell Astrid really was looking forward to learning more from her. My mind briefly wandered to where Y/n would be right now.
"Your intelligence is admirable," I jumped, then noticed she was behind me, staring at the tail I was working on for Toothless.
"I was just wondering when you would come back," I told her. She moved to the other side of the table, staring still.
"Whenever I can spare time," she answered. "There are lots of duties I have as a goddess. My father is slightly angry at my interference."
"So your parents," I ventured. Y/n looked at me and smiled.
"I don't have a mother, really," she said. She winced a bit. "It's going to sound a bit weird, but I was born fully grown. From my father's skull."
The information was shocking. "So..... you just...."
"Emerged fully grown from my father's head? Yes, Hiccup," Y/n responded, then looked back at the tail. "My father is the king of the gods."
"What kind of duties do you have?" I moved on. This discussion was slightly uncomfortable.
"Oh, looking after some of my other chosen ones," she responded. "Perfecting things. I wanted to speak to you. I'm going to try to find your enemy, Viggo Grimborn. I will try to gather information, but I cannot intervene directly with anything going on there."
"But.... you are intervening directly here," I said.
"Divine intervention is complicated," she responded. "I cannot interact with my children. It is a tragedy. I cannot save them from harm."
"Ch-children?" I sputtered. This goddess was full of suprises.
"Yes. They were born from my skull," she said. "I invented them in my head, and they came out of my head."
I swallowed. "Oh."
She smiled. "I know, it is very weird. Especially to you mortals," she said. "I wish to start training with you an Astrid soon."
"She's excited," I told Y/n. "Very excited. She respects you a lot, and, I think she even admires you."
Y/n smiled. "That is wonderful to hear. Anyways, I have somewhere I must be going."
"Where?" I asked her.
"Astrid's hut," Y/n responded, then nodded at the tail design. "That piece of metal needs to be thinner, or it won't work."
"Really?"
"Yes."
And then she was gone. It was amazing, how she could just disappear and reappear like that.
(Astrid's POV)
I was in my hut, sharpening an axe when Y/n appeared in front of me.
I was really glad that she had come back. I was very excited to learn from her, goddess of wisdom and war? I doubted we would lose with her help.
"I came to tell you some grave news," she greeted me with. "The gods do not like me helping you, and though they will not directly side with Grimborn, they will try to thwart your victory."
My face fell. "What gods? And how will they -"
"Poseidon, god of the sea. The seas will be smooth for the hunters and wild for you," she said. "Ares will bless them. Apollo, Artemis, Hera, Dionysus, Hermes, and Aphrodite seem to be neutral- for now. Zeus, god of the sky, and the king of the gods- my father- will cause violent storms."
"Well, at least most seem to be neutral," I said hopefully.
"If this comes to full-blown war, they will take sides. If Apollo and Artemis take our side, that would be amazing. They are both gods of archery. Dionysus, god of wine, we won't have to worry about too much. Nor Aphrodite, goddess of love. Then again, we can't underestimate them," she said.
"Tell me more," I said. I really was curious, about all the different gods and goddesses, so different from my own.
"Hera is the queen of the gods. I'm sure I could persuade her. Hermes and I have.... well, a slight alliance. He's the god of thieves, travelers, and many other things," Y/n continued. "But you don't need to worry about any of the neutral gods. Right now, we need to get you and Hiccup trained."
My face brightened at that. To be trained by the goddess of wisdom and war would make me one of the best warriors in the world.
"Hiccup said you were excited," Y/n said. "And speaking of him, I would prefer that this conversation is not mentioned. Tomorrow, I will return, and we will make a plan to take Grimborn down."
She left my hut, leaving me quite excited to see her the next day.
---
(Y/n POV)
Astrid had a lot to learn in terms of wisdom. And Hiccup had a lot to learn in terms of fighting.
But they were my warriors of the mind.
I met with the riders in their clubhouse the next day.
"A plan, a strategy," I said. "That's what we would need. If you want to win, anyway."
"I couldn't agree more," Snotlout said. I rolled my eyes.
"I'll have to be away for the next two days," I said. "I have to.... train some others."
"Will they be helping us?" Fishlegs asked.
"No," I said. "He has his own to defend."
The riders continued talking and I fell silent, observing. Watching. I wish Fishlegs had been more like a warrior. And that Snotlout and the twins were smarter. If they were, I could train them too. But no.
"You'll need to outsmart Grimborn," I said. "Your fighting skills will be of no use if your brains don't work. This is not a fight you can win with force."
"Y/n's right," Hiccup and Astrid said together.
Tuffnut rolled his eyes. "She's a goddess, of course she's right."
"Goddesses aren't always right," I said. "Many have been wrong. My half-sister Artemis is a great example."
A lightning bolt struck, just outside of the clubhouse. I turned to the riders and dipped my head slightly.
"I have to go. My father is calling," I said. "I will send scouts to watch you. If you see an owl, I am watching."

Warriors of the Mind
A/n: Reader is like Athena, so goddess of wisdom, skill, strategy, and war. Actually she is Athena accept called y/n. Set during RTTE. Epic the musical is my current obsession so there are lots of references. Hiccup x Goddess! reader. Not edited.
Disclaimer: I do not own Epic the Musical, or Race to the Edge.
Summary: During the event of Race to the Edge, the dragon riders attract the attention of a certain goddess, who offers her blessing, something much appreciated when facing the Dragon Hunters.
(Y/n POV)
Goddess of wisdom, war, strategy, and skill. Born from the skull of my father. That was me.
For years I had been helping my chosen heroes, guiding them to victory. I had trained them and molded them to fit my design. And now, after thousands of years, there were two who had attracted my attention.
Two new heroes. Two new ones to train.
I was unsure of their names, but both were incredibly intelligent and great warriors. They would be even greater with my help.
One night, they gathered in their 'club house'.
"Viggo's smarter than any adversary we've faced," their leader said. I believed is name was Hiccup, which was a rather odd name. "We need strategy if we are to defeat him."
I exhaled slowly, and allowed my visible form to show.
"Uh, Hiccup......" one of the thin twins pointed at me.
"If you wish to win, I may be a great ally," all of them turned to look at me, jumping, terrified. The blond girl threw a knife at me, which I easily dodged. "I am here as a friend."
"Who are you?" Hiccup asked me.
I smiled. "A goddess of sorts, I suppose."
"Goddess..." he breathed.
"Goddess," I repeated. "Of wisdom, war, skill, and strategy ."
The blond girl, Astrid, scoffed. "How can we be sure?"
I smiled. "I am offering my services. I am trying to help you. You could win, with my aid. My name is Y/n."
"Yes, but how can we know you are not an enemy?" Astrid pressed.
"Because I came to you," I said. "I want to make the world a better place."
She still looked skeptical, so I drew my sword. "Why not a duel? If you win, I will do whatever you wish, leave, whatever. If I win, I will do my wish."
"And what is that?" Hiccup asked.
"I wish to mentor you can Astrid, Hiccup," I said, and they both looked shocked. "For years, I have chosen my heroes. My warriors of the mind."
I looked at Astrid. "You have attracted the attention of another god, too. I am glad I got here first."
Astrid scowled. "What god?"
"Ares, god of war," I rolled my eyes. "Honestly I hate him. He's bloodthirsty and brainless. I have notably humiliated him many times."
"I agree to the duel," Astrid said. "In the arena."
I smiled. "I shall meet you there."
------
In the arena, there were the dragons, whom I quickly befriended. When the riders got down there, Hiccup on his night fury, I approached it.
"May I?" I asked, and Hiccup nodded. I began to stroke the dragon, who growled at first, but soon warmed to the touch.
"Alright," Astrid said. I drew my sword and she drew an axe.
"Ready?" she asked me. I nodded and she charged.
I quickly disarmed her. Her axe clattered to the ground and I pressed my sword against her neck.
"I can help you win your fight," I said. "But know this; it may put other gods with and against you."
I removed my sword and allowed Astrid to stand. "You are admirable. A great warrior. I hope that I am able to train you. And Hiccup."
"What about us?" the one twin said, the male one.
"You are not the material I look for," I said. "But I will help you win."
Astrid looked at me, impressed, and held her hand out. I shook it. "We will do great things. Maybe one day, you'll follow me, and we'll make a greater tomorrow. Then they'll see I know we'll change the world because we are the warriors of the mind."
I looked at all of the riders. "Trust me, we will win. I will help you and train you, and you have my word. Don't disappoint me."
A/n: Sorry that was short, I'll be working on more when I can, I guess it'll be a series.
