Christine Jorgenson, a trans woman, received the Woman of the Year Award in 1953
What are we doing in 2025? Well we're banning trans people from participating in sports and preventing children from safely transitioning. We're refusing to accept trans people and taking away their human right. What has happened to society in the last 70 years? What are we doing?
We really are going backwards, aren't we?

Is This a Scam?
I just got multiple messages asking me to donate to support Palestine. I answered them at first, but I just deleted them just in case. Although I want to support Palestine, I have gotten so many messages I am worried it is a scam. Here's a post I found about these scammers https://www.tumblr.com/kyra45/742772332577308672/scammer-pretending-to-be-in-palestine-v2 Please support Palestine, but be more careful of these scams than I was. Here I've linked some recourses for learning about the situation and where you can go to support. The Kid
Jackie Coogan and Charlie Chaplin filming The Kid
The Kid was a 1921 silent film directed by Charlie Chaplin. The movie led to the creation of California's California Child Actor's Bill which protects child actors. During filming, Chaplin and Coogan grew close off-screen and would even go out to carnivals together. Some speculate Chaplin made the movie in order to be a dad again since his son died in 1919.

The most badass trans fem I've seen
Roberta Cowell (1918-2011)
Roberta Cowell was the first woman to medically transitioned in the UK. Michael Dillon was very important to her transition and they may have even had a romantic or sexual relationship. Cowell also served in World War II as a fighter pilot prior to her transition. In 1944 her engine was shot down by a German aircraft. She thankfully survived the crash but was imprisoned by Germany. She was released 6 months later after weeks of interrogation and solitary confinement.
In 1948 she started to struggle with her gender identity and depression which caused her to leave her wife a see a physiatrist. She later started taking hormone therapy and formed a close friendship with Michael Dillon, the first man to medically transition. Since Dillon was studying medicine, she let him perform an illegal orchiectomy (surgical removal of the testicles) which allowed her to change her legal sex to female. She later got more gender-affirming surgeries performed by the plastic surgeon Harold Gilies. She started gaining fame in 1954 from news of her transition in British news papers. After gaining this much fame and popularity, she continued pursuing her passion in motor racing. Cowell gained even more popularity after winning the 1957 Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb. Despite her success, she was banned from the Grand Prix.
At the age of 93, she died in 2011. Although she had gained fame, only 6 people attended her funeral.
