Final finished! It's been a while, a time with almost no instagram or facebook posting, almost no social media interaction at all. I haven't even posted on my youtube channel, which is killing my brand. But after about a month and a half away, I've finally found the time to finish this piece! My mother's day gift turned kidney transplant celebration piece is finished, and is definitely something I am very proud of. Me being the eternal self-critic, I see plenty of issues that I need to rectify, but I also see plenty of areas of improvement as well. Hey, everyone! I'm back after a long hiatus from the internet! Again! A couple of things kept me away, most of which aren't that interesting and essentially come down to pure laziness and burnout. Not that important at all. However, one of those reasons is super freaking amazing, and i need everyone to know!!! For ten years, my mom has been on the kidney transplant list due to her kidney disease. Last Wednesday, August 19th, she got the call, and Thursday at 12 am, she went into surgery. A week later, she is now back at home, healing up with organs that are working the way they should. In order to celebrate, i decided to finish up this piece for her for my next YouTube video. I actually promised it to her for mothers day this year, but time mayhave gotten away from me.... Day 4 of my daily study! You'll notice on my composition study (original art by @vargasni ), i added a small thumbnail with lots of writing. I realized the last couple days that while i was learning some stuff from just doing study drawings, it wasn't as much as i absolutely could. I was learning from putting pencil to page but i wasn't really understanding the decisions being made. Oh no! I forgot to post yesterday! Im still trying to get back into the swing of this social media thing. Here is my practice work from the last few days. I'm trying to do two faces studies and one study of a landscape or composition. As i start getting a bit faster, i hope to add in an anatomy study or an animal study a day. Hey everyone! So i haven't posted in forever. I'll be talking about it in this week's YouTube video, coming on Friday, but a number of circumstances, including a bit of impostor syndrome and a lot of self doubt mixed with general busyness, has led to me not doing much drawing of late. Most of my drawing has been studies, but i found before that studies weren't that interesting on here. However, to repopulate interest in my art, I've decided to make an exception. I'll try and post my daily studies along with the other art i complete through out the coming weeks, along with my channel art. The first of the three pieces i did for Sunday's YouTube video, where i drew Pokemon fused with dnd monsters. This first combined an ettercap with delibird, the santa bird Pokemon. I came up with this guy, the armored accumulator, who uses its sticky, toxic webbing to not only carry food and treasure, but to carry its young as well.
