We know generally that 1 pound of fat is roughly equal to 3500 calories and that there are 365 days in a year. . So if you over eat by just 100 calories a day, that’s 100 calories x 365 days = 36,500 calories / by 10lb = 3650 calories per pound. . Generally there is debate over the 3500cals to the pound but don’t lose the message here and that is that excess weight doesn’t appear overnight it does appear through consistently poor habits over a period of time. . So it stands to reason to change this you need to apply consistently good habits for an equal amount of time. Anything else will be a crash approach resulting in you regaining any lost weight rapidly afterwards with more on top. . Not getting results? Track your calories....it’s calories in and calories out that matter. Obviously you can have more nutritious calories than others and some calories are more calorie dense than others. But it all adds up to the same amount for your TDEE and if your over it you will not lose weight even if your calories have come from relatively healthy foods. Theoretically speaking you could eat nothing but McDonald’s (or other reputable fast food ) daily and if your under your TDEE you could lose weight ....but you will have loads of other complications and look and feel like shit. Although the odd chicken legend with spicy mayo throughout the year is awesome. Track your calories don’t just eat something because it’s marketing says it’s healthy and expect results because as the image shows the calories can be higher than you expect.. . To get motivated just take a small action, 10 + press ups today or go out for a walk or do 10+ sit ups etc etc. . . Taking ACTION however small it may be will get you started. You don’t need to commit to an hour a day 5 days a week at this stage, just focus on today and do something. . . 10% of something is better than 100% of nothing. Hi Guys Save this as a reminder of the benefits for later 📲 by saving this post ↘️ . . ♦️First thing to get straight ....weight training doesn’t mean you have to go and lift heavy weights for 3 sets of 10 in a gym. Body weight exercises such as press ups, planks, air squats etc all count as they are classed as resistance exercises ..as in you put your muscles under tension thereby gaining the same/similar benefits as traditional weight training. . ♦️Secondly why would you do one and not the other?? Just do cardio or running and have a super fit internal system but look as if parts of your body resemble a party balloon that’s been let down a little....or just do weights and look toned and lean but can’t go upstairs without gasping like a fish out of water. Hi Guys Save this timescale as a reminder for later 📲 by saving this post ↘️ . Yes it’s possible to lose a shit ton of weight in 8-12 weeks ...but is it sustainable?....Hell no, in my experience the vast majority of cases all the weight lost in these shorter timeframe plans is regained with more on top with-in 12 months as the body struggles to adapt to the rapid recomposition changes. 6 months is more sensible but a 12 month plan will look to secure your new shape for years to come. Be smart and don’t fall for the marketing crap that’s out their at the minute promising fast results in minimal time. Most of the initial results are lost water and muscle breakdown through calories being to close to starvation. . . ♦️what’s your timescale for your goal? Do you have a pelvic tilt? One way you can find out is to stand in front of a mirror side on in just your underwear and check out the angle of the waistband. If it’s pointing down at an angle towards the floor it could be a sign that you have a pelvic tilt, meaning quite possibly tight glutes and hip flexors and poor form on squats with a loose core.
