i dropped 6 lbs in like four days
heres some tips:
i have a fasting app (life) that really helps me stick to fasts and keep track of how long ive been fasting (it also lets you know when your body enter ketosis and heavy ketosis)
what i do is fast for 16-24 hours and then have something to eat (something light but also filling and healthy)
it sounds really bad but:
- it keeps your metabolism up
- keeps people (eps parents) from catching on as fast
- helps with dizziness
the way i did it was id use the food at the end of the fast as a kinda reward?? if i only fasted for 16 hrs then id have something i don't really like and would make sure the portion was just enough. when i made it through the whole 24 hrs (or even over) then id have something i like and have a little more than just enough.
this info could already be out there and ive been super rambly but i just wanted to share :)

HOW TO STOP BINGING PSA:
I’m writing this in hopes that it helps people who message me daily asking how to stop binging.
I am in no way promoting any eating disorder behavior.
Stop trying to fast everyday!
Fasting is meant to help regulate the body, and when you do it for extended periods of time it can not only be harmful, but it leads to binges. I hear a lot of people say “it’s easier to not eat than eat something and stop.” I get it, it’s true. But it also gets really overwhelming and ruins your life.
Start fasting for just 12 hours instead of 24+
Skip breakfast, it gets you started on eating to early and can lead to an all day graze.
I go to bed at 8-9pm. So I don’t eat until 10am the next morning.
THE KEY IS TO NOT LET YOURSELF ACTUALLY GET HUNGRY.
I know that sounds scary as fuck, and it honestly is. Take bites of things when you feel the need to eat.
Hungry? Eat a banana.
Hungry? Steam a serving of broccoli and season it.
Hungry? Have 1/2 a low cal granola bar.
Make sure you spread your eating out throughout the day. Sitting down and having a meal can not only overload your emotions, but also your stomach. When you restrict your stomach shrinks, and eating too much at once can rupture your stomach.
WATER.
I know this community is full of water sluts, but like really, we fucking should be. ED or not you should be drinking plenty of water! When you’re body is dehydrated, it can mistake the need for water, for food.
Make sure what you’re eating is actually healthy. With depression and other mental health issues it can be really hard to do anything, let alone cook. Packaged food is not good for you, point blank. When you eat healthier, you feel better. You trigger a chain reaction and is easier to keep good habits when it comes to food. Go for fresh food and protein.
Don’t skip the healthy fats!!!
This is so so SO important. When you don’t consume hardly any fat (you’re brain needs fats to function,) you’re body holds onto fat in replace of that. Fish, avocado, nuts, seeds etc.
Exercise.
Most people I have come across hate exercise. Understandable. You don’t need to wild out to exercise. Walking burns a lot of calories and can do a lot for you. 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week, releases not only serotonin, but also dopamine in the brain. This is life changing for me.

Today I ate around 1000 cals to keep my metabolism on my toes and i’m gonna fast for 20 hours and then eat smth around 200-300. I’m going to be so busy for the next days i’ll barely have time to think about food! Yas bitch.
