Things have been extremely rough for me lately. As you've probably noticed I haven't posted a lot on any social media site. I'm back to taking things slowly. Although I have a handful of important things I need to get done--I'm going to go very slowly on the business side. I'm not someone who can handle running a business without getting extremely overwhelmed. Any time money is added into the equation, it automatically stresses me out. It's sort of a catch-22 as art is what I want to do for a living 😕 Comics are still on my mind. I'm going to take things slow and just... DRAW. I'm not going to focus on money... or the business side. Just. Draw. The money can come later. Just a quick tip I wanted to share: When painting something like lightning, don't think too much about the shape. Just get paint on your brush and twist it as you go, the shape will emerge on its own. 😯 I use this same technique when also drawing foliage, trees, branches, or even clouds. Just twist and drag. Quick-fix tip: if you have accidentally darkened an area too much with a pencil, use a kneaded eraser to pick most of it up first, before you try to use a regular rubber eraser.
