poor animals who were only walking like they always do, just happen to be walking across a road or a freeway, and then get blown to hell by something they were either too scared to react from or too fast to run away from

and these people don’t even try to swerve or anything they just let it happen

besides, from a logical standpoint, running something over will only fuck over your tires so why waste money like that

but people should be more concerned about killing something so unfairly with a vehicle that is so normal in today’s day and age

so i’m back from my first pride fest, it was a market with live music and i have a potentially unpopular opinion.

pride has become a bit hypersexualized.

i’ll admit, i was expecting some stuff. but pride shouldn’t be about sex. it should be about a celebration of who we are—and we are so much more than what we do in the bedroom.

it felt…wrong to be simplified into that sense. how us queers are simply sex machines.

maybe i’m too sensitive, but it genuinely felt wrong to me to have such a beautiful idea and event devolved into a sex scene.

idk does anyone else feel that way?

i don’t know who needs to hear this, but change is a process.

if you try and change yourself—wether that be bad habits or personality traits or pieces of your identity—overnight, that change won’t last. it won’t end up being worth anything because it never became anything.

real, lasting change comes from weeks and months of corrections and affirmations. it comes from slow perseverance and subtle growth. it comes from evolving.

that doesn’t come in a day.

what does come is your decision to begin today.

this applies to so many different changes: addiction, bad habits, growing, discovering your identity (personal or gender related), spirituality/religion, and so so much more.

don’t beat yourself up because you weren’t perfect the first time.

praise yourself for recognizing change needed to happen in the first place.
