CHARACTER PROMPT

okay listen, we have a main character, (doesn't matter man or women)

who has this really sweet parent, and another one that's abusive,

we go through the whole book thinking that they at least have a one good parent,

but here's the thing, our main character (or any character for that matter)

has this odd thing were he's immune to any and all illusion/mind manipulation magic (or whatever that can control one's mind)

Why? We don't know, that is, until it's later revealed that the characters parent has never married anyone (Their a single parent, the other ones a step-parent) and that the person who was abusing the character was them,

The character disillusioned themselves into believing that their parent is sweet, and that they never abused them, so they created this new person, who's the one hurting them, not the other one, no, they love them,

And that's why they don't get affected by illusion magic,

After all,

Ones who's already living in one can't be tricked into another

I just had an idea.

Children of Selene/Luna; Cabin 25 Headcanons

They're mom was the charioteer of the Moon, so naturally they're great behind the wheel.

Designated drivers during night-outs.

The road trip dream team with children of Helios/Sol. Tag-team. Helios/Sol kids drive in the day, Selene kids drive in the night, they can cross the country together.

Children of Selene/Luna who are insomniacs because they inherited their mom's habit of watching over their loved ones while they sleep, the way Selene watched over the mortal Endymion.

Children of Selene/Luna who's moods correspond with the moon phases. It's a trait some of them have. The more the moon wanes, the moodier they get.

Children of Selene/Luna who just can't get out of bed and are physically ill during Lunar Eclipses because the moon is blocked.

Children of Selene/Luna who can shape moonlight into solid shapes and use them as shields or weapons or even platforms to hover on.

On the flipside, though, they feel great during solar eclipses.

Children of Selene/Luna who can sense the tides. Not control it, but they can sense changes in it.

This brought me out of a writing slump.
