Im on the last episode of season 2 and i had to stop it, the intro got to me. It hurt my heart very much that sexual assault happens everyday. It hurts me to know people i love have had to go through what ive gone through, what im still going through.

Its taken me over a week to finish 13 reasons why. It is one of my favorite shows ever and i think people should see it, it talks about what goes on everyday around that people are blind to. Its more than "a show that glamorizes suicide," it shows you the real life consequences of our actions. It talks about what rape so truthfully, and what can happen from it, and bullying, substance abuse, which happens all around us everyday. People are upset about the show talking about it but it is always happening, ignoring it worsens the issue. If we dont talk about how are we going to know what to do about it? It is hard to watch, its very hard to watch for me because ive experienced all that, but its real life, doesnt matter how much you ignore it it still happens. I dont think a show should be shamed for that. There are people who go through this everyday and with this atleast they know theyre not alone. Maybe watching the show is the one reason they dont relapse, or they dont kill themself, or they decide to tell someone about their sexual assault. The show is something that makes my heart hurt, but its not indended to make you happy. Everytime someone is bullied or gets hurt or gets a flashback I cry too, its like im right there with them, and i know im not alone. Its that how shows should make you feel? Passionate?
