You don’t remember what you do for a living. Literally. You black out for 8 hours 5 days a week and a paycheck appears once per month.

Today I went grocery shopping. Easy, right? I had to shift all my small backpack items into my large backpack so I could carry my groceries on the way home. I slipped my wallet into the left pocket so I wouldn’t lose it.

Fast forward, I just got home and I’m putting my groceries away. I finish that and put my shopping bags back into my large backpack. Then I go back to my room to move all my small backpack items back again.

I notice the pocket where I had secured my wallet was open. I internally freaked out but didn’t show it. I had to go all the way back to the grocery store to see if I had dropped it. I asked all the shops nearby if they had a wallet turned in, but no luck.

Begrudgingly I go back home empty-handed. I now start to externally freak out because all of our ID and bank cards are in that wallet. We only have a photo of our health card on our phone, so it’s going to be difficult filing a police report.

I head back to my room, nearly pulling my hair out, and get the crazy idea of “what if I didn’t even move my wallet over?” So I check my small backpack’s pocket that I keep my wallet in.

And there’s my wallet. Safe and sound. I almost lost my shit and had to do so much extra travelling for this stupid thing. All that stress for nothing.

I hate grocery day.

TL;DR I moved my wallet to a new backpack, went shopping, then got home to find it gone. I backtracked my way to the store, no luck. I go home and check the old backpack. There’s my wallet. I got so stressed for nothing.

Well. The day has come where my knee braces just aren’t supportive enough. I’ve opted for a small supportive cane. It’s blue and I’m going to plaster stickers all over it.

My doctor still doesn’t know what’s causing the pain and swelling yet. It’s been 3 years of this, constantly. Who knows what it could be?
