GENERATIONS: Memories Alright (Book 13) - Chapter Six & Chapter Seven are now up on AO3!
Sneak Peaks: Ch. 6 & Ch. 7 Characters: Freddy Fazbear, Chica Fazbear, Carl the Cupcake, Foxy Fox, Bonnie Cottontail, Mama Cottontail, Silas Cottontail, the Marionette Word Counts: 392; 332
Chapter Six:
He had been keeping his legs up from out of the water, while he simply watched the water stream by. Being alone with his thoughts as he waited for his friends to join him, allowed Bonnie a chance to think back over what few memories from his childhood he could remember. He couldn't help but try thinking of only the ones which made him smile.
• • •
"Watch your feet," The little bunny promptly pulled his feet up onto the rock, hearing his mother suddenly gasping a little. "The water's cold, don't want you gettin' sick, baby." He looked up towards his mother, who was now smirking. She reached a hand over, tussling the tuft of fur on the top of his head. "No, you don't. 'S no fun gettin' sick, hm?"
"Nuh-uh!" Her son answered, before he stood up on the rock. "Oh, careful, Bonnie-!" She watched him easily jump off the rock, heading over to plant himself in her lap. His mother spared him no second before she was wrapping her arms around her son in a hug. The little bunny giggled, his nose barely poking out above her arms. "Love ya!" She told him, kissing him on the top of the head. "Love'a!"
• • •
"Hey!" Bonnie blinked. Looking over his shoulder, he saw his friends finally joining him. Chica was already laying out the blanket, with Foxy catching the opposite corner to make sure it was set down flat over the ground. Bonnie stood up, heading to sit on the blanket with the others. "Hey, guys."
"We's didn't keep ya's waitin' too long, did we, matey?" Foxy wondered. Bonnie shook his head 'no'. "Nope, just got here before the rest of you." He answered with a shrug. "Left your guitar at home?" Freddy asked next, quite obviously noticing the instrument to not be anywhere in sight. "Yup... didn't quite feel like bringing it, I guess." Bonnie replied.
There was a brief few seconds of awkward silence that came over the four, filled only by the sounds of the closeby brook. The three could tell Bonnie was the one seeming most awkward, even with their meetup being arranged as just a normal hang out. As normal as they'd been in the past. Though, there must've been an unspoken agreement that it wasn't exactly like that this time. (read more)
Chapter Seven:
"Y'shouldn't be... gettin' b'tween things that ain't y'er business..." Freddy couldn't help roll his eyes. "It is my business when someone thinks they can just do that to one of my closest friends." He refuted. "... Any well respectin' Fazbear wouldn't... find 'emselves befriendin' no Cottontail..." Freddy's eyes narrowed, as he side glanced the old bunny again. Puzzled by that statement. "... What?"
"So, you's best not go... tellin' me how I aughta deal wit' m'son... y'hear?" Brushing aside the previous comment for now, Freddy shook his head. "Bonnie's an adult, you can't 'deal with' him at all. Even if he were still a kid, you still can't." Freddy argued, keeping a level tone. It was then he realized Silas had stopped walking with him.
Turning around, the bear could see the rage still clear in the bunny's old eyes. "I ain't... bout'a let ya disr'spect me... the whole way back..." Freddy deadpanned a little. "... 'm takin' a cab..."
"Fine by me," Freddy answered, pulling out his phone. "I'll call you one, then you never have to talk to me again." Silas scoffed. "You'll... see that I don't...!"
——— ✧ ———
The sun had nearly finished setting, in the time he'd been sitting outside on the front step. He hadn't been meaning to exactly be anti-social the past couple days, but everyone had noticed how quiet he'd been. In truth, he needed to be, while he processed what Py had explained about his mother and brother.
Puppet had been leaning with his arms on his knees, staring at the ground in thought. He had begun accepting his mother's passing, and was now beginning to be curious as to where his brother was at that moment.
Just from the note, he could tell Nat was angry... he wished his brother would just turn up in town, hoping maybe a family reunion could help him. Finally getting to meet his sister-in-law, and nieces... A faint smile appeared on Puppet's face at the thought. (read more)

Freedom AU Drabble #2
Find the chapter on Wattpad, or read below the cut!
Characters: The Marionette, Fredbear, Mike, Sophie Grant Word Count: 660
The young man was fidgeting where he stood outside the nearly abandoned building. He'd swore he'd never return again, not after everything he and his father's old friend had tried to do in putting this all to an end. The awful memories this place held, even the company itself held, was almost too much for him to face again.   Not alone, that is.   But now he was standing on the curb, waiting for his invitees to arrive. They'd agreed to this a bit too easily, in his opinion. Sophie especially. While it was strange, sure, he chalked it up to her only having had experience being a night guard watching non-animatronics.   And that was also really strange to him. The fact those cursed robots were designed after actual... was "people" even the right term? They're not humans, they're monsters. The young man shook his head. No, not monsters... He quietly huffed. He forgot the word for their kind. But they were real, and alive, and breathing—with emotions, feelings, souls all their own, and some with real fur instead of artificial pelts.   His pre-existing bias and feelings towards the animatronics was still tainting his view of these people. They seemed nice. Sophie spoke very highly of them. But, there was still something that simply put him off. He sighed. He'd just have to give it time.   He checked the time on his watch again. Ten minutes to midnight. He began tapping his foot impatiently. He preferred to get inside the security office before midnight. A car finally pulled into the near empty lot, it's headlights shutting off as the driver pulled the keys from the ignition.   Three people got out—the driver being significantly shorter than her passengers. The taller passenger was stretching his neck a bit, while the shorter adjusted his grip of a cane. The young man couldn't help but shake his head a little. "Hey, Mike!"   "Sophie, you were almost late," Mike told her, as the three approached. He looked over to the two others. "Mare, thanks for coming. And, eh..." He turned his attention to the bear. "Gold, you too... but I'm not sure it was a good idea of you coming." Thanks to the overhead light over the building's entrance, Gold noticed Mike giving a quick glance to his cane. The bear's eyes narrowed. "If this place is as dangerous as your tellin' us, then let me say I can handle myself just fine."   "Right." Mike hummed. "So, uh, is that your uniform?" He asked, nodding to Sophie. "Yeah," She confirmed. "Alright... Well, I didn't know yours was blue." Sophie laughed a little, and replied with, "Maybe it's just a branch specific thing. That's probably why yours is purple, y'know?" Mike blinked. He looked down to himself, muttering something under his breath. Man, he really hadn't been thinking, had he? Sighing in exasperation, Mike pinched the bridge of his nose. "Something wrong?" The Marionette asked him. "No... Yes. It's just," Mike shook his head. "They tend to have more of a... reaction to the colour purple, and they..." The three of them exchanged looks with one another. Mike seemed to be strangely bothered by this. Taking just a second to consider his idea, Puppet shrugged off his dark coat—handing it over to Mike. The man looked at it. He then looked at Puppet. "Take it," The Marionette offered. Slowly, Mike took the offered jacket, and put it on, making sure to zip it up all the way. It fit him well, though was a little long on him. Not that it really mattered. "... Thanks." Fishing his key ring from his pocket, Mike continued with unlocking the building. "It's almost midnight," He reminded them—successfully opening the door. Pocketing his keys, Mike then took his flashlight off his belt. "We are going straight to the security office, and we don't leave until six AM, got it?" Sophie shrugged, nodding on everyone's behalf.

I found a new song today, “If I Walk Away” by Josh Groban :)
My brain immediately attached Fred Bear & Maisie to every part of the song, so now it makes me wanna cry from the bittersweet energy I’ve now connected to this song :,(
I’ll probably cave and make a Tumblr post with my notes on the lyrics for the *several* drawing ideas that this song gave me, because the alternative is me getting back to drawing this in several weeks or months from now TvT

GENERATIONS: Memories Alight (Freedom AU Book 13) - Chapter Four & Chapter Five are now up on AO3!
Sneak Peaks: Ch. 4, Ch. 5 Characters: Freddy Fazbear, Chica Fazbear, Bonnie Bunny, Toy Chica, Puppet Marionette, Ballora Marionette, Pyped Marionette Word Counts: 433; 471
Chapter Four:
"What were you staring at just now?" Freddy first looked back at the bulletin board, then finally giving Chica his full attention again. "The pamphlet for the shelter."
"Oh, okay...?" Freddy shrugged. "It just reminded me of something," Chica let him continue, biting into her scone. "Last I heard, Silas was still staying there..." Chica's expression fell a little, making a good guess as to where Freddy's thoughts had trailed off to from there. "And, I know it isn't really our place to pry in on Bonnie's personal life like this, but it's just..."
"We're worried for him." Chica said. Freddy nodded. "I get it, the four of us have been close friends, for a long time. Of course we'll get worried if someone doesn't seem okay... no matter why that is." Freddy now seemed to have a pensive look on his face, clearly trying to figure something in his mind.
"It's been a little while since we last all met up together, just the four of us," The bear noted. "We should plan something." Chica nodded, agreeing to the idea. "Though," She began, only barely seeming unsure as a thought occurred to her. "You don't think Bonnie will take it as us planning some kind of intervention, maybe, will he?" Freddy considered that for a moment, before shaking his head 'no'. "That's not what we're doing, Chica."
"I know it isn't..."
"We'll only plan for the four of us to get together, to just spend some time together like normal," Freddy continued. "If it comes up that Bonnie wants to tell us anything at all, he oughta know we're more than happy to listen." Chica hummed, seeing his point. "But if he doesn't want to, he knows we'll respect that too." Freddy nodded.
"Alright, then it sounds like a plan." The bear smiled. "We'll finish up with these books here, then I'll call up the others to arrange it." Chica gave a nod, satisfied with the idea. "Perfect. Oh, and your scone's getting cold." She pointed out, before taking another bite from her's. Freddy blinked, finally realizing the pastries were fresh baked. "Oh-!"
——— ✧ ———
By the time she'd counted her father-in-law's thirty-fourth lap of pacing about the back deck, Ballora decided to maybe stop counting. Though, simply seeing how nervous Py had grown while waiting for Puppet to return to the house, made Ballora rightfully assume what he was finally about to tell them wouldn't exactly be good news. That, and along with how it was clearly a burden of information he was bearing, which made her sympathetic towards him. (read more)
Chapter Five:
"Don't stop, it sounded good!" Bonnie smirked. "Thanks," He answered, watching as she slowly sat across from him on the top of the porch steps. Leaning against the opposite railing pillar that he was. Toy set her mug down first, before leaning over far enough to hand Bonnie his. "What song was that?"
"You know? I've forgotten the name of it," Bonnie confessed. "It's one of the earliest songs we used to perform... I don't remember it bein' a crowd favorite, though." Toy hummed. "Bummer, it's super catchy." Bonnie shrugged. "You're not wrong, guess that's why it was stuck in my head all mornin'." Toy giggled a little bit.
The couple settled in silence for a few minutes, both drinking their tea before it could get too cooled. Casually glancing around, Toy's sights landed on the tree in the corner of their yard. With the odd green leaf still left on its branches, the warmer colored leaves had already began falling slowly. She smiled. "Somethin' funny?"
"Kinda," Toy looked back at Bonnie. "I just remembered when we were kids, every fall we'd always rake up a huge pile of leaves and just dive in at once." She told him, laughing a little at the memory. Bonnie laughed too. "Don't think we really cared if it made raking take longer. It was always fun." Toy added with a shrug. "Ah... you four had to rake leaves?" Toy nodded, though didn't seem bothered by the memory of her and her siblings being made to rake so many leaves, on top of the other chores they did growing up.
Thinking for a few seconds, the memory Toy shared seemed to bring one of his own to the front of Bonnie's mind. "I used to do the same thing when I was little. Well, I didn't have to rake the leaves... our yard wasn't really upkept all that well... I'd kinda just gather up as many leaves as I could and cannonball into them." Toy smiled, and Bonnie chuckled. "That'd easily keep me entertained an entire afternoon."
"Aww, you sounded like a cute kid," Toy said. Bonnie glanced off a little from her comment, but was still smirking. "Ever get anyone else to jump in the leaves with you?" His smirk faltered a little. "No, I don't remember there bein' other kids livin' closeby." Bonnie answered. "... Parents, then?"
"... My mom would, when I was real little."
"That's sweet." Toy then said, before falling quiet for a minute. She noticed how Bonnie's expression had suddenly become distant upon bringing up his family. It almost deterred her entirely from asking another question on her mind, though after a second she decided to ask anyway.
"Bun... can I ask you something?" Bonnie looked back up to her, waiting for her to continue. "About your dad...?" His gaze fell, (read more)

Freedom AU Announcement!
Due to a change of circumstances for me irl, which I'm unsure how long will last for but at the very least the rest of the summer, the schedule for new chapters is going to be switched up a bit.
Going back to how things used to work, new chapters are going to be posted on Saturdays instead of Tuesdays. And depending on what's going on that week, there may still be the odd chapter update on a Tuesday, but I will be mainly sticking to Saturday updates again for the near future.
On Saturdays where there is no chapter, there will always be some announcement to say either because it's the last Saturday of the month, or because XYZ came up and I'll be posting Tuesday that week.
That's all for now. The next chapter for 'Remember When' will be posted on July 5th, so stay tuned, and thank you for the patience. Have a lovely weekend!

GENERATIONS: Memories Alight (Freedom AU Book 13) - Chapter Two & Chapter Three are now up on AO3!
Sneak Peaks: Ch. 2 & Ch. 3 Characters: Freddy Fazbear, Golden Freddy, Bonnie Bunny, Puppet Marionette, Pyped Marionette, Chica Fazbear, Annie Fazbear, Carl the Cupcake Word Counts: 445; 448
Chapter Two:
"Guess I'm not the only one who wanted a walk in the park?" He guessed, chuckling a little. Freddy chuckled along with him. "Technically not, though I'm just waiting for Puppet." He clarified. Bonnie nodded. "Ah. Just meetin' up for the hay of it?" Freddy shrugged. "Actually, he's heading with me to visit my mom. I'm curious if any of her childhood photographs might remind him of anything significant that could help us figure out a little family mystery, of sorts."
"Ooh, what kind of mystery?" Bonnie wondered, sounding quite intrigued. "Trying to track down my Aunt and Grandfather. They've been in hiding for years now." Freddy explained. He shook his head a little. "So, we're definitely going to need all the help we can get." Bonnie hummed. "Yeah, no kiddin'. Sounds a little daunting." He commented, "... But, it's gotta be worth the efforts if you do find 'em." Freddy nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it does... I might quote you on that, for my mom." Bonnie shrugged. "By all means!"
The brief chat between the two hit a few seconds pause, with Freddy noticing Bonnie's satchel slung across his chest and shoulder. "Got a job you're heading to, Bon?" The bunny adjusted the strap of the bag, as he answered, "Just came from one. I've got time to kill, so I decided to take a walk." He said. "Guess it isn't a bad day for one." Freddy stated. Bonnie gave a small shrug. "Yeah, it's fine... I'd be out here even if it was, actually."
"Really?"
"Sure... um, a walk can really help me think." Freddy's expression softened a little, as he noticed a small shift in his friend's demeanor for a moment. Bonnie had started subconsciously fidgeting with the strap of his work satchel, staring off a moment or two. The bear put a hand on his shoulder, bringing him back to the present. "Hey, are you doing alright, Bonnie?"
The bunny blinked a few times, straightening up a bit, and giving Freddy a casual smile. "Yeah, I'm fine." Despite that answer, his best friend was still giving him a subtle, worried look. Bonnie shrugged. "We'll talk later about it?" Freddy asked him. "Right... next time we all get together."
"Sounds good."
Bonnie then looked over the bear's shoulder, seeing Puppet heading up the sidewalk. "There's Puppet." Freddy glanced over, spotting him. "I've gotta head off," Bonnie then said. Turning back to his friend, Freddy nodded. "See you around, Bon." The bunny offered a small salute goodbye, before heading down the other direction of the sidewalk.
Finally making it over to the bear, the Marionette greeted him. "Hey, hope I didn't keep you waiting."  (read more)
Chapter Four:
" Py's growing tenseness was all the more obvious now. "At this point, I'm starting to wonder if... something's happened to them... so, when...?" Py opened his mouth to speak. He stopped short, instead taking in a deep breath to try calming himself—if even slightly. "I'm still... in the process of gathering my thoughts... making them coherent enough to share."
"Dad, I don't need you to give it to me in the most clear cut and dry explanation," Puppet said. "I just want to know where they are. I don't know if I should be worried, upset, or if I should be doing what Fredbear and Freddy are doing right now with their family. I just need something." Py's gaze had fallen to his lap, internally kicking himself for keeping his son in some sort of limbo like this.
He hesitated greatly when he said, "Tomorrow... Speak with Ballora, you both can choose an hour tomorrow..." Py saw that his son had a curious expression, when he finally brought himself to look him in the eyes. "I will... sit down with you both, and we'll talk about it then." Puppet gave a nod, agreeing to his father's proposition. He then offered the elder Marionette a hug. To which Py slowly reciprocated. "Tomorrow it is. You'll have Bal' and mine's ear."
  "... Thank you."
——— ✧ ———
A quiet evening was always the most pleasant part of a busy day. And it was always an added bonus when Annie easily fell asleep for the evening. (Even if she'd most likely be waking her parents up in the middle of the night, anyways). Freddy suspected their little cub had gotten tuckered out from playing with her dad, along with Carl joining in on entertaining her.
He smiled, recalling the fresh memory from not even a few hours ago. The bear still wore said smile as he returned back upstairs, returning to Annie's nursery—where Chica was holding the little cub. Swaying a little on her feet, rocking Annie and keeping her settled. Freddy quietly hummed, surprised to see how Annie had fallen back asleep so easily without her pacifier. Which he'd quick gone off to clean, after it'd wound up dropped on the floor.
Walking up to the two, Freddy gently held the pacifier to the cub's mouth. Annie took it, seeming to rest even more contentedly after. Freddy smiled at the sight, before her finally noticed Chica to barely be smiling. Something was clearly on her mind, seeing how her eyes had narrowed a bit, and that she wasn't looking directly at the sleeping cub in her arms.
"Hey," Freddy quietly said, bringing Chica's attention back to reality. "You alright?" (read more)

Remember When? (Freedom AU Book 14) - Bedtime Story is now up on Wattpad!
Sneak Peak: Ch. 4 Characters: Minireenas - Lucette, Rosette, Mina & Tina, Pyped Marionette, Sana Marionette, Nat Marionette, Puppet Marionette Word Count: 321 + 1 art piece by @kittytoasteere <3
A small silence in the room began to settle, the Minireenas now beginning to feel more tired the longer they laid in their cozy beds. Their tiredness kept them from realizing that their grandfather was noticing as much while sitting with them. The four were none the wiser as an idea came to Py.
"I remember when your grandmother used to make these wonderful little flower crowns." The comment was met with sleepy eyes widening somewhat in surprise. "Woah... she's did...?" Mina reacted, yawning immediately following her question. Py nodded. "Yes. She'd sometimes make them purely for fun, or she'd make them for special occasions."
"What kinds'a... occasions, GrandPy?" Rosette asked tiredly. Py hummed. "The first day of summer, to name one." His granddaughters all fell quiet, looking to be listening for another memory retelling. With a subtle amusement to his smile, the elder Marionette continued on.

It was warm. The afternoon sky was bright and blue, the colors of the flowers within the surrounding foliage looking ever vibrant on that particular day. He felt as though the very sun in all it's bright, golden glory was bringing a warmth to his very SOUL, though in truth, the scene before him—which seemed framed by the very foliage and brightly colored flowers around them—was the source of the warmth he was feeling that afternoon.
Pyped watched on with a smile at the sight of the three most precious souls to him sat together in the lush, green grass. The hand stitched quilt spread out beneath them. He didn't want to approach and interrupt the scene just yet, not when they hadn't spotted him returning either.
No, Pyped wanted to stand back just a moment longer to watch the scene before him play out. In his mind's eye, he was capturing every detail of the moment so he could think back on the memory after it was over. (read more)

Happy Father’s Day!
Give your dad, grandpa, or fatherly figure in your life a big hug to remind them you love ‘em!
A little bit upset that it’s been so busy I hadn’t have the time to do anything “Father’s Day” with Freedom AU. Or that I had it in me to do anything in the past either.
I do love the dad characters in my AU, though! Arthur was just this tired dad who didn’t stop until his family was reunited. He always stayed dedicated to his wife and his children, as he loved them so dearly.
Fred Bear is just a big teddy bear and as much a family man as his son-in-law. He has a big heart, and it breaks when anything bad happens to his daughters or his grandcubs. He wishes nothing less than to see them reunited again…
The Marionette, Puppet, absolutely will and has fought for his daughters his hardest to keep them safe no matter what. He always does with 110% of his efforts, the last thing he wants to see is harm befall his precious girls.
Pyped Marionette, while reserved, always tries to think of the wisest decision when he’d tried keeping his sons safe, and then after in trying to find Puppet. And he’s already gotten himself wrapped around the little fingers of his granddaughters, who he loves to pieces.
Springtrap is always wary of humans, or of anyone he isn’t sure of, but it’s all in the name of keeping Plushtrap and Spring Shine safe. And when he isn’t giving any shifty characters death glares when out with his family, he’s a huge softie towards Plushy. Which is part of why Plushy loves his dad so much.
Foxy is grateful of the good to his heart his relationship with the Balloon Twins did him, and he’ll always just beam with pride at how BB & JJ treat Jessie and Junior truly like their own siblings—no matter the Balloon Twins being adoptive. Warms his soul to see the kiddos as close as they are, as he knows he must be doing right be them—and that’s what he strives to do every day.
And Freddy, while still new to being a dad, he still looks back up to Arthur as an example on how a loving father is. He could only imagine how proud Arthur would be, seeing him now, in taking care of Annie. Bernadette has always assured Freddy that she knows Arthur must be smiling down, watching his grandcub being cared for by the loving father his son turned out to be.
Okay, well, I guess all that can be Freedom AU’s belated Father’s Day thingy. May this be a sign to give your dad a hug, if he’s an awesome one. Or just give a hug to any father-type figure in your life. Don’t take ‘em for granted!

GENERATIONS: Memories Alight (Freedom AU Book 13) - Prologue & Chapter One are now up on AO3!
Sneak Peaks: Prologue and Ch. 1 Characters: Chica the Chicken, Freddy Fazbear, Annie Fazbear, Francine Fazbear, Bernadette Fazbear, Fred Bear, Arthur Fazbear, Andrew Phelps Word Counts: 444 and 479
Prologue:
Fred Bear adjusted his hold of his ukulele again, beginning a faster pace strum for their next song—one of his daughter's favorites of his, perfectly fitting for the occasion.
From the sidelines of the audience, Andrew was smiling and shaking his head. He hadn't been aware his friend was planning for this, though maybe he ought've guessed when he'd spotted the bear's daughter, and his misses sitting amongst the audience, sharing some cupcakes they'd undoubtedly gotten from the local bakery. The crowd seemed to enjoy the father and daughter duetting together. He was, too, when he wasn't selling tickets to more people who wished to watch the rest of the show.
Andrew had a small suspicion that folks liked seeing such a wholesome performance, making for people wanting to watch the whole show. And that was fine by him. More tickets sold, meant a little extra for Fred Bear—who would most likely spend it on something special for Bernadette's birthday. Since, at the end of the day, this was one of the main reasons Fred Bear was keen on the idea of this show. Having this way to earn a little extra money during the summer, using all his earnings to take care of his small family.
The crowd watching the show was larger than he'd expected it to be. Normally, there were much less people. The young bear was already dismissing his hope of getting a good spot at a picnic table to watch the show. He clasped the money in his vest pocket, which he'd saved from his allowance to buy a ticket. Using his well earned allowance money on a ticket to a show he'd barely be able to even see? Seemed like  a waste.
Sighing a little to himself, the young bear looked around for a solution. There was a bench back past the picnic tables. It was far enough to ensure he got a good view of the show, and maybe here the man selling tickets wouldn't take note of him. After all, people sat on this bench all the time. He was no different.
The young bear made his way off to the currently empty bench, sitting in the very middle of it. He certainly got a perfect view of the father and daughter sitting and singing on the bandstand step. In exchange for the perfect view, it was a bit harder to hear the singing from where he was. But that was alright, he'd heard Fred Bear sing many times before, and anyways, he'd just been standing closeby long enough to hear Bernadette singing, too. She sings pretty. He thought to himself, smiling a little. (read more)
Chapter 1:
Freddy and Chica made their way over, standing beside her in the entryway. Bernadette was still sitting comfortably with Annie asleep in her arms and the photo book open in her lap. She eventually glanced up when she realized everyone was looking at her. "Hello, you two. Did you have a good time?" The couple nodded. "We did. Thanks again for watching Annie, Mom."
"Oh Freddy, you don't need to thank me. I'm always glad to spend time with my little grandcub, you know that." Freddy chuckled, shaking his head a little. Chica, however, made her way over to gently take Annie from her grandmother—whole gladly held her towards her mother.
Now holding her daughter again, Chica gave her a small kiss on the cheek. "Has she been sleeping long?" She wondered. "I'd say about a half hour. She's all fed and cleaned, ready for a good night's sleep." Chica nodded. For a moment, Annie's eyes appeared beneath droopy eyelids, likely realizing she was not longer in her grandmother's arms. Chica rocked her in her arms, coaxing the little cub back to sleep.
"Then, we should probably go get her to bed now." Chica said, looking over to see Freddy nod in agreement. "Before you all leave," Bernadette began. "I just wanted to show you a photo." The couple watched as she picked up the book from the couch. Bernadette turned a few pages over, finding the one she'd been showing Francine a moment ago. She held it for the two of them to see.
"This is a photo from when I was little, and from when my sister was a baby." Chica gave her mother-in-law an inquisitive look. "Oh, yes, you've mentioned her a couple times, haven't you?" Bernadette nodded. "I have, yes. Anyhow, I was lookin' at this photo when it dawned on me how much Annie looks like she did as a baby." Having pointed out the obvious, the resemblance now became clear to Freddy and Chica. "I was going to mention that she looked familiar, guess that explains why!"
Laughing quietly, Bernadette flattened the pages of photos and closed the book again, setting it down on the coffee table. "I didn't realize you had a photo book with such old photos in it, Mom." Freddy said. "I found it a little while ago in an old suitcase," Bernadette explained. "We couldn't bring much with us while we were lookin' for you and your brother, but I wasn't about to leave behind our family photos. I made certain of that."
Still keeping Annie resting comfortably in her arms, Chica thought of something. "If it's okay for me to ask, where is your sister now?" Bernadette sighed, shaking her head a little. "The last I saw her, or my Papa... was around the time human townsfolk had started situatin' us in that camp just outside town..." (read more)

New Chapter Posted!
Remember When? (Freedom AU Book 14) - Keeps You Warm is now up on Wattpad!
Sneak Peak: Ch. 3 Characters: Puppet, The Minireenas (Lucette, Rosette, Mina, Tina), Nat Marionette(Nightmarionne), Pyped Marionette, Sana Marionette Word Count: 416 + 1 AU fanart from @kittytoasteere
Relaxing a little, Nat stood by the end table—his gaze fixated on his mother's hands as she continued her sewing job.
The simple melody playing from their mother's music box kept the silence away after the exchange, and from the corner of his eye, Puppet spotted the strings again. With every string his mother thread through the fabric, the rest of the sewing work seemed to glimmer ever slightly. Something Puppet only ever best noticed when cuddled against the quilt while Sana sewed. And something that had him looking down at the quilt from his comfortable spot amongst the plush fabric squares.

The Minireenas smiled with their dad and grandfather, hearing the story their father had recounted as best as he could remember. "Did's you always cuddle in the quilt when Grandma sewed it, Daddy?" Lucette wondered, to which Puppet nodded. "Pretty much." He then laughed a little, another childhood memory coming to him.
"Actually, something your Grandma would do sometimes when I was especially little, is she would work on her quilt just before my bedtime. So, she'd let me cuddle in the quilt until I would fall asleep. Then the next morning I'd wake up in my bed, all confused as to how I'd gotten there." The Minireenas laughed, too. "I remember that 'trick' of hers," Py began, a knowing look about him. "Once you'd fall asleep, I was the one who'd carry you off to your bed."
"Ah, so you were her partner in crime, then!" Puppet teased, his father laughing. "If that's what you'd like to call it." Puppet shook his head a little in his amusement.
Mina then gently tapped her father's wrist to gain his attention. "Daddy? Where's is the quilt now?" Puppet blinked. His smile faltered a little—his laughter having died down. The Marionette glanced off with a growing confused look. "I... don't know..." He puzzled expression was then directed at his dad. "Where is Mom's quilt?"
"Your brother." Py answered. "He took it with him... when he..." The elder Marionette trailed off, not needing to give his younger son the explanation of events again in front of the Minireenas—who were curiously glancing between the two.
"I only pray he still kept it after all this time." Py continued, a subtle uncertainty in his tone. Puppet sighed. "... I'll bet he does." The Minireenas watched their grandfather as he gave their dad a look—one which the four of them couldn't quite decipher. "Why wouldn't he?" (read more)
