Earth Day

From the depths of the sea to the skies above

Our home, this Earth, is a symbol of endless love

But sadly, we've taken it for granted

Leaving it damaged and utterly slanted

Earth Day reminds us to open our eyes

To the beauty and fragility beneath the disguise

For Gaia, our mother, cries out in pain

And it's up to us to break this chain

Let's stand together, hand in hand

And pledge to protect this precious land

For the birds that soar and the fish that swim

And for the future generations, we must begin

Every breath we take is a gift from our Earth

Yet, we continue to exploit, deplete and overburden its dearth
