I have a feeling Disney has some plans for Treasure Planet, maybe a reboot or live-action adaptation..
Because literally today is the films anniversary and Disney posted about it saying “there’s always more to explore…” so hint maybe they’re working on something
Also, to be honest Treasure Planet is one of those underrated movies that deserves more than anything to have a live-action adaptation.
Anyways happy Treasure Planet Day!!

My unpopular costume design opinion: Jacqueline Durran should’ve won the Oscar for best costume design for Atonement rather than Little Women
Like in Little Women they wear LITERAL UGGS like what?!
And then you have Atonement with one of the most recognizable dresses in film history the iconic green dress

Trust me on this, if you didn’t have or weren’t on the-Draco-phase-wheel you definitely had a Marauders Era phase and a Regulus Black phase…

I refuse to romanticize Snow in any way, he’s quite despicable but I will admit his 18-year old self has an elite sense of dark humour…

Guys Rogue One just made me so sad…
It’s the first Star Wars movie that I’ve ever watched and to be honest I was taken aback at how GOOD IT WAS
I’m actually so sad because I kept on thinking it would get better like at least they wouldn’t kill Jyn and CASSIAN but AHHHHH IT TOOK ME OFFGUARD THAT THEY TOO DIED
I don’t think I’ll recover….

It’s the fact that Gwen admits to Miles:
“In every other universe Gwen Stacy falls for Spiderman…
And in every other universe it doesn’t end well.”
At the same clock tower in which in another universe, another New York, it’s the same clock tower that Andrew’s Gwen falls and that Peter Parker looses Gwen forever.

Can we all appreciate that Miles Morales always chooses to go against the odds, and proves that he can do it
In into the spiderverse they didn’t believe that he was ready to be Spider-Man but he took that leap of faith and became Spider-Man
In Across the Spiderverse he chooses to defy the pre-existant fate that is set out for him. He chooses to take control over his own fate to have agency and choice
He doesn’t allow some canon events to define who he is but rather he’s fighting for his life and for his story to belong to him

The absolute wonderful aspect about Amy March is how human and precious she is.
Amy is unapologetically ambitious. She knows what she wants, and she isn’t ashamed of it. (And might I remind you ambition is normally viewed negatively for women in society). While Jo does have the incentive and goal to achieve her dreams, Amy’s ambitions are a lot stronger.
And perhaps it is her ambitious nature that drives her towards the rivalry and jealousy she has towards Jo. She constantly compares herself to Jo, because they’re both struggling (although in different mediums), within the arts… an extremely competitive field.
But in the end we must bear the fact that Jo becomes successful within the writing field, while Amy isn’t a successful artist.
She lacks the success as an artist, within the field she has dedicated her dreams, her life, and her time to and she needs to comes to terms with it.
However even her quitting is commendable, because Amy doesn’t settle for being normal or mediocre within the field she is genuinely passionate about.

I think we often forget that monsters are made, they don’t just merely come into existence. They are shaped and formed by people, society, etc.
Their beginnings are almost child like, they long for the caring of others but are also selfish in nature. They don’t fully care about the emotions of their creator but that’s because they have that child mindset that needs to learn what empathy and sympathy are. This child like nature of them makes them increasingly susceptible to the foreign world their faced with. But also that’s the fine line that dictates the difference between a monster you love and one that you hate. Similar to Frankenstein.

It will never not be funny to me the fact that H.P Lovecraft and his mother would scream parts of Shakespeare’s plays at one another at night and the neighbours would think they were fighting…
Also let’s not forget that he was extremely racist and xenophobic

I found out that IWWV is being adapted and I have mixed feelings (mostly negative) because I genuinely believe this book is so beautiful and so well written that no adaptation can do it justice. You can adapt its aesthetic perfectly but how can you adapt it in its entirety, it’s soul, it’s language, it’s structure….
Perhaps I will be proved wrong but for now I want to hold this book close in its true form of paper and ink

I love Neil Gaiman as a writer, he bends the world of literature and words into stories you never thought possible.
Like how can you misspell the word “Caroline” into “Coraline” and wonder who is this person? And think I want to know more about her and end-up creating her, and a whole world in a Alice-in-Wonderland-type-esque story
OR
How can you turn Dream into such a beautiful morally gray character and think of his functionality throughout the universe, his voice, his traits, his qualities and tie in real events to your plot like the Sleeping Sickness epidemic (1915-1926).
I am always in awe….

Oliver was so real for being genuinely the most concerned about his allergies and sneezing in Fredrick’s class while Richard, James, Meredith, Wren, Alexander, and Filippa were ripping each other’s heads off arguing about the structure of Shakespearean Tragedies.
Like same bro chalk is my #1 enemy…

I’m sorry but Disney doesn’t deserve forgiveness for not taking the marketing of Treasure Planet and Atlantis as seriously as it should have.
Jim Hawkins and Milo Thatch deserve the world, the best two underrated Disney boys.

I think Meredith became what she feared to become she feared that her prettiness would override her intelligence & talent and thus people won’t take her seriously. That is exactly what she becomes, she doesn’t gain a serious acting career rather she stars in a show that majorly focuses on her beauty rather than her talent as an actor, even when Oliver is in prison he gains respect from the other inmates bc he was once connected to her but the aspect that they respect of their relationship is that she is beautiful not her work. I think this is b/c Meredith relied more on her beauty than her talent, she was more confident in her ability to put ppl in a trance bc of her beauty and always had that as her fall back. If I’m being honest I don’t think she deserved better, she forces Oliver into a relationship when he just wanted to be a good friend & make sure she was alright (yes he did agree) but nevertheless she didn’t pursue Oliver out of love or necessity she pursued him to get revenge on Richard and avoid the loneliness and the terrible feelings she had also she is extremely selfish, she didn’t sympathize with Oliver and allow him to understand his feelings.
