Dropout is back in production. 🫡

As I mentioned, Dropout is not associated with the AMPTP, who negotiates on behalf of the majority of studios and streamers. But truthfully, there's no such thing as a "struck company." There are instead "struck contracts" -- and not-struck contracts.

We assumed Dropout's contract - the New Media Agreement for Non-Dramatic Programming - was stuck because it wasn't specifically on a list of non-struck contracts. After speaking at length with our lawyers and with SAG, turns out that is not the case.

So, Dropout can return to business as usual. And because none of our shows were ever struck, talent can go back to promoting their Dropout appearances. 🎉

SAG's decisions are in part strategic. Small streamers like us continuing to work while the major streamers cannot gives us a competitive advantage and puts more pressure on them to make a deal. 😎

But make no mistake about it: We continue to support our striking performers and their cause.

- Between Dropout and me personally, we have donated $20,000 to the Entertainment Community Fund.

- If anyone doesn't feel comfortable working with us or promoting their work during the strike for whatever reason, we respect their decision.

- While we already pay above minimums, we will continue to go above and beyond to reward and protect our performers *and* crew members, and plan to put even more of our money where our mouth is before the end of the year.

Dropout fans, thank you for your support and solidarity during this uncertain time. Keep supporting the Entertainment Community Fund, as well as the pet projects of your favorite creators.

So far both of the comments on this state that FCG is an Aeormaton (Exandria’s version of Warforged.) I honestly hadn’t heard that but it’s great! Thanks to both of you for pointing it out. It also doesn’t make it that they couldn’t have been organic creatures first, so I’m gonna continue playing in this space.

Critical Role campaign 3 theory, some spoilers ahead

I have been saying since the beginning of this campaign that I think FCG was at some point an organic being. My main inkling towards this is that Matt has said there are not warforged in Exandria. I will state that even in this tweet thread he gives caveats. But! In last nights ep (c3e17) the description of buildup of energy inside of FCG plus the description of them being very old by Milo gives me cause to believe there is something more there than just Dancer building the group.

Now it’s more of personal opinions time: I think that they all used to be an adventuring party. And somehow, Dancer got everyone else killed. FCG has a soul from another creature that got put into an automaton as a form of regeneration but when his memory was not there, Dancer renamed them as a way to mourn for the original soul rather than keep calling him by her passed friend’s name.

As someone who is slightly colorblind, this is so strange to me. Because my brain sees red too strongly and green not strong enough. So to me, blue yellow and green are the best colors, soothing to the eyes. Purple and orange are okay but only in small portions. Red? I could go the rest of my life without seeing the color red and be so much happier. It is such an aggressive color and it hurts to look at. There’s a reason that red is the color associated with strong emotions like hatred and love.
