Hello, I wanted to share my little experience.
Actually, I am still kind of trying to figure out myself. I always knew that I am disgusted by sex. I have never been interested in sex during classes/sex ed. I felt very embarrassed when people were talking about sex, nudity, like I didn't want to take part of the conversation. (I am from a conservative family, maybe that's why)
I had "crushes", but I recently realised that my "crushes" were not like the others. I was seeking for romance, the idea of holding hands and kissing cheeks. Not for having sex. I have never been sexually attracted to someone. I have never been turned on by someone. I have asked my male friends if they have already been turned on by someone, even if they don't know them.
One of them replied that "this is just a feeling I can'texplain, like an impulse." The other one said that "this is what people can feel. I have been sexually attracted by someone I dislike."
That's made me think, I have never thought like that. I have never looked at someone and thought "wow, i want them in my bed."
Whn I have met my boyfriend, we were just friends in the same classes, partners for projects. We kinda start dating after months of seeing each other. He was interested in me, I was just thinking that he was cute, maybe I could give it a try. I remember the feeling I had when we first hold hands. And more naturally, I thought "this guy looks so huggable".
We continue hanging out together. I had my first kiss, and it was very weird. At first, I didn't know if I like it or not, if I like someone's lips on mine. But I knew that I love him.
We have been dating for almost three years now, and I kinda started to feel sexually attracted by him.
may be demisexual ? idk

demisexuality is being attracted to someone after forming a bond. What kind of bond ? I mean, is it like a friendship or when you've got emotionally connected to them ?

why is heterosexuality the "norm" when maybe the first couple was a gay one/lesbian one or other ?
in History, many people were poly too, why is it taboo now ?
