Vii made clothes with different colors because he was inspired by a YouTube video that theorized how aliens would look like without any connection to the color green.

(Ben 10.000 It only transformed into Spitter for a few seconds and then changed, so a combat suit wouldn't be necessary. )

like Atma who already answers for both genders in the first chapter

or Nullo who more recently showed to be non-binary

and Helyha who had a hint be trans in the first quick short and in the context of all aliens with the omnitrix symbol are male for lore reasons.

(some because Hyra won't let me talk about spoilers... annoying!)
