I actually shyly introduced Imani (my oc based on Iago) a while back (here) when i first started this account. Anyways, kudos to my friend @falsegodsprophecy for the idea for Jamil and Imani’s first meeting! It’s kinda inspired by the scene from Aladdin where Jasmin went to the marketplace by herself. But instead, Imani got upset at seeing a fellow parrot trapped in a cage. With jamil saving Imani from legal trouble, he places her in his debt. So while he’s away at NRC, she’s been helping out at Kalim’s home. Over time, I see them growing closer to the point where they both feel like they can be vulnerable with each other. On days where Jamil is very busy and needs to focus on work, Imani will use the skills she picked up to take care of bothersome chores. Jamil has also gathered a collection of treasure that Imani has brought back from her occasional adventures (she loves exploring old ruins). With the growing pile, Kalim has offered Jamil to store his collection in a spare room.

Redraw of my LADs MC - Ei Katsura (桂映)

Wanna make her a proper profile later once i find a good template. For voices, I think Ueda Kana (Reverse 1999’s Melania or Genshin’s Yoimiya?) would be good for her playful personality. She’s a proficient sword user and ends her fights swiftly before wanderers can even process what happened to them. In her universe, something went wrong during it’s creation. That’s why compared to the MC we’re all familiar with, she’s a bit of a girlfailure (is that the term?). Her evol allows her to move at high speed while maintaining sharp precision on her targets. Using this ability too much wears her out, so her work hours as a bounty hunter is limited to roughly an hour a day.

She failed the hunter exam and got the lowest grade because she got bored and drew all over the page. It was a page full of poorly drawn Caleb doodles. Her signature plush is a squirrel. Ei keeps on a carefree mask, but deep down is terrified that Josephine and Caleb would be disappointed in her. With her gran’s life nearing its end, she struggles between fessing up about failing her exams and lying to please her sole primary caretaker. Although deeply in love with Caleb, she envies his natural ability to be liked by others.

Ei’s motto is “work smart not hard”. She’ll open up her shop for about 3 hours before closing again to go on a short hunting spree. Then, it’s time to spend her “hard earned” money on whatever she feels like! The best part of the day is when it’s home time. It’s usually a race between her vs Caleb to see who can arrive home first. Loser makes dinner (still Caleb even if he does arrive first).

I’ve had this idea for a TWST fanfic for several months with Leona and my OC and was super excited to write it…and then not even close to halfway in all my motivation just vanished!! Like this sucks, I had so many cool ideas I wanted to explore but nope, all gone now （ ; ; ）

Like I think there was some cool ideas or concepts that could be fun to explore. I wanted to let Leona have a softer side and be with people who cared about him and made him happy! And then there’s my OC who I wanted to explore her desire to find a place where she belonged…and maybe her resentment to her countrymen for treating her like an outsider. I thought I’d be cool to also incorporate some Chinese culture (it’s not a story based around Mulan unfortunately) but I guess the creativity just shrivelled up and drifted away like a brambleghast.

Ei teases Rafayel who always insists on going first on the claw machine

Calls him “goldfishie”whenever he gets mad because of how he puffs up his cheeks and becomes red

Caleb has to let her cheat during kitty cards. He can’t even pretend to not notice it…

Has her own heavily decorated room in Caleb’s apartment in Skyhaven.

There is a shelf just full of sunny apple plushies

loves karaoke

likes freezing her fruits. She’ll put grapes, strawberries and raspberries in the freezer to snack on later

When she’s craving cookies, she’ll make the cutest face that she can to beg Caleb for cookies

Ei’s definitely a sleep talker. She’ll say the most random things in her sleep. She once yelled at Caleb in her sleep, but when he confronted her about it she looked confused. To this day, nobody knows what he did in her dream to upset her. Not even Ei herself.

As children, she once got mad at Caleb for blowing out the candles on her birthday cake. As retaliation, she only played with her neighbour Zayne for an entire week. It was unbearable for Caleb.

In her universe, Ever was arrested early on way before Ei was supposed to take the Hunter Exam - so the house never exploded

Instead: rain pours down fine shards of glass containing memories from other worlds. Ei likes collecting these memories

It didn’t make sense to Caleb, one day when MC showed up, he felt something was different about her. Aside from a softer voice that echoed after her own words, he could see someone else behind her

It was like the MC he always knew wasn’t who he thought she was

Was she just a character? A mere creation meant to serve a greater purpose that he couldn’t understand?

For the next few days, Caleb focused on her…or whatever was controlling her actions. From the way he was touched, to the responses, the emojis sent and the quality time spent “together”…

At first, he felt unsettled. Was this entire life a lie? Was all of his suffering manufactured by some greater being for the sake of pleasure? And why did they try to tear him and his beloved apart? Who was behind all of this?

But at the same time, he found himself growing more curious about the one controlling his MC, the one who created his beloved Venus.

As if given the blessing by some cruel master of fate, the next time he received a visit, he was finally able to defy his “programming”.

“Can you hear me?”

The entity behind the “character” that he once thought was “you” paused in utter shock. It took for a moment for the unclear individual to nod.

Caleb’s eyes noticed some text forming in front of where he stood. Although it was mirrored, he recognised the characters were in english. Was he being translated in real time? Does this mean…you can’t understand him?

Was this voice even his? He wondered if he had other voices too. Why did he have this voice? Did you not like his other voices? Is this the sort of voice you liked? He wondered.

Caleb was hurt. So there was another barrier between the two of you. A physical, digital barrier and a language barrier too. At least the two of you could somehow understand each other…

While “studying” he realised what he was reading and writing was incomprehensible. Still, you needed company and wasn’t going to let anyone take his place.

Caleb could see you scribbling some stuff down on a note taking app. The falsely implanted memories of “you” studying together flooded his mind. He was happy to help you then and was still willing to help you now…even if he had no idea what you were doing.

Caleb scoffs when you start spacing out instead of working. He could hear you complaining about how the reading was boring and made no sense. He immediately wished he could leave the screen and read it over and explain it to you.

“Why not split the reading up? Take breaks in between if you need to.” He suggested. The new line was unfamiliar, but helpful

Felt warm inside when you praised him while playing the claw machine together. He got you another Sunny Apple that you needed to unlock more variants

When you played Kitty Cards together, he would sometimes let you win so he could see your smile.

Wanted to still be there for you during the best and worst of times. He disregarded the cool down on the chatting feature, as well as the topics. Until you were done pouring your heart out, he listened intently to every word you said.

Over time, Caleb started to care for you like he did to your MC. You may have not been the same person, but he would be lying to himself if he said you didn’t matter to him.

Was it time to reveal that he’s aware of your existence? Caleb really wanted to get to know the real you.

When Caleb discovered you were pregnant, he was thrilled. Yes, he knew before you told him, but unsurprisingly, he knows you better than anybody (he’s been diligently tracking your menstrual cycle when when you begin ovulating for years).

When you gathered up the courage to tell him and show him two positive pregnancy tests, and scooped you up in his arms like a princess, kissing his beautiful girl senseless.

Caleb will do anything and absolutely everything to make your pregnancy as easy and comfortable as possible. He’d rush out at three in the morning to satisfy your pregnancy cravings, rub your swollen feet and calves in your later pregnancy. The colonel would even press his face into your pregnant belly, feeling the little one kick. Caleb is ecstatic.

He’s prepared with a hospital bag as soon as you go into labor, and safe to say, he was nervous. He’d hold your hand through your child’s birth, kissing your forehead and wiping away sweat from your body. Caleb will whisper words of love and encourage—it’s heartbreaking to see his pipsqueak in pain. He’ll stick up for you and defend your requests to pushy or overbearing nurses and doctors; your husband won’t let ‘hospital policy’ ruin your birth experience.

You give birth to a tiny, healthy baby girl—and Caleb feels a new type of love rush through his body—for their baby. A tiny, perfect being that is a result of your unwavering love.

Caleb would carefully drive you and your tiny infant home, and did everything possible to ease your burden and take care of your child. Late night feedings, comforting your baby while you get some much needed sleep, cleaning and cooking while you rest and heal.

At night, he’d cradle his daughter, his Little Apple, brushing his thumb against her soft, chubby little cheek. She was perfect, from her tiny feet to the sleeping pout on her lips. Your baby has your eyes and his nose and hair—she’s beautiful. And Caleb adores her fresh baby smell. Neither of you can get enough of it.

Your little family is utterly perfect.

Caleb as a Reverse 1999 Arcanist!

I only drew the chibi(ish) form while trying to stay faithful to the artstyle. Hopefully someday I can master the Reverse 1999 art style and draw a full art for Caleb! Farspace Colonel Caleb would definitely be his I2. I also came up with some skills (playstyle is a mix of Isolde and Lucy) and I’m thinking he can be Spirit Afflatus? His udimo is definitely a dog.
