Man with no experience finds writing difficult!

So about 5 days ago I started writing a novel if I can call it that. As a Lyricist used to writing songs and poems, this might be the hardest thing I've ever done creatively. It's taken me almost a week to write 3k words and I'm constantly tweaking them. Dialogue is hard and making the characters feel different from each other in a subtle manner for an opening is an art I swear. I'm not complaining honestly, it's super rewarding to look back and say wow I'm actually working on this project. God knows if this thing will ever be finished or ever see the light of day, but I'm having fun.
