Is it weird to wish werewolves were more fucked up?

Like, I kind of get why they are the way they are, but like...c'mon, you were cursed to turn into a ravenous bloodthirsty beast and the best you can do is a plain old transformation? Just growing some claws and hair and a toothy snout?

Nah, rip your human skin off when you transform. Claw your way out of your own meat bag. Become a horror for yourself and the people around you. Don't half ass it and make the personal horror "Oh no what if I hurt people", nah make the very act of turning into a werewolf something so deeply agonizing and horrifying that the person cursed can't even bring themselves to care about all the people hurt in the proceeding rampage when they come back to. Or better yet, bloodborne it. Once you're a werewolf, that's it. You've got till the full moon to find a cure or you're never going back to being human.

Why do you ask?

The most important question you can ask as an author or writer is "why". If you're trying to write a consistent, internally logical world, never hesitate to try and poke holes in motivations, actions, or world building.

If you can't answer why a character wants a goal, or why they did a certain thing, then you should reassess them, and see if that's actually want they want, or if that's really what they would do.

I love mental health care being locked behind money

I love knowing there's something inherently wrong with how my brain works, but not being able to prove it.

I love having a therapist tell me they'd love to get me diagnosed, only to not have the funds for the test.
