KOMBUCHA💚 _ As a Christmas gift, I received a Groupon for a Kombucha kit from @getkombucha. _ What you see in the picture is my completed kombucha in individual jars combined with fruit. I'm doing a second round of fermentation to get various fruity flavors. Hopefully it goes well. 😌 _ For those who may not know, KOMBUCHA is a fermented, probiotic drink. It is made up of.... ▪️Black or Green Tea ▪️Sugar ▪️SCOBY(symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast) ▪️And Fruit (if you decide to do a second ferment to add fruit flavor) _ Basically, you combine the first 3 ingredients above and leave it on your counter until it ferments. Of course, there is specific way to do it but I just gave the basic idea on how it works. After you get it to your liking, you end up with a bubbly probiotic drink. _ Now, I'm not an expert AT ALL. I'm still learning how to get the hang of this but I thought you all might like to see my progress. Also, @getkombucha makes it very easy to do this at home. My starter kit came with everything I needed except a brewing container, but you can get a kit that has a container on their website.
