Shout-out to when a kid asked why I had scars across my thighs and I told her that I'd fought a bad dragon some time ago, but then she started asking more questions and getting really curious about how I got to fight a dragon so I had to make up a whole story about how I was teleported to a magic world which I was meant to save whenever I went to sleep and how dragons wanted to eat my people so I had to battle against them.

And shout-out to when another kid asked about my scars and I told her that I'd fought a tiger and won.

Next time I'm put in a similar situation, I'll say that a zebra bit me and that's why it's important to respect animals at the zoo.

And she's right.

Due to Striped'Claw's intermittent/ nearly non-existent training methods, Thyme'Paw usually had to go out of his way to get extra training. He wanted to learn what he wasn't being taught.

So he asked his littermates for help! He would ask them to share what they'd learned on their training sessions and try to understand what they'd been taught by watching and copying them. Sometimes, they'd straight up do secondary training sessions, apprentices to apprentice.

Thyme'Paw's determination to train one way or another did impress Striped'Claw. She could tell his heart was in his training — and he would have made a better warrior, had her heart been in his training, too.

She never expressed this out loud, but she was thankful to Thyme'Paw's littermates for helping the apprentice she never properly trained become a warrior. I would write more, but I'm kinda drowsy.
