My friends and I were playing deltarune together last night.

I had already finished chapter 4 on my own but for most of them it was their first time playing or they finished chapter 1 in 2018 and never played again. Point is that none of them are good at the game or know about all of the secrets like I do.

So, I was controlling Kris 99% of the time but whenever I’d need to walk away one of them would grab the controller and try and walk back as far as they could to the beginning.

And like….I feel so bad for Kris. Imagine not only having one entity control you and take over your life, but now SIX. You’ve got six of these voices in your head and none of them are your own but they’re making ALL of your choices for you.

You ever think that Piper knew who Jason was before they met?

She grew up in the industry, so there must have been mentions of Beryl one way or another. So when another big name actor also has a kid and it’s unspecified who the other parent is, people are going to draw connections.

Piper probably heard jokes about “well good thing your dad didn’t get rid of you,” or something of the sort by older celebrate, who probably don’t understand how traumatic that would be to hear as a child. And of course she asks about it.

Percy was shorter than Clarisse until after HoO so when he got back to camp she had to do a double take before tackling and pinning him to the ground. She finally let him go after Annabeth forced her to, but he was on the ground for a full two minutes.

What's really evocative to me in all the new revelations and hints about Kris' true nature and intentions in Chapter 4 is the impression that... Kris is never free.

When they are free of our direct control, they are still not acting 100% of their real desires, they are following the orders of some evil Voice(s?) on the phone.

The ending seem to imply some sort of emotional conflict between them wanting to help out Susie, who is very dear to their heart, and following this plan which is probably not beneficial to her. A plan that they have to follow cause...

When Kris is not controlled by our very literal puppet-strings, they are instead controlled by the coercion and emotional manipulation of their mysterious benefactor. No matter which option they go with, Kris just cannot be free.
