Megalosaurus (1850s) and Megalosaurus (modern) polymer clay sculptures

The Megalosaurus was the first dinosaur to ever be named, we’ve known about it almost as long as paleontology has existed. Despite this, however, it is still quite poorly known with how few fossils of it that have been found. Both reconstructions are based heavily around educated guesses, though with about seven more decades worth of research under their belt, modern paleontologists have a much better idea of Megalosaurus’ stance and size.

I made these as homework. For a writing class. I’m glad I didn’t have to give them to my professor, I became very endeared to them in the process of creating them. My Crystal Pal <3

Hercules Beetle Plushes! The cyan one is a prototype, green one is the final! I am planing on selling some of these next summer along with the anomolocaris.

I’m very happy with how these guys turned out. I sized them specifically so you could hold them like burger. They also have weighted beads in the body.

I’m planning on trying to sell some of these guys once I get out of school for the summer, so I’m working on the patterns for them. I’ll probably go with the head of the middle one, but the body and tail of the right one.

Plush #7: Zoe the Anomalacaris!

I did skip #6 because I’m numbering them in the order I made them, not the order I’m posting them. I wasn’t very happy with how the last one turned out, but I will probably still post it at some point.

Anyways rip Anomalacaris, you were too good for this world. I did this one beanie baby style so the whole body is just filled with weighted beads.

Obviously it’s this isn’t super scientifically accurate for many reasons, but I wanted to simplify it as much as I could while still coming across as an Anomalacaris.

Plush #5: Don Wada from Taiko no Tatsujin

I was originally gonna make Katsu Wada too, but this guy was surprisingly time consuming to make for being pretty simple, so I just have Don for now.

I didn’t realize that fleece had a right side so all his legs have the wrong side of the fabric showing. Whoops.

Heavy rains recently bent the milkweed plants I normally photograph my plushes in front of over :(

Hi, uhm is it rude to ask for the pattern of the sissel kitty plush?

My main issue with making my patterns public at the moment is that I’m still very new to pattern making and plush making in general (I started literally a month ago) so my patterns aren’t the best.

Sissel’s ears in particular had to be adjusted after the fact. There are also pieces like the eyes and whiskers that I made up on the fly and would not be included in the pattern.

That being said, I might just release the pattern for free with fair warning that it’s a bit janky. I’ll also write some instructions for parts that aren’t included in the pattern itself if more people are interested. Please do let me know if you are!
