Good Witch, Bad Witch
I recently got a book that had a page in it that has a section called 'What Makes You a Witch' and I wanted to speak on what makes a good witch and a bad witch.
The truth is there is no rules to witchcraft, however it is vastly agreed upon that as long as you don't harm those who don't deserve it you may do as you please.
The piece I read said that a witch is not proud or selfish; but I disagree. You're allowed to be proud and selfish so long as it doesn't harm anyone. There are individuals who do hold bigoted beliefs and cause harm to those who have done nothing wrong, but they are usually chastised by the broader community.
You do not need to surround yourself with others who claim the title of 'witch'. The most important thing is to be kind to the world you live in.
Actions have consequences, if you were to throw a pebble in a pond the ripples would go on for a long while. It is best to think before you act, but do what you must to protect yourself and mother nature.

Tarot Readings... Maybe???
TL;DR: Thinking of doing tarot readings cheap, let me know what you think.
I'm not sure if people still do this kind of thing on Tumblr but I was thinking about potentially doing some tarot readings for people.
I was thinking of charging a small donation, like a minimum of £1.00 a reading. I just want to put some feelers out at the moment and see what people think of that.
I've been reading tarot for over a decade now, it's my favourite kind of divination. I have done it before for like £5.00 a reading before in person.
Let me know what you think :D

Tarot: Understanding Your Deck
Connect With Your Deck The best way to connect with your deck is to sleep with it either beside you, or under your pillow. This will allow your energies to get used to each other. If possible, you should take your tarot deck around with you.
Visual Bonding This may be difficult for some, as it can be time consuming, but it can be beneficial to sit with each card, take note of what the symbols within the card represent. This can further promote a bond between you and your deck.
Interview Spreads A great way to really understand the personality of your deck is to ask your deck questions. Questions can include; What is your favourite card? What card do you feel represents you/me best?. I personally feel like one of the best questions to ask is 'Do you want me to count fallen cards into the reading?' As many tarot readers do feel like if a card falls out the deck, it counts to the reading where as others don't, I believe it depends on the personality of the specific deck you're working with.
Meditation Sitting with the deck and allowing yourself to meditate with it can be a really important part of tarot reading as it allows you to feel more secure in your relationship with the deck. It can open up your intuition with the deck and improve your relationship.
Readings Tip - Watch out for patterns within your readings! Reoccurring cards, numbers and symbols may be trying to reach out to you!

Yule Tidings!
Yule is the shortest day of the year and is also known as Winter Solstice!
Solstice derives from 'Sol' meaning 'sun' and 'Sistere' meaning 'to stand.' Winter Solstice means 'Day the sun stands still'.
In Celtic tradition Yule is a time to rest, spend time with our loved ones and feast on the previous years fortune.
There is a story of two kings who fight twice a year; they are The Oak King and The Holly King. Through out the summer The Holly King rules and as life begins to diminish, and light fades away.
In Ostara (Autumn Equinox) The Oak King is reborn and waits patiently to gain strength for the inevitable fight that comes his way. The mighty battle takes place Winter Solstice, under a new moon.
Every winter, the Oak King wins and rules over the kingdoms, making days brighter and bringing the world back to life.

Tales of Gotham
There are many stories from my city and the neighbouring towns that can be quite comical. One of these towns is known for having very stupid people in it. The reason behind this is that during the reign of King John, he was meant to pass through Gotham on his way to Nottingham but the towns people did not want this to happen; and so they made themselves seem incredibly stupid when his scouts checked the route.
Through this many tales came about the place and I wanted to share one in particular that made me giggle.
The Men of Gotham and The Cuckoo
The men of Gotham noticed that whenever a cuckoo came to town, Summer would be right behind it. They decided that when the cuckoo would next visit, they would trap the bird in hopes that the summer would stay with the bird.
Once the cuckoo came the men got to work, building a fence around the tree in which the cuckoo sat. The men of Gotham were extremely proud of themselves until the day came that the cuckoo flew over the fence and left the village.
The men kicked themselves, promising that the following year they will build the fence high enough so the bird cannot escape.
