My Opinion:

Okay where do I even begin? A Forest Of Vanity And Valour is a dark fantasy reimagining of Robin Hood, but it feels more like a wannabe version. It's fast, hectic, and tries so desperately to be edgy - it isn't.

I stopped reading about in the middle because the two male narrators are so mysognistic and full of sexual tension, it was difficult to focus on anything else.

SPOILERS: Also, the "good" guy was so unthankful and unfair to his best friends who still followed him after he ruined their lives that I just wanted to punch him. Also, he was so busy crying for himself that he never cared about the feelings and thoughts of those around him.

But I have to give credit here - I like the idea and the concept. I liked the way it could have been if it weren't for the points above. I also have to mention that A Forest Of Vanity And Valour is A.P. Beswick first book. So I hope he learned something and maybe I can revisit this book and the following because like I said I like the concept about a dark retelling of all these tales and legends.
