I am Valerie, I am a trans lesbian from London and I just moved to Norway from the UK, I am a video, image and sound artist + DJ, I am also a writer!

I've just moved to Norway, I'm looking for a job here, making art with beautiful people, it is just hard and expensive despite being the most amazing place ever!!!!

I'm leaving London because it is increasingly hostile to people like me in a really scary way and being there slowly kills me, but leaving London also entails leaving that sickly stability, so I need a bit of help.

updated because I said something wrong, my stepdad is not going to be killed by the medicaid cuts specifically, he is going to be killed because he doesn't "qualify" for disability despite being very disabled and he is getting his insurance taken away in July, and we need to get out before that or he will die because he is diabetic and has extreme chronic pain

We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted people of Tumblr to help lift up a passionate, determined young artist: J-la, my daughter and an 18-year-old undergraduate who has always seen the world a little more vividly than most.

J-la was recently accepted into Studio Incamminati, one of the most respected art schools in the country, located in Philadelphia. And I am very proud of her.

Tuition is $5,600, and she’s doing everything she can to make it work by working two jobs. She is young, and I was never fortunate to give her a lot of things children needed or wanted. Now, I feel like I can do that. That’s where your kindness comes in.

I fucking hate doing this but I’m out of options. I am desperately seeking more hours and a second job but to no avail. moving wiped out nearly all my savings and a clerical error has lead to U-Haul holding all my belongings hostage for over a month. my current income only covers half the cost of living and that’s assuming my gf and I can cover 100% of our groceries with EBT and that we never spend on anything but rent and car payments. it’s so fucking dire. I don’t even have any belts and my pants are constantly falling down. U-Haul fucking robbed me. I just want my shit back.

hello all, i am a severely disabled intersex trans person who is developing crohn's disease, and deals with other health issues like schizophrenia, degenerative disc disease, and hypermobile ehler's danlos syndrome. tomorrow (6/6/25) is my birthday! i am currently saving up money to pay my phone bill to make sure i don't run out of service, and i have upcoming power & internet bills to pay for. i never really do anything to celebrate my birthday because i can't afford it- i don't plan on doing so this year, either, but i would like is to be able to reduce stress on my birthday if possible by being able to pay these bills on time, especially my phone bill (which is $15), which runs out of service on 6/6. if you're interested in helping me, you can do so in the following ways:
