Warning: Chapter 5 is very angsty. It’s a real tearjerker. The rest of it is cute fluff.

A "what if" fic of the "what if that particular character finally snaps under all the sh€&t they have to endur"
Elaborate in the tags, maybe even link your fic if you're able to! I like seeing what people's driving force to write fic is, because it always seems to be different depending on who you ask.

Clara with Twelth is like "f#@k me and my mental health" and whatever way you chose to interpret this sentence, it holds true
Clara's great because before her every companion since Rose was like "Being with the Doctor made me a better person", but Clara is like "Nah, it made me so much worse" while the Doctor stares at her affectionately.

YES, we starve out there
"i don't comment on ao3 because i don't wanna be annoying or weird" skill issue + you greatly underestimate the power dynamic here, writing multi paragraph comments is like feeding a bunch of deeply insane and possibly starved ducks at the park and watch them go completely mad over having received a piece of bread

Polish dubbers of Rebels knew what they were doing
In the episode right after Kanan's death, at the specific moment of Ezra doing his little "ene due ..." all is fine, except, in Polish, God dammit, how did I miss it the first time viewing it?
In Polish he says
Boga banta z lothal szczur, Inkwizytor teee...n był gbur
Which roughly translatates to "Boga, banta, lothal's rat, Inquisitor was a burly". Except the way the VA stretches the eee sound, which sounds like he is about to say Polish ę sound and does it long enough to fill it yourself. And many people, me included, would fill it in with
"t ę p y c h u j"
Except it would translate to "Inqusitor is a du#b d)ck".
This is stupid observation or my humor is broken, but it rhymes and I can't help but wonder if it was intentionall nag towards adult audience.

The most fundamentall trait of our protagonist

There is this trait that Marinette exhibits that is crucial to understanding her acions and attitude. I'm not saying noone sees it, actually many people comment around that and probably noone will say they didn't see it, but I can't recall anyone calling it by it's name.
She is an overachiever

And I think it's actually her most important trait, more important than her relationship with Adrien or more recently, her stress of juggling her double life as superhero's leader or her insistence on lying to the world.
She is an overachiever. A kind of person that can't accept taking things easy and not putting maximum possible effort into anything she ever invests. Go big or go home is her attitude. If she imagines something, she will put maximum effort into it.
This ties to, quite literally, everything she engages in.
Her relationship with Adrien? She can't confess for five seasons because she can't accept the though of doing it imperfectly, at the same time can't let it go, because she can't accept the feeling of failure, of giving up.
Her gaming skills? She has to win anytime she plays anything to a point she rarely has the ability to actually enjoy the game.
She has dozens different hobbies and passions, because anything that catches her interest has to be explored to the very end.
Any event she organizes has to be perfect.
Just as she has to be perfect superhero with perfect superhero team has to work perfectly. Thats a defining trait of hers. Is there anything that can't be traced to her need to put everything into it? I don't actually think so.
A person like that will never turn off and relax until someone else points she did everything she could. A person like that won't ever let go of anything. She chose to keep Adrien happy? She will do anything in her power to keep him from ever confronting any negative reality. She forms a superhero team? She does anything in her power for things to run smothly. She is Adrien's girlfriend? She won't miss on any possible way to be perfect for him, give it making sure his friends like her or that he never sees anything wrong with her.
I don't know about you, but for me it's a perfect combination of "relatable" with "personal fantasy". I, as probably many people around, would like to always make sure I did everything in my power to make sure things are how I imagined them. That need it relatable. But it's also a fantasy, because she does it all, while I fumble, put away and procrastinate so much. That's why I, and I believe it will resonate with many people, found her compelling.
But the story also, especially in newer seasons, as much complaining as we can give them, presents the dangers of that attitude really well. It presents how always prioritizing the end goal can make us ignore basic social norms and moral compass, just as how much anxiety this attitude can give us.
That's the fundamentall, core trait of hers. Not her romantic interest, not her creativness, not her clumsiness. Her overachieving nature is the defining trait. And I like how season 6 leans towards it.

You know how we are able to make sense out of the world with maths by defining numbers, values and then making formula that predicts what happens?
I personally view storytelling as a math of the concepts that can't be represented with numbers. If we could, we would put a number on love, hate, anger, fear, desire and such and just make formulas to predict perfectly what happens next. But we can't. Yet we still see patterns in relation to those.
That's what stories are. Your defined characters are sets of variables, you set the scene, which is an equivalent of mathematical operation and get a formula, which should tell you the effects of the set up. That's why when some writers make a story and it feels off, uneaerned, unrealistic (even in completly fantasy settings) we tend to get the idea that it was written wrong way. Because the writer could set up great variables but then they didn't solve the formula properly, so it gave the wrong results.
And by reading these formulas we form an idea of how things operate in the world. We learn that hate leads to suffering, love conquers all, being kind pays off and there are villains in this world to defeat. We won't learn how to conquer dragons, but we might get the idea that every problem can be tackled. We might not find the princess, but we learn that it's worth fighting for love.
But if we are constantly, espeially if it happens when we are still young and unexperienced, exposed to wrongly formulated formulas, we might grow to believe that they are right. And when inevatibly they get disproven, we can either find the right one or delude ourselfes that they do not disprove the wrong formula.

Cool analysis.
I would add my on observation which is how Adrien seemed to truly enjoy being Chat Noir. His dialog lines sugests he views superheroing as his passion. And it also datę back to season 4 where Adrien also stated that he would love to have being superhero as his future career.
I think running might be just the start and Adrien could go into more and more different phisical activities. He might run marathons, train marian arts, go to the gym with Kim, all to become the best superhero.
And if we want to theorize even futher, what would you think about Adrien going into some Police force. If fighting bad guys is his core passion, then why limit yourself with only the akumas.
From day one, there have been multiple theories and interpretations about what Adrien’s future career path and passions would be as we all wanted to see this boy be able to choose and discover something for himself rather than the dozens of activities his father was making him do. I believe the most popular theories in the fandom were Adrien becoming a baker or a stay-at-home dad. I think the popularity of these theories arose due to Adrien being good with kids and showing a fondness towards Marinette’s family and their bakery in early seasons. Furthermore, as Miraculous is built on subverting gender roles, and Adrien’s characterisation is more traditionally feminine with the narrative I guess we were building on that (and men taking on more domestic roles seems to be loved in fandom spaces in general).
However, I hadn’t quite seen running as a potential career choice for Adrien and most of us wouldn’t expect it either.
I, for one, didn’t expect it but I am not disappointed and I think it makes a great lot of sense for his character for three reasons.
Reason #1
As much as I love baker and stay-at-home dad Adrien aus, I’m glad that canon chose not to take that route in this episode. I think that choice would be more detrimental to his character rather than beneficial in our canon narrative.

As Thomas commented, so much of his character already revolves around Marinette considering that he’s pretty much all he has left and feels the most comfortable around her right now. (Even before his father’s death, his sense of identity seemed to revolve around her a lot as we saw him expressing that his love for her was the only thing he was sure of in S5. I think it’s because he’s been deprived of autonomy so much that he seems to be used to basing his desires around other people’s).
That’s why I believe him going into baking or being a stay-at-home dad at the future would not really help him grow as a character as both those choices still keep him under Marinette’s wing.

As this episode established, Adrien needs to figure and explore his passions for himself. Whilst Marinette will always be there for him, he needs to understand what he wants by his own volition.

(Having him make a breakthrough in discovering his interest for running without Marinette at the end of this episode was a great start!) Reason #2

I thought it was interesting how they started this sequence with Adrien looking up sadly at his big and lonely house before running away from it.
It takes me to what Sublime asks him later on.

This is what Adrien has wanted from Season 1: to run away and escape the four corners of his house to explore the outside world. It feels like a callback to Origins where I think of Adrien running away from house to start school. There’s also several times in the show where he runs away to escape the cold and lonely atmosphere his house brings.
The bars on the gate of the house in this scene also makes it look so much like a prison.
Of course, we now have Adrien standing on the outside of it rather than inside considering that the person who was keeping him in the house in the first place is dead.
It still doesn’t mean that Adrien thinks of the house as less of a prison. An association like that is hard to forget especially now that the house is where both his parents died.
But now, without Gabriel, we know he’s free to run from it for as long as he wants.
I also want to add that in Hinduism, running is considered as a physical response to escape distress.
Reason #3
Should someone’s passion really be built on running away from something else? Well no. But I don’t think we’re meant to see it that way. Adrien running at the end of this episode away from his house is meant to symbolise him finally breaking free from the Gabriel’s controlling influence. Him running away is mainly a step towards his growth.
Besides, running isn’t only seen as means to escape problems but it also signifies pursuit of a goal and taking on a spiritual journey for self-growth. (Dream analysis tends to associate both escapism and pursuit to running in dreams depending on the context and circumstance). This also fits Adrien’s character quite well. Not only is he escaping past trauma, but he’s taking on a new journey to explore what he wants in life.

So yeah, let the boy run!
I’m super excited to see where they take his characterisation with this one. The symbolism behind his potential passion/career choice is just gorgeous.

Valid and understandable reason to be the villain
Crack fic where the butterfly miraculous is found by a random university student that went to study in Paris because it cost almost nothing to live and study there (thanks to all the super villains). Now that Monarch is defeated, though, the rent and university fees start to skyrocket, it is Paris after all, so they start akumatizing people to keep their expenses low. Basically using the super villains as rent lowering gunshots.

Did only I notice this about SabEzra?
(thats my favourite little scene of these two ❤️)
Ezra can be skilled Jedi. Even before season 3 "glow up" he could pull off so many hard flings. With his hole team on his side he seems to be helpfull padawan, focused on the task and protecting his friends with a grain of need of proving himself. Then there is a time he gets teamed up with Commander Sato and almost single handently pulls of all to be pulled off (I know Kanan and Rex were also sent there but come on, Ezra had everything under control on his own).
Preety much the same when he has mission individually with anyone else, Kanan, Hera, Rex, Kallus, Zeb.
And the he gets paired with Sabine
He get's so much "dumbass energy" activated, the "don't know what I'm doing but swinging my sword worked so far". And poor Sabine has to work with that.
It's either the reminesce of his crush, he is distracted and inattentive because "the girl of my dreams is looking", or it's an effect of noone significantly older being around that makes him let louse. I just know there had to be a moment Sabine complained about it.

Han going Big Brother mode over Luke is a plot that I want to see on it's own
I'm thinking about a Bail Organa lives fic and it is going to have the appropriate amount of pain, angst, hurt/comfort, and family love. But there is one interaction that I hope will be as amusing as it is in my head.
Han Solo: Look I know you'd rather Leia be with someone like Luke.
Bail Organa(suddenly freaking out because he forgot to mention a certain little fact): No. No. I would not want Leia to be with Luke. Never Luke.
Han Solo(big brother mode): Hey, what's that supposed to mean? The kid is great. He's kind, sweet, and smart. And he's got those puppy dog eyes that can make you bend to his will within seconds. You'd be lucky to have him part of the family.
Bail Organa: That's right. He's like a son to me. Have to go now! Please excuse me! (Runs off to tell Leia and Luke they're siblings before they make out).
Han Solo(confused): Kriff, is the kid like his secret love child or something?
And then Han spends the next couple of weeks, thinking how he's gonna break the news to Luke and Leia about the truth of their father.
