Life Reboot: Part 1
There is exactly two weeks until school reopens and I am yet to accomplish all of the things that I told myself that I would do during this break. Come with me as I get ready to go back to school and prep myself for the upcoming academic year. Here are a few things that I'll be doing to bolster this process:
Working out everyday: I realized that I have become weaker and less energetic lately due to me sitting at home for most of the day and that's gonna hinder my ability to perform my best when school start so I'll start of with short walks and simple stretches first and then move onto harder workouts.
Fixing my sleep schedule: I barely get anything done nowadays despite telling myself that I would do it because I find myself really tired and lethargic. Fixing my sleep schedule can help tackle this issue greatly and also help in increasing my energy levels for the day.
Digital Detox: The past month has been quite boring with nothing much to do and I turned to social media and forms of short-form entertainment to combat this and it has turned into a full blown addiction lately. It's scary how much time I'm losing without even realizing. I'm gonna be off of social media like Instagram because that's where my main problems lie. I'll be completely off this entire week and use it in a controlled manner next week.
Reconnecting Socially: Being an introvert I find it quite easy to just spend my days alone without talking to anyone and that isn't exactly the healthiest thing to do so I'm gonna be trying to keep in touch with my friends more and also try to hang out with them. This can help me get back into that mindset that'll be required in school.
Going through what will be taught: I'm gonna be completely honest right now and say that I have forgot everything that was being taught in school so I'll be using this time to go through everything and actually be able to focus in class as well instead of sitting there lost trying to remember what they taught.
This is all for this week I'll update next week and let you know how I did. Let me know what you want me to talk about and I'll try my best to do it. <3

Unwind After a Long Day
Imagine this, you just had a long day at work or school and all you want to do is just relax. Here are a few ways you can do that:
Indulging in skin care like facemasks and massages help you relax immensely.
Write down how you're feeling. Journaling is a great way to release stress and can help you analyze what is stressing you out.
Listening to music. This is one of my fav ways to kinda just sink in after a busy day and it helps a lot.
Reading helps us reduce stress and anxiety and helps boosts your mood, all of which are great for relaxing.
Going for a walk can help clear your head which is great to get into a more relaxed state.
Yoga or stretching not only helps you physically relieve tension but also helps in quieting the mind, improving circulation and way more. I highly recommend after a long day to relax.
Gardening, knitting, drawing, etc. are great hobbies that give you a sense of control and provides mental stimulation. These are crucial in rejuvenating your mind and body.
I hope these give you an idea of what to do to after a stressful day for a peaceful evening. <3

IT GIRL GUIDES
What does it mean to be an IT girl? For me it's to have a balance between all the aspects of your life, to do everything you're interested in without burning yourself out and to be effortlessly elegant, calm and, composed. My idea of an IT girl is a person who's social, sporty, smart, with an artistic side to them, a person who has a sense of identity in who they are. How can one achieve all of these? Well that's exactly what I'll be explaining in this post!
1. MASTERING SOCIAL INTERACTIONS
One thing that I've noticed about all IT girls is that they're never afraid to go up to someone and strike up a conversation. They don't have that fear of being 'awkward' or being perceived as 'weird'. So, the next time you want to be friends with someone or get a conversation started, just do it. Compliment their outfit, talk about a book they're reading , talk about the weather or the traffic or whatever you want to talk about. Keep in mind that building your social skills also involves being a good listener so instead of making the conversation all about you, just take a moment to listen to the other person as well. It's crazy how many people miss out on so many great, life changing experiences they could have had just because they were afraid to make the first move.
2. FINDING YOUR SPORT
Engaging in a sport is great for your physical and mental health + it gets your body fit and strong. Step 1: Try out a bunch of different sports and choose one that fits you best. I recommend choosing one or two because more than that can lead to you struggling to balance it all but definitely go for it if you're confident that you'll be able to do it. Step 2: Practice, Practice, Practice. Be consistent in your sport and practice regularly. Take breaks when needed in order to avoid injury and most importantly, just go with the flow. Don't get so worked up about perfecting or mastering anything right now, remember, we're learning right now. Step 3: Once you get pretty good at it, enroll in competitions, tournaments, etc. as they can be a great way to assess what level you are at and what you can improve. Although you may face a few failures, it'll be fine as long as you take them as lessons and choose a better perspective.
3.EXCELING ACADEMICALLY
Listen, I'm not good at academics at all and I'm pretty average myself so the tips that I give doesn't necessarily have to work for everyone. The first and most crucial step in exceling in academics is to practice time management. Allocate different times for when you're gonna study each subject and work on each task. Next is to revise through whatever you learned to help you solidify information in long-term memory. Pay attention when the teacher is teaching and always, always, always clear you doubts in class instead of keeping it for later. Along with this, staying organized and finding a study group can further enhance your approach and offer a different perspective. It's also important to keep in mind that too much studying can cause burnouts and other undesired things so make sure you have a balanced lifestyle to avoid that.
4. CULTIVATING YOUR ARTISTIC SIDE
There's nothing more sophisticated than being a person who has a taste for and can also execute an art skill. Art can be of various forms, it could be form of dance, a musical instrument, a persons ability to capture something on a page through drawing or painting, etc. Developing and learning an art is not an easy feat and requires dedication and consistency. One needs to be willing to experiment with different types of Art to find one that suits them and once they do, tremendous practice is needed to become good at it. But let me tell you it's all worth it, knowing that you're good at something that you're interested in and working on it. It's also a proud feeling to tell someone that you practice an art. A few key things to keep in mind are to go at your own pace and just enjoy the process, rushing yourself could burn you out and I personally found it hard to go back from that phase.
I hope that these tips can help you become the person you want to be and the best version of yourself. If I need to clarify myself at any point, just let me know. <3

10 lessons in 10 months
These past 10 months have been a rollercoaster of emotions and navigating through all of them was hard, but I learnt some valuable lessons that completely changed the way I viewed the world and the way I was as a person. I changed in a way that I never expected to. It scared me, everything was so unfamiliar, but I also got over them even though it wasn't easy. Ultimately, these experiences helped me shape who I am today.
Change is inevitable
No matter how hard we try to avoid it, it will always be present in our lives. As my teacher once said, "Change is the only unchanging constant." Embracing this truth can help us navigate life's uncertainties.
2. Choose the people who you want around you wisely
The people you're around define how you're perceived and plays a key part in your personality. So choose them with caution and make sure that they align with your values and beliefs.
3. Let yourself feel your emotions
Emotions are human. Allow yourself to feel them instead of avoiding them. I remember this time when I was homesick and depressed. I tried to suppress it and act like everything was fine and that led to me being even more depressed. Embracing my emotions ultimately helped me understand myself better and find a way to heal.
4. Always find a balance between everything
In the pursuit of something you might let everything else fall apart. This isn't the best approach to things and in the end it could do some serious damage. I know it can be tempting to just give your all in to something, but sometimes, without balance you could lose everything.
5. Don't be afraid to be yourself
Just because you're scared about what other people are going to say about you doesn't mean that you shouldn't be yourself. I mean who gives a shit about what other people say? The only thing that matters is whether you're happy or not. Remember, the people who talk shit about others are the people who are truly insecure.
6. Don't jump into relationships
Speaking from personal experience here, don't rush yourself into a relationship. Get to know the person, make sure that you guys actually match and that the person is right for you. Never settle for less than what you want and deserve. Take your time, True love comes when you least expect it.
7. Set boundaries and stick with them
Boundaries are a necessity in life. Having boundaries for everyone helps you and that person maintain a respectful and healthy relationship. Letting people know when they cross their boundary helps them understand and adjust their behavior accordingly.
8. Adaptation is key.
Adaptation is key to thriving in a constantly changing world. It makes us resilient which in turn helps us in bouncing back from our setbacks and tackling our challenges.
9. Goals over Convenience
Your goals are what's gonna eventually help you in having the life you want so never choose comfort over that. Comfort feels good but it's temporary. Even though it may seem like the better option now, keep in mind that choosing this can ruin your future. Put in the effort now for a comfortable future.
10. Chill. Life hasn't even started yet.
Stop taking things so seriously. Life's all about having fun and navigating through our struggles and it's easy to get caught up in that. As much as it's important to keep these in mind, sometimes you need to chill and just see where life takes you. The best moments in life are often unexpected, unplanned, and spontaneous.
These lessons have shaped me into the person I am today. Embracing change, surrounding myself with the right people, and prioritizing my goals have been vital in my journey. Life is a continuous learning experience, and as I move forward, I remind myself to enjoy the ride and trust the process. <3

About Me

Hi! I'm Samaah or Sam, a teen who's looking for inspo to level up my life and learn how to balance everything while not burning myself out. I'm fairly new to blogs and how it works so I will be posting once a week and I'll take up challenges as well. I'm also doing this to make sure I stay consistent with something because that's something I struggle with. I love answering questions so don't hesitate to ask me plenty of them. <3
Somethings about me are: I love the color red, my lucky number is 7, my favorite subject is math and my hobbies are to listen to music and to read books. I love playing sports and participate in multiple ones.
