Secret Little Haven

A friend of mine has created a Discord server to embody a space that she has never seen quite combined before! It's application only and will remain a small, compact community.

Oh, and to clear up any confusion, this server isn't about the video game that it shares a name with, but it is named after it. Beyond that, I have only the words of the owner herself. If these resonate with you, I highly suggest joining:

SLH is an application-only server focused on a spirit i have yet to coin a name for (see keywords below). The world is a dark place, and we're starving for community.

I find myself alienated from many spaces, even from ones i supposedly belong to. I'm hoping to cultivate one that's welcoming to those that find themselves feeling like they don't belong, in all the same ways i find myself feeling as much.

This server is not for everyone. I want the space to remain small, and I admittedly won't be accepting everyone. I've run communities for a long time, but they always seem to outgrow me, and I have to let them move on.

Online communities are at their most fun when they're small and when the community has a strong and clear culture. I want to try and maintain that, so please understand that i'm the peculiar one if your application isn't accepted.

The "vibe" doesn't have to be a perfect descriptor for you. If you're interested in visiting or participating in a space like this, there's no harm in submitting an application, regardless of if you're described by or familiar with the subject matter.
