why do tras go after terfs? actual terfs are a tiny group. I don’t think that it would be an underestimate to say there are easily less than half a million terfs and more likely less than 100,000. but terfs are the main group that trans activism focuses on fighting against. why?

because terfs are the group who is most dangerous to them. if people actually understood what terfs actually say - or if they just heard what they actually say - then it would be game over for tras. the entire platform would fall apart for being misogynistic and ridiculous.

At this point the Harry Potter fandom is synonymous with Transphobia. As the years have gone on and Rowling has made her genocidal beliefs more explicit, those who continue to insist to celebrate her work have become more and more openly hostile to transgender people as well.

it really became ever more clear when the Hogwarts Legacy game came out, as several streamers who claimed allyship went ahead and proudly posted how they were going to be grinding the game for hours are now declaring that the trans community is mean and are a bunch of bullies because they won’t let them enjoy stuff from their childhood anymore.

They are saying that trans people drive away their allies by not letting them enjoy things. All the while they say nothing about the people in their comments talking about how trannies are gross and that they are happy to buy several copies to support Rowling’s campaign.

Ultimately, trans people aren’t paranoid when we don’t trust a lot of people who claim to be our allies.
