My heart goes out to Simon and Martina of Eat Your Kimchi who had to say goodbye to their sweet boy, Spudgy, yesterday. Despite all the medical reasons for him to give up through the years, he kept pushing through to be with you two as long as possible. He couldn't have found a more loving couple to take him in 10 years ago. Thank you for sharing your sweet boy with us.

I've always wanted to do a short about this little pirate and her first mate -- a gentle monster. Been tossing this idea around since 2010 and I think it's about time I worked on it.

Stumbled across an old drawing I did in 2013 where I redrew a drawing I made when I was about 8 years old. I remember drawing this when the Canucks switched from the skate logo to the orca and I believe that was 1998 -- Correct me if I'm wrong. Unfortunately the drawing wasn't dated.

#ThrowbackThursday to the first time I drew on my smart phone and realized using your finger as a stylus was not a long term solution. People on transit kept lookin' at me cause I kept cursing under my breath every time I frakked up a line. Oh well. Presenting.... my chicken scratches which somehow turned into "Super Mario Bros the Later Years"

I've always wanted to animate a scene like this but have yet to come up with a story to tie it all together. I like the idea of a crow, holding a lantern, flying through the parted trees and its light rippling across all the forest elements. That being said, it would involve a lot of elements I tend to struggle with - backgrounds, shading, colour theory and painting. I assume the end result, like with this drawing, would be worth the effort.

I designed our wedding cake topper and then, when the holidays rolled around, turned it into a Christmas tree decoration.

Part of my gift to my bridal party and husband on our wedding day were portraits of them as superheroes and a DBZ character. Why? Because I'm convinced they all must have super powers. How else could they have helped stop me from becoming a Bridezilla?

My husband and I wanted a video game station at our wedding reception. I made a couple designs of us battling to decorate it. A few weeks before the big day, in all the craziness that accompanies planning a wedding, I nearly slipped up and showed him the prints. Thank god I realized what I had done and dove to hide them or he would have seen what my dress looked like before we walked down the isle! Close call lol
