𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤 | 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲
(This is my first time writing a theory, so I'm sorry if you guys don't understand some things)
I saw this on bilibili and time for me to go through these😃 (source)
Let's look at the 1st photo:

First let's look at our main trio,
In the left side, there are footprints near Qiao ling's photo and a red crosshair. Is someone targeting her? We know she got Li Tianxi's power in s2. Does somebody know it and is after Qiao ling. Maybe Liu Xiao. Maybe he knows how to take powers and Li tianchen is with him, and he wants to steal her power...
In the Bridon Arc, we saw Qiao ling in a pool of blood, and Vein killed her, right? So someone (Liu Xiao) has stolen her power.
Next, Cheng Xiaoshi is placed in the middle, in the spotlight...
About Lu Guang, his photo is placed on top of film tapes in negative. The memories?... Those film tapes contain the same picture of Cheng Xiaoshi. Yeah Lu Guang already knows death is unavoidable and Cheng Xiaoshi's life can't be saved.
Now let's look at other things:

In the 1st photo,
The case folder, labeled top secret. You can see there are some words written on it. Like lyrics, poems.
" ɪ ᴀᴍ ʟᴏᴏᴋɪɴɢ ᴀᴛ ᴩᴇᴏᴩʟᴇ.... ᴡʜᴏ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ʀᴜɴ. ᴛʜɪꜱ ꜱʜᴏᴡ ᴄᴀɴ'ᴛ ᴋɪʟʟ ᴛʜɪꜱ ʙᴜᴛᴛᴇʀꜰʟʏ..... ᴡʜᴇɴ ɪ ᴏᴜᴛᴛᴀ ꜱᴡᴀʟʟᴏᴡ ᴛʀᴜᴛʜ ᴅᴏᴡɴ ᴍʏ ᴛʜʀᴏᴀᴛ ʙᴜᴛ ɪ.... ɪ ʜᴇᴀʀ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱʏᴍᴩʜᴏɴʏ ɪɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ.... ᴛʜᴇ ʟᴏᴡ ᴛɪᴅᴇ ᴅᴇᴇᴩ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴇᴀ"
(Those dotted spaces are the words that i couldn't identify. If anyone knows them please comment)
I don't know about the first sentence. But about 'this butterfly' i think it's the butterfly effect and from Lu Guang's words.
And 'swallow truth..' I'm guessing it's Xia Fei's words. Like he couldn't accept that Vein was suddenly dead, yeah i think this fits perfectly with this line.
And 'the symphony', this gives me the idea of Liu Xiao's ability... He can hear heartbeats.
And the last line, i don't know about it. But I'm guessing like it's, something or someone is connected to something.
Now about the Bridon poststamp in blue colour with number 5 on it: i don't know but, will the main trio go to bridon in the future? And i did search up things on the number 5 in chinese numerology. In chinese, 5 is considered as five elements and also considered a lucky number. But it also has negative impacts.
Now from my pov, i think it means 5 chances, 5 failures. In the last ep of the bridon arc, after Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang got out of the police station, lu guang said 'it's that last time'. I think he might have travelled back into time 5 times. And it was the last chance.
And that small paper on the file, i think something's gonna happen in October 2025. New album, music video.....or a new trailer (oh how i wish it is🥺)
Now let's look into the 2nd photo in the above images: the red strings are connected to the cassette tape, and it's labelled music demo, playlist-original. But it's also tapped unsolved. And the cassette could contain hidden audio, clues, intercepted comms. That cassette either contains music or hidden messages.
And beside the cassette tape, there's a fingerprint mark on a paper in a plastic cover pinned by the red string. And there are some kind of pills inside, i don't know. But i think it might be Lu Guang's fingerprint since it's pinned right below Lu Guang's photo.
Now, let's go to the next image:

Very... Intresting🧐
Xia Fei's photo is labelled 'TOP SECRET'. Is it connected to his mysterious disappearance in the ep6 of the bridon arc? Or the time when Cheng Xiaoshi possessed Wang Qing and we got to see Xia Fei in the school. Why was he in there, does he have some kind of superpowers?
Next Vein. There's a red crosshair close to his photo like Qiao ling's. Is he being targeted? We know Vein is considered dead but he's mysteriously alive, and Jae lee the new character knows it. So is Jae lee is the one who's searching for Vein or somebody else...
And there's another plastic cover with pills next to Liu Xiao's photo. Are they pills or something else. What exactly are those pills? Also his photo is placed over a film tape. I can't identify the images though. But I'm sure it's related to him.
On the left side there's some kind of boarding pass near Xia Fei's photo. So his disappearance is because he went to another country. So he's safe somewhere in the world, right? And there's this time on it, 4.20pm and 1.30am. Could it be a secret code? Or is there some meaning behind them? Or is it airing time of album/music video?
There is also a 3 on the boarding pass. In chinese, 3 means- to live, life, positive outcomes and new beginnings. So I'm hoping there will be good, positive things happen in s3✨
And there is a date- FEB.06.2024. Okay....Can somebody tell what's on this day. Did something happen on this day?
Next the cassette tape. So we're getting 2 new music videos? One about the main trio and another about the bridon trio. Ahhh I'm so excited.
Then there is an identity card. Vein's maybe since it's placed below Vein's photo.
Next there's a note- 'Don't trust him?? Or her?'
Who is 'him?' Liu Xiao? In the Bridon Arc's opening, there are black and white books on the shelf behind Liu Xiao and by decoding them we got 'dont trust him'. So the 'him' here is Liu Xiao. And who is 'her?' Wang Qing? Cheng Xiaoshi's mother? Or someone else?
Next there is an image of Liu Xiao in the movie theater from ep6 of the bridon arc. And it's labelled 'REWIND<<'. What does that mean. Do i have to rewatch the ep6 or the whole brion arc again, sure I'd love to. But the end scene of that movie said 'the mastermind hasn't shown up yet.' I'm pretty sure it's Liu Xiao. And I'm suspicious of those lines on the screen. Are those secret codes?
There's a hand print on the paper beside that image, Liu Xiao's right? And why's there a red circle below the pinky finger?
Again I'm sorry if you don't understand some things. I did my best to write. And there's still some things that i don't understand.
And i want to know what you guys think? I want to know your theories and opinions. Please comment it below

𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢 𝐱 𝐟𝐞𝐦!𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫✨

You were never meant to join the army. Not really.
If it weren’t for the apocalypse, for the monsters and blood and the families you’d all lost, you might’ve been a quiet girl in a quiet school, daydreaming about your crush in class. But now, you were in Guren Ichinose’s squad. And your daydreams? They were still about the same boy: Shinya Hiiragi.
Except he wasn’t a boy. Not really. Not with those sapphire eyes that could calm a storm. Not with that graceful aim and the way he wielded Byakkomaru like a second skin. And definitely not with that smile—the one that made your heart thud in the middle of life-or-death missions.
To make it worse, he was your best friend.
“Y/n, you daydreamin’ about Shinya again?” Guren’s voice drawled beside you one night during patrol, a smirk curling on his lips.
You nearly choked. “W-what?! No! Why would you even—?”
He raised a brow. “You’re staring at him like he’s the last bar of chocolate in the world.”
You glared, cheeks burning. “I don’t—”
“You do,” Guren said simply. “And I don’t blame you. He’s prettier than most girls I know.”
You couldn’t deny it. Not when Shinya stood up ahead, moonlight dancing across his silver-white hair, jacket half-zipped, rifle slung lazily over his shoulder. Laughing at something Yoichi said.
The rest of the squad was spread out at the ruined school outpost: Goshi, Shigure, Mito, Sayuri. Everyone taking a break after dealing with a band of lower-level vampires. Your bones ached, your heart more.
“You gonna tell him?” Guren asked, watching you like a hawk.
You gave a bitter chuckle. “And risk ruining everything? No. I’d rather have him like this—laughing next to me—than not at all.”
Guren was silent for a beat. “You’re stronger than I thought.”
“I’m weak,” you whispered. “That’s why I can’t tell him.”
------------------
A week later.
You were bleeding. Not badly, but enough for Shinya to panic.
He knelt beside you, breath uneven. “You idiot,” he muttered, voice shaking. “You jumped in front of me.”
“You’d have done the same,” you grinned, trying to ignore the burning pain in your side.
He didn’t laugh.
“Don’t do that again,” he said, voice low. “Don’t make me watch you fall.”
“I’m fine—”
“You’re not!” he snapped.
The rest of the squad was silent. Even Guren looked uneasy.
“Shinya—” you whispered.
But he stood, eyes dark. “Next time, let me protect you, alright?”
You didn’t reply. Couldn’t.
Because the look in his eyes—it wasn’t friendly. It wasn’t casual. It was…
Worried. Terrified. Vulnerable.
Guren pulled you aside that night when you were cleaning your cursed gear.
“You saw it, didn’t you?” he said quietly. “The way he looked at you.”
Your heart stuttered. “What do you mean?”
Guren smirked, tossing you a clean towel. “I think someone else has a crush now.”
------------------
Two weeks later.
It was supposed to be a routine mission. Just a scouting trip with Shinya.
The road was quiet. The trees skeletal. Snowflakes drifted like ashes.
You walked beside each other, not talking much. The silence wasn’t awkward. It never was.
Until Shinya spoke.
“You never told me why you joined the army,” he said.
You shrugged. “I had nowhere else to go.”
He nodded, lips pressed thin. “Me neither.”
Silence again.
Then—
“I was scared,” you admitted. “But you made it bearable.”
Shinya turned to you, eyes soft. “You’ve always been brave. You’re the reason most of us come back alive.”
You looked down. “I was never brave with you.”
“What do you mean?”
You took a breath.
“This,” you whispered. “I’ve… I’ve liked you for a long time. But I didn’t want to lose you. So I never said anything.”
The silence stretched.
A branch cracked somewhere in the forest. But you only heard your heartbeat.
Then—
Warm fingers brushed yours.
Shinya was smiling. Quiet. Gentle.
“You’re not losing me,” he said. “Not now. Not ever.”
Your breath hitched. “Shinya…”
He stepped closer. The air between you was electric. Real.
“I think I’ve like you too,” he said. “But I didn’t want to ruin things either.”
You let out a shaky laugh, relief flooding your chest. “We’re a pair of idiots.”
“Yep,” he said, and finally—finally—he kissed you.
It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t desperate.
It was everything you’d imagined. And more.
------------------
Later, at camp.
Guren sipped his tea, watching the two of you laughing by the fire.
Goshi elbowed him. “Finally.”
Mito nodded. “Took long enough.”
Guren chuckled to himself.
“I always knew love in the apocalypse would be messy.”
But maybe, just maybe—it was also beautiful.

𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐱 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐤𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫🐱(𝐩𝐭. 𝟐)
• Cheng Xiaoshi
It was just past midnight in the quiet apartment above the Time Photo Studio, the warm glow of the street lamps outside flickering like lullabies through gauzy curtains. The soft hum of the city had long faded into the hush of nighttime peace.
You were curled up on your side of the bed, soft black neko ears twitching now and then, your tail gently draped over your waist as you dozed in a patch of moonlight. Exhausted from the day—taking care of your 7-month-old bundle of chaos and joy—you’d passed out early, still half-draped in Xiaoshi’s hoodie. Your mate had insisted on watching your son tonight. “You sleep,” he’d whispered, brushing a kiss behind your ear, “I’ve got him. My turn to be on baby duty.”
He sounded so confident.
But the baby? Your son? Cheng Yuelin?
He was a tiny, fluffy, dangerous miniature version of Cheng Xiaoshi himself.
.....
1:12 AM
Xiaoshi crouched on the living room floor, eye twitching.
“Yuelin, buddy. Papa loves you, okay? But it’s 1a.m. Why are we climbing the couch backwards?”
Yuelin, squeeshy-cheeked and brown-eyed like his father, gurgled in triumph, ears perked atop his head, fluffy black tail flicking wildly behind him. He had no concept of bedtime. No concept of gravity either, apparently.
Cheng Xiaoshi, dressed in his sweats and a food-stained T-shirt from feeding time, lunged just in time to catch the squirming boy before he tumbled off the side of the sofa.
“I swear you get this chaos from your mom,” Xiaoshi muttered, but he was smiling, cradling the giggling baby in his arms.
Yuelin’s tail curled around his father’s wrist.
“Okay. Fine. Round three. We’ll tire you out, mister. But no dimensional jumps tonight.”
He set Yuelin down on the playmat beside a half-dozen plushies, most of them tigers or foxes, because you swore he had big neko energy. Yuelin squealed and immediately began a crawling marathon around the coffee table, knocking over a cup of water as he went.
Xiaoshi ran a hand through his hair. “Lu Guang would have just frozen time.”
Yuelin paused and looked back at him with the same unimpressed expression his father wore when someone lied about what they wanted from a photo dive. Xiaoshi stared back.
“…What? What did I say?”
The baby huffed, flopped onto his back, and began gnawing on his own foot.
“Okay, okay, nap time for real,” Xiaoshi sighed, scooping him up. “You need to sleep, little gremlin. Your mom’s gonna skin me if she finds out you didn’t nap at all.”
Yuelin yawned dramatically, neko ears twitching. His tail drooped. But his eyes still sparkled with mischief.
Xiaoshi rocked him slowly, walking over to the window where the moonlight spilled in soft and silver. He hummed under his breath—one of those lullabies you taught him in your hybrid dialect, soft and warm.
You’d joked once that Yuelin inherited your tail and ears but his father’s troublemaking spirit.
He hadn’t disagreed.
As the baby’s breathing finally slowed and evened out, Xiaoshi gently pressed a kiss to his tiny forehead.
“Good night, moon beast,” he whispered.
He carried Yuelin back into the bedroom and carefully tucked him into the little crib beside your bed. You stirred slightly as Xiaoshi sat down beside you, brushing a stray lock of hair from your cheek.
“You okay?” you mumbled sleepily, one ear flicking toward him.
“He tried to fly off the couch,” Xiaoshi said flatly. “Twice.”
You chuckled, eyes still closed. “Told you he’s got your blood.”
“He chewed on my sock.”
“That’s all you.”
“But… he smiled when I sang,” he added softly. “Same way you do.”
You opened your eyes just enough to catch the tender look on Xiaoshi’s face as he watched the baby. Your heart clenched sweetly.
“I think I’m in trouble,” he said.
“Welcome to parenthood,” you whispered, reaching for his hand. He laced your fingers together and kissed your palm.
Outside, the city murmured.
Inside, a tiny neko tail flicked in sleep, and Cheng Xiaoshi watched over his family like they were the only truth he’d ever needed.
• Lu Guang
It was well past midnight, and the apartment was cloaked in the soft blue glow of the moonlight. Lu Guang sat quietly on the couch, head tilted back against the cushions as he tried not to fall asleep sitting up. His usually composed expression was softened by exhaustion and quiet affection.
A small giggle—high and mischievous—echoed through the apartment.
Pat. Pat. Pat.
Soft little hands and knees moved across the wooden floor with surprising speed.
Lu Ren, your ten-month-old son, had somehow mastered the art of escaping his crib in complete silence. Again.
“Guang,” you whispered groggily from the hallway, wearing an oversized T-shirt and sleep shorts, your cat ears twitching with mild distress. “He’s on loose.”
Your tail swished behind you with lazy frustration, while your left arm dragged the baby’s plush moon-blanket like a flag of defeat.
Lu Guang blinked slowly and sat up, already hearing the pitter-patter of claws—tiny neko claws—across the living room floor.
“He’s faster than yesterday,” Lu Guang noted, stretching his long limbs before sliding onto the floor like it was a tactical mission. His bare feet padded softly on the rug as he peered under the coffee table.
A pair of golden kitten eyes blinked back at him.
“…Ren,” Lu Guang said calmly, pushing up his sleeves as if preparing to diffuse a bomb. “Come out.”
Lu Ren only mewled in reply. Mew. Then giggled.
The tail—identical to yours—flicked back and forth tauntingly.
“Oh no,” you groaned from behind, slumping onto the couch dramatically, tail curling around your thigh. “He’s got your stubbornness and my reflexes.”
Lu Guang gave you a brief look. “We’re doomed.”
“I’ll accept that.”
After a solid five minutes of slow crawling, distraction attempts with shiny keys, and one failed pounce, Lu Guang finally managed to scoop Lu Ren up, who immediately clung to his shirt and started gnawing on his collar like it was his mission.
“I think he’s teething again,” Lu Guang murmured, gently rubbing Ren’s back.
You sat up, holding out your arms. “Bring him here. He likes to lie on my chest when he’s grumpy.”
Lu Guang brought your son over, his quiet footsteps barely audible. He sat beside you on the couch, and you shifted slightly to let Ren rest between you, one of his tiny hands gripping your tail possessively like it was a comfort plush.
As soon as his head touched your chest, he gave a long sigh and purred. Loudly.
You smiled down at him, brushing his wispy dark hair back. “He really is part kitten.”
“You say that like you’re not,” Lu Guang teased lightly, his hand stroking one of your ears. “You purred in your sleep last night.”
“Lies,” you mumbled, cheeks heating up.
“I have audio evidence,” he said without missing a beat.
You turned your face to him, mock-glaring. “You wouldn’t.”
“I would.”
You stared. He smiled. That rare, soft, genuine Lu Guang smile that always made your heart melt like butter on warm toast.
The night felt suddenly warmer, despite the time and the fatigue. Lu Ren shifted, letting out a soft breathy laugh in his sleep, his little tail curling across your stomach.
Lu Guang leaned in and kissed your temple. “You’re amazing, you know that?”
You blinked up at him, your ears twitching. “Why?”
“For making chaos look beautiful.”
You laughed softly, leaning into his shoulder. “You’re tired. You’re getting poetic.”
“I’m always poetic. I just reserved it.”
You looked at him for a long moment, then slowly reached up to tuck a lock of hair behind his ear. “I love you.”
“I know,” he said, brushing his knuckles over your cheek. “And I love you too.”
Lu Ren snorted in his sleep and started kneading your shirt with his tiny fists.
“…Yeah, he’s definitely yours,” Lu Guang deadpanned.
You burst into laughter so hard you had to smother the sound in his shoulder.
The three of you stayed like that until morning crept in through the curtains. Lu Ren finally, finally fell into deep sleep, curled between you two, warm and safe.
And as the sun rose, Lu Guang whispered, “I wouldn’t trade this for anything. Not even eight hours of sleep.”
“…Bold,” you replied, already dozing off.
“Reckless,” he added with a smile, settling in for a catnap with the two people who meant everything to him.
• Liu Xiao
The morning sun dappled through the gauzy curtains, casting golden shapes across the wooden floorboards. Somewhere in the quiet of the countryside estate, birds chirped softly, but inside, the house was far from silent.
“Liu Lian, no—put that back!”
You rushed barefoot across the living room, your neko ears twitching in frustration while your fluffy tail swished in annoyance. Your one-year-old son, Liu Lian, had somehow managed to clamber onto the armchair and was tugging wildly at Liu Xiao’s long black coat that hung on a hook just by the door.
Next to him, his twin sister Liu Yue, was sitting firmly on the floor with the enormous sunhat on her tiny head, the brim covering her eyes, her little tail flicking with amusement.
“Lian! Yue! That’s your papa's stuff!”
Lian turned around, chubby cheeks flushed, little black neko ears perked up high, his baby fangs glinting as he grinned. “Nooo, papa is mister spy,” he declared proudly in broken baby talk. “We spy too!”
“Yeah! Yue spy!” his sister added, trying to peek under the brim and waddling towards the hallway like a dramatic agent.
You sighed, stifling a laugh, placing a hand on your hip. “You two are too much…”
From the hallway came the calm, low voice that always settled your heart like a slow wave. “Are my tiny agents conspiring against me again?”
Liu Xiao’s long legs padded silently across the floor as he entered the living room, dressed casually for once — just black slacks and a soft, navy blue sweater that hugged his tall frame.
Your ears twitched, and you caught the glint of affection in his eyes immediately.
“Papa!” Yue squealed and stumbled right into his legs, hugging his calf with both arms, still wearing his hat.
He scooped her up smoothly, lifting her like she weighed nothing, the hat slipping from her head onto the floor. “Agent Yue, you’ve been compromised,” he said seriously, then gave her a soft kiss on the temple. “Mission failed.”
She giggled and tugged at the collar of his sweater. “Papa wear coat! Look like spy!”
Liu Xiao turned to you with a quiet chuckle. “You’ve been telling them stories again?”
“Only the truth,” you teased, swishing your tail lightly behind you. “They think you’re some secret agent because of the way you come and go all mysteriously.”
“Can’t help it,” he murmured, crossing the room to press a kiss to your forehead. “I fell in love with a hybrid who hears everything and raises tiny kittens.”
You leaned into him with a grin, brushing your cheek against the soft wool of his sweater. “Flatterer.”
“Spy!” Lian yelled again, clinging to Liu Xiao’s leg now. “Spy hug Mama!”
Liu Xiao arched a brow. “Jealous?”
“Nooo! Papa hug Lian too!”
Chuckling, Liu Xiao leaned down and picked up Lian with his free arm, both twins now balanced effortlessly in his embrace.
You watched them, your heart swelling. The contrast was striking — the mysterious Liu Xiao who once walked the tightrope between timelines and consequences, now grounded, softened by two toddlers and a neko hybrid partner who insisted he eat breakfast before brooding on the porch.
Lian reached up and tugged his father’s ear. “Hat too big,” he mumbled.
“Then I’ll have to get one in twin-size,” Liu Xiao mused, kissing both his children on the nose before settling them on the rug with a pile of stuffed animals — including their favorite, a plush white tiger Liu Xiao had won at the fair last month.
You sat beside him on the couch, curling your tail over your lap, resting your head on his shoulder.
“Hey,” you said quietly, brushing his hand with your fingers, “You happy?”
Liu Xiao turned to look at you, shadows of his old grief flickering in his gaze — the brother he’d lost, the timelines he couldn’t fix. But those thoughts were far, far away now, like dust on the horizon.
“I am,” he answered. “Because I never thought I’d have something like this. You. Them.”
“They adore you, you know,” you murmured. “Even if they think you’re a spy.”
He chuckled softly. “Let them believe it. One day, they’ll know the real story.”
Lian crawled back toward you both with Yue in tow, their tails tangled together, their ears bouncing.
“Story time!” Lian declared.
Yue nodded fiercely. “Spy story!”
You and Liu Xiao exchanged a look.
“How about this?” he said, pulling all three of you — twins and mama — into a warm cocoon of limbs and love. “Once upon a time, there was a man with a big hat who fell in love with the prettiest neko he’d ever seen…”
You laughed, your heart melting as the twins settled in, wide-eyed and grinning, tails flicking in time.
And so the spy told his story — not one of timelines or revenge or echoing heartbeats — but of home, of love, and the way a man found his peace not in power, but in the sleepy weight of his children on his chest, and the warmth of a neko curled beside him.
• Xia Fei
The apartment was warm and softly lit, the faint scent of lavender bubble bath still lingering in the air. You were on the floor of the bathroom, towel draped over your lap, holding a squirmy, pouting little girl wrapped only in her favorite star-patterned diaper.
Xia Mei.
Half human, half neko hybrid—just like you. She’d inherited your twitchy kitten ears and expressive tail, though her fur was softer and her pout far more potent. And right now?
She was mad. Seething, in fact, in the most adorable baby way possible.
“Daa-ddy late,” she huffed, bottom lip trembling dramatically as she stared at the door. “No ducky. No splash-splash.”
Your ears twitched as you nuzzled her hair and tried not to laugh. “He’s probably caught up in a shoot, mei-mei.”
“No ‘cuses. He pwomised bath! Wubba ducky WATE.”
Your tail flicked, amused. You smoothed her damp baby hairs away from her round cheeks. “I know, sweetheart. Let’s give him a chance to explain—”
Just then, the door clicked open.
You didn’t even need to lift your head. You could smell him the moment he walked in—woodsy cologne, faint sweat from studio lights, and that expensive shampoo they always made him use. Xia Fei stepped in, juggling a designer duffle and a bouquet of white lilies.
And then he froze.
He caught sight of you—exhausted, seated on a folded towel. And then his daughter: flushed cheeks, pouty mouth, big gold-amber eyes staring straight at him. She blinked once.
Then—
“DADDYYYYY!!”
She screeched with such betrayal that Xia Fei dropped the lilies.
“I’m sorry—!” he blurted, ducking as she flung her rubber ducky across the hallway. It bounced off the closet door with a squeak of judgment.
Xia Fei blinked. “She waited, didn’t she?”
You nodded solemnly. “Thirty minutes. In the tub. Wouldn’t go in until you came. The water got cold. She got mad. Now she’s boycotting everything but vengeance.”
Xia Mei crawled up to the edge of the towel and banged her tiny fists into the floor. “Pwomised! Duck bath with bubbles! You pwomised!”
He dropped his duffle and rushed forward, crouching to her level. “You’re right. I did. I messed up. I’m sorry, baby girl.”
She sniffed. Hard. “You smell like photo-people.”
You choked on a laugh as Xia Fei put a hand on his chest, wounded. “Harsh, Mei-Mei.”
“No hug ‘til bath,” she sniffed, then turned away and plopped onto her diaper-padded butt with all the finality of a dictator.
“She’s not budging,” you whispered to him.
“I deserve this,” he whispered back. “But give me ten minutes and I’ll fix it.”
You quirked a brow. “And how exactly—”
“Just trust me.”
.....
Ten Minutes Later...
Xia Mei blinked as her father reappeared, a towel around his shoulders, bubble wand in one hand, and a re-warmed bath filled with lavender foam and glittery duckies awaiting.
“Wubba ducky army!” Xia Mei gasped.
“That’s right,” he said with a grin. “Special Daddy-Mei-Mei Duck Patrol.”
You helped lower her into the warm water as she squealed with joy, tail flicking. Xia Fei rolled up his sleeves and dipped his hands in to scoop bubbles and build her a foam crown.
“She’s going to forgive you now,” you murmured, leaning against the doorframe with a fond smile.
“She already has,” he said quietly, watching as Xia Mei giggled at her new ducky army. He turned toward you. “But I haven’t forgiven myself.”
You stepped toward him, placing a soft kiss at the corner of his jaw. “She’s a baby, Fei. She missed you. That’s all. And so did I.”
He wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you in. His voice dropped, almost hesitant. “Sometimes I worry I’m not home enough. That I’m choosing the wrong dreams.”
You brushed a hand through his damp hair. “You’re chasing your dreams for us. Xia Mei might get mad when you’re late, but she adores you. And I… I’m proud of you.”
His shoulders relaxed a little. “You really think so?”
“I know so.” You traced the edge of his ear and teased, “Besides, you’re way too hot for me to let you quit modeling. Do you know how many stylists flirt with you?”
He smirked. “Jealous?”
“Territorially affectionate.”
Behind you, Xia Mei splashed.
“Daddy! Mommy! Duck king needs bwessings!!”
You both turned. Xia Mei was sitting in her foam kingdom, bubbles on her head, a rubber duckie on each shoulder like royal guards.
Xia Fei knelt, pressed a dramatic kiss to her forehead, and said solemnly, “Long live Queen Mei.”
She giggled, eyes sparkling. “Daddy stay home tomorrow?”
“I’ll tell Vein,” he said without hesitation. “Family first.”
You smiled and joined them on the bathroom floor, letting your tail curl around his. In that small bathroom, your little neko family was warm, safe, and exactly where it belonged.
• Vein
The Vein Mansion was silent. Too silent. Suspiciously so.
You blinked from your perch on the velvet couch, cat ears twitching. The last time it was this quiet, Xiao Ying had figured out how to peel all the labels off her formula jars and replaced them with Vein’s expensive wine labels.
And now?
“...Ying?” you called softly, your tail curling in slow anxiety. “Baby, where are you?”
Silence.
You turned to Vein, who was at his antique desk, sorting through a stack of confidential files with one hand, the other twirling a red tassel earring.
“Hey, babe,” you said, a note of worry creeping into your voice. “Have you seen Xiao Ying?”
He didn’t look up, still writing with an elegant flick of his pen. “She was in her playpen fifteen minutes ago, gnawing on the star plush.”
“No, she wasn’t,” you replied, standing abruptly. “That was forty-five minutes ago. She’s not in the playpen now.”
That made him stop.
Vein’s red eyes met yours, alarm flickering just beneath the calm.
“…She’s crawling now.”
“Yes.”
“In a 24-room estate.”
“Yes.”
“She could be in the wine cellar.”
Your eye twitched. “I swear if our eight-month-old neko baby is doing shots of 1780 Château Lafite Rothschild before I get to try it—”
“We mobilize,” he said, standing up so fast his coat fluttered like a cape. “Operation: Find Xiao Ying. I’ll take the east wing.”
You nodded, “Meet at the koi garden in thirty.”
“Done.”
------------------
Hour One: Chaos Unleashed
Vein had combed the library (no sign of her), the recording room (where she had been caught licking a vintage microphone last week), and his private card vault (she once tried to eat a black spade card). Still nothing.
You, meanwhile, had found:
A chewed slipper (not hers)
An empty snack pouch
A suspiciously fluffy trail of neko fur down the main corridor
But no Xiao Ying.
Your tail puffed up in frustration. “Ying! Mommy has tuna treats!”
No answer. No crawl-slap sounds on the marble floors either.
Vein messaged you at one point:
Vein: No sign. Found half a rattle in the rose greenhouse. Slightly damp. Possibly drooled on.
You: Good. That means she passed through. Try the music room next. I’m checking the ballroom.
Vein: If she got into the grand piano again I will cry.
------------------
Hour Two: Panic
The longer she was gone, the more chaotic both of you became.
You knocked over a potted plant in desperation. Vein spilled an entire bottle of ink on his tailored shirt. Neither of you cared anymore.
“She’s gone!” you cried, rushing into the koi garden with your ears flat and eyes wide.
“She’s not gone,” Vein said, running a hand through his crimson-black hair. “She’s stealthy. She’s… my daughter. Of course she’s chaos incarnate.”
“And mine,” you pointed out, tail lashing. “Which means she’s also a little menace with the energy of a squirrel and the stealth of a cat.”
“Exactly,” he said grimly. “We’re doomed.”
------------------
Hour Three: The Discovery
It was your ears that picked it up first.
A faint mew.
Then a thump.
Then a giggle.
You and Vein locked eyes, gasping. “Under the koi bridge!”
Both of you dove for the decorative stone bridge in the middle of the garden. Sure enough, just beneath it, nestled between ivy and a rolled-up rug, was—
“XIAO YING!” you both shouted.
There she was.
Little Xiao Ying, fluffy neko ears twitching, cheeks plump, and her tail curled neatly over her diaper. She had somehow crawled into the secret crawlspace and was snuggled up with her white tiger plushie, humming nonsense and chewing on a koi biscuit.
“HOW did you even—” you stammered.
Vein crouched beside her, face filled with disbelief and awe. “She beat us. She outsmarted us.”
You scooped her into your arms, pressing kisses to her chubby cheeks. “My baby, you scared us half to death!”
She blinked up at you with wide red-orange eyes—so much like Vein’s—and let out a happy, toothless squeal.
Then bit your ear.
------------------
Later That Evening...
After the panic had subsided and Xiao Ying had been bathed, fed, and properly snuggled into her neko onesie, you and Vein lay sprawled in your massive canopy bed, your baby curled up between you like a warm little dumpling.
You turned to Vein, exhausted but giggling. “So… that was a fun day.”
He snorted. “I run international trade, bend politicians to my will, and somehow an 8-month-old rules my house.”
“She’s part you.”
“That explains the dramatics,” he teased, brushing his fingers gently over your twitching ears. “And she’s part you. That explains how she disappeared like smoke.”
“Bet she’ll learn how to teleport before we do.”
Vein wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you close. “As long as she teleports back to us,” he murmured against your neck.
You smiled, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “We’ll always find her.”
In the warm glow of the bedroom light, Xiao Ying let out a soft coo in her sleep and curled closer, her tail wrapping around Vein’s wrist.
And in that moment, despite all the chaos, it was perfect.

𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐱 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐤𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫🐱(𝐩𝐭. 𝟏)
• Cheng Xiaoshi
Rain pattered against the window of Time Photo Studio, a rhythmic lullaby that matched the quiet inside. You were curled up on the couch-tail twitching lazily, cat ears flicking toward every distant rumble of thunder. A fluffy blanket wrapped around your shoulders like a cape, and a warm mug of milk sat between your palms. The studio, usually humming with tense missions and Lu Guang's warnings, had a rare softness to it tonight.
"Another nap day?" Cheng Xiaoshi's voice broke the quiet as he poked his head around the doorframe.
You blinked up at him, a soft purr in your throat. "It's raining. What else am I supposed to do?"
He chuckled, walking toward you, messy hair and tired eyes betraying how late he'd stayed up editing photos. "So being a cat hybrid means you get to just loaf around whenever the weather gets gloomy?"
You smirked. "Exactly. It's in the handbook."
Without asking, he sat beside you and tugged you into his lap. Your tail flicked once, then settled over his thigh. He smelled faintly like soap and the studio's old camera bags-something warm and familiar. You tucked your face against his chest, and he instinctively wrapped his arms around you.
"Lu Guang told me not to bug you," you murmured, "since you're supposed to be resting. But I missed you."
Cheng Xiaoshi exhaled softly, fingers carding through your hair, brushing between your ears just the way you liked. "I missed you too. I always do after a mission. I go back and see everyone's memories, but none of them are you."
You tilted your head up, ears perking. "Do you wish I could go with you?"
"I'd rather you didn't," he said, half-smiling. "Too dangerous. I'd go crazy if something happened to you in there."
Your heart fluttered. He always acted so impulsively, emotionally driven-but with you, he was cautious, gentle.
"Would you still love me if I scratched the furniture?" you teased, claws extending ever so slightly from your fingertips.
He looked down at you, a slow grin spreading across his face. "I already forgave you for clawing up the armrest last week."
"I was stressed!"
"And when you knocked over Lu Guang's cactus?"
"That one was... an accident."
You both burst into laughter, the sound filling the studio with warmth. Cheng Xiaoshi leaned down and kissed your forehead between your ears. "You're lucky you're cute."
You rubbed your cheek against his, purring softly. "You're lucky I chose you, Xiaoshi."
He stilled for a moment, then leaned back to look into your eyes. "I still can't believe someone like you-sweet, soft, loyal... beautiful-wants someone like me."
"Someone like you," you echoed, flicking his nose with your tail, "is kind, brave, stupidly self-sacrificing, and has the warmest heart I've ever known."
He kissed you then-slow, deep, and full of quiet emotion. His hands stayed firmly on your back, pressing you close, like he was scared the moment would slip away.
When you finally broke apart, breathless and giggling, you batted his chest lightly. "You're clingy."
He tucked his head into the crook of your neck. "I'm dating a neko girl who turns into a blanket in cold weather. Of course I'm clingy. You're too soft to resist."
You meowed playfully. "Then let's just stay here. Just like this. No missions, no timelines. Just us."
"Deal," he whispered. "But only if you promise not to eat all the tuna again."
You smirked. "No promises."
------------------
Later that night...
Lu Guang walked into the studio, umbrella dripping in hand, only to stop dead at the sight of you two tangled on the couch. You were asleep, tail wrapped around Xiaoshi's wrist like a ribbon, ears twitching gently in dreamland. Cheng Xiaoshi snored lightly against your hair.
Lu Guang sighed, stepping over the scattered snack wrappers and overturned blanket.
"I swear to God," he muttered, "if she eats the emergency tuna again..."
But even he couldn't suppress a small smile as he pulled the blanket higher over you both, letting the rain lull the studio back into peaceful quiet.
• Lu Guang
Rain tapped gently on the windows of the Time Photo Studio. Soft golden light from a nearby desk lamp made the space feel warmer than the gray, wet afternoon outside. Lu Guang sat by the computer, his usual black turtleneck snug against his lean frame, glasses perched neatly on his nose. He was reviewing files, completely absorbed-until something soft and furry tickled the back of his neck.
"Again?" he asked, voice cool but not annoyed.
You blinked, your tail swishing behind you as you leaned over his shoulder. "You were so focused," you murmured, smiling. "I thought you needed a distraction."
Lu Guang didn't respond right away. His eyes moved from the screen to your reflection in the glass. Ears-furry, expressive, and dusted with faint stripes-twitched playfully atop your head.
"I just organized twenty years' worth of photos into a timeline for a grieving client," he said. "This isn't the time for distractions."
You leaned in closer, purring ever so slightly. "But I brought tea," you cooed, holding out a porcelain mug with a tiny pawprint charm hanging from the handle.
Lu Guang finally turned toward you fully, sighing through his nose. "You know I can't resist the lavender honey blend."
"Mmhm." You slid onto the couch, tail curling around your leg. "I remember everything you like. That's my superpower."
He gave a rare smile. Not wide, not giddy-but a softening of his expression. "Then you're stronger than I am."
------------------
It hadn't been easy when you two started dating. A half-neko hybrid wasn't exactly a common sight, even in Bridon. Most people thought you were cosplaying-until your ears twitched or you dropped from a rooftop at inhuman speed.
But Lu Guang never once looked at you like you were strange. The first time you met, you were crouched on a fire escape in the middle of a photo shoot gone wrong, drenched in the rain, arguing with a raccoon over your stolen lunch.
He had walked by with Cheng Xiaoshi, paused, then calmly said: "That bento box is clearly yours. The raccoon didn't pay for it."
You had blinked, soaking wet and shivering. "Wait... are you being serious?"
"Yes," he said, offering you an umbrella. "Come down before you catch a cold."
Now, months later, you often hang around the studio. Sometimes to help, sometimes to nap on the couch in the sun, sometimes just to be near him.
He never complained.
------------------
Later that evening, Lu Guang finally closed his laptop. "You've been too quiet."
You looked up from your curled position on the couch. "Is that bad?"
"No," he said, approaching. "Just suspicious."
You gave a soft snort. "I was watching the rain. It sounds nicer here than anywhere else."
Lu Guang sat beside you, wrapping an arm around your waist. "That's because you feel safe here."
His touch was grounding-cool fingers on your back, calming your instinctive restlessness.
"You're too observant for your own good," you muttered, tail curling around his thigh.
"I have to be." He brushed your bangs back, revealing your glowing eyes in the low light. "You move too fast. I need to keep up."
You leaned against his chest, heart steadying as his fingers absentmindedly ran down your spine-smoothing fur, tracing every familiar curve.
"Do you ever see me in the past?" you asked quietly. "In those photos?"
He stilled for a moment.
"Sometimes," he admitted. "When you pop into a frame by accident. A tail here. An ear there."
You laughed, embarrassed. "Oh god. That must look ridiculous."
"No," he murmured. "It makes me feel less alone. Like you were always meant to be somewhere close."
Your heart hiccupped.
"I love you," you said before you could stop yourself.
He looked down at you, gold eyes unreadable in the dark. But his hand on your cheek was gentle, his forehead resting against yours.
"I know," he whispered. "And I love you, too."
------------------
Later that night, he let you fall asleep wrapped around him on the couch. Your tail tucked between you, your ears finally relaxed, safe and warm.
And just before he closed his eyes, he murmured against your hair:
"I'll see you in every timeline."
• Liu Xiao
Rain spattered softly against the windowpane as you leaned against the sill, arms folded, watching for the silhouette you had come to recognize even through fog and darkness. Liu Xiao was late coming home. Again.
You sighed, breath misting the glass. His missions, however classified and cryptic, always stretched longer than he promised. "Just two hours," he'd whisper against your forehead. "Three, tops. Then I'll come home and hold you until you're bored of me."
As if.
You rubbed your tail anxiously-a twitching sign of nerves that Liu Xiao always found far too entertaining. He had a habit of wrapping his long fingers around it and murmuring praises in that deep, amused voice of his, as though it were his favorite thing about you. Which he claimed, repeatedly, it was.
And maybe you'd let yourself believe that.
Until tonight.
You blinked, eyes narrowing as your heartbeat stuttered-not from affection, but from surprise. Down below, in the shared garden just outside your apartment, stood Liu Xiao.
With a cat.
More accurately: he was crouched, completely absorbed in the feline creature from your flat-the one you'd rescued weeks ago, who normally only curled around your ankles and hissed at strangers. But right now? The traitor was rubbing affectionately against Liu Xiao's chest, purring as he scratched behind its ears, completely ignoring the fact that you'd waited with soup on the stove and a freshly groomed tail just for him.
You watched in stunned silence as he said something-soft, amused. The cat meowed in response. He smiled, small and rare.
That smile. That damn smile that you thought was yours.
You slammed the window shut.
------------------
You didn't speak to him when he finally came upstairs, shoes wet from the rain and coat glistening. His round glasses had fogged slightly, but even through them, he saw the storm in your eyes.
"...What did I do this time?" he asked carefully, voice smooth and velvet-soft.
You didn't answer.
He stepped closer. "Something about your heartbeat is off. Jealousy?" A pause. "Ah. The cat."
You turned sharply. "I wait for hours with dinner, and you're down there whispering secrets to her? I had to hear your voice through the window like I'm some stranger-"
"She's not even a human."
"She's still a female!"
Liu Xiao chuckled-a low, warm sound that only made your tail puff in indignation. His eyes crinkled behind his glasses, then softened as he stepped forward. "You're cute when you're angry. But I think I should make it up to you before your tail electrocutes someone."
"I'm serious, Liu Xiao."
"So am I."
In one swift movement, he wrapped his arms around you, drawing you into his long coat, which still held a faint chill from the rain. His scent-warm, subtle sandalwood-wrapped around your senses like a promise.
Your tail flicked once, then curled around his wrist involuntarily. He noticed.
"See?" he whispered against your temple. "She can't do that."
You huffed, stubborn, cheeks warm.
"And she doesn't purr when I touch her like this," he added, trailing his fingers lightly through the fur at the base of your tail.
Your breath hitched. "That's not fair."
"All's fair in love and tail envy."
You buried your face into his chest, mumbling something incoherent that only made him laugh again.
------------------
Later that night, tangled in the soft mess of blankets and each other, Liu Xiao held you with the kind of gentle possessiveness that belied his cold exterior. He played absentmindedly with your tail, curling it around his fingers like a ribbon.
"You know," he said, voice low, "I could hear your heartbeat all the way from the garden. It sped up the moment you saw me."
You poked his side. "Stop showing off."
"I'm just saying," he murmured. "Even if there were a hundred cats, or a thousand women, I'd still come home to the one whose heartbeat sounds like home."
Your tail twitched again. Not from jealousy. This time-from joy.
And as Liu Xiao pressed a kiss to your nape and murmured something about how warm you were, how soft, and how you needed to stay here forever-wrapped in his coat, his arms, and his heartbeat-you decided maybe next time, you'd let the cat have five more minutes.
Just not ten.
• Xia Fei
The golden haze of Bridon's sunset slanted across the windows of Xia Fei's shared apartment, casting long warm streaks of light across the hardwood floors and the soft cream throw you had wrapped yourself in. Your ears twitched under the wool-knit hoodie, tipped with velvet-black fur. A soft sigh escaped your lips as you buried yourself deeper into the couch cushions.
He was late. Again.
Modeling gigs, networking, brand meetings - Xia Fei had been swept up in the city's whirlwind ever since his photos hit the billboards downtown. You were proud of him, really. But that didn't mean you weren't lonely. Or touch-starved. Especially when your tail kept flicking in the way it did when you were anxious... or needy.
Your ears perked.
The sound of keys jingling. Door unlocking.
Then-
"Xiao Mao? (Kitten?)" Xia Fei's voice, warm and smooth, floated through the entryway. "I'm home."
"'Bout time," you called back, muffled under your blanket cocoon.
He chuckled and stepped into the living room. His modeling jacket slipped off his shoulders in one smooth motion - you caught a glimpse of his toned arms under the fitted black tee before he tossed it over a chair. His golden-orange eyes lit up when they landed on you.
"You've been pouting," he said, leaning over the couch, smirking as he kissed your forehead. "Your ears give you away."
"I wasn't pouting," you huffed. "I was... sulking. Which is very different."
"Ah, my mistake. Sulking, then." He slid down next to you, arm immediately hooking around your waist to pull you closer. "And your tail's twitching."
You froze.
He grinned.
"Don't start," you warned, cheeks heating up.
Xia Fei tilted his head, eyes narrowing with faux innocence. "Start what?" His hand ghosted along the base of your tail where it curled beneath your blanket.
Your breath hitched.
"You know what," you grumbled, trying to pull the blanket over your head. But his fingers slipped past the fabric, tracing gentle circles along your spine.
"Tell me what it means when your tail flicks like this," he murmured into your ear. "It's not just frustration. It's something else too... isn't it?"
"Xia Fei," you breathed, flustered.
"Do you know how cute you are when you try to hide it?" he whispered, nosing into the space beneath your ear. "And how warm you get when I play with it?"
You gave a small whimper and immediately smacked his chest. "Tease."
His laugh was husky, but not cruel. Never cruel. His hand slid from your tail to the small of your back, wrapping you up gently as he kissed your cheek again.
"I missed you," he confessed, voice softer now. "Every second today, all I wanted was to get home. To this. To you."
You blinked up at him, watching the cocky grin fade into something more sincere. Xia Fei always had a mask for the world - the ambitious model, the cool-headed physics major, the one who "only went for the best." But with you, his real self slipped through in moments like this. Unarmoured. Honest.
"I'm sorry I've been so busy," he added, rubbing his thumb over your waist. "You're more important than all of that."
Your tail gave an involuntary twitch.
"See?" he teased, grinning again. "I knew that gets to you."
"You're lucky I love you," you muttered, but melted into his embrace anyway, curling your tail around his thigh like an instinctive claim.
"I know," he replied, kissing the top of your head, "but I'll never take that for granted."
You sat there like that for a while - the sunset burning low behind the glass, the buzz of the city distant, your tail curling contentedly with every slow breath. Xia Fei stroked your ears gently, his fingers careful, reverent.
And though his modeling world was full of lights, cameras, and praise... it was here, buried in the soft fur of your tail and the press of your cheek against his chest, that he felt like he'd truly won something precious.
• Vein
Bridon was unusually warm today, and yet Vein still wore his long dark coat, red tassel earrings swinging as he wandered the upscale shopping mall alone. He hummed to himself like always, drawing a few glances from startled passersby. Maybe it was the sharp contrast of his untamed red-and-black hair or the air of unpredictable mischief that clung to him like a scent.
He ignored it all. His mind was on you.
You, his half-neko hybrid girlfriend, who just that morning had leapt into his arms wearing your favorite fuzzy socks, ears flicking with excitement over a new cat toy Xia Fei had dropped off as a joke. You had no idea he'd been planning a surprise of his own.
"Choker. Black leather. Gold bell," Vein mumbled to himself, tapping a finger against his bottom lip as he inspected display cases at the luxury jewelry boutique.
The attendant blinked. "Sir... Would you like the heart-shaped tag? Or round?"
"Heart," Vein replied instantly. "And...engrave it. 'Vein's property.'"
The poor attendant paused, flinched, then nodded with professional dread.
------------------
You were home, curled on the couch with your tail twitching contentedly under Vein's oversized hoodie. You sniffed the air as the elevator dinged - your nose knew that scent anywhere.
You padded to the door on socked feet. "You're late. I was going to attack your coat again."
"You mean like last time when you shed all over me and licked my cheek?"
"Exactly," you chirped proudly.
Vein chuckled, slipping off his shoes and leaning close to brush a kiss against your forehead. "Miss me that much, kitten?"
Your ears perked at the pet name. "Maybe."
You followed him around the penthouse like a shadow, but he kept one hand behind his back, refusing to let you peek. "What's in your hand?" you asked, tail swishing curiously.
"Wouldn't you like to know," he sing-songed. "Sit down, kitten. And no peeking until I say."
Your heart raced a little as you obeyed, sinking into the plush couch. When he sat across from you and pulled a small velvet box from his pocket, your breath caught in your throat.
"Oh my god," you whispered, eyes wide. "V-Vein..."
He tilted his head. "Hmm?"
You clasped your hands over your mouth. "Are you... Are you proposing?!"
There was a very long pause.
Then Vein burst out laughing. "What? No, no-oh my god, kitten, no."
You flushed deep red. "T-Then what's in the box?! It looks like a-like a ring box!"
He leaned forward, the velvet box cradled in his palm. "Open it."
You hesitated, then gently cracked the lid open...
Inside, nestled against black velvet, was a sleek black choker made of soft leather. A silver bell dangled in the center, and attached to it: a heart-shaped charm engraved with neat cursive letters.
'Vein's Property.'
Your ears twitched. "O-Oh."
"Do you like it?" he asked, almost too casual. "Saw it in a dream. Thought you'd look cute in it. Yours, mine, same difference."
You stared at the bell, cheeks flushed.
"Do you hate it?" Vein asked, suddenly serious. "You don't have to wear it. I can-"
"I love it," you whispered, already lifting your hair. "Put it on me?"
Vein's lips curved into that signature mischievous smile. He took the choker out and moved behind you, fingers brushing your nape as he clasped it on. The bell gave a soft jingle.
The moment was electric.
You turned, face glowing. "Do I look cute?"
"Mine," he murmured, pulling you close by the collar. "Absolutely mine."
You felt a purr rumble in your chest as you buried your face in his coat. "I still want a ring someday though," you mumbled.
Vein laughed. "Greedy kitten. One collar at a time."
------------------
Later that Night...
You sat curled on his lap as you both watched reruns of some awful Bridon soap opera. He absentmindedly flicked the bell on your choker with one finger, smirking each time it jingled.
"Hey," you mumbled, half-asleep. "You never told me what your dream was about."
"Hm?" He tilted his head.
"You said you saw the collar in a dream."
He paused, eyes glinting with something unreadable. "In the dream, you wore it and purred whenever I touched it. I woke up annoyed that I didn't buy it yet."
You nuzzled into his neck. "That's so weirdly romantic."
Vein grinned. "Better than a ring?"
You pretended to think, tail brushing over his legs. "If the ring has your name on it? Maybe."
He smirked. "Noted."

𓈒⠀𓂃⠀⠀˖⠀𓇬⠀˖⠀⠀𓂃⠀𓈒
Bridon.
You had always dreamed of studying in the prestigious University in Bridon, and the universe answered your wish with a scholarship offer.
Grateful and excited, you landed at Bridon Airport, the city buzzing with unfamiliar sights and sounds.
After clearing customs, you found a café in the terminal and sat down to text your mother:
"I just landed safely. I'll message you when i reach my apartment."
You slipped your phone into your pocket and took a sip of your coffee, enjoying the warmth after the long flight.
You were minding your business as you sipped your coffee until you heard some commotion.
"Give me back my phone!"
You peered through the glass door, a man was throwing punches at a young black-haired man as he doudged. The man grabbed the blackhead by the collars and was about to punch but it was stopped by another young man.
He was tall and dressed in all black, he also wore round glasses and black hat. He had dark blue hair under his hat.
You could only see their side faces.
You didn't mind them and finished your coffee and threw the empty coffee cup in a bin.
"Time to go."
With your suitcase in your hand, you searched for the airport exit.
10 minutes passed.
You were at an unknown location inside the airport.
You stared at the huge map of the airport like it was some ancient puzzle.
"Hmm.. So i need to turn left and then to right..."
Apparently, you were never good with airport layouts. You sighed and turned left-and smacked straight into someone's chest. You stumbled back and landed on your butt.
"Oww~"
You placed your hand on your nose. It hurt.
"You okay?"
It was a man's voice. It was smooth and calm. You looked up, blinking.
It was the same man from that fight.
The hat guy.
You blushed as his dark blue eyes met yours behind those glasses. He smiled gently and extended a hand.
"Ah, yes... I'm okay. Sorry for bumping into you..."
You said, taking his hand. His grip was warm and steady, and as he helped you up, you noticed a small tattoo between his collarbone
"Don't worry." He said. "It was my fault anyway. I'm Liu Xiao. I go to an university here."
You dusted off your clothes.
"I'm Y/n. So... You're a foreign student too."
"Yeah." He nodded. "You know, i came here to pick someone up. I can give you a ride if you need"
He offered.
"I appreciate that, but i don't want to trouble you. Besides my friend's gonna pick me up anyway."
You said and looked at your watch,
"Umm... I need to go. It was nice to meet you, Liu Xiao. Bye"
"Bye." He waved his hand.
"There you are. I was looking for you"
Liu Xiao heard someone's voice behind him. It was Vein.
"Ok then, shall we head off?"
"Yeah"
------------------
It has been two days since you arrived here in Bridon.
You were staying at an apartment that your father had arranged for you. It was nice.
You were busy with unpacking all of your stuff and decorating your room, that you forget to greet your next door neighbours.
And today was your first day at the University and the people were here were nice to you. You had made some friends and your deskmate, Xiao Yun was quite relatable to you.
She was bubbly and easy to talk to and it was a coincidence that you two lived in the same apartment but on different floors.
During the break time, you headed to the library alone, craving some quiet and a good book.
As you wandered through the aisles, humming softly, you turned a corner-
-and bumped into someone. Again.
"I'm so sorry about that! I didn't notice....you...."
You looked at the person and your words slowed down, "Liu Xiao? What are you doing here?"
Liu Xiao just smiled. "As i said at the airport, i study here... And it looks like we're going to bump into each other more often than i thought"
You blinked and blushed, feeling embarrassed, "ahaha. I think so." You nervously laughed. "So, you like reading books?"
Liu Xiao nodded, his smile still in place. "Yeah. I'm sure you do"
"Yeah. Thriller novels, mostly. I was looking for that aisle." You said, scanning the shelves.
"They're five aisles down." He said with a knowing smile.
"Thanks. See you later." You replied, walking off quickly. But fate wasn't done with you yet.
You found the shelf-but of course, the book you wanted was on the top row.
You tried to reach for the book, even tip-toeing.
"Fuck, am i this short or is this shelf is so tall?..."
You muttered to yourself. Soon you lost your balance on your tip-toes and then somebody caught you by the waist and hand reached up to the book you tried to take.
"Careful now."
"Huh?" You tilted your head back to see Liu Xiao. You blushed. His arm was still around you. Your heart was pounding in your chest
"The Lost City Murders. That's an interesting book" (The book's title is made up by me😅)
Liu Xiao read the book's title and gave it to you and let you go.
You took the book from his hand. In the process, your fingers brushed against his.
"Thank you." You said, feeling a bit flustered. He smiled. "Well the break's all most over. I'll walk you back to the class."
"Uhh..." You didn't know what to say, your mind still processing what just happened. But you followed him anyway.
"What's your next class?" He asked. His voice was smooth.
"Hmm, i think history."
"I have history too. Guess we're going to be in the same class then." He chuckled.
You just stared at him, how can this guy look so... Calm and handsome at the same time.
------------------
Later that evening, you were walking back to your apartment with Xiao Yun. She was animatedly telling you about the best places around Bridon.
"I'm telling you, that restraunt is awesome. And there is this hot guy who works there. What was his name again... Ah, Xia Fei. We have to go there sometime!"
Xiao Yun said excitedly.
"Oh really? Sounds fun. Let's go this weekend." You replied, smiling at her excitement.
Once you reached your building, you both got into the elevator. Her floor was on second and yours on the fifth.
"Catch you later!" Xiao Yun waved as she stepped off the elevator.
....
You stepped out of the elevator and walked down the corridors to your room.
You were thinking about Liu Xiao and how you kept bumping into him.
But there was this thing that made you drawn to him- he was mysterious and intriguing.
'Ah, i didn't even ask his number...'
You were so deep in your thoughts that you didn't notice someone standing in the hallway-
-until you bumped into a firm chest.
'Fuck. How many times i have to bump into someone. It's been like this since i came to Bridon-' You cursed mentally but soon heard that smooth, unmistakable voice.
"Are you okay, y/n? Seems like fate like throwing us into each other."
It was Liu Xiao. His blue eyes behind those round glasses staring at you.
'What is he doing here' You thought but composed yourself.
"Ahaha, i guess so." You laughed, cheeks turning warm. "What are you doing here?"
"I live here. I was heading to my room until you literally ran into me." He chuckled softly as he opened his door.
Red hues covered your cheek feeling embarrassed and nervously laughed. But then you noticed something.
"Wait... You're my neighbour?!"
You exclaimed, your eyes wide. You felt so happy that he was your neighbour.
"Looks like it." He smiled, "another twist of fate, huh? Looking forward to bumping into you more often, y/n."
With that, he stepped inside and gently shut the door.
You stood frozen for a second before sighing.
'I didn't greet him when i came here two days ago!... Great y/n. Just great..'
Back in your room, you quickly showered and wore fresh clothes which consisted of a comfy black hoodie and pants.
You decided to make cookies to give him.
An hour later, your kitchen smelled delicious. You packed a few warm cookies in a container, checked your reflection one last time, and headed next door.
You knocked, heart pounding. After a short moment, the door opened-and there he was.
He looked like he just took a shower. His dark blue hair was damp. He wore a plain black t-shirt and pants, casual yet unfairly attractive.
"Hey there," he said, smiling, "Need something?"
Your voice faltered a bit. "Uhh... I made some cookies. I was busy unpacking that i never properly greeted you when i moved in, so... here."
"Thanks." He accepted the container, and as he did, his fingers brushed against yours sending a spark straight up your spine.
"Why don't you come in? We can have them together."
You blinked. "Oh, i don't want to bother you, really. I just-"
Before you could finish, he gently took your wrist and tugged you inside.
You blinked, surprised, but let him lead you in. He disappeared into the kitchen wuth the cookies.
"Feel free to sit." He called over his shoulder.
You sat on the sofa, trying to calm your racing heart. You looked at your wrist which he grabbed. Your ears went red.
You glanced around-it was tidy, warm and the place smelled like him. This was your first time being in a guy's territory.
Liu Xiao returned with a plate of cookies and sat beside you. Close.
"Here" he said, placing the plate on the coffee table.
You froze for a second but shook your head.
You both picked a cookie but instead of eating, you watched him take a bite first.
"H-how is it? Is it good?" You asked anxiously.
"They're more than good. I really like them." He said with a smile that made your stomach flip.
You finally took a bite, relaxing a little. The conversation flowed easily after that. You found yourself laughing, sharing small things, and learning more about each other.
....
"So, you play chess?" You asked, nibbling on your last cookie.
"Yeah." He replied, and then suddenly leaned in, brushing the corner of your lips with his thumb.
You froze.
He pulled back slowly, licking the crumble off his thumb. "You had something here." He said
Your face flushed. "Y-you could've just told me..."
He laughed softly. "But it wouldn't have been as cute."
'Wait... Did he just call me CUTE!!!'
You stared at him, flustered
"Me? Cute?" You pointed to yourself.
"Yeah" he said simply, his voice low, "is that hard to believe?"
He leaned in and-
"-Mph"
Your breath caught in your throat as Liu Xiao’s lips met yours—soft, warm, and sure.
The kiss was gentle at first, but it sent a ripple of something electric through your whole body. You felt your eyes flutter shut as you leaned into it, heart racing uncontrollably.
Then, with a smooth motion, his arms slid around your waist and he pulled you gently into his lap.
You gasped softly against his lips, but didn’t pull away. His hands were steady, grounding you as your hands found their way to his shoulders.
You felt like you were floating, the world narrowing down to just the two of you.
When the kiss broke, he rested his forehead against yours, his breath warm against your skin. His glasses had slid slightly down his nose, but he didn’t seem to care.
“You have no idea what you’re doing to me,” he murmured, voice low and husky.
Your cheeks were red. “I-I wasn’t trying to do anything…”
He smiled, his fingers lightly tracing a path down your arm.
“That’s the thing, y/n. You didn’t even have to try.”
Your heart felt like it was about to burst. The way he was looking at you—like you were the only person in the world—made your stomach twist in the most beautiful way.
“I like you,” you blurted, the words tumbling out before you could stop them. “I mean—I think I’ve liked you since we first met. Even if I kept bumping into you like a total klutz.”
He chuckled, the sound soft and intimate. Then he tilted your chin up gently with his fingers.
“I love you,” he said, eyes meeting yours without hesitation. “From the moment you fell into my arms at the airport, I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
You blinked, stunned. “You... you love me?”
“I do.” He nodded, brushing a loose strand of hair from your face. “And I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.”
Something warm bloomed in your chest, so full and bright it almost hurt. “I love you too,” you whispered, barely believing it yourself.
He kissed you again—this time slower, deeper—and you melted into him, your arms wrapping around his neck.
The warmth of his body, the quiet hum of the apartment, the faint scent of cookies and coffee in the air—it all felt so incredibly right.
You had no idea what the future held. But sitting there in his arms, feeling his heartbeat against yours, you knew one thing for certain:
This was just the beginning.

My poor Vein🥺. If I'm somehow transported into Link Click, I'll be happy to show Vein all the kind things...
Vein offered Xia Fei kindness and security in a world that treated him with cruelty.
Vein became a safe haven and source of security to him.
Vein is used to people looking at him with fear, disgust or maybe begrudging respect. He is not used to a look of affection and trust.
