Quidditch Match that I enjoyed in Chapter 8: The Quidditch World Cup

All that muggle repelling charms does make senses, wizards and witches hideaway but what about all the noise that these events will cause? How can ministry people stop the noise from reaching muggle?

Let me get this straight, if you don't have tickets, you don't get to watch these matches ever! You have to be present to watch these world cup matches, then what about all the other people who couldn't afford or make it to the world cup? Can't a radio station or something broadcast these matches to those people ( aka Molly Weasley)?

Honestly, the Stadium is magnificent!!!

Finally, Dobby is mentioned after a whole year of absence... and Winky is cute! Just like Dobby, I want to hug her!

Lucius Malfoy, this dude has some connections! I think with that donation to the hospital and his familiarity with Fudge, he wants to get back on Hogwarts board of Governors. And if he is doing that then it is a good strategy, Draco should take notes. Speaking of Draco why did Draco not make fun of Weasley and company for their very Slytherin looks during world cup match?

Honestly, Draco should learn from his dad about sass, Lucius has sass!

After reading that this is 422 Quidditch World cup, I am quite interested in the history of Quidditch World Cup...

Veelas are really scary and does that Veela effect has on lesbians and bisexuals as well? Mr. Weasley and Hermione were not affected by Veela, does it mean Ginny was? Does it mean, the text confirmed that Ginny is in fact a bisexual?! I don't care, what people think, I think this confirms that Ginny, is in fact, a Bisexual!!!

I want to write all players' names, but I am lazy and they are useless for later in the story except Krum! I completely forgot that Krum's first name is Viktor. Why do all Viktor-named characters have to be hot? Cue: Victor Nikiforov!

Is there no anti-Veeela spell or charm or Portion? Especially for those referees... And did those Leprechauns show the middle figure to Veela?

I am not gonna lie, it was a really well-done Quidditch match! I am happy Fred and George won the bet!!!

Chekhov's Gun or Political Agenda, In Chapter 7: Bagman and Crouch

If the last chapter was an information dump then this chapter is a set-up chapter, a Chekhov's gun! So much for this chapter is just set for the end of this book and for the future books...

Basil from Ministry of Magic is wearing Poncho and a Kilt, seamless blending, people! What happens to used Portkeys? Do they become just another normal muggle things?

Ministry people erased some memory of Mr.Roberts, why couldn't they just easily make him go away with that muggle repelling charms? Why do Ministry people have to tamper with human consciousness? Do excessive use of memory charm on the brain, especially on a muggle brain can have some effect or harm on humans? Why do Ministry people insist on doing things the hard way?

Sometimes I find Harry Potter as the protagonist a boring character. What I mean is, he certainly has a very interesting backstory but there are times when he is completely oblivious. For example, in the last book, it was Hermione's Time-Turner, and on other hand, this particular journey would have benefitted if we would have gotten Hermione's or Ron's point of view.

Wizards and Witches own all kinds of exotic things, for sure. Peacocks, Sundial, etc

This chapter is a subtle realization that Harry Potter's world is in fact a Wizarding World! Having a world cup tournament was a nice touch for us, readers to know this world is filled with all kinds of wizards and witches from all kinds of places. Sadly, we only get to see the final match and not the whole tournament. Although, I do think writing such a tournament would be useless for the narrative as it is just pure world-building and nothing else. Hence, when I complete re-reading all 7 books, I'll go and read these tournaments and matches on Pottermore or Lexicon!

Enter Viktor Krum, only in the name, but he sure will be Ron's nightmare for the coming year!!!! The irony is Ron seems to really like Krum here...

We get a glimpse of Oliver Wood!!! I thought we won't get to see him once he is out of Hogwarts, but I am glad he is here. Basically Puddlemere United reserve team is the reserve team for the British and Irish Quidditch team, and Oliver is part of it, good for you Oliver Wood.

Harry has a crush on Cho, but does Harry knows he has a crush on Cho? Honestly, I cringe a little every time I have to read or write Cho's name...

How come Ron doesn't know other schools, he has 5 older brothers, 2 of which have been full-fledged adults for some time now, how did they didn't tell Ron about the Triwizard tournament?

Not only Quidditch Tournament matches but these different types of wizarding schools sounds intriguing, I'll be researching them after I finish my re-read...!

Mr. Weasley is having fun. He is head of his department. And there are so many ministers introduced here in the small time frame. Cuthbert Mockridge head of Goblin Liaison Office, Gilbert Wimple Committee on Experimental Charms, Arnold Peasegood Obliviator member of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, Bode and Croaker from Department of mysteries, they are also Unspeakables, what Unspeakables? What do they do? There is some witch named Agatha Timms who has eel farm...which is not very wizardlike, is it? Ali Bashir, wants carpets in Britain, but why was it is banned in the first place? All of this is pure information overload for me... But so much fun!!!!! I want to know more about these people and this Wizarding World...

Ludo Bagman looks like a wizard version of Jerry Seinfeld of "Bee Movie". On another hand, Barty Crouch can speakers 150 languages, he is still a human, right? How can he speak so many languages?

Mr.Weasley and the party arrived at the dawn at the tent, so, what did they all do after Bagman and Crouch dumped their plot points? That means I can go and create a bunch of headcanons about their stay in a magical tent...!

Info dump, the chapter...Chapter 6: The Portkey

Why Mrs. Weasley is not going to the world cup? And Is Mrs. Weasley gonna buy supplies for Harry as well?

Does Lovegood, as in Luna's father, live near Weasley's? And who are these Fawcetts? I feel like they will be important...

The whole party of 10 is going to stay at the world cup for whole 2 weeks? I am not a sports person but is that how long a sporting event goes?

There are many means of traveling in the Wizarding World: There is Hogwarts Express, Broomsticks, Flying cars (enchanted vehicle), Knight Bus, Floo network, Apparition, and now Portkey. I live in a very crowded city, I wish Apparition was a real thing. It would have made traveling a lot more convenient for me...

Honestly, there are parents like Amos Diggory!!! With that our journey begins towards Quidditch World Cup or towards the political sphere, only time will tell...?!

Stop everything NOW, Enter Bill and Charlie...! In the Chapter 5: Weasley's Wizard Wheezes

We meet Bill and Charlie! I will admit that I have a huge crush on Charlie and Billy. Especially Charlie! Charlie is that bad boy that everybody thinks Sirius Black is.

According to Harry's description, Charlie is like Twins are short and stockier than Percy and Ron. Simply speaking, Charlie has muscles!!!! And Harry had a little crush on Bill, I mean who wouldn't? If Charlie is a bad boy archetype then Bill is a guitarist from a Rock band plus he has an ear-ring, a total hottie!

Talking about the appearance, Ron and Percy are supposed to be tall and thin. in fact, Ron is taller than the twins and later in the story, Ron is actually taller than Harry. I like to think Ginny is the combination of all these Weasley's brother's best features!

If I read correct than Harry neither hugged Ron nor Hermione, I find that weird. On other hand, my big brain just realized that Oliver Wood and Percy Weasley were in same year and house!

Pigwideon is such a cute name, good job, Ginny!

Mr. Weasley got tickets because he helped Otto Bagman, brother of Ludo Bagman. Mr. Weasley also got somebody from Ministry to open Floo network in Dursley's house. Hence, let's talk about the Ministry of Magic, and what's up with all the "helping out"? I came to the conclusion from the last book that they are indeed useless. However, how much do they actually do "helping out" to each other? Is that "helping out" even legal? more importantly, how does that "helping out" is paid off? I mean last year Weasley's won the lottery, this year Mr. Weasley got not just 1 but 10 tickets for the world cup, which is very hard to get by. How? In Ministry of Magic, is something happening under the table that we as readers are not privy to?

Unpopular Opinion: Sometimes I think the whole Weasley family is too kind to Harry but they feel more of pity than kindness, especially Mr. and Mrs. Weasley.

Honeysuckle and Elderflower wine, Isn't it a muggle things? And Mrs. Weasley wears wrist watch, I find that so weird. First it was Harry than in last book it was Ron. Now its a pureblood witch, who is wearing a wrist watch, that doesn't sit right with me.

Crookshank likes to be around Weasley's, so does her owner!

Does Percy live in Burrow or did he moved out? The twins prank on Percy was funny, not gonna lie!

The movie did it better...On to Chapter 4: Back to Burrow!

Thank god, Dursley's section was not included in movies. This is just blatant body-shaming.

Ferrari and PlayStation reading such things in Harry Potter are a little alarming. In my mind, Harry Potter world/ Wizarding World is perpetually stuck in the fancy medieval era. And I am about to get very nitpicky. PlayStation was introduced in the UK on 25 September 1995. We are canonically in the middle of August 1995. Dudley is also not smart enough to do the research on such nerdy things. So how can Dudley ask for something that hasn't even been in the market?

Having said that, this is the thing I absolutely love about Harry Potter/ Wizarding World, they can be part of our world. Canonically they are part of our world!

Dursley's are abusing Harry, look down on people and now they are just insolent. I despised the conversation that happened between Vernon and Petunia about Mr. Weasley.

Arthur Weasley in the movie is so perfect, even now while reading, his face, and mannerisms come to my mind! bravo, Mark Williams!

I will play a devil's advocate now. I hate Dursley's. They are bad people. Somebody from muggle society should have called Social Services on them a very long time ago. But their fear about wizards is kind of justified and is not helped by Mr. Weasley here.

When Harry comes home, it is revealed that a Mass Murder wizard is Harry's Godfather. In this chapter when Mr. Weasley arrives he brake their chimney and cause commotion in their living room. And his sons harm Dudley severely (Just like Hagrid did, the very first Wizard Dursley's ever met) just before leaving through a broken chimney (that is very much a Slytherin behavior!). So, my defense for Dursley's is that every wizard they have come across has tried to harm them and distraught their life. Which gives Dursley's chance to be cautious of the Wizarding community at large.

Pig is so cute! Chapter 3: The Invitation

The Knickerbockers... How on earth...These are so much material for bullying plus Dudley's description.

Harry is eating cake for a breakfast, how is eating cake for breakfast is superior to grapefruit? Since we are on the topic of food, don't British people eat anything other than pies and cakes? Just eating pies and cakes could be horrible to their teeth and health. Isn't Beans on Toast a vary British Breakfast, can no one think to send Harry canned beans and some Toast? Especially Hermione's parents...

Hermione, how does Hermione communicate with Harry? As far as I know, Hermione doesn't have an owl, is she using a muggle post?

If Hermione is at the Burrow, couldn't she have helped Mrs. Weasley with the post (to Dursleys)? It was funny but a little nonsensical...

Owl Post, Can a wizard send letters to two or more people (or places) at the same time with just one owl? Does Owl have the ability to distinguish between different places? Pig is cute and Hedwig is a sweetheart!

My Romione heart...! Hermione is at Burrow before Harry! It must be her first time at Burrow, how long has she been there? And Ginny and Hermione's friendship!!! At last, Hermione will have some female friends!!!

Percy is working at the Department of international magical corporations sounds like the real-world's External Affairs Department. Now there is two government employee in the Weasley family!

Harry called Dursely's muggle, it is a bit weird that Harry referred to Dursely's as a bunch of muggles. It almost sounds like Harry is degrading them for being muggle... He sounds like Hagrid from the Sorcerer's stone.

Timeline: Last week of June is the end of Harry's third year in Hogwarts. Between the end of June and the middle of August Peter found Voldemort and came to the Riddle House. Now, it is Saturday when Harry is writing back to Ron. From Sunday onwards Harry will have only two weeks to start his fourth year.

Whenever Harry is happy and not stressed I feel so great. The boy needs it!

In the past, I have said, that books are a notch better than movies. But after reading some of the narration I doubt that statement. I am happy that so much of narration were cut off in the movies. The narration in this particular chapter contains so much body-shaming, it is truly alarming.

BODY-SHAMING IS BAD! I just wanted to say that. We all know the whole Dursley family is portrayed as bad people. Calling Dudley a young whale, Vernon's face as the black currant ice cream is body-shaming. They are bad people because they abuse a child and look down on people who are different from they are. That is the reason why we should hate them, not because they are fat and ugly. But this text implies that we should be disgusted by the way they look. That is very much a Body-shaming! I know these are fictional characters but these characters and these books have huge effect on real life.

Let me be clear, I don't like Dursleys because they abused Harry and look down on other people. Their appearance has nothing to do with my feelings about my dislike of them.

PlayStation!!! Wizarding World has a PlayStation, Ahhhh!!! On to Chapter 2: The Scar!

Harry woke up because of the dream, however, it was not a dream. It did really happen 200 miles away from Harry. Is it that weird link between Harry and Voldemort that has already started? Is it already started because Voldemort is near or because Voldemort has started to come into power? Which is it? Will I get any answers to these questions?

St. Brutus's Secure Center for Incurably Criminal Boys... WHAT?!?!?! I don't feel the need to explain myself...

Harry does know his best friends, their reactions would be the same as Harry described...

Fred and Gorge are both 16 years now. So this is their sixth year in Hogwarts. I never knew how old twins were from Ron and Harry. I just realized the twins are two years older than Ron. Maths is not my strong subject... again I don't feel the need to explain myself...

Dursleys have been horrible to Harry. No new thing there but I have to say they have abused Harry in the past especially in the chamber of secrets. Harry should not have come back to live with Dursleys after the Chamber of secrets. Now that he has a Godfather...

Is Sirius really on holiday? Where is Sirius? I don't want Sirius to suffer but I can't imagine while Harry is in his own hell Sirius is sipping cocktails on the beach...

The most important information we get from this chapter is, Dudley has PlayStation! Which year are we in again????

We start the action with Chapter 1: The Riddle House, In the new book Goblet of Fire!

We are diving right into the action with Voldemort and his minion. This chapter also introduced Nagini for the first time. Not gonna lie, she scared the shit out of me!

Who is the wealthy man that has The Riddle house now? The Riddle house has gone through a couple of owners. So, it could be one of Death Eaters or Voldermort himself, could it?

I think Frank Bryce has PTSD.

Voldemort is in The Riddle house in August. Hogwarts school year ends in June. Does it mean Peter was able to track Voldemort within a month?

Why does Voldemort call Peter Pettigrew Wormtail? How does Voldemort know about Peter's Marauder's name?

Peter milk Nagini. How? Can snakes lactate? How can Peter lactate Nagini?

Peter is sulky because Voldemort doesn't trust him. The Bastard has some audacity, I hate Peter! With burning hot passion!

I completely forgot about Bertha Jorkins, what did Voldemort find from her?

Nagini is 12 feet long snake and she is curled up on a rug, I find that utterly cute!

With a flash (see what I did there) we launch into action for Quidditch World Cup!

Headcanons about Prisoner of Azkaban...!

Ginny was a bit lonely after Chamber of Secrets. Luna saw that and approached her.

Later in the mid-term Ginny stood up to a bully for Luna, that is where Ginny called Luna her friend. That statement surprised Luna. That's how Ginny and Luna became friends.

By the end of the year, Luna and Ginny were best friends!

Ron later said sorry to Hermione for leaving her alone on holiday.

Ron started to spend time with Hermione, just like on Christmas, Hermione studying and Ron eating. Just chilling, Doing everything, and doing nothing at the same time!

Ron and Hermione became comfortable around each other after Ron forgive Hermione/Crookshanks for Scabber's "death"...

Parvati Patil in the future became a Seer. Less crazy, more matter-of-fact Seer.

Sirius Black is nice to people who he likes but he can be very mean to other people.

Sirius quickly forgot Hermione's name. But Sirius liked Ron for his bravery and friendship with the other two!

When Snape entered Sheirking Shack, he was scared.

Snape was scared that Lupin might turn into a werewolf and harm these children.

McGonagall and Snape both can't stand Luna from the first year.

However, Flitwick's favorite student is Luna.

Ginny tried to console Hermione after Ron got mad at her for Scabber's "death".

Hermione got sweets for Ginny from Hogsmeade. But Ron forgot to take sweets for Ginny.

Fred and Gorge buy sweets from Hogsmeade for Ginny since Ginny started to go to school. Later until Ginny started to go to Hogsmeade on her own, both Twins and Hermione used to get Sweets for Ginny. Neither of knows the other does that...

Hermione met Luna for the first time when she gave sweets to Ginny.

Ginny spoke with Hermione after Gryffindor won Quidditch Cup.

McGonagall felt bad for degrading Trelawney on Christmas. As compensation, she got a rather nice New Year's gift for Trelawney.

Fred and George wanted to bully Ron after Scabber's "death" but it was Ginny who told them a big "NO".

At that moment Fred and George were reminded of Molly; their mother in Ginny. Later, it is only Ginny who can stop the twins from doing something harmful. But she chooses not to.

Remaining thoughts on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban!

This book left me with so many warm feels! Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets were definitely children's books, you can't say the same for Prisoner of Azkaban. This book might be my favorite so far in the 'hp a day' reread. Harry Potter series might not be a full Young-Adult genre yet however it is just entering that, and it did with as much poise as Firebolt!

This book got us so many Magical Creatures and new spells! The world-building of this book is beautifully done. Although a little jarring at times but cute nonetheless. Kappas derived from Japanese mythology, Grindylow from English folklore, Red Caps, Hinkypunk derived from Scottish folklore, and so much more. And creatures like Werewolf (and true wolf) were main plot points of the storyline.

We also got so many charms and spells... so many of them! I am so bloody glad for it! Every time a new charm or spell was introduced I made note of them, I want to list them all here however then this blog will be longer than it already is. Having said that I am happy about this development!

World-building did not stop at just spells and creatures, it stretch from children's games to the political dominion of Wizarding World. Since we're already on political dominion, I should make myself clear, Ministry of Magic is useless! Useless something drastic happens and Percy does make some SYSTEMATIC change, I don't think my opinion will change!

Since Percy is mentioned let's go through other Weasleys', shall we? Ginny is very few times mentioned but it seems she still has a crush on Harry but she has managed her crush very well. And Dementors have the same effects on her as much as they have on Harry. Then there is Fred and George, they are way better brothers to Harry than to Ron. For crying out loud, they gave Harry the Marauder's Map...

The traits of Slytherins are Cunningness and resourcefulness. Draco Malfoy, a Slytherin from a Pure-blood Slytherin family, downed a Holloween costume to scare Harry in Quidditch matches...Hence, Draco is in Slytherin House for the same reason as Harry is in Gryffindor. If you know then you know, I won't expand on it...

Hermione Granger, what a fucking great character! From this book onwards she is actually coming onto her own. She wanted to study, she did exactly that but when she thought a subject is not teaching her any value then she was brave enough to walk out of it. By the end of the book, she also learned that she indeed bite off more than she can chew. Also, her matter-of-fact thinking, her bravery, her love and dedication(for studies), her snobbishness, and all shine through each and every chapter.

All the good things aside, I do have to say, this book highlighted her shortfalls as a witch and a human. She is a loner, yes, she is! If Harry and Ron wouldn't have saved her from a troll in the first year then she wouldn't have been their friend, in fact, she wasn't their friend in the beginning! Hermione's dealing with Lavender's Rabbit's death, was more like "I am not like other girls" dealing. She is quickly becoming "I am not like other girls" girl, "she is different" girl, "she likes to read books" girl, "she doesn't know how/ doesn't like make-up" girl, "she is one of the boys" girl, if you know then you know! Hermione doesn't have any friends (female and others) other than Ron and Harry. She DESPERATELY needs Ginny and Luna in her life. Honestly... I need Ginny and Luna in Hermione's life. Movies have made Hermione a one-man army hero. and she is indeed a hero however she is a 13-year-old girl, she needs people in her life that can show her the wonders of life (and female friendship)! I hope I don't have the Mandela effect, Hermione and Ginny become truly great friends and we will get to see how awesome female friends can be in future books...

Hermione's relationship with Ron had so many ups and downs. I loved every part of it, even those when Ron and Hermione were at the cross. Hermione stood up for her pet and Ron did the same thing and Harry got his first test at being a third wheel to his best friends!

Since we are on the topic of Ron and Hermione, let me rant about the movie. Everybody, I mean everybody (even YouTuber Nerwriter1 has a video on it) has put "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and the best one in movies ranking. Honestly, I understand why is that. The director is an Oscar winner, and the visuals are beautiful, the music is heavenly. However, story, the characters were butchered! Sirius is not a Rock star bad boy, he is a desperate Godfather who wants to connect with his Godson. Hermione is not a one-man army hero, she is a hardworking intellectual. Ron is not a jokester, he is a brave and loyal best friend who stands up for his best friend in front of mass murder. Snape has a lot more importance to the story than just appearing at the last minute in the third act. Having said that Remus Lupin might be the only character that got this movie right. Other than every character is pretty much butchered to fit for the movie. It should not have bothered me but it did! Because this movie affected future movies massively. The characters like Ron and Hermione were sacrificed. Ron's character in movies is ruined from now on but Hermione is a totally different character in the movies and in the books. So, every time I read any fanfics, I can easily identify which is the movie Hermione and the book Hermione. and surprise surprise; the movie Hermione is a lot more written than the book Hermione... Emma Waston is good and all but Hermione Granger in the book will always have my heart!

Coming back to the book, Sirius and his twist is not really a surprise to me or to anybody yet it is done comprehensively. There are reveals after reveals, twist after twist, loyalties tested among friends. Every reader's view is changed after the first read, what you know is not always the whole story. More than that Harry has something now that he did not have in the last two books. A family! Harry has his Godfather! Sirius Black! He might be on run but dear god, I am so happy he is here!

That has me thinking about the importance of that brief interaction between Sirius and Harry. Harry's only linking to his parents. So of course Sirius has a great effect on Harry. However, Harry picked up some negative things from Sirius. For example, Harry's hatred for Snape stepped up a notch because of Sirius's hatred for Snape. Sirius also indirectly taught Harry his first lesson in 'disregard in authority'. Let me explain, "I thought you'd come and help your friend. Your father would have done the same for me," said Sirius when Harry came to save Ron. That's nice and all but Sirius is still Mass Murder if he wasn't Harry's Godfather and a real DEATH EATER, what were the chances of these three 13 years old students have lived through the night? That little seed of not looking for any teachers or adults in crisis was always there in Harry but Sirius solidified that.

Harry in the last two books has done enough disregarding the authorities on his own. In Sorcerer's stone, he thought Snape wants the stone. So with his friends went on his own without listening to Professor McGonagall. In the second book, he thought Draco was a Slytherin heir. So, he again went on his own. In both cases, he and his friends ended up in the hospital wing. See, Harry doesn't NEED to learn that we have to question the authorities, he ALREADY does that (with as much grace as of newborn deer) yet Sirius, here, has indirectly taught Harry that authorities should not be trusted, going a step up to not only question the authorities but degrade them. It is not helped that later where Harry has to (because of Dumbledore's plan) take a bunch of Dementors all alone without any other adult, ALONE! FACING DEMENTORS! Thank god Harry is a talented wizard...

Here I will make my own point moot... well, I guess, Sirius was right, Cornelius Fudge (the ultimate authority, Minister of Magic) was ready to sacrifice an innocent man without listening to any reason. What I am trying to say is that there are many causalities that could be avoided if Harry and his friends had a bit less disregard for authorities. With all that said, newfound distrust in authorities, Harry, Hermione, and Ron, our golden trio will still trust Dumbledore, unfortunately...

This is a very small thing however in chapter 12 when Snape substituted for Lupin, the interactions between Snape and his students were somehow heart-touching to me. I can't really explain it well but the rapport among them was a bit unpleasant but familiar nonetheless!

We end as we start in Chapter 22: Owl Post Again

It is a nice touch that the Time-travelling book should end the way it starts. Harry and Hermione need sleep after what they went through in the last chapter.

All of my Pro Snape opinions just went to the dustbin in this chapter. He is acting very childish! Snape is frustrated I understand but honestly, I want calm and deadly Snape, clam Snape is a lot scarier than tranrum Snape.

As it turns out Dumbledore did pay attention to Professor Trelawney's about her prediction. But does it really matter if Professor Trelawney's prediction (only two) has come to true? Because Divination has negative contention so far in the book. Professor Trelawney (and Divination) has been made fun of with every opportunity, their quote and quote prediction is very vague and dubious. So, I can't really take Professor Trelawney any more seriously than Hermione does...

What the hell is "Debt on life"? I mean I understand the way Dumbledore explained it. So, Snape had "life debt" because Sirius played a nasty prank on Snape. But in return, Snape tried to save Harry's life in his first year in Hogwarts. Now coming on to Peter, does Peter knows that he owns his life to Harry now? Or more importantly, does Voldemort knows about this "life debt" of Peter? And another important question, what about healers in Wizarding World, they must save humans' lives left and right. So does it mean every time any healer saves a wizard or witch's life they create a debt of life? How? How does it work? I am making this way more complicated than it should be...

Percy's dedication to making some changes in the Ministry of Magic is very admirable. Honestly sane and a lot more practical than whatever Dumbledore has planned. He has seen what his father has to go through in Ministry so he at least knows the day-to-day workings of Ministry. He has a Muggleborn girlfriend that he really likes (at least that's what I got from the text), so he knows at least a little about Minorities in his world. It does make sense he has some systematic changes in Ministry for the betterment of everybody in his world.

An important question, Did Snape really try to fail Harry? Snape is a mean person. I do think he would have tried that.

Third-year in a row and probably the last time we will ever care, but Gryffindor has won the House cup along with the Quidditch Cup!

Ron is right, Hermione should have told his only best friends about her struggles and studies. Hermione is not capable of handling 11 studies of subjects on her own. She doesn't realize this but she has really great friends and she should use them more and hopefully she should know better from now on.

Ron is a brilliant character. His little act of asking for approval of Crookshak's for his new owl was beyond sweet! He wants Harry to come live in Burrow. Why he did not ask Hermione, though? Sirius got Ron an owl, which was again sweet!

I don't know why but I find Pets doing bank transactions in Wizarding World extremely weird. I do think I am being very nit-picky. However how come Goblins did not realize that it was Sirius Black's bank account? Was the Ministry of Magic not informed when a huge amount of money was debited from a Mass Murder's (who is on run) bank account?

Sirius's permission letter to let Harry allow the visit to Hogsmeade is good for Dumbledore but is it good for McGonagall? She doesn't know about Sirius's innocence, does she? And she is the one that has to get that permission letter from Harry. Then how can Harry explain that letter to her?

For a change, Harry is happy going into the Summer.

Somebody should teach Muffliato charm to Fudge, On to Chapter 20: Hermione's Secret.

The last chapter was the shortest whereas this chapter is the longest chapter with 24 pages and it absolutely makes sense! Hermione and Harry, essentially have to cover 4 chapters' worth of action in one chapter. Honestly, it is done quite well.

Fudge's incompetence, Snape's hatred, Poppy's tenderness, Hermione's desperation, and Harry's anger, all those people and their emotions came to halt, the moment Dumbledore enter the hospital wing. Well, I think, this was the first time I saw Snape actually Snap at Hermione. It's usually Harry who is a target of Snape's fury!

What did Sirus speak with Dumbledore? Does Dumbledore really believe Sirius? It made sense for Harry, Hermione, and Ron to believe Sirius cause they saw Scabbers turned into Peter. But what Dumbledore had proof of Sirius's innocence?

On other hand, Dumbledore and I agree about Sirius' actions. Sirius's intentions were good and innocent but his actions were far from good and innocent. He really did put a lot of people especially Harry in trouble.

To Dumbledore's credit, he came up with a full-proof plan (within a few minutes of finishing his conversation with Sirius) for Harry and Hermione. As usual, with one good thing, he has to counter it with an equally bad thing! He did make a nice plan but why on earth does it have to be two 13 years old children to accomplish it? I mean I understand, Hermione and Harry saw Sirius's innocence and Peter's betray in the original timeline. Hence, they have to back in time. But why do only children have to go back? Snape was present there. Dumbledore could have easily asked Snape to join in, couldn't he? Harry and Hermione (although, Brave and smart but still) are children they should not be in harm's way (Dementors, evil Animagus, Werewolf who forgot to take their Wolfsbane).

Here is my alternate idea, if only Dumbledore could have asked Snape to listen in on his plan. And asked Snape to go back in time with these children and check whether Sirius was telling the truth? (I don't think Snape would have minded, in fact, he would have been eager to prove Sirius wrong) and to keep these children safe. It would have made sense mission-wise, essentially it would have done two things, first, Dumbledore could have found out if Sirius was telling the truth or not? Second, Hermione and Harry would have had a guardian figure with them to keep them safe. Plus we know later Dumbledore use Snape as a spy, so it could have been a nice foreshadowing.

Why does no adult while talking about any sensitive subject forget to use the Muffliato charm? Esciapally Cornelius Fudge, that man should always and I mean always, should use Muffliato. Everywhere he goes he just spewing plot points...

Side note, we know Lupin's office is on the 3rd floor. And Filius Flitwick's office is on the 7th floor. Where are McGonagall's office, Snape's office, and other teachers' offices?

Time turner: a very powerful thing. Did the Ministry have some way to track it down every usage? Maybe like your web search history. It makes sense but at the same time, I am guessing when Professor McGonagall gave Hermione a Time-Tuner, she put some kind of restriction on it.

Headcanon about Time-Tuner: Professor McGonagall gave Hermione 12 hours Time Tuner. That means Hermione can only go up to 12 hours in the back or in the future. That way Hermione could attend her every class every day. But if she missed a class on Monday. Then on Tuesday, she can't go back to Monday to attend that class.

During Harry and Hermione's adventures in past, Harry's Deja vu feelings and Hermione's occasional slips were amusing to me. Harry is truly a brave boy! It is really sad that Harry had to learn that nobody will come to help him, he has to do it himself. When Harry's Patronus, a stag came up, not gonna lie, I almost cried, it was beautiful!

Not only Sirius Black but also Buckbeak is free!!!

I hate Peter Pettigrew the most now, On to Chapter 20: The Dementor's Kiss.

This is the shortest chapter. In the last 4 chapters, with many secrets revealed, old lovers rekindling, attacking a teacher, and character progression, at last, we are out of Shrieking Shank!

Crookshank has some kind of powers I'm sure of it!

I am surprised that Sirius hasn't severely harmed Snape, it is miracle, really! On other hand, Sirius asking Harry to come and live with him was just beautiful! That little act of Sirius made me almost forgive him for his attitude towards Snape, almost...

Of course, Harry's happiness has to be short-lived.

If Oliver Wood is an underrated loved character then Peter Pettigrew is an underrated Hated character. Peter attacked Crookshanks and Ron. I mean I understand why he attacked Crookshanks but Ron, I won't forgive him for it! Peter has officially become my point of despise, now.

Ron is seriously hurt, now I want to kill Peter!

Harry's desperate attempt to help Sirius is beyond heartbreaking, somebody (preferably an adult) should have come to help these children...

Wolfstar should have been a couple, canonically; In Chapter 19: The Servant of Lord Voldemort

Snape is here! Rise my pro-snape community!!! Your time has come... for a short time... Before he gets stunned. Anyways, my point is I love Snape! But not only that he is here with a piece of very important information that Lupin has forgotten to take his wolfsbane, really, but Lupin can be an idiot... sometimes.

On a side note, I love how protective Sirius is of Lupin. They are a lovely couple, they should have been together, canonical! All the signs were there, canonically!

Snape egging Sirius for a fight was so hot!!! These two bad boys fighting, God, I would give my left arm to see that!!! Just a sweet reminder (mostly to myself), these characters, Sirius and Snape are 33 or 34 in this book! So it is totally not weird, not at all, I said not at all! Ok, as compensation, here, Kitten, for you to forget what I just wrote...

Snape said he saw Marauder's map on Lupin's table, then how come he did not see Scabbers aka Peter on the map?

Hermione actually attacked Snape, a teacher! That will certainly leave Hermione with trauma! Hermione for the first time being uncharacteristically brave, this is character progression, people!

I love the fact that Crookshank is just chilling on the bed between all of this commotion! Finally, after three chapters we get Scabbers aka Peter Pettigrew!

Ron's pet has turned into a grown man, which is so weird just to say the least! Added to that Ron's reaction to Peter was honest and hilarious!

Sirius's reason for making Peter Secret Keeper is very dubious... Also, Sirius just walked past Dementor? Just like that, how? Just because Dementors don't have eyes, but they can sense, right? Dubious reasons, indeed... Dementors are scary creatures but they don't have much intellect, do they? Or they are just that poorly thought out creatures...?

Sirius swam like a dog, lived in a forest for almost a year (in a dog's body), the dude is committed! He does really love Harry! The fact that Sirius came to see Harry during the Quidditch match is beyond cute! And that made my heart melt... However, the fact that he came to Hogwarts ground is a failure of the Ministry of magic, Hogwarts authorities, and substantially Dementors!

I also find it a lot hard to believe that Remus Lupin, in 12 years of Sirius's stay in Azkaban never went to visit him. They have been best friends for 7 plus years. It almost sounds cruel of Lupin!

Harry, 13 years old shouldn't decide what can happen to a criminal, who was a pet of his best friend and childhood friend of his parents. That seems too much for a child.
