Here, we're sharing some progress and the design choices we're exploring with this sample page from @silverstreamrpg
We wanted a printer-friendly style that was also not completely black-and-white. Currently, we're looking at this very pale green as the default background color. In terms of structure, we want the pages to not always be huge walls of text, especially for dungeons and the like. So we're looking at breaking up the pages with art: custom-drawn, submitted, and found via copyright-free libraries.
As always, we're still accepting submissions! If you have any TTRPG-related art or writings, we're very happy to feature your work! Check out our pinned post for more information on submissions.
Happy 2024, and safe adventuring!

December Update!
Hello folks! Thank you so much for your interest in this little project!
Our initial goal was to have the first issue out this month, but due to starting new campaigns in two new systems and a lack of outside submissions, we just don't have enough finished for a full issue.
In the interest of not losing steam for this project, we're accepting all TTRPG-related submissions for the first issue! This includes homebrew items and creatures, character art, discussions of mechanics and alternate rules, and much more!
Check out our earlier post to learn more about how to submit and what that means for you!
Happy Holidays, and Merry Adventuring!

Welcome to Silver Scale Zine!
Hello and well met, traveler! This is the official blog of the Silver Scale Zine, an upcoming TTRPG zine made by fans, for fans.
Our first issue is going to be released in TBD. We wanted to give ample time for submissions and formatting, as well as to spread the word about our little project! The hope is to release issues every other month, though if it takes off we wouldn't mind increasing to monthly or more!
Are you a writer, artist, or other creator in the Tabletop Roleplaying Game space? We'd love to feature you in our zine!
Submissions do not have to match this theming, but those that do will be given priority! You will own all rights to your work! Submitting simply gives us the rights to publish it in our zine with your permission and any credit/handles/email you wish so readers can discover your work!
We do have the goal to sell each issue in its first few months for around $1-5 pay-what-you-want, which will be dispersed among the contributors to thank them for their submissions. We welcome all thoughts on this and how best to distribute to contributors!
If you are a creator with any thoughts, submissions, or questions, please reach out via our inbox here, or through [email protected]
