Hogwarts AU: Sorting Into the Four Houses

Riddle - Ravenclaw

Trey - Hufflepuff

HUFFLEPUFF'S DORM IS LITERALLY THE KITCHEN, AND YOU KNOW WHERE HE BELONGS? IN THE KITCHEN.

Cater - Hufflepuff

I mean....maybe he would like to be in Griffindor, but he also doesn't want to work up a sweat all the time and just wants to hang with his besties, y'know?

Ace - Griffindor

Lowkey he should be in Slytherin.

However, he really has shown that he stands up for himself and others against authority in moments that count.

Deuce - Griffindor

A true Griffindor. Boy is an absolute unit in I-GOT-YOUR-BACK 24/7.

Savanclaw:

Leona - Slytherin

You know his smug ass is getting sorted into Slytherin. You know it. I know it. We know it. His tail knows it.

Ruggie - Slytherin

Honestly, if he were pretenious, he would've been sorted into Griffindor. I didn't expect to place both Leona and Ruggie into the same house when I started this, but unfortunately, he's just going to have to be Leona's maid in the Hogwarts AU as well.

The boy has too many aspirations, and his desire to succeed in life is just far too great.

Jack - Griffindor

This good boy could've been sorted into Hufflepuff, but he has such a righteous and outspoken nature that he just fits as Griffindor's poster boy.

Octavinelle:

Azul - Ravenclaw

Ok, this was not an easy sorting, ok? He could easily be in Slytherin due to his nature and desires, but outwardly he would prefer to be in Ravenclaw because he's pretenious.

(Please don't kill me as if I'm sorting pretenious folks into Ravenclaw. It's actually my house too, but we all know how faulty that sorting hat is, right? Sometimes, it just sorts based on how the student thinks of themselves and not by what they truly are.)

Jade and Floyd - Slytherin

They don't care to be pretenious or put on any airs. The hat could smell these pair rolling up into the hall from afar, and it did not need to sit on either heads to call out their houses. Enough said, they are sea snakes.

Scarabia:

Kalim - Hufflepuff

He's literally the embodiment of sunshine. He's probably going to end up as Hufflepuff's mascot and obtain the grand title as "good boy."

Jamil - Ravenclaw

Yes, deeeeep down we all know he's a snake, but he's too pretenious and trying to look good that he'll be sorted into Ravenclaw.

(Again, don't kill me. I'm a Ravenclaw, too, remember.)

I think he's going to enjoy his time being farrrrrrr away as possible from Kalim.

Pomefiore:

Vil - Ravenclaw

I mean, I'm not sure if he'll be aiming for Ravenclaw because he thinks he'll look better in like blue, but you never know.

However, if we go based on what thinks of school or his values about school, he puts a lot of emphasis on receiving proper education, and he's quite fastitious about researching and keeping track of trends and just overall concept of what you gain from more knowledge. Also, he's based off the evil queen from Snow White, who you know uses big tomes for her potion making to X off people she hates and that overall vibe, y'know.

(I'm not making a great case for Ravenclaw, am I? Oops.)

Rook - Griffindor

Honestly, he's a bit of a chameleon because he's a hunter by trade and doesn't really subscribe to any ones house's ideals more than another, but I think it's the amount of bravery he has to be true to one's self that gives way to his outspoken nature. He really does stand up for what he believes in and works hard to make those ideals flourish and support others to make those ideals a reality.

Also, while I know he's supposed to fulfill the hunter caricature, he really does end up being a knight in shining armor most of the time, and that really suits the Sword of Griffindor aesethetic.

Epel - Griffindor

I-GOT-YOUR-BACK 24/7 NUMBER 2 (right there with his buddy, Deuce.)

At this point, you've got a little brigade of knights going on in Griffindor.

Ignihyde:

Idia - Ravenclaw

Ok, this was hard because I had to figure out which house would be a better cave for him. Slytherin or Ravenclaw, but ultimately, it boiled down to considering what his deepest aspirations are.

Yes, he has a drive to win at games, but if you think about what he has done so far. All of his knowledge and expertise have really been beneficial to other people instead of himself as the great mage and scientist he is with the great values learned from his parents. His work and advancements in the twisted wonderland world far outshine his desire to win in games.

Granted, I imagine he would probably find Slytherin to be the better cave because it literally looks like a water prison and I think other Slytherins would literally ignore him, but then he would get bullied to no end by the jocks stuck in said prison with him.

I think he'll find more gaming enthusists clamored in Ravenclaw and he'll be much more happier there. Also, Azul just happens to be in there too. So, the board game club will persist! And no, I did not plan for this.

Ortho - Hufflepuff

Literally, that is how his brother, Idia, thinks of Ortho. The outgoing, happy-go-lucky, happy helper caricature for him makes it hard to place him anywhere else. Does he have enormous amounts of bravery and loyalty to his friends and family to make him to go into Griffindor, no, because this is literally the definition for Hufflepuff.

Diasomnia:

Malleus - Slytherin

I mean, he's literally the heir of Briar Valley. Do I need to say more? Literally, Briar Valley is dripping in Slytherin fashion, ok? Evil green lighting? Check. Hating on everybody besides pure fae? Check.

He's literally the embodiment of what Slytherins would want of themselves, ok?

(But also...kind of scared how Slytherin house would fare with both Leona and Malleus being in the same dorm...)

Lilia - Slytherin

Honestly, he should be in Griffindor due to his values, but he prioritizes his family and friends more than the protecting and upholding lofty ideals and "being brave." He is going to Slytherin with Malleus and watching over him, and the hat will just have to comply that (lest it wants to be cut up into shreds somehow.)

Sebek - "SLYTHERIN!" Cried the sorting hat.

Yeah, he probably thought so much about Slytherin after finding out Malleus got sorted into that house that he pretty much end up worshipping that house as though it were Malleus itself and then also thought outloud during the sorting ceremony about how he ought to be in Slytherin that it left little for the sorting hat to choose for him.

And he probably do the same for Hufflepuff if that's where Malleus ended up in. Heck, he probably fit better in Hufflepuff, to be honest, if I do say so myself. Boy would thrive just eating everything Trey made and just about anything from living in the kitchen.

Silver - Griffindor

Yes.

Yes, he'll be separated from the Malleus Witness Protection Squad Diasomnia quartet.

I don't make the rules around here, ok?

He is a knight in shining armor. Cue the gleam of the Sword of Griffindor.

(Please don't kill me.)

I mean, would he try to fight the sorting hat and the school faculty for being sorted into Griffindor? ....Maybe, but that's also very Griffindor like of him to do so, so case and point.
