arainwisp:
Willow spent much of her time alone in the dark part of the woods. The density of the trees as well as some sort of inherent magick kept the entire area in a darkness that the rest of the forest rarely experienced during the day. The nights, however, had once been glorious. The wisps would gather together and dance. They would move in and out of the trees in a way that could hypnotize any who managed to lay their eyes upon the sight.Â
Then the sky went dark on the day of the eclipse. All of the lights dimmed, and only Willow was left to light up the sky. However, she found that the overwhelming darkness around and within her was simply too much for her light to pierce. The dark woods had become her domain despite her nomadic nature and she knew well when something was off. In having so much time alone, it made it very simple to detect when she was very much not.Â
It only took one gust of wind, a slightly different aura, a slight change in the way the familiar leaves rustled and she knew exactly where to go. It just happened to come from where she typically slept. A small ball of light floated through the air, weaving in and out of the trees until sheâd arrived. Inside was the familiar face of Sun, havenât failed to see her again since the day sheâd been freed from the facility. She floated into the space beneath the tree before floating out again and transforming with her legs crossed on the ground.Â
âIt is rare that anyone finds themselves here⊠and if they do it is often the result of feeling very much alone. What has brought you here, Sun?â
Her words felt small as they so often did in this part of the forest, as if they were somehow muted by the darkness itself.Â
âHello, Whisp.â She wiped her eyes quickly, not used to anyone seeing her in such a state. he looked around her at the darkness and then back to Willow.
âI...â Her words started, but faltered as she brought up the courage to tell her. âI donât know if I did the right thing. I left the forts. Aibell. My duty...I left everything.â
Sun bit back another wave of tears. She wasnât strong enough for this. She wasnât strong enough to protect her friend and queen. She wasnât strong enough to fight off something that could control her own free will. Before she could do her duty she had to figure out a way to get rid of it.
âMy friend. My queen. She hates me and without her I donât even have a life.âÂ

âShe is,â Micah insisted. âWhether sheâs got nefarious reasons for it or not, the fact remains that she is helping me, regardless of whatever it is that is driving her to do so. I did it because it was the best option available to me at the time, and I still stand by it. It isnât as if I enjoy relying on anyone for anything, or being in anyoneâs debt, or even simply asking for help, but it was the most strategic thing to do and nothing bad has come from it yet.âÂ
Heâd never talked to Sun about the things he had done, and granted, he didnât know much about Maeve personally, but he couldnât help but wonder if he would be labelled evil right alongside her if Sun was aware of who and what he was. If Gabriel, his brother, could be so distanced from him after learning the truth, it was doubtless that Sun would reject him as well. He wasnât quite sober enough to pretend like that didnât matter, even if it shouldnât.Â
âI donât trust her,â He snorted. He was far too smart and far too cynical to believe for a second that her interests extended beyond her crown and her court, and as it stood he had no direct involvement with either. He hadnât a clue what she intended to try and use him for, or if she even knew that much yet, but he felt it would be safe to assume that it would center around her own best interests, full stop. âIâm not a fool.â
His eyebrows raised as he watched her take a seat on the blasted log. He hadnât expected her to react with such negativity, but perhaps he should have, considering the way the forts seemed to be divided by squabbling. He didnât mind, really, it didnât involve him and it helped to keep their attention on each other instead of on him. âAlright,â He shrugged, âI donât know you.â He doubted Maeve would ever ask. It wasnât like theyâd been communicating much of late, anyways. âLike I said, Iâm there because itâs the best place for me to be at the moment.âÂ
Micah sat beside her, pulling out his bottle of wine and uncorking the top. He wasnât sure why she seemed to be freaking out, and he wasnât certain that he wanted to dig into why. At least not at this particular moment. Maybe they could just sit side by side and get drunk. That would be nice. Heâd been getting drunk alone often enough lately, drinking with company would be a nice change of pace. âCheers,â He said, dryly, tilting the bottle in her direction before taking a sip.
She downed another huge gulp to ease her pained chest and listened to him. Yes, it made sense. It made sense just like it had made sense to send herself into Maeveâs domain to help the Seelie Court.Â
âI know. I know you can handle yourself..â She lowered the flask finally, staring at the burning meat and turning it before going back to her seat. She eyed her own quickly dwindling alcohol before looking to Micahâs. âSo, I guess weâre kind of in the same predicament right now, huh?â Meaning, they were both forced away from the places they were at formally.
Sun was beginning to feel the warm fuzzies of the drink. It was a welcomed release from the panic that was eating her a few moments ago. âI canât go to my home right now. But sometimes you have to do what you think is best even if no body else does..right?â She didnât even know what she was saying or why she was saying it. âIâm pretty sure I did the most awful thing a Sun family member could do, but...â Sun sighed. âI didnât know what else to do...â
Words were just spewing from her mouth and she couldnât stop them. Maybe she needed to validate leaving her friend and her duty. Another drink tipped to her lips.

Shizuo falls silent, soâthree hundred years? Well Iâd be damned, she was some magical being, while initially heâd do something to capture a seemingly easy prey, he knew not to judge a book by its appearance especially with the many dangers and falsities that lurked within this forest. Perhaps heâd just have to dig a bit more information later, âSeriously? Like⊠three-zero-zero?â Fingers rose to have three fingers up then switched to an âOâ shape. âWow, just⊠unbelievable, butâyouâre still a kid, I canât help but see you that way.â
He doesnât even get the chance to talk back, this girl just grabs the bottle and drinks it up, now that is someone that kids shouldnât look up to. He just inwardly shakes his head, well whateverâshe was partially right though, most of the potions and poisons are kind of like water to him, heâs tested and drank too much itâs getting more difficult to test new potions. He simply just nods and gets the vial and shoves it back into his pocket, âYeah,â not soon after they reach the his absolutely isolated home.
âSince youâve drank the potion, most likely the scentâs been lowered to very mild or even none.â A pause as he places the squirrel on his cooking table, there was another one separate but that was specifically for dissection and testing. He grabs a bottle nearby, an antidote to fix disrupted spells. âDo you like sweet or savoury?â He asks as he drips a few drops of the potion into the squirrelâs mouth. âThis, is an antidote, freshens up and purifies the toxins out of these critters, buuut it isnât advised to directly drink in large doses.â
She sniffed deeply and was surprised to not smell things as strongly. Maybe this was how regular folks smelled things? "It has lowered very significantly." She watches him place the squirrel down and then her eyes begin to wander over other things..shinier things. "Mmmm Savory? I really don't mind either.." She absently replies as she begins to pick up things without even asking. Normally Sun was pretty polite, but this man's home was just so...interesting! There was strange little knives that she'd only seen specialists use that she just couldn't help but pick up.
"Mmhm." She may not have even heard him explaining the antidote to her as she picked up an especially shiny little blade and tested it's sharpness on her finger. "Ow!" The exclamation more so out of surprise at how sharp it was when it quickly, and painlessly, split the skin. She watched the little droplet of blood seep out of her finger before putting the digit in her mouth and sucking on it for a second. She carefully put the blade down and when she released her finger from her lips it was completely healed up. "Nice.." She breathed at the knife. He really knew how to take care of them and that was something she could respect.

atrocitied:
Nonchalantly, he gazes at the knife that seemed to have shimmered, the anxious flapping of wings the owl had done as it flee for its safety and life. He glances at the owl until it has flown away from visible sight then towards the other once more, what a pityâits eyes seemed undoubtedly perfect, one that would truly match a Queenâs crystalline orbs. He watches the way she acted without such dignity and grace, as if this lady was no fae of high regard. A slight cant of his head, his gaze does not leave hers and his hands held together, digits intertwine. âAh, of course, it is night after all, how could a fae like you see me?â words of arrogance and venom drips from his lips despite the rather friendly and saccharine tone he implies to each to it. A solemn silence as his lips form a casual smile, eyes softening. âIt has been quite a while, Sun Young Riââprotector of the Seelie Queen, Aibell Tuath, what a shame, I wouldâve thought you had more⊠poise to your acts as you held such a highly recognized name.â Words were slow and deep, as if in thought.
He straightens his back and his head, âHave you been faring well?â It was not a bad thing to reach out to old acquaintances and Fionn was one of those who enjoyed little reunions. Nevertheless, despite the evident falseness of his acts he does not let his magick fail him, his natural casual outward appearance is highly believable and such tender words akin to a gentlemanâs. But he does not forget, the little stories and rumors he had heard of her, the way she had executed her duty with no hitch, as if her whole life was driven and commanded by this tied affiliation to the Queen. Fionn had found it ridiculous, almost too illogical and entertaining but he does not say it out loud and instead shows it with vague gestures and words.
"Hmph." Arms cross over each other as she listens to him. The venom was as thick as the sweetness that he coated on top of it. The smile. The softening eyes. All were just actions with nothing behind them to her. This little act would  not win her over like he had half the Summer court.  "Poise isn't the only thing that makes a name recognizable, Fionn. I save that for the fae like you." It could have been a compliment, but it most definitely was not. Her lips did not hold the same smile and Sun's eyes were absolutely devoid of any warmth. She just wasn't as good at faking these sorts of things.
She was ready to leave when he seemed to adjust and ask more questions. Oh, No.. Sun was not one for this type of small talk when it truly meant nothing to the other party. He didn't care how she fared (unless she fared very dead-like, maybe..) and she didn't care how he fared. Pleasantries were just not her forte and this may be why Aibell usually had her pretty silent unless the subject was on something she knew a lot about. She stood as cold as a stone boulder, keeping a good distance away from the man because she was sure he had some sort of pheromone magick over beings...or something.. It was a good solid minute before she remembered she should probably answer him back. "Well enough.."Â
Maybe Sun should at least say something else? He was weirdly close to Aibell.. "I do hope you're treating my Queen well, Fionn. She is very fond of you, you know." The words felt weird coming out of her mouth. They held no pleasant tone and she realized too late that she may have sounded a little threatening. She hoped he just knew that she was horrible at these things..although...It was true that Sun would rain down the rage of a thousand lions if she heard of any possibility of him hurting her friend.

Secret Valentine's! A bouquet of white carnations and pink and white roses and appears by your doorstep đ
Sun walks out to find a sweet smelling bouquet of flowers. There wasnât an indication of who had sent them, but the gesture was happily accepted as she took a deep breath of their fragrance. She brings them into her cave and sets them in a bowl of water to admire for a while.Â

The night air was chill and just the perfect amount of crispness to sort of sting and keep you awake. A lovely night with clear constellations, Sun thought as she lounged in the boughs of some huge tree like she used to when she was young and adventuring with Aibell. Her leg swung idly as she sliced an apple with a little pairing knife.
She had just put a slice of the jiucy apple in her mouth when she noticed someone, and that particular someone happened to be the perfect one to make the apple in her mouth taste sour. Fionn.
Ugh! She could not stand this fae! He wooed Aibell and had her wrapped his slimy finger like a little pet, but she just felt disgusted by him. What an absolute snake! She just did not trust the man and each time they met she was more sure that he was up to something...playing that game that all high court fae play...but Fionn was dangerous she felt.Â
She held her apple in one hand, the little knife in the other while she watched him. Oh, how cute..he wanted that owl.. Sun narrowed her eyes and with one deft movement..
The owl went flying away from him. She had missed on purpose, forcing the owl to take flight away from the man with a pleasant swell. The pairing knife stuck in the tree trunk the owl had been perched upon. She let herself slip from the tree, falling like a lazy cat from a counter top. â..Didnât see you there.â Sunâs tone obviously said that sheâd seen him there perfectly. She watched him with the suspicion she felt written all over her face.
It was the dead of the night, somehow it was once again a sleepless night for Fionn Cavanaugh, with no destination in mind, he lets his feet take the leadâmind though wandering far away does not let his body be unguarded. All senses alert and wide awake. After a while, his attention seemed to have been caught by a lone animal, in the darkness there were two wide orbs glimmering under the gentle moonlight. An owl. He remembers that Aibell had a liking to these rather, exotic animals, Fionn did not quite understand, but he takes a step closer inspecting it. Somehow, he had himself joined an unexpected staring contest, his gaze did not leave the owls and its gaze does not waver as well. His expression remains chillingly devoid of any emotion and the way they eyed the animal was as if a predator eyeing its prey. It seemed that the owl was picking up the magick emitting from the fae, its feathers seemed to be ruffled and head hung low but its gaze does not leave the contact. Fionn was nearly reaching it when someone had hit a bulls eye on the poor animal and now theyâve escaped his grasp.
âExcuse meâmay I know what reason you have to capture my prey?â Though politeness seeps from his choice of words, the tone does not seem to match the seemingly gentle expression he shows. Â

CLOSED STARTER @arainwisp
Her mindâs eye was still filled with the blue flames engulfing everything around her. The sound of the rain that soon followed seemed to deafen her although it was now out of earshot. The words of her friend echoing on repeat as if on a broken record.
How dare you.
You will rue this day.
She wasnât sure where her feet were carrying her, but she had to get out. Sun had probably been walking for quite a while, the sun should have been just rising, but she couldnât see it. The coolness of the darkness kept her wrapped in some comfort as she walked into the darkened arches of a forest path. It was a strange darkness that would normally put her on edge, but she felt like she just wanted to blend into it and become the darkness at that moment.
She found a huge tree with a natural cove inside it and there she curled herself inside. Sun willed herself to just disappear, just be nonexistent, for a while.Â
This hurt. This hurt worse than being with the Unseelie, worse than being in that clean white room with the humans. Had she made the right decision? Was Anthony right? It didnât matter now because she had done it and now she was alone and..so fucking lost..everything, everything she had built for herself had crumbled up in a blue flame a few hours ago and it was clear Aibell did not welcome her back.
She could feel herself rocking back and forth inside the alcove of the tree, her breathing an unsteady mess. What had she done? She hadnât felt this alone since her stay with maeve..
..And suddenly she noticed a light through her closed eyelids. It wasnât blinding, but it flitted around oddly and Sun found herself quiet as she opened her eyes to see what could have joined her here in the deeper parts where even the tougher creatures stayed away.
âWhisp..â She breathed.Â

Famous first lines of poetry
BOLD the ones that apply to your muse
TAGGED: Stolen !
TAGGING: Anyone who wants to do this as well.
i saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked // tyger tyger, burning bright //  i have done it again. // do not go gentle into that good night. // the sea is calm to-night. // let us go then, you and i, //  april is the cruelest month,  //  pretty women wonder where my secret lies. //  there is a place where the sidewalk ends  // i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)
two roads diverged in a yellow wood, // whose woods these are i think i know  // let us twain walk aside from the rest; //  once upon a midnight dreary, while i pondered, weak and weary,  // i taught myself to live simply and wisely // it so happens i am sick of being a man  // i wandered lonely as a cloud  //  does it dry up like a raisin in the sun ?  //  o my luve is like a red, red rose  //  o captain! my captain! our fearful trip is done;  // out of the night that covers me, // it was many and many a year ago, //  you may write me down in history //  do not stand at my grave and weep // some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice.// hope is the thing with feathers // the wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees, // no man is an island,
remember me when i am gone away, // i met a traveller from an antique land  //  âtwas brillig, and the slithy toves  // this is thy hour o soul,  //  when we wear the mask that grins and lies,  // death be not proud, // and death shall have no dominion. //  laugh, and the world laughs with you; // the art of losing isnât hard to master; //  to see a world in a grain of sand //is there anybody there? said the traveller //  nobody heard him, the dead man, //  that crazed girl improving her music.  // come to me in the silence of the night; // where the mind is without fear and the head is held high //  when you are old and grey and full of sleep,  //  in flandersâ fields the poppies blow  // i thought of you and how you love this beauty // life, believe, is not a dream //  it may be misery not to sing at all,  //  if starry space no limit knows
come live with me and be my love  // had we but world enough and time, // my heart aches, and a drowsy numbness pains my sense // bright star, would i were steadfast as thou artâ //  thou still unravishâd bride of quietness  //  how do i love thee? let me count the ways. //heaven is what i cannot reach ! //  my dear, my dear, i know // in visions of the dark night//  shall i compare thee to a summers day? // break, break, break //  she walks in beauty,  // i had a dream, which was not all a dream.  // he clasps the crag with crooked hands.
the softest palms that never want to touch you until after a bottle of wine. // â just braid your hair if you wonât brush it, at least, you useless girl. â // pulling on your skirt with one hand as you shuffle away. // â youâll get it done before the day is up. â // guilt that isnât yours to have. // itâs a crooked game, but itâs the only one in town. // chains. // â how could you do this to me? â// the sharp sting of guilt. // you feel something even though youâre paid to do the opposite. // the family you never had. // falling backwards through time. // quicksand. //drowning, but you donât save yourself. // âyouâre getting better. â // âthey smile like a snake.â // youâre the stars and the sky. // thereâs a part of you that couldnât stay away even if you were forced to. // they are your wings, thereâs no doubt there. // â letâs take off somewhere. letâs fly. â // you edge a bit too close to the sun. // another ghost to take your place after every stumble. // deep roots in the ground slashed open in the sun. // rock candy melting in water. // waves rise and leave the foam behind. // the precipice you call home has a tip youâll reach eventually. // happiness is the best front a man can take. // âiâve never seen someone as beautiful as you before.â // you disagree; theyâre more beautiful. //discomfort at the tiniest of touches. // the sky opens up when you see them. // rain comes down. // poppy fields. // your sanity hanging by a thread. // âoh god, what have you done? â // roommates werenât supposed to be the smartest ones of all. // theyâve got a devil on their shoulder and an angel in their mind. // you try to help, but it only got worse. //now theyâre dead, itâs all your fault. //
adam & eve in the garden. // a temptress in crisp button-downs.// â fuck, youâve gone off the deep end, havenât you? â // they lie so perfectly you almost forget yourself. // the spark that lit the kindling on your funeral pyre. // sugar and spice and a taste for the dark side. // yes saint laurent black opium on your pillow, a scented cloud drifting behind you like a cape. // crisp green apples piled up on the table. // your shoes are sharp, but your wit is even sharper. // what a pretty one, they say. // you laugh without humor. // a soft, hollow spot sits in your chest. // thereâs a place youâll never leave no matter who tries to stop you. // the seat of power fits like a glove. // heavy is the head that wears the crown. // you share a space, but not a mind. // they think you are weak; you are, maybe. // â what are you going to do with all of these pills? â // an empty birdâs nest. // broken pencil tips. // thereâs an empty paper in front of you that youâll never fill. // âwe want you to succeed. i hope you can grasp that. â // â they werenât there when it happened. â Â // corruption. // thereâs a red string tying you together. // the scent of whiskey on the horizon. // â youâre the best friend iâve ever had. â // pink tipped fingers lock in secrecy. // 99 red balloons drifting through a hazy sky. // you try to lift your head up, but itâs so much effort. // always walking on sunshine. // thereâs a million reasons to come down from the clouds, but you canât be bothered. // hair twisted up with glitter butterfly clips like a haphazard mobile. // you drift, but you know where youâre going. // no one has any dirt on you because youâre infinitely spotless. // the empty side of your bed they crawled into when they were nine. // court hearings. // â I miss you. â // siblings are a funny thing. // they point out every family-shaped hole in every picture on the mantelpiece. // blackbird screaming // wake in nightmares // are you an illusion? // I donât feel real. // who is in control?

âNo,â he said, and gave a snort. As if heâd even allow such a thing. Micah could be convincing when he needed to be, and what purpose would the fae have holding him captive anyways? He was much more useful when he was out and about rather than holed up at their base. It would be a foolish move on their part, for a number of reasons.
Micah raised an eyebrow as she whirled to look at him, and his lips quirked into a grin. âNo, Sun,â he answered, âI mean, really. You know Iâd put up such a fuss, nobodyâd think it was even worth it to keep me. Theyâd either let me go or kill me, or Iâd kill them and then escape. AndâŠÂ âfluff beanâ⊠is fine. Heâs around here somewhere. He does his own thing, but he always finds me sooner or later.â
His other eyebrow joined the first as she walked up and stared him in the face, and he simply blinked at her, rather taken aback. âNo spells. Maeve helped me. Sheâs the one allowing us to stay here.â
There was no denying or hiding the utter surprise in her features as he said the name.
Maeve?
Maeve. Had helped him..Â
She still stood so close to him (not in any romantic way. She wouldnât even know how to start that) and slowly the surprised went to a scowl, eyes narrowed. âDonât ever think that she is helping you.â She warned him.
âWhy would you seek help from her, Micah.â Sun turned again, putting the hare on the fire she had started. âShe is...evil. She will use you and hurt you. You canât trust her.âÂ
Sunâs brain was going into overload. She could feel herself not breathing properly and her chest was tightened as she sat on the log that had tripped him earlier. So many things were going through her mind right now. Micah was in Maeveâs debt now. Did he know that? She closed her eyes trying to block out the past and not imagine the things that she could do her friend. âYou donât know me, Micah..â She still had her eyes closed. âIf she asks. You donât know me. Why are you there?â
Chocolate eyes opened back up to stare into the sky. She would need to warn him to clear himself of her scent before they left. He couldnât leave evidence of their meeting if he was near Maeve at all. She needed a drink. Her hand went to the flask at her side, filled with fae alcohol, she downed a huge gulp.

If there was one way to subdue a predator in the midst of a bloodlust, it was by cracking their skull. Stars exploded behind Erasmusâ eyes and he immediately released the fae to bring his hands to his head, feeling blood well up from where heâd been struck. As painful as it had been, it refocused Erasmus and snapped him violently back into his right mind. While instinct was no longer the predominant guide in his actions now, he wasnât any less pissed in the situation he found himself in.
âWhat the fuck.â He ground out, feeling what was definitely a concussion as he half rolled onto his side, cradling an agonizing headache and trying to piece together what was going on. The smack to the skull didnât help, but he remembered the Mer, speaking to her, and after that it was a haze. The blood on his tongue filled the gaps there, but what the hell was happening right now?
Fae-scent filled his nostrils and he immediately looked at her, no longer with the bright golden eyes of a hunter, but the glazed confused blue of someone whoâd been dropped into something he had no memory of. âWhat are you doâget off me.â It was only just now being brought to his attention she was straddling him, her hand wrapped around a wicked looking sword. If this was some kind of foreplay he was definitely not into it. Between the headache brought on from the blow and confusion, he just needed a goddamn second to sort it all out.
With the release of her hair from his hands she jerked up, watching him hold his head and twist underneath her in pain.Oh some words she understood! She cocked a brow while her sword hand was still poised dangerously in the air, still as she possibly could be.
When he turned back she was surprised by the change in his eyes. The color was different and he was no longer a madman but someone who looked very ....confused?
She didnât have time to say anything to him before he was demanding that she get up. This whole situation was throwing her off. Nobody had ever done anything like this during a fight before. What was she supposed to do? Quickly, Sun stood and let him lay there while she went over to the mer.
â..Too late..â She said to herself as she stared at the bloody corpse. She turned to him, glaring.Â
âWhat do you think I was doing!â Deft heels turned to face the man as she answered his unfinished question. The glare in her eyes was enough to shoot beams of fire at him if sheâd had the ability. How could someone be so careless?!Â

A shine of bright steel drew him back, caution making him wary of the sharpened edge of the blade threatening him. He growled as it suddenly dropped, right along with the fae. His teeth snapped into open air, missing her neck by a mere inch as she went for his legs, and lucky for her, his balance was not as exceedingly enhanced as his strength and speed were.Â
Erasmus toppled, hitting the ground hard enough to momentarily daze him, but he recovered quickly. His hand shot out to try to grab a fistful of hair, her arm, something so he could jerk her beneath him. He was still wrathful, still wanting to close his teeth on her for simply being there at the wrong time and interfering.Â
âOch jag kommer ocksĂ„ att döda dig!â He snapped, falling back in to his native language as he bared his fangs and twisted, reaching for the nearest part of her he could get his teeth on.
The air from his quick snap at her neck was felt as she lowered. Close call. Not many people can say theyâve come so close to killing Sun in a real fight. She had been dead concentrating, lips in a tight straight line and eyes slitted.Â
âTch!â Sun didnât give herself time to celebrate this small victory as he fell to the earth. It was too early to think sheâd won anything. She leaped on top of him, her thighs holding onto the side of his body tightly. Her fist was like a boulder as it shot down to punch him in the face, only to miss and hit the hard ground beneath.Â
She felt his hand dig into the back of her head, pulling her hair so hard she thought he might scalp her. âYou wonât get any more blood!â She screamed as he yelled nonsense words at her.Â
He had pulled her head close to him, probably going to chomp off her ear or something.. Sun reached to her side, fingers fumbling for anything to give her another leverage, and felt the familiar hilt of her blade. It was sheer luck that something was there. Without a second thought her hand brought the hilt up and slammed it against Erasmusâs head hard.Â

The hug caught Micah off guard, and he froze. He just- he wasnât a hugger, he wasnât the type of person that people hugged. Heâd been kissed and touched in different ways plenty of times over the years, sure. But as far as hugs went⊠other than Gabriel, nobody had hugged him since⊠well, it had been a while. Long enough that he didnât react until it was almost too late. Despite himself, he melted into it, squeezing her back for a few short seconds before they seperated. If anyone asked, it was definitely the alcohol. Definitely.
He didnât pry into her reasons for having left, simply accepted that sheâd done so, assuming that if she wanted to talk about them she would. He really wasnât the type to talk about feelings anyways. He eyed the hare and gave a shrug, lip curving up into a half- smile. âSure,â he accepted. âI am living here now, yes. Iâve been alright.â He shrugged. He was stressed, sure, maybe a bit moreso than usual and perhaps heâd been drinking a bit too much. Talking about it didnât make any difference. It didnât make any of his problems disappear, so there was no point.
She continued to finish up the hare, fast and precise at it and then began to get her little fire made. âMicah,â She started. âYou arenât being held captive are you?âÂ
Sun was worried that he may have been put under a spell or something..had he been glamoured? Where was Fluff Bean? Had he been killed? She stopped mid-fire building and whipped around. Sun was still crouched to the ground but she looked up at him worriedly. âDid you get kidnapped?! Where is fluff bean?!âÂ
She stood and walked back up to face him, staring hard into his eyes to look for any spells that may have glamoured him into thinking he wasnât being held captive. âDid they put a spell on you!? Did Maeve do something!?â
Although he didnât seem to have been kidnapped by the way he was freely roaming, she could not rule out him having some sort of spell over him. Plus, where was the dog? He wouldnât leave his dog.

She went limp fairly quickly, her heartbeat fading and the light in her fearful eyes vanishing. Erasmus hadnât meant to kill her, but the deed was done and he would have to swallow it down as he always did. It was moments like these that numbed him, made him care less, else heâd drive himself mad with the guilt. Suppressing it didnât mean it vanished altogether. It was always there in the back of his mind, reminding him of the monster he was.
Noise. Intruder. Threat. The words and simple thoughts had his eyes fiery with rage, instinct still guiding him like a wild animal as his jaws released his current kill and he let the body fall to the ground. Someone was charging him, but he would not be so easily cut down.Â
Erasmus went to the left in a blur of movement, eager to flank this new attacker before she could sink her blade into him. His hunger was satisfied, replacing desperation for blood with an angry and terrifying desire to fight and survive. While his mind was slowly clearing, his body moved of its own will, directed by other forces until Erasmus could come-to and control himself.Â
Fangs bared, he lunged at what he detected was a fae, aiming to overpower her physically and wretch that weapon out of her grasp.
He was fast, faster than any being she had ever faced before, but she had skill and a control over her actions just so precise. She had only a second or two to block the attack. Her sword stopping him with the flat of the blade. âYou killed her!â She snarled at him as her left foot went behind her to get some leverage.
Sun quickly, using all of her abilities, dropped the sword. Letting the vampire have what he wanted as she dropped and with a blur went to grab his legs out from under him. If he were to fall, she would pounce on him. There was more than one way to get a head detached from a body..

Crumb Event Starter (The Labyrinth!) @ dahlia-x-chea ~
She could have sworn she had lit a really nice fire to keep her warm. That she shouldnât be this cold....and...wet? Sunâs eyesblinked open, watering and blinking even more as the sun glistened off the white snow and icy walls. âWhat?..â She breathed.
âWhat is going on?â She stood. Her hand went to her side where she would normally have her sword, but there was nothing. After all she had been asleep, her sword had been carefully tucked at her chest and not attached to her.  âDamn..â She growled.
A few steps and turns of her feet had her checking her surroundings. She was surrounded by walls of ice and they were huge. Her breath came out in steamy huffs at the awful situation until she looked to her side and saw heap laying in the snow.
Sun instantly ran up to the woman, kneeling beside her and giving her a gentle shake. âHello! Wake up!â They had to get out of here. There was no safe place o seek shelter and from where they had landed, there was only one way to go where the wall wasnât...and it seemed passed that were more huge icy barriers.Â

Sun had been approaching the lake, taking the more scenic way back to her cave when she heard the struggle up ahead. What was happening? It sounded like someone was in trouble!Â
âTsk!â She leaped onto the balls of her feet, racing silently through the brush until she arrived out into the open. There she saw it. The man who had a woman down on the ground, her screams now died out as he bit at her like a wild animal. Sunâs eyes went wide.Â
âArrggh!!â She yelled at him, angry that she was most likely too late to save the lady and (even if sheâd never admit it) hefted with a good portion of fear. Quickly she pulled her sword and raged toward the monster with aim to cut off his head.
She hadnât been paying attention to the danger she was in, or perhaps she was naive enough to think that Erasmus was really someone with a golden heart and tough exterior. Sheâd invited him to come next to her as she went on about the beauty of the lake, describing the gentle currents and the exotic wildlife. He was, of course, uninterested in all of it. Erasmus had come out here to hunt, and he surely wasnât going to warn a potential victim that his fangs would likely end up in her neck.
She went on and on as he sat in silence, mentally debating if this was too easy and he should move on to someone else. He almost felt bad, not just because it was hardly a hunt but because she seemed so clueless and innocent. Only thing that kept him from leaving was the fact she was a Mer, and he really did want to know what they tasted like.Â
She reached out to him, touching his arm to gain his attention and show him something out on the water, but that simple touch made something in him snap. Erasmusâ eyes slid to her, darkened, and before he could control himself he went for her. Teeth met flesh and he bit hard, tugging her down to the ground as she attempted to push him away.

Aibell: And what if that doesn't work?
Sun: Then I'll punch him really hard until he falls down, that always seems to work.
