WIP#1
It was a gloomy Saturday night, something that your heart and the sky seemed to agree on as you walked through the dark alleys of the streets, paying no mind to whatever danger it could bring on.
There wasn’t much to look forward to, might as well spice things up a bit, no?
You let out a soft sigh, leaning against the wall and putting on your headphones to play a song to match the mood. You laughed a bit at the silliness of the thought.
You closed your eyes and began to hum quietly, oblivious to the tears that slipped down your cheeks.
And something else.
Someone else.
You felt his presence after a while, the atmosphere around you changing, all while remaining the same. It felt as if he was the darkness itself, and if he were to be, you wouldn’t mind. You weren’t afraid of the dark.
It went on for a few minutes, and you never once opened your eyes, not wanting to ruin the moment.
But just like everything else, he was bound to disappear.
Once you opened your eyes, it was as if you had just imagined him. You sighed, looking back up at the sky as you slowly made your way home. There were no words exchanged, hell, it was probably just your imagination, but you couldn’t help but think about how you felt in that moment. You weren’t sure if it was fear, or just content that he enjoyed your humming and didn’t bother you. Or both. You didn’t know, but for once, you were content with not knowing.

Warnings: Flashbacks, Child abuse, bullying and physical abuse.
Word count: 943
Pairing: Todoroki Shouto x Midoriya Izuku
Summary: Kacchan goes a little bit too far, and Todoroki is reminded of things he’d rather forget. Part 1 | Part 2
Tumblr media
The contents of his backpack were scattered on the floor as Bakugou’s friend took his lunch. It was a frequent occurrence, always happening whenever Shouto wasn’t around. And knowing Midoriya, he wouldn’t tell anyone. He couldn’t and he made sure of it everyday.
Izuku was pinned to the wall, quiet sobs leaving his mouth as he tried to struggle against Bakugou’s stronger form.
“Kacchan, s-stop-!” He cried out, the pressure on his wrists so strong it felt like they were going to break.
“Shut up, Deku!” He yelled, uttering the name as if it was the most disgusting word ever, kicking him and letting him fall to the floor like the loser he was.
Izuku curled up, soft whimpers escaping him as he tried to muffle his sobs, trying to shield his body with his arms.
He was pathetic.
“That’s what you get for thinking that a quirkless loser like you could stop me.” He kicked him once more, eliciting a yelp from the smaller boy. “Next time just keep your mouth shut or you’ll eat those words, got it?” He spat, and Deku had no choice but to give him a shaky nod, his eyes squeezed shut.
He then left, his group of so called friends followed, the crowd gathered around them exchanging stares and hushed whispers.
Behind the crowd, Shouto could only stare at his friend’s form on the floor, his mind shifting somewhere else.
-
“Enji, please-!”
He hit her again, it was supposed to be him. Not her. It was his fault for trying to stay with her when he was supposed to train, yet she was still defending him.
She shrieked, falling to the floor. It would leave a bruise...because of him. How selfish could he get? He had to tell him. He had to, he couldn’t watch him hurt his mommy anymore. It wasn’t fair.
“S-stop! Stop it, it’s my fault!” He wrapped his small arms around his father’s leg, begging him to stop.
It was his fault, he was the one who wouldn’t listen. He just wanted to hug her before he had to go, it was just a quick little hug. If he could just get him to listen then-!
He let out a yelp as a hand lifted him up by the collar of his shirt, his wide eyes settling on his father’s cruel snarl.
“If that’s what you think.”
.
.
.
It was the worst training session he’d ever endured during his mother’s presence.
-
His breathing was labored and fast as he tried to calm down, eventually snapping back to reality. It was okay, he was used to this. It was fine, he just...he had to get to Midoriya...
He looked back at where the boy was a few minutes ago, but there was no trace of him, almost as if nothing had happened at all. He must’ve gone outside the hallway.
He sprinted towards their favorite place, a tree casting a shadow over the small boy’s figure. He could hear faint sobs and quiet mumbles, and a part of him ached at the fact that he’d heard them enough times to know who they belonged to.
He sat next to him, gently putting an arm on his shoulder. “Midoriya…”
Izuku flinched—he always did—then relaxed a bit as he registered his voice, wiping his tears away and giving him a strained smile. He couldn’t be a hero if he kept crying like that. He had to keep smiling.
“I’m okay, I-I’m fine, I just caught something in my eye-”
Before he could go on any longer he felt Todoroki pull him into a tight hug, his fingers gently running through his green curls. That was all he needed to burst into tears, clinging to Shouto as if he were a lifeline, and he might’ve been right then and there.
“I-I just- I just d-don’t know why he keeps doing this,” His voice was muffled by his shirt, his words barely comprehensible through his sobs and hiccups. “I tried to be nice, I r-really did. I don’t know what I did wrong this time, I a-avoided him like he wanted! H-he still wouldn’t- wouldn’t stop, I-” His words got messier as he went on, his sobs drowning out everything else around him as he clutched Shouto’s shirt, letting out a choked sob.
The dual haired boy listened to him throughout it all, whispering quiet reassurances into his ear as he hugged him close to his chest.
“It’s okay, it’s alright. None of this is your fault. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to help you…” He was always too late. He was never able to help anyone he ever cared about.
“It’s not your fault, Todoroki-kun…” He reassured, “You’re here for me now, right? It’s alright, you did your best.”
But Midoriya deserved better...
“I’ll make sure to stay with you next time, that way I’ll be able to protect you.” He promised, hugging the green haired boy closer.
He’d be there to make sure he doesn’t get hurt again. He won’t let it happen, not when he can prevent it.
He wiped Izuku’s tears away, gentle as always, softly gazing into his eyes that were tinted just a light shade of gold from the sunlight.
Shouto cupped his face in his hand, and Midoriya gave him a bright smile. And although his face was still wet with tears, his eyes puffy and red from crying, his smile never failed to outshine everything else around it.
“You’re always there for me, Todoroki-kun. I couldn’t ask for a better friend.”
Todoroki smiled back as if Midoriya was the Sun, and he was the moon, reflecting his light.
“Me too.”

Warnings: None!
Word count: 371
Pairing: Prince!Todoroki Shouto x Reader
Summary: Everyday, he hears you sing. And every other day, he comes to hear you more. (I may or may not use this as a prequel for a multichap fic I do Not know)
Tumblr media
“The Sun’s smiling today!” You danced around cheerfully, picking up your favorite flowers as you continued to skip through the garden and dance to the wind, your mirth echoing through the empty space.
Friends. You called your flowers ‘friends’.
It was strange, but it was endearing in its own way. You talked to them a lot and you were so gentle with them...and sometimes you sang to them. Those were his favorite times.
Your voice was so beautiful, warm and gentle. It reminded him of too many things at first, he felt like he needed to leave, to pretend he never heard it, but he was simply frozen in place. You overwhelmed him, but he didn’t quite mind it was much as he should.
Ever since then, he kept coming. You never once noticed him, and it almost concerned him how he could easily slip by unnoticed without you ever seeing him.
You sang a lot, he noticed. But it never failed to mesmerize him. He’d thought you’d cast a spell on him at first, but even if you did, he didn’t mind that much. He didn’t mind anything as long as he got to hear your voice.
Whenever you sang he’d close his eyes, and it almost made him forget where he was. It was like floating, in a sense. There was nothing else but his empty mind and your voice to fill it, and he could forget the rest of the world ever existed in the first place.
Some of your songs were different though, and he never knew what to feel about those ones.
They were like a hug, a really warm hug on a cold unforgiving night. They were like those songs his mother sang to him before, those gentle touches he almost forgot, the way she moved her hand through his hair.
It took him a long time until he decided that he liked all of your songs, that’s why he came though, right? To see you, your smile and to hear you sing. It was enough to make him forget about the cruelty of the world even if for a short time.
You were a siren, and the world guided him to you everyday.

Warnings: None!
Word count: 1366
Pairing: Bakugou Katsuki x Reader
Summary: Not all nightmares are bad because Bakugou's there to make your dreams come true.
Tumblr media
“I’m not making your breakfast for you, you morons!” Bakugou, yelled as he aggressively proceeded to make breakfast that was enough for the entire class.
Kaminairi just laughed, opening his mouth to tease him before Kirishima’s hand was clamped over his mouth. You chuckled at their antics, they were so childish sometimes but it was something you loved about them. Bakugou contracted himself every so often, pretending he doesn’t care while his actions proved the opposite.
Those beautiful, sharp red eyes of his that lingered for a bit longer than they should when his friends complained about something, and somehow . The way he was so, so observant to ‘accidentally’ know how his friends liked their tea. The times where someone would be getting less sleep than usual and he’d scold them, while giving them a coffee to help them stay awake for the rest of the day.
He was a walking contradiction, and you loved every bit of it.
Katsuki set the plates down on the table with the help of Kirishima who thought it was unmanly to let him do the work alone. He smiled brightly, calling the rest of the class to the table as you sat down on the chair, noticing how Bakugou waited for everyone else to come so he could eat.
It was cute...
“Morning, Y/N-chan!”
Uraraka chirped brightly as she sat down next to you and began gulping down the food, loudly mouthing a thanks to Bakugou.  “O-oh, morning!” You must’ve been staring at him for a while because everyone was seated and they were already eating. You looked down, a light blush on your cheeks. It’s fine, nobody’s gonna notice...you could just pretend you were eating the entire time- “Staring at Bakugou much today?”
Nevermind.
You shoved a mouthful of omelette into your mouth, blushing brighter. That was a bit too much omelette, and now you looked like an idiot, or a clown. “Are you okay..?” Her face softened, as she reached out and put a hand on your shoulder. You relaxed, melting into the comfort as she gave it a gentle squeeze. You gave her a slight nod, trying to hide your embarrassment.
“Sorry, I just..” I just think I might be in love with Katsuki but I also can’t tell him because he’s way out of my league and I have no idea what to do. Pretty much.
“It’s okay, really! I was just joking with you!” She said, but you could also sense the worried undertone in her voice.
You let out a relieved sigh, nodding. You didn’t mind talking to her about your crush on Bakugou, but not now, not here.
Trying to finish your food as quickly as you could, you didn’t notice the way his gaze lingered on you a bit more than the rest.
-
You fidgeted with the hem of your shirt as you waited for Mina to text back.
Yummycakes: oh crap i just reaalizedsd i and kaminari forgot to do our homework sajfhjksfj we’re gonna copy kirishima’s hw and cme back soon! have fun ;)
Have fun?! What did she mean “have fun”??!  How could you possibly have fun??
You looked over to Bakugou who kept trying to find something decent enough to watch. This was a sleepover, and they were supposed to come! All three of them! And now they’re just leaving?
You regret ever telling her about your crush on him, you should’ve known it was a trap! It was obvious they weren’t coming, and as much as you liked Katsuki, you didn’t like how awkward you were around him.
“What’s with that face, midget?” His loud voice rang clear within the room, snapping you out of your thoughts. He had a small cute pout on his face, and you had the sudden urge to kiss it off.
You shook your head, looking anywhere but at him.
“U-um, A-ashido and Kami forgot to do their homework, s-so they’re gonna copy Kirishima’s.” You kept fidgeting with your fingers, doing all kinds of weird shapes with them as you tried to distract yourself.
Katsuki huffed, finally settling on something and sitting next to you, handing you a bowl of popcorn. His ears were flushed red at the edges, and he was thankful for the fact that you didn’t notice.
The first few minutes were awkward, your eyes were glued to the screen, almost as if you were afraid to look anywhere else, and Katsuki was quiet, unlike his loud self.
As the movie went on, the atmosphere eased between the two of you.
He laughed sometimes, and it was so strange hearing it for the first time that you kept staring for a few moments before laughing with him, something about his laugh made your chest feel warm with something you couldn’t quite name. But it was pleasant.
By the end of the movie you two were three inches apart, and your cheeks flushed when you noticed.
Bakugou got up quickly, turning away from you as he fetched his blanket, a light blush on his cheeks that was invisible in the now pitch black room. No wonder he slept so easily.
You tilted your head, watching the way he moved around, his toned arms that you wanted to be wrapped in tossed a blanket over to you, snapping you out of your daze. “You forgot to bring one, dumbass.”
Oh, right.
You smiled, taking the blanket and hugging it close to your chest. It smelled just like him, and you wished you could have it forever. He raised his eyebrows at you, before slumping down into his bed and rolling the blanket over his head.
“Goodnight, Bakugou.” You mumbled sweetly, already half-asleep. Something about Bakugou’s blanket just made you feel warm inside, it was like the mere feeling of him around you put you to sleep, but you didn’t mind.
He watched your eyes close as you drifted off into sleep, a small smile on your face. He let out a soft sigh, brushing your hair out of your face.
“Goodnight, midget.”
-
You jolted awake, letting out a quiet whimper as you hugged the blanket close and scanning the room for the black tall figure that was attacking you just mere seconds ago. It didn’t help that it was so dark and you tried to tell yourself it was silly, just a nightmare but it felt like it could reach out and grab you anytime.
You let out a scream that was soon muffled by someone’s hand as soon as you felt their light touch on your back.
Katsuki frowned, gently putting his hands on your shoulders.
“Hey, calm down…” He squeezed your shoulder gently, the warmth of the contact grounding you, alerting you to your surroundings.
Your eyes settled on him, your fearful expression morphing into a tired one, your breathing slowing to a normal pace. He gave you an amused look before looking away. “Nightmare?”
You nodded, looking down to the blanket he gave you. He didn’t miss the way you hugged it close to your chest.
He patted the space next to him on the bed, his expression looked softer but it was strange, as if his face wasn’t quite used to it. You proceeded to tilt your head in confusion, so he just took your blanket that you held so tightly and put it on the bed next to him, a light blush on his face.
Oh...
Your face heated up as thoughts continued to circle through your mind, each one making you more embarrassed.
“You looked scared, you dumbass. Do you wanna come or not?” He mouthed with fake annoyance.
You nodded stiffly, climbing onto the bed with him. He pulled the blanket over you, and pulled you into a hug. You stared up at him, your face becoming more like a tomato with each passing second, you opened your mouth to talk..then closed it again, wrapping your arms around him and letting yourself melt into the warmth of his arms.
He buried his hands in your hair, stroking it, the gentleness and comfort his touch offered lulling you to sleep.
Neither of you exchanged words that night, or the morning after, but you could both hear them loud and clear.
I love you.

Warnings: Implied child abuse, angst.
Word count: 1706
Pairing: Todoroki Shouto x Midoriya Izuku
Summary: Todoroki tells Midoriya about everything he’d gone through, and Izuku makes a promise.  Part 1 | Part 3
It’s been a month since Todoroki came to their school and things have been looking up for Midoriya Izuku. Sure, that didn’t make others stop bullying him, but at least it slowly became less. And most importantly, he finally made a friend. A decent one.
Todoroki was very strange sometimes, Midoriya noticed. Sometimes he’d be awfully quiet and zone out, a distant look in his eyes. Izuku would usually sit by him and wait it out, making sure to tell him if anything important happened.
The dual haired boy never mocked his dream of becoming a hero, despite him being quirkless. He believed in him and cheered him on because to him, Midoriya had everything a true hero ever needed, everything Endeavor had never had.
He also seemed to be really oblivious about certain things, but Izuku didn’t mind. He’d explain everything to him with a kind smile and a soft voice, and it always managed to reassure Shouto about his worries. He didn’t want to bother Midoriya, after all. He was very kind and nice, and he was also his first friend. He didn’t want to upset him by being dense as people called him.
Izuku soon learned that Shouto was a huge soba enthusiast so he’d get him cold soba sometimes, Todoroki’s face would soften, and a tiny (and shaky at first) smile would grace his features. Midoriya always made sure to get more of it, wanting to see that smile more often.
Nobody bothered Midoriya when Shouto walked with him, and that was something Izuku was grateful for, and Shouto always made sure to be with him for as long as he could, glaring at anyone who even thought of making a ‘funny’ comment about the green haired boy’s condition.
However, a thing that truly worried Midoriya was how Todoroki always seemed a bit bothered and sad whenever somebody talked about their parents. He noticed everything about Todoroki, but he never knew why he always seemed to get angry whenever his dad was mentioned. The Flame Hero was pretty amazing! Sure, he’d never be like All Might himself, but he was one of the top heroes and although he seemed mean, he was strong. He was a hero, right? So why would Shouto be upset? Was it that he wanted to spend more time with him?
He started to doubt that after a few days.
Shouto came to school with a burn mark on his arm. Izuku saw it, on accident, and he immediately tried to hide it, telling him it was ‘nothing’, but Midoriya knew better. It was a burn scar, only Shouto and Endeavour should be able to do that. Shouto wouldn’t hurt himself, at least he hoped so. He wouldn’t be able to take it if he actually found out Todoroki did it to himself. As much as he hoped it was an accident, the heterochromatic boy was very careful with his movements, so it was unlikely. So, the only thing left would be the Flame Hero...he always got mad when he heard his name, he flinched whenever somebody talked about his quirk..
No, it’s not possible, he wouldn’t do something like that.
It couldn’t be, right? Izuku was just overthinking, he was a hero, he’d never do something like that.
Or at least he thought, until one day, he found out the truth.
-
They sat on the bench near the school, it was one of those days where Shouto didn’t go home early and they’d either go have ice-cream or just sit somewhere comfortable. Midoriya wrapped an arm around Todoroki, smiling a bit. His friend wasn’t used to receiving affection, sadly, but he always made sure to be there and shower him with as much affection as he could give. However, he made sure not to overwhelm him. Todoroki liked hugging Izuku, though, and it always made the shorter one blush whenever the other said that.
Todoroki sighed, letting his head rest on Izuku’s shoulder. “Midoriya, for someone without a fire quirk, your hugs are always so warm...”
Izuku blushed slightly, taking a bite out of his food. “I-I’m glad you think so! That’s good, isn’t it? I hope it is!” He shouldn’t make assumptions about what others like, should he?
Todoroki nodded, burying his face in his shoulder, a soft whimper leaving his mouth. He could do this forever. It was silly sometimes, how much he liked to be with his new friend, how he liked everything about him. He always felt at peace with Midoriya, so why should he think about it so much? Both of them enjoyed each other’s presence, and that was enough for both of them.
But sometimes, some days, his mind was plagued by thoughts of one thing in particular. Izuku was always helpful, with him he could almost forget everything else around him and just pretend he was a normal person. But not today, and not the last few days either.
He’d wanted to tell him.
He’d wanted to tell him about Endeavor, he’d wanted to so many times.
Would he believe him? Would he tell anyone? Would he think of him differently after? Midoriya was obsessed with heroes, he saw them as great individuals who kept everyone safe, who sacrificed themselves for others. Should he shatter his perception just to find comfort in the one person he’s able to talk to? Was it worth it?
So many questions, and he could only guess the answers for each one of them.
“Todoroki-kun, are you alright? You seem really thoughtful…” Midoriya voiced hesitantly, not wanting to bother him by disrupting the quiet atmosphere.
Shouto squeezed his eyes shut, nodding into his shoulder. He...he should know the truth, right? He lied to him before, and Izuku was a great friend. He didn’t deserve to be lied to like that, he deserves better. Just a selfish excuse to tell him. It’s not like Endeavor deserved to be seen as a hero by Midoriya. Izuku would find out one time or another, the sooner the better. At least then he wouldn’t have to feel guilty for liking that old bastard.
He pulled back from the hug, looking away. “I need to tell you something, but first, promise not to tell anyone. Please.”
Izuku gulped, nodding. “I promise.”
“You’ve heard of quirk marriages, right?” His voice was distant, detached from any emotion. He didn’t want to have a breakdown in front of Izuku, or anyone, really.
Midoriya tilted his head in confusion, he hoped this wasn’t going where he thought it was. He gave him another quiet nod, gently putting a hand on his shoulder.
“He...paid my mother’s family to let him marry her, for the purpose of creating a perfect fusion between quirks. A half-hot, half-cold.” He gritted his teeth, taking a deep breath to calm himself down.
“I was the one who succeeded, out of the four of us. So he trained me, since I was five years old, so he could use me as a tool to surpass All Might.” He continued, he couldn’t stop his voice from shaking with the anger that’s been buried deep inside of him for far too long. “I hate it! ...I hate being no more than a tool for that human garbage. As I remember it, my mother was always crying...” He covered his scar with his left hand, staring at the floor, a deep frown on his face.
“‘That left side of yours is unsightly’, she said, right before throwing scalding water at my face.” He could swear his anger boiled more than the water his mother threw at his face that day, it felt as if he was about to explode at any given moment.
Midoriya trembled besides him, tearing up. Todoroki, who’d never hesitated to help him and be there for him. He’d gone through so much and I didn’t know. I couldn’t comfort him. How much of it still is still going on? And that burn- He took a shaky breath, letting himself gently wrap his arms around the dual haired boy, hugging him close. “I’m- I’m so sorry, Todoroki-kun. I’m sorry.” The other let his anger melt away in his arms, hugging back tightly, trying to stop shaking. I’m not going to cry. “It’s not- not your fault, it isn’t. I hid this from you, you couldn’t have known if I never told you.” Izuku hugged tighter, choking back a sob.
Todoroki was right, but it didn’t make it hurt any less to see his first real, true friend, go through things that nobody should ever have to. He didn’t want to see him get hurt like that, he didn’t want him to be so lonely and scared all the time. He knew he was scared from how he’d flinch whenever he touched something too hot on some days, whenever footage of the Pro-bastard Endeavor was shown he’d pale at the sight of him using his flames. He knew, why did he try to pretend he didn’t?
He felt his hold on Shouto tighten protectively, even if he was ‘weak’, even if he was quirkless, even if he was Deku. He’d be there for him. He’d do everything he could, he’d be his hero. That’s what he needed. Someone who could be there for him and a hero, a real hero. He wanted to be that for him.
Shouto calmed down eventually, his eyes were squeezed shut as he buried his face into Izuku’s shoulder and let his arms shield him from the world as if he were still a tiny child, and in Midoriya’s arms, he felt like one.
Izuku gently ran his fingers through his soft hair, red strands bleeding into white ones. He whimpered at the gentleness of his touch, how it always managed to soothe his worries away, how it never hurt.
They sat there for a long time, perhaps longer than they should have, but the embrace remained just as tight.
“When...when I’m a Pro-hero, I’ll make sure he could never hurt you again. I promise.” He said softly, and Todoroki nodded. He never lied to him, he always kept his promises, and he knew he’d keep this one too. He just knew.
“I trust you, Midoriya.”

todoroki’s probably never seen a vine ever, so it’s up to his s/o (extra points if they’re denki’s sibling) to force him to watch them so that whenever one says something, the other can finish it (and get denki to have a cardiac arrest the first time he does it) (there’s also a comic around that shows todoroki dabbing in front of denki and goes ‘no one will believe you’)
Okay, okay. I was just as confused as Todoroki because I barely know any vines, I’m really bad at this lmfao. So I asked @randomstuff7739 for help because she’s not a grandma. This is the most ironic post I have ever posted. I wanted to write it as a scenario at first but since I’m clueless it’s just going to be a small HCs post, but I tried!
-
Shouto was oblivious and clueless about many things, and you out of all people knew how clueless he was. So, as his S/O, you took it upon yourself to help him a bit. And you did it in your own way.
You may or may not have been biased, but you decided to start with vines. Everyone loved vines, right? It would benefit him, and they were funny too!
At first, he had no clue what was going on. He just watched with you because it made you happy, occasionally asking you questions. His confused face was cute though, you had to admit.
Eventually, he started to catch on and he began to enjoy them more as he understood them. Sometimes you’d quote some in front of him and his face would lighten up a bit in recognition as he asks you if you were quoting the video you two watched a few days ago. When you nod, you could see a little smile on his face. He loved making you happy, and he made an effort to understand them and remember them, and they were funny to him too. It was a win-win situation.
One day you said half of the vine, but didn’t finish it. He stared for a moment, then realized that you were waiting for him to say it. He quietly said the other half, a small smile on his face that only got wider as you gave him a peck on the cheek.
As time went on, it was like second nature to him. You said half, and he quickly finished the other. It never failed to make you smile.
Occasionally he’d remember them and snicker softly to himself, and sometimes he would even say them out loud. One time though, and only one time, Denki heard him. He stood there in utter disbelief, a shocked look on his face. He asked Todoroki if he just said something, and the other just shook his head. Denki immediately ran back to the Bakusquad to tell them what he just heard, but no one believed what he was saying. Todoroki? Quoting a vine? Nonsense.
After that, Shouto would quote one quietly when only Denki was around every once in a while, and he’d always deny saying anything, enjoying the disbelief and confusion written all over Denki’s face. To this day, nobody else found out.

Warnings: Bullying.
Word count: 981
Pairing: Todoroki Shouto x Midoriya Izuku
Summary: Shouto and Midoriya go to the same middle school. Part 2 | Part 3
Tumblr media
It was Izuku’s first day in middle school and he was anxious, excited, and many other things but...he was wary of one thing in particular. His childhood friend, Kacchan, was also going to the same school.
He admired Kacchan, his resolve, strength, his powerful quirk but at the same time he didn’t like being bullied. Nobody did, right? It wasn’t fair.
He sighed, managing a smile as he walked towards the school gate. He’d hope for the best, just like he always did.
-
Lunch break had just started, and it wasn’t going well at all for Izuku. Not only did the kids make fun of him for being a nerd, but Kacchan got mad at him and exploded his favorite pencil! He liked that one, it was a gift from his teacher from elementary school. It made him feel good about himself, and he liked taking it everywhere with him. He took back the pieces he could, tears streaming down his face as he picked them up and gently put them inside his pencil case.
He hugged himself tightly, curled up on his seat, trying to muffle his sobs. This wasn’t going to be good at all and it was just the first day…
He felt someone gently tap his shoulder, making him jump.
He waved his hands wildly, an apologetic—and rather terrified—look on his face. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bother you with my crying, I-I’ll stop now! I just-!”
The other gently put a finger to his mouth to shush him. “I’m not annoyed with you, I...found this.”
He held out a small green wooden splinter. “I noticed you were trying to find as many pieces as you could. Was it important to you?”
Izuku calmed down, staring at the dual haired boy in front of him in complete awe, a light blush on his cheeks as he nodded and took it from him. He wipes his tears away, smiling at the other boy in front of him. “I...it was a gift from someone I care about. Thank you…” He said softly, fidgeting. “U-um, what’s your name? I’m Midoriya Izuku!” He hoped he could at least befriend this person. He seemed nice, and kind. But maybe that’s because he didn’t know how useless he was. Last time that happened he got punched in the face for ‘lying to his friend’.
“Todoroki Shouto.” The boy—Todoroki—sat next to him, glaring intensely at the desk, he seemed to be deep in thought so Midoriya muffled a gasp of surprise. It was the Flame Hero’s son! What would his quirk be? He’d be super powerful and amazing and he’d have lots of cool friends and-
“That was wrong. He shouldn’t have done that. I thought you two were friends, friends aren’t supposed to do that.” He spoke bitterly, snapping Midoriya out of his thoughts.
“I-it’s okay, I’m used to it. Kacchan’s just like that.” It was the truth, he was used to Bakugou’s treatment, and at this point...it felt weird to expect anything better. Besides, it wasn’t as if it was just Bakugou. Everyone treated him that way, so maybe that was just how it was always going to be...at least...until he got better. Maybe he just had to work harder.
“It’s not. You act like he does worse, that’s not something a friend would do at all. He made you cry, does that really sound like a thing a true friend would do?” Shouto asked. He didn’t know what it was about Midoriya, but he hated seeing him cry. He didn’t know much about friends, but he’d read about them. Midoriya deserved a better friend, even if he’d only seen the green haired boy for less than a day, he could already tell how kind and good he was. It wasn’t hard really, he cried over a damn pen.
Midoriya stared back at him, an innocent smile on his face. “I...I guess not. Sorry, I just- it’s okay because I’m-” “Because you’re quirkless? How does that make it okay?” He asked, because he didn’t agree with that notion at all. All it did was remind him of how he was made to be strong, to be stronger than All Might just so he could beat him. That was all his father cared about, quirks and strength...he hated that there were other people out there who were like that, even if it wasn’t as extreme.
Izuku stared for a bit, trying to formulate an answer, but Shouto spoke again.
“It’s not okay. You didn’t do anything wrong, and your value as a person isn’t tied to your quirk. You didn’t choose to be born that way and it shouldn’t affect your worth. You’re working harder than any of us here, and you should be appreciated for it.” He said it, because it felt like the right thing to say. And it apparently was because the next thing that happened was Izuku wrapping his arms around him in a tight embrace, sobbing into his shirt. He didn’t know how to deal with crying people, so he awkwardly patted his back until Izuku calmed down.
The boy pulled back, wiping his tears and gave him a smile that shone as brightly as the Sun itself. His green eyes looked so full of emotion and happiness and it made Todoroki feel warm inside, a kind of warmth that he’d long since forgotten.
“C-can we be friends?” Midoriya asked hesitantly, a hopeful look on his face that he, for once, won’t be rejected and will be allowed to know what true friendship feels like.
Todoroki nodded, brushing Izuku’s hair out of his face. “Yeah...I’d like that.” It’ll be a long way for Todoroki to be able to give him a smile of his own, but for now, Midoriya’s smile shone bright enough for the two of them.

Warnings: Swearing.
Pairing: Todoroki Shouto x Reader
Word count: 2005
Anonymous:  this can be either platonic or romantic, but, todoroki’s friend/s/o just fighting endeavor (with her tongue and witty words) and the entire family’s there for that- like she’s now apart of the family and can go to family dinners and stuff, you’re not doing financially well? oh, that’s weird how did a frack ton of money just appear? you have a bad family, screw them just live here we already have a room for you. being bullied- oh boy is he in the hospital
A/N: Aaa, this was nice to write! It’s a cute idea, but i was in an angsty mood so I tried very hard to keep the fluffy atmosphere and I hope I did it right! I was originally going to do it like a small headcanons post or a very small scenario thing but here we are. Thank you for the request!!
Tumblr media
You and Todoroki have been dating for a few months now, and usually, it would mean that you should’ve at least met his family once. But Todoroki wasn’t a very common case, you learned, and you were still learning with each day you spent with him.
It took him a while to open up to you at first, but you were patient with him. When you found out about..well, everything, you were glad you were.
Apparently nothing was beneath the Number One Bastard as you dubbed him now, and you were disappointed. Your blood boiled whenever you saw him on screen, whenever people praised him as if he weren’t the bastard he truly is. You couldn’t blame them, but it still upset you.
You couldn’t imagine how bad it must be for him to constantly be told how amazing and heroic his abuser was. How people wanted to see him grow up to be a ‘great hero like him.’ Every time that happened you found a way to end the conversation and go back where you two could be alone, so you could give him the most reassuring hug you could give. It was your best, and it was enough for him- that’s what he said.
You both already did so much to keep your relationship on the low, and although he told you that Endeavor changed, you understood why he was still anxious. Back then, anything his father saw as a distraction had to be removed so Shouto could stay focused on the goal he had in mind for him, and he was afraid of losing you, even if it seemed unlikely now.
So when he came to tell you that you were going to see that bastard, you were worried. “Why? I thought you didn’t want him to know?” You asked softly, sitting next to him, your hand gently running through his soft, fluffy hair.
He melted into the touch, his arms gently wrapping around you as he cuddled closer to you. Todoroki desired affection, having been starved from it at a very young age, and you were glad to offer. It still made you smile how he looked so cute cuddling close to you like a small child, and he had a way of making it look very cute, but you didn’t know his secret yet.
He sighed, “He found out.”
“Oh.” Came your intelligent reply. You took a deep breath, pulling him closer. “It’s alright, it’ll be okay. I’ll make sure nothing goes wrong, alright? Besides, even if he decides to be an asshole I won’t let him! I’m not training to be a hero for nothing! I’ll be there for you, Shoucchan.” You said encouragingly as you held him close. You’d make sure nothing goes wrong.
-
You were serious about everything you said that time, and your words manifested into actions a few days later during your visit.
Shouto’s sister was present, and you were honestly glad. She was just as great as Shouto had told you, she was kind and very humble. Unlike some people.
He asked you about your family, your quirk, your internship, your grades- it frustrated you to no end. You hated sitting around and being interrogated like some sort of criminal. Fuyumi tried her best to lighten up the atmosphere, but it didn’t do much. It didn’t help that you already hated him before coming here, and seeing him in person just elevated those feelings. He may have changed, ever so slightly, but he still bothered you. Whenever you saw him you couldn’t help but think of the man he was to Shouto and his family. Sure, maybe you shouldn’t have reacted so strongly to his mere presence, but you did.
Just as he opened his mouth to ask another question, you stood up, glaring at him with utter disgust and all that anger you’ve been trying to bury deep inside you this whole time. “Enough!” You could see the Todoroki siblings stiffen in their seats while Endeavor looked shocked for a moment at your outburst, before glaring right back at you, daring you to continue.
“You’re not checking the specifications for some headphones for God’s sake! I didn’t come here to be interrogated. You’re so entitled for someone who doesn’t have enough common sense to deal with a five year old, dammit!” His eyes widened slightly at the last comment, knowing exactly what you were hinting at, but you weren’t done yet. No, you were just getting started.
“People put you on a pedestal as if you were some sort of God, but you’re only a selfish bastard who doesn't care about anyone but himself, and you know it! You’re-” Shouto gently put a hand on your shoulder, giving you a gentle squeeze to calm you down, whispering quietly. “Y/N, it’s fine. How about we leave? I’ll tell Fuyu you liked the food, and maybe we can all go meet up later if you want.” He suggested calmly, trying to deescalate the situation.
You grit your teeth, then nodded, letting out a huff of disappointment. You were mad, yes, but you weren’t going to upset Shouto. You glanced back at his bastard of a father, then frowned upon noticing the guilt in his eyes. You felt bad, you shouldn’t feel so bad for someone like him but you weren’t some heartless monster.
You sighed softly as you walked out with Todoroki, hoping Fuyumi-san could forgive you, you really wanted to show her more appreciation for the food she prepared, but the damage was already done. You just wanted to get out of there before you could mess things up more. However, you do admit that yelling at him felt nice. He deserved getting called out on his bullshit for once.
Todoroki took your hand in his as he led you out and walked aimlessly with you in the quiet streets of Musutafu. He was silent for a few minutes, and you were worried you had upset him, then he spoke up as a soft smile tugged at his face.
“Thank you, Y/N.” He said, stopping and turning to fully face you, squeezing your hand gently.
You blushed slightly at the comment, you expected him to be upset at you for ruining things, it’s not like he wanted to invite you to dinner, but you thought he would’ve preferred it if nothing like that had happened. It wasn’t the best first impression after all.
“You...I was anxious at first, when we went there, but after what you did…” He smiled wider, his heterochromatic eyes conveying too many emotions at once for you to understand, but his love and admiration for you were clear as day.
“I love you, so much. You’re always ready to do anything for me, and I want you to know that I’d always be willing to do the same. And I want to apologize for never telling him to stop, but back then I-”
You tackled him in a tight hug, tiptoeing to kiss his cheek, catching him off guard. “First off, you don’t need to thank me, I’d be glad to do that any day, you know. I love you too, Shoucchan. I know it must’ve been stressful for you, so you don’t need to apologize, alright? I know that you’ll be there for me when I need you to be, you always are.” You mumbled quietly as he held you, arms tightly wrapped around you in a gentle, warm embrace as the snow continued to fall around you both.
“I know. I’m not upset that you did that, I’m just...surprised, impressed even.” He chuckled softly, holding you tighter, warming his left side slightly and making you cuddle closer to him.
He buried his face in your hair, closing his eyes.“People are always intimidated by him and his status as the Number One hero, I was just...shocked to see someone scream at him like that.” He murmured softly, his tone fond as his warm fingers ran through your hair in the cold winter. You smiled, hugging him tighter. “You should’ve listened when I told you I didn’t give a shit about his hero rank.” You commented, smirking slightly as you pressed another kiss to his cheek. He looked so pretty during winter for some reason, and there was always something about his cheeks that made you want to kiss him. He looked so soft...like a small little child. It suited him, he was so sweet and cute, he might as well be one himself.
He nodded, his eyes looking directly into yours, his thumb gently brushing against your lower lip. “I’m so lucky, aren’t I?” Before you could even think of a response, you felt his lips softly press against yours, his arms wrapped around your waist and lifting you up. You closed your eyes, kissing back, letting your hands cup his soft face as the blush on your cheeks only got brighter. You could see a light blush on his cheeks once you opened your eyes again to stare back at his.
Then, you decided to break silence, clearing your throat as you noticed people looking at the couple who just randomly kissed in the street. And maybe the prettiest boy they’ll ever see.
“So..cold soba?” You said, your face flushed in embarrassment.
He nodded with a smile. “Cold soba.”
-
A few weeks and family meetings —Excluding Endeavour—later, you and the Todoroki’s have begun getting closer, especially you and the oldest brother, Natsuo.
You would hang out with them, and maybe stay over sometimes at Fuyumi’s insistence, and they were good company. When Shouto mentioned the first meeting with Endeavour to Natsuo in front of you, you weren’t sure what to expect, but certainly not a “Ha, he had it coming!”. And with that, your friendship blossomed.
He would do your homework for you sometimes, and even drive you to places, and in turn, you and him would have some relatively harmless fun at the flame hero’s expense.
For instance, there was this one day where he told you he needed you for an important task, and you decided to go and meet him up near Endeavor’s place, and he stood there with some eggs, a mischievous grin on his face as he told you he wanted you to egg his father’s house with him.
Truth to be said, it was an important task, and you weren’t disappointed.
Fuyumi on the other hand, enjoyed seeing Shouto happy with you. She loved her siblings, and she’d do anything to ensure that they were happy, and seeing Shouto smile and laugh with you around made her happier than anything else. She wasn’t a fan of arguments but she never got upset with you because of it. Fuyumi would make you chocolate chip cookies, and give you some each week, she was like a second mother to you, except better.
She was also smart, and a teacher, so you went to her with advice a lot and she always helped. She helped you correct grammatical errors in your essays, which you were endlessly grateful for because you were always busy with your work study.
The two of your would go shopping together sometimes, and whenever your gaze lingered on something for too long, she noticed. She was more observant than you’d given her credit for at first, but it was a pleasant surprise when she got you that black coat you’d wanted to buy back at the store with her.
When they moved out after Shouto started working with his friends, they invited you over more, and you always felt right at home there...they never made you feel pressured to participate in activities you didn’t want to, or act a certain way. It felt like being with your family, but different.
It was a nice kind of different, you told yourself, a content smile on your face as you and Fuyumi watched a cute cartoon movie about gems.
Yeah, a nice kind.

Warnings: None, just pure fluff!
Pairing: Bakugou Katuski x Reader
Word count: 1128
Summary: Sleep deprivation is difficult and you can’t keep up.
Tumblr media
You sat on the couch in the common room, popping chips in your mouth as you stared at the TV screen in front of you.
It was five in the morning, and it was too early to wake up, but too late to go back to sleep so you decided to just sit there until somebody woke up.
You already went to bed late, and with the constant nightmares it was extremely difficult to get a good amount of sleep for you to function the next day. It didn’t help at all that you felt sick, this really wasn’t going too well for you. But you couldn’t just laze around, it’s already hard keeping up with your peers and missing even just one day could mess things up!
Too engrossed in your thoughts, you didn’t hear the rather loud footsteps of a certain spiky haired gremlin.
“Oi, why’re you up so early, midget?” He wasn’t as loud as usual, which was something you were thankful for. However,  it still managed to snap your attention to him, making you flinch a little.
You didn’t know why he’d be up so early in the morning, but then again he slept at nine so you couldn’t really question him, it was a healthy amount of sleep. Unlike the amount you usually got.
“Couldn’t sleep.” If you were going to be honest with yourself, you only managed to get a solid two hours before you started getting hit by nightmares whenever you tried to go back to sleep. It honestly felt like you were cursed.
“So you just sat here? Idiot.”
You laughed a little, closing your eyes to ‘relax them’ a bit, hoping it’ll make you feel better.
“Coffee or tea?” He called from the kitchen, which made you blink and stare at him a bit in confusion. He wasn’t usually so generous, he must be in a good mood then...or he’s planning to kick someone’s ass later.
You decided not to question it, slowly walking over to him, tripping twice on your way to the damn kitchen. Going to school doesn’t sound like a good idea now, but it was too late to do anything about it, you can manage.
“Tea, please.” He nodded, watching you rest your head on the kitchen counter. He huffed, shutting off the stove as the kettle started whistling. He got used to that, knowing how much it upset Todoroki. You admired that in him, how he deeply cared about his friends. He sure sucked with words, but he had his actions to show for it.
“What kind?” He said, a bit louder, maybe it’s because you looked so sleepy..? “Black.” You mumbled, smiling as you watched him move around and make the tea...there was a lot about Bakugou Katsuki that you liked, aside from the fact that he was literally good at everything he does.
He slid your mug over to you, and you took it in your hands. It was hot, but not too bad really...you liked to hold it when it was hot because it made you warm, like hugs do. You really needed one now.
The two of you sat down on the couch, to which he gave you an “irritated sigh” for sitting next to him, which just made you chuckle because you’d seen him do it whenever one of his friends would follow him around or sit next to him.
“Thanks.” You said, looking at your hands, trying to avoid his gaze. “Tch, whatever. You should get more sleep, I don’t want to have to carry you back if you pass out.” You felt your face burn slightly, nodding. He was concerned, at least..a bit. Maybe you were just telling yourself that, but still. It was a lot coming from Bakugou out of all people.
You finished your tea, gently putting it down on the table and getting up to make a sandwich. Bad choice, actually, a horrible one. Black coated the edges of your blurry vision, as you swayed. If you had an ounce of self-preservation you would’ve remembered how horrible it is to stand up too fast, yet here you were.
Bakugou caught you before you could fall, then picked you up, going upstairs. “Hey...what the heck?” You wanted to thank him for catching you but you were also extremely confused. Why was he doing this? Actually, what exactly was he doing?
“I’m taking you to your damn room, dumbass.” He growled, but it still sounded surprisingly affectionate coming from him.
“I’m okay, really. I just stood up too fast!”  It was the truth, right?
“Haah? You can’t even stand up! What are you going to do when we go to class, huh?”
You had to admit, he was right. And the fact that he was doing this for you was...nice. It was hard to say not to him, especially when he’s doing, well, this.
You huffed in defeat, because as much as you hated resting, you needed to rest. It’s not like you’d be able to do much when you go, but you were still worried.
He gently put you down on your bed, and you couldn’t help but blush, he...he was cute? He’d kill you if he heard that, though.
“I’ll give you my damn notes, just go back to sleep and I’ll tell Aizawa-sensei. But don’t think I’ll do that again! This is just a chance for you to fix your messed up sleep schedule.” His voice was a bit softer, as he looked away from you, a light blush on his cheeks.
Damn it, Kirishima. Shitty hair’s advice was working, but he hated how hard it was! Being soft...he wasn’t the best with that, he needed more practice. But how does one do that?!
“Okay...I’ll do that, I promise. Th..thank you, I mean it!”  You grinned softly at him, blushing brighter.  He’s giving you his notes! Isn’t that great? Maybe you can spend extra time with him later, and you’ll also get your sleep. Maybe then you can tell him, and...and maybe he likes you back too? Hopefully. He looked back at you, his expression softening as he saw your grin. “Sure.”
He sighed, unfolding your blanket and draping it over you. He should really watch more movies with Raccoon eyes and Dunce face, maybe then it wouldn’t be so hard.
You smiled softly at him, the warmth of your blanket and your exhaustion winning you over as your eyes closed, your breathing slower as you began to drift off to sleep. He stared at you for a bit, to make sure you were going to sleep, then left quietly.
You yawned, hugging your blanket closer, whispering.
“I love you.”

My hero.
Tumblr media
Word count: 1.1k
Warnings: Some angst.
Summary: Five year old Shouto Todoroki blames himself for everything because it’s what he does best. (Don’t worry there’s fluff)
Tumblr media
He could hear her soft, poorly muffled sobs as he hid behind the door, not wanting her to see him just yet.
He didn't know why his mommy was crying, but he felt bad. He felt as if somehow, even if he didn't do anything to directly cause it, it was his fault that his mommy was sad.
He snuck a glance at her crying form, feeling a sharp pang of guilt cut through his chest. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to hug her, to make her feel better, like she always did for him...but would it really work?
Whenever Rei looked at him, there was always a hint of sadness in her eyes. It was something he could never will away, no matter what he did. Even her smiles were sad. He didn't want his mommy to be so sad all the time, but she was.
It all started when he got his quirk. He'd been so happy at first, showing it off to his siblings, then her...but she wasn't as happy as he was. There was something off about her smile, the way she hugged him close to her chest, almost as if she were afraid to let go. He didn't understand what was wrong back then, not knowing that his quirk would ruin not only his life, but hers too.
He wished he never had a quirk, if he didn't have one then he wouldn't be so awful to them. His mother wouldn't be crying day and night, he would've been able to see his siblings, he'd go to school and make friends like they did… but he deserved it. It was his fault. If he never had a quirk, then no one would've gotten hurt. His mommy wouldn't be upset.
He gently pushed the door open, tears welling up in his eyes as he looked at the marble floor. He tried his best not to break into tears in front of her, not wanting to upset her further, but it was so difficult.
Rei immediately quieted down as she noticed his presence, wiping her tears as quickly as she could. A strained smile that never quite reached her eyes decorated her pale face as she turned towards him, her voice soft and gentle, full of concern he never earned.
"Shouto…?" Her face morphed into one of worry, but he didn’t want to make her feel like that. She shouldn't be worried about him. Not when he caused all of this.
"I'm sorry, m-mommy." He sniffled, biting his lip, silent tears streaming down his cheeks as he glared at the floor as if it were his worst enemy as his guilt gnawed at his fragile, small heart.
Rei looked at her five-year-old son as he mumbled tearful apologies, trying his best to hold back his sobs. It broke her heart to see her child like this, to see her precious, innocent Shouto who deserved the world apologizing for something that was never his fault in the first place.
She kneeled down in front of the dual haired boy, wrapping her arms around him, enveloping him in a sense of safety and a familiar warmth he could only feel in her arms.
She felt Shouto's tiny hands grab onto her and hug her as tightly as his small form allowed him, burying her face in her chest as he sobbed, mumbling soft, broken apologies to her.
She hugged tighter, hoisting him up on one arm, her free hand cupping the back of his head, her fingers running through his soft hair as she shushed him gently.
"You shouldn't be sorry baby, it's not your fault, all right? You did nothing wrong, none of this was ever your fault." She whispered softly in his ears as she held him close, shielding him from the world and his thoughts.
He couldn't help but let himself relax as he felt her hand move through his hair, her arms wrapped around him in a gentle yet tight embrace that he could never get enough of. His breathing slowed as he felt himself calm down, tears no longer pouring out of his eyes.
Her hand brushed against his cheeks, wiping his tears away as she pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. "I love you, Shouto, you know that. You're never the cause behind my sadness, in fact, you're one of the few things that can still bring a smile to my face. Your mommy loves you so much. I want you to always know that, okay?"
She felt him grip her shirt tighter for a moment, hesitating. "B-but...but you... you're always sad. You've always b-been sad since I got my quirk. If I didn't have it th-then you-" He felt tears prick at his eyes again, hugging her tighter.
"Shh, you know that wasn't your fault. It wasn't your choice. But you know what is?" He looked up at her, tilting his head which just earned him a soft smile from her as she cupped his face with her hand. "You choose what you do with it. And I know you'll only do good things with it, Shouto. Because you're kind, caring and brave. You make mommy so proud."
He felt a strange wave of emotion wash over him as he started up at her, his eyes widening with each word. Then his eyes dropped to her smile, and this time...it looked different. It was the same loving smile she always gave him, but for once, it didn't look so sad anymore. Her eyes were filled with pride and love for him, and somehow, it was enough for all his fears and worries to go away.
"I love you, mommy." He buried his face in her neck, closing his eyes and letting his body relax against his one source of comfort and safety.
"I love you too, baby. Remember that for me, okay?"
He didn't understand why she asked him to remember, but he nodded into her neck. He knew how much his mommy loved him, he’d never be able to forget that even if he tried.
"I wanna be a hero, like All Might," He whispered softly, relaxing further. "so I could protect you. I’ll make sure no one else gets hurt. I'll be a great hero, and you'll be safe and you'll never get hurt again!" He would do all he could just to make sure she’s safe, just like she’s always done for him.
She smiled a bit wider, pulling him closer as she looked at him fondly, warmth filling her chest. "And you will be the best hero ever, Shouto. I know you’ll be."
And that was all he ever needed to hear.
