As a dimension hopper myself... it's kind of a shock to see people from different dimensions decide to start living here, y'know. -N.Caged.

Sir? Me? Oh. Well hello there. Aren't you that host of the Cortex hate club? Forgive me, I could very easily be mistaken. As for your questions, you'll have to pardon my limited knowledge. I wasn't exactly the most well traveled back in my home dimension, but I will offer what I can recall.

Let's see... I existed within the Shell solar system, a system consisting of 4 planets revolving around a sun which was surrounded by a field of nebula; much like a shell. Interesting, isn't it? Only two of the planets were actually habitable, Laim and Jezuit; the former being the center of industry and production while the latter was considered more of a leisure planet. I never did get to visit it myself, but all the posters that weren't vandalized pictured it as a dream getaway. Suppose it would have been shoddy advertising otherwise. Ah well. Would have been too expensive to travel anyhow, and the shuttles only ran when the orbit aligned to save on fuel.

Now Laim was where I lived, specifically in the urbanized sectors of Orne. It's hard to miss, really, given much of civilization was concentrated in one section. Outside of that? Fertile land for farming and a deep cavern on the opposite side of the planet for mining. There really wasn't much outside of the cities to speak of. You didn't really leave for no good reason. If you didn't have a job or weren't incarcerated in the mines, in the city you remain. Can't say the methods of production used out there sounded very friendly either. I constantly heard the news talk about how the planet was dying, being stripped entirely of its resources. We really were just running the rodent races while the rich and bored plotted their perfect little paradise on Jezuit.

If you truly felt so inclined as to look for yourself, I'd consider giving you the coordinates, but I won't offer any further guidance. I'm not going back, not with everything I lost just to be here.

Punishment, for What? || Damien & Genevieve

Damien’s mind was reeling. How did he end up here? Like this? None of it seemed fair. He kept his head down, he didn’t rebel. Maybe, he didn’t take advantage of certain aspects of this place like some did, but did that make him so bad? He didn’t think so. He wasn’t perfect, after all. He’d made some mistakes in his time here. 

But, as he knelt before Genevieve, his sight and sense of hearing impaired, he couldn’t help but feel like maybe he did deserve this. Maybe, this was his wrongdoings catching up to him. He wasn’t a huge believer in karma, but maybe there was a flicker of belief in there, now.

He swallowed hard, waiting for the punishment that he knew was inevitable. He didn’t know who it was, or what they were capable of, but he just hoped he could keep it together after all of this.
