I decided to take drawing more seriously and try to make an actual complete piece. So here it is ^u^

While scrolling, I found some concept art of playable Cyber elf X, and fell in love xD

So I decided to draw this piece; it was mostly practice for me to test out the brushes and my digital limits. (I usually draw in black and white on paper, so this was tough, but rewarding -w-)

Originally, the idea for the background would be a void-like cyberspace bg, but a friend suggested a sunset.

The idea here is that Cyber elf x is falling from… robot heaven? Armed and ready. So ye.

first of all, you’re so real, the glassheart brain rot is actually driving me insane. Second, I would absolutely love if you could write something in which Red is falling behind on her classes because she’s not used to the dynamic of it since she was homeschooled all her life and Chloe offering to tutor her and Red reluctantly agrees and they’re just flirty and cute around each other!

Lol real!! The brain rot is immeasurable at this point. Also I know you said fluff but there may or may not be some angst in the middle. I hope I did you idea justice!! I loved the concept and I just wanted to keep writing but I hope this will suffice for now.

We're In This Together

Red was doodling absentmindedly while waiting for the bell to end her suffering. Her worksheet acted as her canvas while the questions stood neglected and ignored. It wasn’t that she was purposely trying to fail but between the classwork, homework, and lectures she found it hard to believe anyone could give their one hundred percent all the time. Well, anyone aside from Chloe that is, because of course she could manage to excel socially, physically, and academically that was just who she was. Princess perfect. It was funny how one thought could veer Red’s thoughts off completely as her mind was suddenly filled with images of the blue-haired girl.

Her pencil gracefully guided across the page, and if anyone asked she had not started outlining a small drawing of the princess in her daze. The bell eventually rang throughout the classroom prompting students to turn in their assignments, or in Red’s case her sketches when the teacher stopped her from exiting with everyone else. “Red. What is this?” Her teacher asked unimpressed as she held up the young girl’s worksheet annoyed. “It’s called creative expression, is art not a thing in Auradon or are you just stupid?” Red replied trying for nonchalance. Bad idea. Red’s teacher glared at her in offense before placing a zero on her paper and Red couldn’t help but wince despite the predictable outcome. Chloe was not going to like this.

By the time Red approached her and Chloe’s shared dorm the thought of what happened earlier had all but faded to the back of her mind replaced with the relief of finally being back in their room after a long day. “Hey princess” She greeted not even needing to look up to know that Chloe was there, she always waited for Red to return home, to return to her. “Afternoon” she greeted with a gentle smile as  Red collapsed onto her bed chuckling slightly at her theatrics. “Long day?” The charming questioned as Red just groaned into her pillow in response, she did this every day, and as adorable as a sleepy Red was after school to Chloe, they both had work to do. “Do you have homework?” Chloe questioned spinning around in her chair to face the red-head who just hummed in denial lifting her head to face Chloe as well. “Oh really?” Chloe questioned deciding to play along with her girlfriend “So if I were to check your folder right now…” Chloe started jokingly creeping towards her girlfriend's bag as Red shot up from her resting spot in fear, but she was too late, the princess had already swiped her folder from the bag giggling at Red’s reaction as a packet slipped out.

Red stared horrified at the sheet as Chloe’s smile shifted to worry at the sudden change in atmosphere. “Red? Are you alright?” Chloe questioned as Red’s eyes snapped back to Chloe hoping she hadn’t noticed her line of sight. She couldn’t really grasp why she was so worried, Chloe knew that school wasn’t her strong suit, all the classes, and work, it was infuriating. But even so, the thought of Chloe seeing her struggle, and somehow thinking less of her for it filled her with dread. Unfortunately for her, Chloe was great at telling what her girlfriend was thinking. “I can tell that you’re hiding something love,  your problems are our problems remember?” Chloe asked taking her girlfriend’s hands gently in hers as Red sighed, she knew better than to hide things from Chloe, especially when she looked at her like that. She quickly grabbed the papers from off the ground and hesitantly handed it to her girlfriend not looking her in the eye. Chloes’ eyes widened a bit in surprise before simply sighing in disappointment before tossing the paper to the side. “Red” she stated as the girl in question refused to meet her eyes “It wasn’t my fault” she defended before Chloe could say anything. “It’s not like they covered the science of chopping someone’s head off”

“Or how much force had to be applied” Red continued remembering the way her mom had forced her to watch.

“Red” Chloe called out again realizing she was losing her.

“Or how to calculate how far they’d rolled in inches” She continued her breathing picking up in a way It only did when she was starting to panic.

“Red!” Chloe called raising her voice a bit causing Red to flinch violently as Chloe kept her hands up trying to coax Red back to the present. “That’s it, deep breaths” Chloe stated softly as she demonstrated the act to which Red attempted to mirror. “I’m not mad” Chloe stated after she felt Red was calm enough to continue on her own “You’re not?” Red asked her voice still a little shakey from the panic in a way that made Chloe’s heart break. Did she really believe something so small could destroy her view of her? “Of course not” Chloe replied taking Red’s hand in hers “I’m just worried about you Red, it’s like you never even try and I can tell there’s something more to it than you just not caring.” Red’s brows furrowed as she snatched her hand back crossing her arms “Right, because you know everything” Red replied defensively as Chloes’ frown deepened. “That’s not fair, you know that’s not what I meant” Chloe replied sternly making sure to keep her voice free from any malice, she knew that it wasn’t her that Red was angry at.

“I’m not stupid Chloe, It’s not my fault. All of this is just so much” Red insisted unsure of why she was so angry, it was one mistake she’d had plenty more where that came from but this was different. Suddenly Chloe was holding her tightly her arms wrapping tightly around Red’s shaking figure “Then let me help you. Don’t you get it? We’re in this together whether  you like it or not and that’s never going to change so you can either give up and let me help you or we can sit here and cuddle until you do.” Chloe stated matter-of-factly as Red couldn’t help but smile at her girlfriend leaning into her embrace as she gave her a peck on the cheek. “Both are very tempting offers Princess” Red stated as Chloe struggled to come up with an intelligible response while her head was still reeling from the kiss. “Yeah well… whatever” Chloe responded giving up on coming up with any logical response with Red wrapped around her like this. “I think I know how to help though” Chloe quickly stated before adding “but I don’t think you’re going to like it.”

Chloe was right, she didn’t like this at all “No” Red replied simply for the hundredth time. “Come on, at least give it a shot. Tutoring could help, and I don’t mind putting aside the extra time” Chloe insisted also for the hundredth time, but Red didn’t budge, perhaps it was time to switch strategies. Chloe sighed dramatically catching Red’s attention “I know what you’re doing. It’s not going to work” Red stated arms crossed refusing to give in, even though everything inside was telling her to do whatever it took to turn her adorable pout into her gorgeous smile. “What do you mean?” Chloe asked innocently as Red did a complete about-face so as to not look her in the eye much to Chloe’s dissatisfaction. “Please? It would be nice to have someone to study next to during long nights, and barely anyone visits the library so it gets so lonely and boring” Chloe stated as Red struggle not to give in to her words.

“Not to mention with swords and shields practice we see each other less and less, who knows when we’ll get to have more moments where it’s just the two of us” Chloe whined as she watched with a hint of amusement at how Red had started fidgeting to keep herself from giving in. “But I mean I guess I won't force you, I just thought with how busy we’ve been, and how much I’ve missed you, some time for just you and me to spend alone with no distractions for a few hours sounded a bit tempting” Screw it “Fine I’ll do it” Red stated hating that Chloe knew exactly how to make her crack while said girl just squealed in delight pulling her in for a kiss. Fine, maybe this tutoring thing won’t be all bad.

So I was thinking about that Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals AU of yours... And then I thought about Frederick's backstory and realized he might actually WANT to be part of a musical hivemind. In the hive, people actually like his music. He's a part of something. He doesn't have to worry about the noise in his head because it's full of music and singing and choreography...

Or at least that would be his reasoning in an AU where the musical zombie virus happened in the Otleus Manor and Frederick was patient zero.

Hi! I love your art a lot!

I saw a doodle page you did, and I’m curious how you got your brush to be darker with more pressure applied? (or at least that’s how it looked to me—)

first of all, i use Paint Tool SAI, so lemme grab a few screenshots of my brush settings. i made these for myself and @invadergrabass to use in order to blend our styles for collabs; theyre based on our combined preferences so they will more than likely require customisation if youre interested in using them. regardless, they will help me explain, since not everything is easy to put into words for me lol

to make my brush respond to pressure the way it does, i first start with a default brush tool as opposed to a pencil. i set the minimum density to a non-zero percentage (usually between 10 and 40) depending on what i want to use it for, and lower the pressure sensitivity to 60. (this may differ for you, since i know i have a heavy hand and ive set my tablet sensitivity to a custom value. but the minimum size is key here.)

heres a demonstration:

(the brush kinda thickens up when a texture is added, which is part of why i reduce the pressure sensitivity)

i find the brush tool feels a lot like a gel pen when being used for linework. this tool is called Butter Brush because its extremely smooth to work with for my partner and i.

heres a breakdown of each brush and how i tend to use it:

Butter Basic is an all purpose tool, i use it equally often for sketching lining writing and shading. it has a minimum size of around 20%

Butter Sharp is for writing and more bold linework. it has a low minimum size for detail work. i rarely use this tool for sketching but i do sometimes use it in shading, and i prefer it if i have to do a lot of writing on an image. its pressure sensitivity is at 100 so i see less of the texture when using it. (you can see the difference in the two drawn arrows above, where the left is at 100 and the right is at 60.)

Butter Soft is my favourite sketch tool, and predictably the one with the highest minimum size. it is also extremely soft, and cant easily be used for writing. i use it extensively for shading, more often than the tools ive made specifically for shading lmao. i sometimes use it for lining also, since it is the most comfortable for me personally to use.

Yeah, it's mine! Probably should've specified in the post LOL. IIRC that particular painting was inspired at least vibe-wise by the arctic spires and crystal cave biomes from subnautica below zero because I was obsessed with it during quarantine- I started sketching in class and then it turned out a lot better than I expected and I had to finish it instead of paying attention to the professor, it's still one of my favorite paintings I've done even 2 years later I'm really proud of it :3c

Hello! Can I have an Aven (Worldless) doodle if that's okay? I'm very canon divergent, so this is a somewhat inaccurate sketch of what I looks like (My ears are a bit thinner and is locate on the side of my head, like elf ears. Plus I do have the scarf, I just doodled myself with a bandana instead.)

Plus everything else is pretty similar to canon Aven's, including colour palette! However, I haven't had any kinmems (Okay, the psychological version of kinmems) as yet, so I have zero clue on just how canon divergent I am.

Big-ish textpost probably but i really want to talk about how i got back into my ocs (talking about it like it's a show or a series of some kind) just by seeing my mutuals on here talking about their own characters and all that, it just brought me back really.

It's so funny to me that i have the grand total of zero (0) oc art from 2023, one (1) from 2022, one again (1) from 2021 and maybe a bunch of doodles but not much more, i still got reminded about my ocs from time to time but i didn't care much about them tbh, the "storyline" was boring, the characters were plain and boring as well, nothing made sense, they were just leftovers from my teen years (2019 and 2020 were the peak years because i had some good friends on instagram and we talked about each others ocs like almost everyday, fun times). I'd say it was because i was so busy with college (true) but it was mostly that i found drawing to be very boring, back then i'd rather play animal crossing or minecraft or go for a walk than draw anything. I have a bunch of sketches and some fanart from 2021 but that's it. 2021 and 2022 were very dry from an artistic point of view (i have like 5 fully rendered drawings).

Luckily, i got into mcyt fanart around october 2022 and had a lot of fun making fanart and sharing it on twitter with other people, improving my skills significantly. Then i got bored again (bored of making fanart i myself, i watch more youtubers nowadays than last year) and now it's oc time again with a new and improved storyline, character personalities and dynamic and so so many discarded ocs from the former "storyline" that will probably never see the light of day ever again, thoughts and prayers.

The moral of the story is that if you hate drawing then stop, it's whatever, you'll come back one day like two years later maybe idk i should not be giving advice lol

The Most important version of fullly armoured knight zero that I unforgivably forgot to include in my original post

Introducing Nephili ‘Neph’ Ax-Vel, one of the Force-sensitive kids that I invented for my ever-fixed mark ‘verse! Featuring an omwati redesign because the idea behind the species seemed so cool and yet what little art there is looks like uh… just humans with 80s hair and that was Not It for me. 

She is incredibly interested in technology and is showing signs of integrating her connection to the Force in that, exactly as Aava was so interested to see someone do! However (the monkey’s paw curls for Aava) Blue is her absolute favorite adult in the whole world, for unknowable reasons. (It probably comes down to them having some ineffable yet powerful autism2autism communication going on; he is surprisingly non-awful with her.)   

She’s also the only one of the kids small and literally bird-boned enough for Blue to be able to carry. (Dar-Yen — who even as a little babby 10 year old besalisk is pretty solid — once made a bet with his BFF that Blue would catch him if he jumped into his arms, Brooklyn 99 meme style. This experiment ended with several bruised ribs on all sides and a stern talking to. To this day the kids argue over whether Blue at least tried to catch him before they both went down like matching sacks of potatoes, or was just trying to save his cup of caf. Reader, I think you know in your heart what the truth is there.)

Before Aava and Zero started trading off haircutting duty, Blue’s hair got pretty long, which Neph took as prime free ‘I’ll braid your hair!!!’ real estate. 

Feared lethal assassin Agent Zero play fighting with the kids and dramatically pretending to fall to their combined might is something that can actually be so personal (is so personal I guess considering I made it up for myself lol). It is partially just to be an uncle-shaped jungle gym, but also a way to sneakily train them in working as a group the way he used to when running with a pack in his youth  

*blue voice* but why did theseus seduce ariadne though. Why did he not put the moves on the minotaur instead. This seems like the more obvious and productive cause of action long-term (and I have no other horny reason to think this)

Regional, mascot?

I forgot to post yesterday I was working on schoolwork and chaining in doodle world sowwy ;w;

I also slept for most of the day school killed me today so I'm only posting one line. However, it's a long one, so buckle up

The format of these older images is awful but to be honest I would still do it like this in the present day: it's the most information in one place as possible and is convenient when just generally sharing information. But when I'm TRYING TO DO A COOL THING AND GIVE THE MASCOT THEIR SPOTLIGHT- hhhhhh regardless, this is Sqishgo and Lorimato! Sqishgo is not based on any one particular species in particular, while Lorimato is based off of the Loricatosaur! (if only because it made the name work better lol).

Lorimato is pretty obviously based on the classic tomato pincushion, with the idea being that its pins get pushed further into its body and pop out of the other side as full spikes! It's honestly one of my favorite designs for how simple but effective it is.

Sqishgo, meanwhile, is based on both stressballs and literal marketable plushies. They are stupid and dumb and me and my friend that I do this with love them. Sqishgo has undergone literally ZERO design changes, not even in name: their very first sketch was made in five minutes and my friend called it absolutely perfect. The only thing you could get Sqishgo on changing around is it's evolutions, which is a doozy of a story.

Ok so to start, Sqishgo and Loricato originates from when me and my paleo-friend who i do this with were JUST starting to be friends and JUST started drawing digitally, let alone drawing fakemon, so communication and understanding of each other was shaky.

also i found a unique glimring while writing this and passively chaining for unique fluffi I hate it here

Ok, anywho, Sqishgo was original supposed to evolve from a normal type stegosaur into a large and armored grass/steel type stegosaur, to which my friend sent this concept that they had made and had been sitting in their gallery for years prior:

I know that I shouldn't be putting down people who are trying their best at making art, but I have known them for a few years now and I have been the only one drawing for their region idea, a lot of the time TO THIS DAY they don't have anything more to a concept other than "base creature" + "typing" + "name" and the actual design is all on me. With that said, I feel justified to say that there's a reason I keep saying "paleo-friend I do this with" instead of "paleo-friend I work with".

Even disregarding the very amateur art and acknowledging that I can have a bias to my own designs, I do not like this design concept: stegosaur with leaf plates works perfectly fine, plays off of their biology even, but there is SO LITTLE to this design that it's just infuriatingly boring to me, and my friend wanted it as-is with as little changes as possible. It's not anything more complicated than "just a normal stegosaur with leaf plates in armor", and its not stupidly simple enough to be endearingly hilarious, like flamigo or dudunsparce.

So as I was designing Sqishgo, I mentioned playing further off of the stressball idea and making it in a pincushion, and since I had expressed disapproval for the above design and my friend didn't put up much of a fight against the idea, I went with it and completed Lorimato's design as a replacement to the "armored stegosaur" evolution

As it turns out, my friend thought that Lorimato WAS Sqishgo, and was VERY against Lorimato replacing the armored stego. This resulted in a large argument that, to be honest hasn't fully resolved itself when talking about designing the fakemon for this region.

I didn't want a big fight and I still wanted to be friends with them, so

I did both

This is Ramparmatus, which takes the steel typing from Lorimato and gives it grass as well. Playing off of this type-borrowing, it's evolutionary method is just a more complicated method of evolving Lorimato. Don't worry, if this ever becomes an actual game we'll put in an npc who will gives hints as to how to evolve Sqishgo.

My thoughts about thisssssss are the same as the original concept image. The beetlejuice-scary-face head is doing a LOT of footwork keeping this from being my least favorite design in the dex by a mile (instead it's just my least favorite design by a couple hundred yards). Hopefully, this caters to an audience who jut wants a big cool-looking tank, god knows I'm not in it.

Also I recognize I gave its horizontally swinging tail a vertical axehead these are old and I haven't updated them I'm sorry be nice to meeeeeeeee

Luckily, this doesn't have to end on a sour note

This is Barribarbs! A grass/poison kentrosaurus, it's the hardest one to get out of any of Sqishgo's evolutions, and as such borrows the grass type from Ramparmatus. This guy was originally supposed to be one of Sqishgo's 2 evolutions with Ramparmatus before the miscommunication occurred and Lorimato got added on. They are also more loyal to their marketable plushie origins: they're based on images of long abandoned plushies becoming overrun and interwoven with plant-life, most notably the infamous "Murby".

The general concept for this design is a kentrosaur with an evergrowing, spiky bramble tail that it wraps around its body to become a living bramble patch, and I frankly love this guy so much for it. The pokedex entry is also one of my personal favorites, just for the implication that every shiny Barribarbs is a serial murderer who will kill again.

While I don't like Ramparmatus, I don't think that after all of this I would get rid of it: it represents my friend, who despite me bitching and moaning about them in this project, I only dislike in this project. They are still my friend outside of it, and I love them all the same in that regard.

Also because Ramparmatus is so self-indulgent of a design for my friend I get to make my own self-indulgent designs which you all will see later >:3

First of all I want you to know that your fic helped me to like FT again. Not sure if this can be taken as a compliment or not but for a while I was interested mostly on Edens Zero (great story btw) but after reading your fic I started to feel that warmth when I think about FT so thank you! You are taking everything I love in the story and leaving behind all the stuff that made me move on from it in first place, such as characters being only for shipping or comic relief or lack of proper planning. And now for my other question, I've seem some art made based on your fic, can I ask which ones are your favorites?

Fam I 100% understand where you're coming from because I have bones to pick with the original canon too. Half of this fic is fueled from spite and the other half love. Fairy Tail became my comfort show in a rather low point for me, so it has a special place in my heart for that, but mostly I became instantly drawn towards the characters. So... it was a bit disappointing to see those same characters get tossed around as the show progressed and lose some of that dynamic flair.

I really wasn't planning on writing anything like this but I found the acnologias-ass's papalogia au and was immediately drawn in by the possibilities, because I am a sucker for that kind of found family. After reading a few fics based off of the premise I went "wait no I can do this plot and keep them in character and hint at an overarching plot watch" and then I slipped and fell and tumbled face first into an entire series rewrite because I can't resist touching things I want to fix. But anyway.

Art based on my fics you say? I don't know if you mean the few pieces I've gotten from other people, or just all artwork? Because I make most of it, lol. Hard to pick a favorite, but I am fond of my Dragon Family Naptime (aka my banner picture) and then these silly sibling doodles because they bring me pure serotonin. For angst, there's this old rough sketch of young Jellal that I actually really enjoy. The heavy pencil style pleases me.

okay so what I was going to post before I noticed I got polls was!! i went through some of my sketchbooks and encountered some sketches i was 🐗 about.. i wanted to share them on here!! I'll put them under a readmore since y'all know I like explaining things 🫣

first off is one of my Steven Universe OC's... pearl!! 😳😃 what pearl? I genuinely could not tell you anymore 🫣 but from what I remember, she was a supporting character to my main OC, Aquamarine (the reveal of the canon aquamarine killed my interest in the show 😭). The two worked on this off-Homeworld ship but rose up against the captain and iirc crash-landed on Earth a long time ago? and Aquamarine was looking for Pearl, who'd lost her memories in the crash. something like that? anyhow I remember feeling like GOD when I decided on that hairstyle! i also like her cape, it's like a translucent bubble around her (was the translucency thing associated with all pearls? I don't remember anymore 😅)

next are some of my bnha 🫣 ocs! They were second year students, if memory serves correctly. truthfully I forgot who they were until I saw the little nametag in the second picture 😶😅

The one on the left is named Ikina Youta, and basically his quirk is that he's like the sun? He can superheat his body, emit light, and funnily enough charge stuff through solar power 😆 A big part of his story was that he was Terrified of his quirk, to the point Aizawa was going to expel him for wasting its potential. His family (he's actually a tie-in to my sister's own characters haha) develop adaptive gear that supports him and keeps him from burning himself alive when he uses his quirk, so now! in his second year! he is breaking ground and testing out the extent of his powers :]

The one on the left is named Uzumeru Tsuyume, and he's actually Recovery Girl's grandson! He has a mix of her and his father's Sandman quirk (i slappa you and you knock out 😈.. which doesn't sound like a superpower at all... LOL!!!), so basically if he touches you you get knocked into a deep restorative sleep. his mother, chiyo's daughter, wasn't a huge fan of him going to UA after helping her mother patch heroes up her whole life, but Tsuyume thought his powers would be most helpful at ground zero and so he went to UA against her wishes. He really looks up to his grannie and has lunch with her twice a week :-] his costume is somewhat of a homage to her, although his friends tease him because it also looks like a racecar driver's outfit, which was not intentional he swears!!!!! but the little racecars on his nightstand tell a different story 👁👁❗ I think, similar to Chiyo, his power is a little draining on him so he's always a little tired and grumpy. he and youta balance each other out :D

they're actually 2/3 of my 2nd year trio! the third member of their group is a birdgirl (i was still debating how Bird i wanted to make her before i abandoned bnha..) named Koetaka Hanami, whose power is basically being an Offensive Opera Singer... her hero name is even Coloratura 😆😎🤠 she's a huge fan of Present Mic and resembles him in some ways... She brings the heat and muscle in their trio! Tsuyume does most of the support work (although sometimes it's nice to have him smack someone just to knock them out lol) and Youta does a lot of person-to-person stuff.. i have forgotten the word for this just now </3 he can also be a human flare so that's pretty useful! but Hanami is the one running in and taking care of the baddies, with her glass-breaking voice haha

I moved on from bnha after the first movie (iirc? whichever one i-island was..) so I have no idea how they'd fit into the overall plot anymore teehee! they are just fun little dolls for my brain now :]

finally are some doodles of the one... the only.... mister sergio joestar dun dun dun! He's actually why I went digging through my sketchbooks to begin with haha!

i remember really wanting to capture his fuckt up Dad Hair + sideburns.. i think the left one does it the most justice- my sketchy style makes his hair lose the plot in the right drawing hehe. anyhow the context of the left sketch is that josuke was an evil baby and would constantly pull on his scarf, but. sergio refused to ever take it off because it was a present and reward for his swagrannie lisa lisa :') so he would just let josuke choke him out.. imagine he's doing the goku laugh, u know the one!

the right drawing is just the lament o' sergio to me. I forget the context but I think that look of mild concern/apprehension suits his journey pretty well.... POV you can sense Dio within a 100 mile radius (plot twist he is having his hot girl summer in japan and is unaware of ur existence 🤪🤪)

my first and i think Only drawing of giorno is here too! i wanted to try an animal crossing style out on him.. when I drew this I wanted to get more into an AC style for my cutesy drawing, to complement the looser and :3-ier style I would use that you can see to his left. i think it turned out nicely! I think the sketch on his left is of my main YOI character, but. your guess is as good as mine lol!

seeing these made me want to pick drawing back up again and maybe commit to doing some studies/use references! I've never done a study of anything and my use of references is. light at best <3 so these really are Pure Sketchies and Doodlies ur honor. i wonder what more serious art from me would look like!
