I don’t think Fraggles have a strong sense of gender. I don’t think it’s that important to them. Like, gender identity and figuring out what you are might be important to specific Fraggles when they’re trying to figure out who they are, but as a society they don’t put much weight on what your gender is. To Fraggles, Gender is just a fun thing you can do, but you don’t have to do it if you don’t want to.

Names and pronouns are, in an odd way, gifts, like socks you got for the holidays.
Sometimes your parents give you a first pair of socks that're really comfortable and feel good, and you choose to wear them all the time.
Sometimes those socks aren't the right size, or they're uncomfortably itchy or generally a bad texture, and they aren't great for you to wear.
Some people prefer to get new socks that do fit them and are more comfortable, and just wear those.
Some people like to collect different socks, picking up different patterns and colours to fit the vibe.
Some people don't like socks at all and prefer to, like, just wear sandals or go barefoot most of the time.
Some people get different styles of socks from their friends and family, and like to wear them on different occasions (like nicknames! but socks!)
It's all up to personal preference. You don't have to go by an uncomfortable name, you don't have to wear the socks you're given. Sometimes you outgrow them. Sometimes they're uncomfortable to begin with. And that's okay.

btw as someone who uses mirror pronouns, i think when a narrator is referring to a character who uses mirror pronouns they should use the pronouns of whoever the character is interacting with. like if link uses mirror and zelda uses she/her, the narrator would refer to link with she/her as well. does this make any sense whatsoever

Anyone else vibe with different pronouns sets depending on the day?
Because I tried typing something like "can't a girl read her book in peace" but the 'her' didn't feel right, so I used "can't a girl read faer book in peace" and it felt much better. But then some days I try to use 'fae' and end up switching it to 'she' instead. And some days, both of them are fine.

see an easy improvement of the scene where they ask the meep for pronouns is to 1. have the doctor go Oh i sometimes just use he by default regardless of gender (<- the implications here are obvious) and two for him to then suggest a bizarre amount of pronouns and neopronouns to the meep

I have this idea for a huge comic that I'm not sure I'll ever actually make, but these are some of the characters I created for that idea (the story would be a ensemble cast of like 8 different romance stories all happening in a urban fantasy setting)

I don't wanna sound ignorant, but how do we use your pronouns? I don't know how to use neopronouns and I'm sorry for that, but please explain. "no/it/whatever pronouns" -written on your bio. I hope I didn't offend you. That was not my intention. I was curious.
You're 100% okay! For most of us, the most important thing is a genuine intention and effort. If you mess up or don't know, that's fine. There's a learning curve--but if you mean well, that means a lot :)
The pronouns in my bio are the different sets I use. For me, this means no pronouns are my most accurate pronouns--for instance, substituting my name or my initial in place of a pronoun (ex: Quil said Q/Quil was going to write a 30 page keeper rant about pants later).
However! I am fully aware that's a little awkward and inconvenient, so I personally don't mind people using others at all. My second preference is for it/its pronouns--which are used the same way you'd refer to a creature or object (ex: Quil keeps complaining about how much it would hate all the leggings in keeper; it seriously won't shut up about them).
Some people worry this is dehumanizing or offensive--but I have asked you to do it. It's not offensive, they're my pronouns. I actually quite like the inhuman aspect personally, as I don't feel connected to the concept of human gender. It/its acknowledges that
Finally there's the "whatever" part. This is basically saying you're not limited to no pronouns or it/its, you can pick another pair if you like and use those. If they/them is easier, use that; I use those irl all the time just for simplicity. And this includes other neos, too. Feel free to ae/aer or xe/xir me, I don't care.
What I don't have in my bio is that I'm not the biggest fan of she/her, purely because usually people who do that assume I'm cis, and I'm not. I may refer to myself (specifically my past self) with she/her at times, but generally I prefer others pick another pair.
This is quite the lengthy explanation, but I hope that helps! The way my "gender" works is that I don't have one, so by association I don't really have pronouns? So no set is 100%. but like. You gotta call me something, so whatever gets the job done
thank you for asking :)

You can ignore this post it means nothing functionally just need to yell my thoughts out of my brain
Ahhhhh brain blinding grrrr if you’re gonna make figuring out this system stuff hard you could at least have it not affect my gender, cause like that’s gotta be what this is why else would it switch so much on what name it prefers grrrr stick with thinking theyre both great not erm actually that one isn’t the vibe rn, literally another part of me was like yippee and a week or 2 earlier I was sure that was the name I preferred even hmmmm grumble grumble
