In addition to the community-suggested prompts currently being collected, a set of themes has already been picked ahead of time! These were chosen to celebrate Shinji and Kaworu's history together in the Evangelion franchise over the years:

A brief overview on each of these below!

Note: Since each day will have more than one prompt, you don't need to use both of each day's prompts if you'd rather focus on one - while you can use both if you wish, you can also just pick the one you like best, or mix and match prompts from different days if you'd like!

Day 1 (4/27): Drafts

The week starts off with a day dedicated to the drafts that started everything and are the basis for what was later seen in the anime! Here you can use any design or story elements found in concept art and the episode 24 draft scripts (more information on the drafts here, as well as in the scripts of Draft 1 and Draft 2)!

Day 2 (4/28): Anime

Day 2 centers on their dynamic as seen in the original Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995) continuity, where their brief and tragic yet loving and impactful relationship was introduced to the world!

Day 3 (4/29): Manga / Karlshaun

Next up is a day focused on Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Neon Genesis Evangelion manga and its depiction of Kaworu and Shinji's dynamic, often known as Karlshaun - a take on their relationship that's quite different from the usual, but still compelling and beloved all the same!

Day 4 (4/30): Spinoffs

In order: NGE2; Campus Apocalypse; Petit Eva.

The Evangelion franchise has several spinoffs, from video games such as NGE2 and Shinji Ikari Raising Project to manga like Campus Apocalypse and Legend of the Piko Piko Middle School Students. Day 4 is for exploring Shinji and Kaworu's relationship and shared moments in these spinoffs!

Day 5 (5/1): Rebuild

Day 5 is dedicated to the Rebuild of Evangelion/Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition movies' continuity, where Shinji and Kaworu had a movie centered on them and the concept of Kaworu being in a time loop was introduced!

Day 6 (5/2): 2928 / Post 3.0+1.0

The ending of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time showed a glimpse of Kaworu and Shinji as adults (29 and 28 refer to their ages) in the new eva-less world; day 6 is for exploring what their adult life and future might be like!

Day 7 (5/3): Free Day (Kawoshin Day)!

Lastly, the week wraps up on Kawoshin Day with a free day! This is where you can do whatever you'd like that didn't fit any of the week's prompts, or use a prompt you liked that didn't make it in! 💜💙

my biggest hot take is that in a show with a wide variety of characters, if you only actually enjoy or feel invested in 2-3 of them, you're probably not a very good basis for understanding or appreciating how the show works

ooc, if ima be honest i actually really like your interpretation of Mori. A weird amount of people make him seem unreasonably cruel & just flat out sadistic but that's. the old pm boss's personality. there's a reason Mori killed that guy. Mori does everything for a *reason* even though he's less. moral. than other characters.

tbh i think his canon interactions with Elise are closer to his actual personality; he doesn't need to uphold the big scary mafia persona in front of his own ability. plus his interactions with atsushi in their first meeting.

Your. Thoughts. On. Destiel. Are. Fire. 🔥 Cas is a giant being of light the size of a Chrysler Building!! He burned out Pamela's eyes when he first appeared!! He made Jimmy Novak boil his hand in water to prove his faith and devotion. And while Cas does grow into a sad little meow meow over time (thanks to his contact with humanity) he is initially a terrifying creature from another plane of existence, which Dean in his infinite horny wisdom, manages to look at and go "I wanna fuck that because it terrifies me and I wanna obey because I barely understand my own kinks, which happen to be are being used like a hot wet rag and being subservient to a warrior of God stronger than me."

(I like destiel too, I just want it to be kinky and weird and monsterfucking adjacent)

Yeah, I'm honestly not very into destiel for the most part because a lot of the stuff that gets popular is either very bland to me or straight up frustrating to see (<- perpetually annoyed that people attribute all of Castiel's rebellion to "loving Dean") which means if I want to get invested in this ship, it's gotta get real weird, real fast. Destiel at its best is kinky and weird and slightly dubcon either because Castiel is a being beyond human comprehension who wants Dean and doesn't know how to deal with this except to take what he wants, offered or not, or because it's late seasons destiel and Castiel is very in love with a man who, even at the best of times, has a running counter in his head of how far over the line of monstrousness/betrayal Castiel is allowed to stray before Dean puts a bullet in his head like a hunter should (picture Dean and Castiel domestic bunker life with cute morning kisses and such, but Dean is the one with custody of Castiel's angel blade, just in case, and Castiel lets him have it because he's so screwed up about all the harm he's caused that he's accepted that if Dean kills him, it's for the best.)

once a show and its characters are really good and i get attached to the story then i simply cannot bring myself to hate any of them even those who annoy me from time to time because they're well written and serve a purpose in the story...like at the end of the day that's family 🙏

Sometimes I watch/read a piece of media, and even when I don't ship something I can see that these people are meant to mean a lot to each other or have some sort of profound relationship. It's a relationship that is never labeled as siblings, nor is it labeled as romantic

And I gotta say, you guys need to be able to reconcile the fact that not all relationships will be easily sorted into "siblings" or "lovers", or even "siblings" or "lovers" or "just friends"

Headcanons, fanon, things you personally like to read into for fun, all of those things are neat. But genuinely. It's fucking annoying reading meta of a relationship where the characters are canonically friends or teammates and are shown to mean something to each other, and people assume that these characters having a familial relationship or being basically lovers (the exception is if the essay post itself is dissecting their relationship for interpretive reasons. Like, for example, if you're making a case for why people would ship a thing or what would make someone read two characters as in love) is baseline canon that everyone should accept as true.

It is imperative for you to be able to dissect strong or meaningful relationships in media (if you fancy yourself being or becoming skilled with it) by looking at it for what it is and picking it apart instead of assuming that it must be canonically familial or canonically romantic when the media in question has only ever labeled these two people as either "friends" or "coworkers"/"partners"/"party members"

I’ve had this flag (and symbol) for what feels like a year now and I’ve just been sitting on it- I don’t know where to go that it’ll actually get attention and I really want to fully give it to the community, I don’t want to be tied to it as it’s creator, I’m comfortable knowing that people I wouldn’t like will use the flag. What’s more important to me is that the community have a generally positive opinion of the colors + symbol meanings and subsequently accept it, and use it.

I wish I could fully anonymously drop it and then like discuss with people and get input, or drop it multiple places for the attention. It’s a conundrum I’ve been thinking abt for a whileeee

always so funny to re-realize that my fixations evidently don't work like most people's. i'll see posts like 'that point in ur life ur between hyperfixations and u feel like ur just floating aimlessly' or ppl talking about like 'aw man i think my hyperfixation on x is fading' and i'll be like you can do that? that can happen? bc for me these things don't have an expiration date they always just keep going until they're replaced by something else. the only time i ever 'lost interest' in a fixation in a neutral way it literally took more than two years and it wasn't a gradual fade so much as a specific and sudden 'ok i want to do something else now'.
