By Popular demand, here’s some of my LPS Hot takes

Some of the later pets weren’t That bad. Like yea I do agree that the tv show based toys from like 2013-2016 weren’t that great and kinda fugly looking, but with some of the 2020 pets, why yes not as iconic as the 2000s lps that we know and love, I still believe some people were really harsh on some of these pets cuz like they did look really cute tho! My only problem with the pets was the fact they had names tbh 2. Not every g2 lps molds were perfect. Some really good examples of older lps molds being kinda ugly were the first Jack Russel and poodle molds. I’ve also mentioned about the skunk/Squrriel molds were pretty lazy since it’s just the same mold . They didn’t even try to make them different from each other. Like say what you will but at least with some of the newer pets between 2013-2020 they were at least trying to make the skunk and squirrel molds different from each other. also the opossum molds was not all that great tbh..

3. The worse thing that ever happened to lps was the Blythe loves lps toy line. No joke idk why they thought this was good. I mean if you guys loved the Blythe dolls that’s fine, to me I always found them off putting since well, they just didn’t fit personally. Like you’re the one who’s caring the pets or this is a world where it’s run by pets. There was never any mention about humans tbh. Again this is prob coming from bitter younger me lol. But in all seriousness though, never really liked Blythe dolls tbh

4. People need to Chill out about the some of the rerelease of lps. Yes I understand, I’m just as nervous and excited as the rest of you guys however I genuinely feel as if people are really making a mountain out of a hill over some prototypes and a blind bag. Like I understand that everyone’s burned out by bad decisions after bad decisions within the lps Franchise. And yes blind bags are overused and annoying however, Guys.. they’re not just gonna make only just blind bags, they’re gonna do other stuff for lps soon just be patient. Not to mention at the end of the day, they’re still just silly little pets for kids. Can you critique the toys? Of course! But just remember that it ain’t that deep. 5. They should bring back that one brown poodle mold

yes this one! its cute as hecc! and i wish they would bring this back 6. This cat isn't a "Wolf-Cat" Its a maine coon. This isn't even an opinion or anything, i just wanna let people know that its suppose to be a maine coon. also the actual "wolf-cat" is called Lykoi and idk how that breed of cat would look as an lps.

7. the main reason back in 2013 Lps was having a reboot was due to MLP having a reboot. that's just my theory tho.

8. I feel like a lot of people keep forgetting that 90s LPS exist. Like whenever people say "g1" they don't think about the kenner Lps toys, they were thinking about the 2000's lps that was popularized by hasbro. and tbh that kinda sucks.. cuz why yes the kenner toys were more into realism, i still geninually, like the kenner lps figures they were rad.

9. The sticker eyes lps were cute, I actually liked them 10. One pet peeve I had with LPS popular, is that technically, Brook should of been arrested or at least suspended since she did attack Savannah first. Not to mention, doesn't this school have like cameras or something!? i know this has been years since I've watched LPS popular but like, bruh, Why don't her parents believe her!

Umm.. I dont really have any other opinions nor thoughts at the moment. idk feel free to ask me anything lps related and I'll give my honest opinions.

“Good morning Loona! Good morning Moxxie and Millie! Good morning… sir.” You walked in and handed everyone their lunch, giving Blitzo a cold side eye as you handed him his lunch.

“Good morning! Good to see you too, sugar!”

“Mmm…. hm…” You kept looking at him with a sideways glance as you left the room, closing the door slowly.

“Wonder what their problem is.” Blitzo’s words were muffled from the sandwich stuffed in his mouth and everyone turned to stare at him at once.

“Your… joking… right?” Moxxie’s eye twitched looking at his boss.

“Oh, Jesus Christ, what are you going on about, Moxxie?”

“No disrespect, but is your memory that bad, sir?”

Blitzo turned to Moxxie, completely offended. “What?!”

Moxxie pinched the bridge of his nose while Millie rubbed his back, whispering sweet nothings in his ear. “Sir… yesterday you-”

“Is this about me pinching their butt when they went to leave?!” Blitzo stood up, slamming his hands on the table. “Because that’s bull! They were the one who walked in here with their cute little booty out!”

“Sir! That doesn't mean you have the right to pinch their… uh… YOU KNOW!”

“God, you’re all so sensitive,” Blitzo pinched the bridge of his nose and turned towards the white board, which had nothing of importance on it. “Can we get back to work now? I have a business to run.”

“Blitzo,” you stuck your head in the room, holding a phone away from your ear. “There’s a phone call for you.”

“Who is it? We’re a little busy right now.” He put the finishing touches on a pony he began drawing on the whiteboard.

“It’s Stolas.”

Blitzo nearly choked on a piece of his sandwich and turned to you. “Tell him I'm busy. Like super busy. What does he want?”

“It's about the book.”

“Just… tell him I'll call him back, okay? I… don't want to talk to him right now.” Blitzo’s face turned bright red and he set down the marker, turning to everyone else for at least some support.

“I'll just tell him that you’re in an important meeting that will last all day.” You turned away, closing the door behind you. “Sorry Stolas, Blitzo’s super busy right now. Expect a phone call either after hours or tomorrow morning, alright? Okay. Have a great day. Yeah, you too. Buh-bye.”

Blitzo knew he was blushing, but of course he wouldn't admit that. He had that intern to thank for everything.

“Hey.” Blitzo stuck his head out of the door and threw a chocolate bar straight at you.

You caught the candy and looked down at your hands, tilting your head. “What’s this for?”

“Helping me. And let me treat you to lunch, okay?”

“Uh… okay?”

“Oh, don't sound all skeptical. I'm serious. You’re the best!” He slammed the door behind him, not caring about his blushing face.

You stood there in shock with the candy bar still in your hand. Maybe that stupid boss did have some etiquette.

“So, are we gonna forget about yesterday?” You slid your hand into Blitzo’s as you walked to go get some lunch.

“What, about me pinching your ass?”

“What? No. You do that all the time.”

“Then… uh… what?” You squeezed his hand and he couldn't help but feel his face go warm.

“It’s really nothing. I'm not that pissed about it or anything… it uh… it was our one year… yesterday. AGAIN, NOT A BIG DEAL… I just… got a little butthurt. But nothing too insane. I'm not mad and I don't want to seem like that type of-”

“Shit! Are you serious?!”

“Y-Yes.”

“Dammit! I thought our one year was today! That’s why I'm taking you out to get some nice lunch. Dammit!”

You giggled and cupped his face. “You don't have to play around, Blitzo. I don't care that you forgot about it. Again, it's not a big de-”

Blitzo pulled out his pocket calendar, shoving it in your face. You saw today’s date with a heart around it saying, ‘one year anniversary with my love <3’. You giggled and pulled out your own pocket calendar and Blitzo found the day before’s date with a big heart around it saying, ‘one year with my Blitzy-poo <3’.

“Well,” Blitzo grabbed your hand and continued walking. “It's either one of us fucked up or we’re both way off.”

You giggled and held him close, giving him little kisses on his cheeks and his neck. “Let’s just have a two day anniversary. I think it would be way more fun than just one boring day.”

Blitzo giggled, melting to your touch. “Y-Yeah. We should.” He couldn't help his heart shaped eyes around you.

“Well, since today’s technically our anniversary now, Blitzo, I got you something.”

“You got me something? Y-You didn't have to get me anyth-”

You pulled a small present out of your bag and handed it to him, his shiny eyes getting dilated.

“You got me wrapping paper?” He sounded like an excited child.

“No dummy,” you giggled. “Open the wrapping paper.”

“I'm not that dumb! I'm just excited that I get to rip open some wrapping paper. I haven't done this in ages.” Blitzo quickly ripped open his present and pulled out a little business card and a photo of a billboard.

“Uh… what’s this?”

You smiled a stupid giddy smile and bobbed on your heels. “What do you think it is?”

Blitzo shrugged and grabbed you by the shoulders, shaking you back and forth. “No secrets! Tell me! I wanna know!”

“Okay, okay! Stop shaking me, bub!” Blitzo stopped shaking you and looked you dead in the eyes.

“Tell me.”

“I got us business cards, that’s what that is… and uh… I got us a billboard downtown… so more people can see it. You wanted more ads for our company, so I worked really hard these past couple of months and mmf-”

Blitzo quickly pulled you forward, slamming his lips against yours. He ran his fingers over your hips and dipped you down, pressing harder against you. You sighed into the kiss, getting more comfortable and he pulled away with a bright smile. “I can't believe you.”

“You can't believe me?”

“Nope.”

“Do you like it?”

Blitzo teared up, even though he told himself he wouldn't. “I… I love it.” He pressed his forehead to yours and placed a little kiss on your lips. “You’re the best, you know that?”

“Yeah.”

He giggled and pulled you up, grabbing your hand. “I knew you were gonna say that.”

You threw your arms around the back of his neck and played with the collar of his shirt. “I love you Blitzo.”

“Oh, god, why did you have to say it with the o.”

You chuckled and pulled him down the street to go grab some lunch.

hello hi helloo!!! I am not a goalie guy or mask guy usually but you got me on a little rabbit hole :> i love a quick a lengthy afternoon research project!!!

Jacob Fowler has a few notable masks so i suppose we should talk about all of them? I'm not sure which helmet you are referencing so! here goes!!

First, to get it out of the way, Fowler wore a white mask through his minor/junior hockey career. I do enjoy the blank design for narrative reasons (underestimated and ignored btw. passed over in juniors drafts btw. if u even CARE!!!!) but i think this is prob not the one you are asking about. I am currently NOT in the mood for a deeep web search to find nice close-up photos of him in the gear but Bauer's official shop has Fowler's gear set listed here. And here is their shop image of the mask + a photo from Fowler's EP page:

I was gonna say, I do think its funny that they've put up an image with the wrong bar style. Bauer's photo uses the "grid" style bars (left) and Fowler's cage in the image features "cats-eye" bars (right), but upon further inspection Fowler DID use the grid style mask at some point.

He swapped from the grid to the cats-eye and has not gone back, and I'm gonna assume the discrepancy on Bauer's site has to do with what masks are certified by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group) and The Hockey Equipment Certification Council (HECC)...? Short article on mask certifications can be found here // archive link. tl;dr cats-eye bars aren't certified! Here's a fun youtube video I came across a while back about the history of goalie masks! (It's fully cited and sourced... beautiful..... really great material, highly recommend the watch if you have 30 mins free !)

for those following along at home, this is Fowler's Boston College Eagles mask! Here is the instagram video where he explains it. notable facts under the cut because this post is getting long as HELL.

his first mask as a kid was an iron man design mask, and when it came time to choose a design he went back to that!

the host notes that the design is very on-theme for Eagles hockey colours, and that it's a "full-circle" moment <3 I just think that's neat !

the license plate on the back is a reference to where he's from; it's important to him that he reps florida because there's "not too much hockey down there"

The numbers on the license plate are for his mother's birthday

"take me home, country roads" quote is because he spent his summers in West Virginia!

The license plate is SOOO good. I love the colours, the little cartoon oranges. and speaking as a once-iron man enjoyer... LOVE!!! i think also the symmetry of having your mask art be a literal helmet is so fun <3 I'd like to know what city skyline is painted on the side but I fear this would never get published if I attempted to go down that research hole....

If you are reading this and haven't already heard about it or summarily been struck by lightning at the familiarity of the mask... Fowler has chosen to emulate the mask design of legendary Canadiens goalie Patrick Roy.

Here is one incarnation of this mask that Roy wore as a Canadien, for reference:

(super funny that he chose Roy, who notoriously did NOT end things with the Habs on good terms...) People took note of the mask the MOMENT he came out in it and I have . ough. MANY thoughts on Fowler's choice to invite the conversations, to evoke the past, what with all the Carey-Price-Come-Again comparisons. probably more on this at some point when i feel less unwell about it and have done more reading.

it's a really fun spot the difference game to me!! Fowler has the text running along the side, his name in that distinct lettering. The Habs logo on the forehead is updated but still in the same spot. the logo on the chin does not feature Fowler's player number the same way that Roy's has his #33. the bars on Fowler's mask are white rather than blue. The back of Fowler's mask of course features the Florida license plate!! <3 i really hope he keeps that motif for every mask he has going into the future. All in all, it's a tribute to the past, but it has a unique Jacob Fowler twist !

he clarifies that the mask design is likely just for dev camp. when the host asks him if he'll wear it in a habs uniform, he diplomatically answers the question but avoids confirming that he'll go through with it (veeeerry communications major of him. lol)

Personally i am sooo charmed and endeared by his little florida license plate and his plucky invite to the hockey gods with the invocation of a legendary habs goalie. <3 jacob fowler YOU are goin in my pocket !!!

Anyway, anon thank you for derailing my entire afternoon (with affection) today was supposed to be a gifing day but I got very blissfully side-tracked by Fowler's goalie helmet lore!! I know it's been like a year and a month since I finished my michael x reader fic on ao3 but

I legit can't stop thinking about the guy cause he's basically the embodiment of an adolescent romance I never had wHOOPs anywayhere'smoreonhimthatwouldn'thavereallyfitinthefic

Michael is is absolutely pathetic when he has a crush. And I mean the type of pathetic I am with my crushes.

The staring when you aren't looking; the rapid look-away when you do. At first he's like, "huh, they're kinda pretty--" and then the realization hits, and he's sitting in the corner of his room, contemplating life like what the hecc just happened.

The next thing he knows, he's waking up from a dream where does nothing but hold you. Cue slamming his face into cushions and silent screaming.

Not to mention that he's really out of it for a few days. Goes about his usual routine like a zombie. For a second, Best Dad (TM) Henry thinks he's gone back to his pre-you depression, but Elizabeth just drops the tea. Not that Michael actually told her anything, but she knows. She's seen.

"'It' happened."

"They're finally together?"

"Nah. He just has feelings. Big people feelings."

"I thought I saw them going on a date at the park. They were holding hands and everything."

"Oh, that was a date. But they don't know it yet."

(Meanwhile you're equally confused cause, 'Is this what friends do? Am I overthinking? I'm definitely overthinking. He doesn't like me, he's just a really good friend. A really, really good friend.')

Here’s another take for an ending that could happen with Scourge. It’s gonna be a heavy one, warning y’all now, but here it goes. 

Drained ending:

No choice. It’s all or nothing. Everyone is worn down, and Scourge is on the brink of destroying everything. A grim solution is made, where the group must get rid of the remaining anarchy beryl festering in his body. Even though they are well aware that Scourge will die once it’s been removed in his state. 

In his final moments, as the harmful energy gets drained, Scourge looks at Mayhem and Sonic, his bloodshot irises that were filled with hatred, fear, and pain eventually melt into the blue eyes they once knew. A resigned sadness at his fate but also immense relief that his terrible nightmare he’s been living in for so long is finally coming to an end. For a brief moment, he smiles at them as if to express gratitude.  

He shifts his gaze to the stars above him, whispering something, but by then, no one can hear him. His body then crumbles into dust.  

However, there’s a glowing core that remains behind. (Sonic universe Silver Saga issue 26, for reference and info.)

Turns out that Nazo (or anyone else that has profound experience with chaos powers) at the last second, manages to compress Scourge’s remaining life force into one. 

For a while Mayhem and the group are at a loss on what to do with this orb, so they turn to Zonic for answers. 

Zonic tells them that if they release Scourge’s core into a cosmic river, he’ll live out his next life as a new being immediately. Could be reborn as another version of Sonic, another hedgehog, or even as another species entirely. 

Maybe they’ll see him one day again, years and years later. But the group collectively agrees that it’s best that no one searches for him. Sonic gives Mayhem the similar advice of letting go of someone you love. Regardless of whichever zone he ends up in, to let him live out his life without any past ties. 

Sayonara, Scourge the Hedgehog. 

(….Okay, I don’t think endings are my strong suit, but I tried.)

I do think Nazo would have the capability to turns Scourge's core into the glowy orb. Having to have them go to Zonic all the way is putting even more weight to it. And when they are finally at the river, most of them are relieved and happy to give him another chance in life.

Mayhem would fall apart from having to let go of him. He's happy for Scourge to finally be rid of the pain and suffering, to have peace and a fresh restart. But it's almost like the cycle restarts again, leaving him on his own. Although Sonic and the others would be there to comfort him, it flipped a switch in his mind that; "Why even bother to make new connections or regain old ones, for it always ending to having to say goodbye or getting left alone?"

When weeks, months or maybe years pass, they could potentially cross paths again. It's both a blessing and a curse. Mayhem kept his mindset that way for the time being but, seeing Scourge, it would break down his mental walls and unleash the floodgates of emotions upon him. Should he interact, ask how he's doing, how's life doing? Hearing the words of the other play back in his mind, he's at a crossroads. It's a one life opportunity, hecc, they might never see each other again after this. But knowing what's at stake, deep down May knows that it would do Scourge more harm than good.

Those mere seconds of Scourge passing by, living out his deserved life, the both of them look at each other. Almost trying to talk to May, Scourge would see him walk away. Having a slight familiar feeling, he almost wanted to reach out to Mayhem, asking him if he knew the guy. Eventually, he wouldn't be able to reach him and shakes off the feeling a little. Shrugging, Scourge would resume his way as well.

I was bored as hecc so I just made these 3 Gals. 2 of them are gae & married to each other. (Can u guess who?)

Originally, there was gonna be 4, but eh, 4 was too much... Plus, I already made a pic with like 5 characters & that was too much of my time. (Btw the dunmer lady was originally a guy, but she's a woman now!)

Anyways imma tell you about the true species of these goobers:

Top Right: Bosmer Mimic aka "Horned-Forest Glenderrah"

Bottom Middle: Maormer Mimic aka "Abyssal Hinkomonsi"

Top Left: Dunmer Mimic aka "Morrowsoot"

You can gave them names, I don't mind. As long it has a first & last name. (Bcs thats how Mimic naming works & they pretty much adopted it when humanity started to grow on Luhzeruh.)

Weird fact: The Mimic species has around 3-4 names, the most common is Mimic (bcs they can & will Mimic humans), their scientific name "Reptarius-Imatis", their true name "Altermorphs". & that other other word but thats a slur used by humans bcs apparently Mimics are lizerd-like. But despite them being humanoid lizerd ppl... They rlly opposed to being called "lizards" that it's just a slur for them now..

How true is the accusation that Vivziepop is making a cult that she uses to attack anyone that criticizes her?

.......Please don't tell me that you believe that. Do not tell me that you actually think that's true. I can't account for EVERYONE in the fandom, but I can tell you that majority of these "attacks" are people going "hey....that's incorrect and what you're bringing up has been debunked," and antis/crits call that harassment. Meanwhile, a good portion of them wants Vivzie to die and keep bothering/harassing her any time she breathes.

Like....no one gives a shit if you criticize Vivzie, it's when you bring up old drama, give nothing but negativity, and insult her is when people start having problems. Like calling Vivzie biphobic because of how she created Chaz.....even the guy is meant to be an absolute, unlikable douche (affectionate).

You felt so… apart from the gang. The only person who truly would talk to you was Bruno. You saw him as a parental figure, nothing more. So you really felt like a no one. Someone to fear. It felt like you had no friends in this gang, but honestly… that was okay with you. You had one job and that was to help Bruno with anything. Be there for him and his gang. Protect them. You didn't need friends anyway.

But Narancia? He was different. Something about him sparked something in you. You had never gotten butterflies before, but here you were, falling in love with the sweetest, cutest guy ever. All while you had to be this intimidating character. You were jealous and craved something, anything, that would bring the two of you closer.

You didn't know how you built up the courage, but you did. You walked up to him, like your legs were just moving on their own and you smiled at Narancia. He looked at you with some slight concern, but you didn't mind, you were used to it anyway.

“Narancia, wanna see something cool?” You held out your hands to reveal a butterfly you had found in the front of the restaurant. It immediately flew out of your hands and landed on Narancia’s nose making you both giggle.

Narancia couldn't help but be shocked. He wasn't expecting you to be so… sweet. “y/n, what’s gotten into you?” He pulled up a chair and you immediately sat down, taking a slice of cake from the table you were all sitting at.

“What do you mean?”

What did he mean? Not even he knew the answer. To be honest, he never really knew what you were up to, so how could you change? Maybe it was your terrifying demeanor, someone who could knock out an enemy stand user without even using your stand. Everyone loved you, but kept their distance. Maybe Narancia was starting to regret that.

“S-Sorry, y/n… I…” He rubbed the back of his neck, his face going bright red.

“Narancia,” you slid your hand over to his, gently holding it. Who knew your touch could be that gentle. “Don't worry about it.” Your voice was so soft and… comforting.

He nodded and grabbed your hand with a smile. “Sorry we’ve never talked before now.”

You shook your head. “It's okay. Do you wanna… go to the pet store with me?”

“The pet store?”

While watching Gungrave I remembered this show existed. Here are a compilation of discord messages I sent while watching the show over the course of ~2 weeks.

do I watch Heat Guy J (26 eps, similar to gungrave) or do I watch Black lagoon (29 eps, sexy guns starring a lady) I'm leaning toward Heat Guy J for my grey haired man quota I'm playing Heat Guy J ep 1 now so far the music is good lol kill bill inspired or kill bill was inspired bythis? I don't remember when either of those came out wow the voices are so much cooler sounding in japanese they just sound lame in english but english uses less brain power so I'll deal I'm gonna play all these at 1.5x speed because I'm on a strict schedule wow the cgi in this anime did not age well

hell yeah werewolf is back werewolf guy aka van is actually just a deus ex He only appeared for 5 seconds to make plot armor for MC 😩 ep18 MC got fired from the special unit. So he and J are now no longer partners alan is out of the hospital I think MC is going after the gang organization that dildandau used to be head of. is currently head of? It's still confusing

ok looks like dildandau is uhhh not present mentally and is maybe on the run So I guess the coup succeeded lol dildandau's character name is claire rival crime gangs are all after claire because they need his eyes to defeat some retinal scanner to access a ton of gold

J has been re-activated to be the plot armor for MC, who happens to be in the same room as clair currently while this gang war is going on yadda yadda somehow MC got the special unit formed again ep19 MC trying to recruit werewolf to the new special unit oh werewolf history episode yay

something weird is happening with alan's voice I'm predicting he is actually an android as well Let's see if this bet pays off dildandau got his organization back

same face syndrome killed me the assassin was shun/alan's assistant, not J's technician time to start the final ep, ep26

I finished Heat Guy J It's too episodic for my tastes Also the plot armor was super thick I have started Black Lagoon I'm on ep9 currently It's much better (Heat Guy J OST was still amazing though) the only thing black lagoon is missing is a silver haired guy

well there's 29 eps... More than enough time for one to show up
