Uh-oh, due to a temporal anomaly the Hero of Yore Olympea suddenly finds herself transported alive and well from Ancient Halcandra to the Kirby OC tournament! She doesn't know what's going on, but she'll roll with the punches and treat it like a fun dream vacation of sorts. She does like meeting all sorts of new people and trying new foods, weapons and technology. She'll have so many stories to tell her friends when she returns! It's probably for the best if she doesn't learn what disaster befell the four heroes in the regular timeline, though...

I would love seeing people's OC's interact with her! Asking Olympea questions is okay, but this is not an ask blog/rp blog and I'm not looking for extended roleplay. I may not answer your question. If I see potential for an interesting interaction I may draw it, but I can't promise anything. Overview:

While she's not very big, intellectual or attuned to magic, she is unbeatably chipper and physically strong. She loves fighting and gleefully uses a variety of lovely accessories/weapons like a giant club, enchanted glaive, magitech gauntlets, etc. Her left glove allows her to access a dimensional storage. Teases hard, punches even harder. Actually quite feminine when off the clock. Loves magitech gadgets a lot. Doesn't think science or magic is better, because their society needs both. She's definitely not insecure about her height. She'd also never conjure a giant squeaky hammer to bop you over the head if you call her short.

Likes: Vegetables, Nectar, Trying new foods, The colour green, Flowers, Butterflies and moths, Pretty/cool/badass women, Her club, Brass knuckles, Tinkering, New gadgets, Teasing her friends, Seeing a certain winged magenta knight open up and feel genuine joy

Dislikes: Being mistaken for a child, Being called stupid, Stuck-up people, Seeing her friends being hurt, Strangers flicking her antennae, How much dust and scales her wings leave behind

Abilities: Able to fly. Very physically strong. Innately has access to Suplex and Hammer, but mainly uses her trusty club. Her boots and gauntlets let her emulate elements of Hi-jump, Laser and Mecha. (The boosted jump, laser finger guns and palm blasts, respectively.)

Weaknesses: Can't fly quickly. Stubby little arms limit her great strength with little reach. Distractable and a little naive. Can't resist eating strange and exotic snacks no matter the source. Seeing cute girls (she HAS to show off).

Fighting Style:

Her gauntlets are good for punching and the palms can release blasts of energy as well. They're mainly so she can hold large weapons well, since her actual hands aren't very big.

Her moth wings aren't very big either, so while she can normally fly and can still break her fall when she's armoured, she prefers to zip around close to the ground. It's often faster and easier to run and jump when she's fighting. Especially when she's wielding her heavy club. Her boots help her boost and maneuver quickly.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that because she prefers close range combat and isn't proficient with magic she can't attack at a distance. Her gauntlets possess finger laser guns and she can use her left glove (which she also wears under her gauntlet) to access her weapon hoard at all times. Who knows what else she keeps in there?

Even her civilian outfit isn't harmless. She still has access to her innate Suplex and Hammer abilities, after all. And those shoes have steel toes! Of course, the platform heels are just to keep her delicate wings from scraping across the ground when folded. No other reasons. (Like being taller.)

Design Thoughts:

Olympea is the first of the Heroes of Yore who came to me. I was thinking about how to describe the Heroes of Yore and knew I wanted at least one to be a woman. Suddenly her name resounded through my head! Then I just started associating. Olympea sounds like Olympics, so she must be strong. Pea calls to mind small, round and green, so what if she's (mostly) the same species as Galacta Knight? Peas are famous for research on genetics and alleles, so what if she was born, not formed like him? Maybe she doesn't have a lot of magical affinity. Then she needs weapons. Pea, peace, pea shooters, peas in a pod, peacemaker, pea-smacker. Let's give her a hammer, no, a club! She's strong, so what if she packs a punch? How about some gauntlets for punching? She can have a gun, wait, let's put the gun (pea shooter!) in her gauntlet's finger! She needs storage for her weapon hoard (girl needs to accessorise!) so what if her enchanted gauntlets let her access dimensional storage (peas in a pod)? Hmmm, does she have wings? There's a bug called a pea moth, so she has moth wings now. Her ponytail is twisted like a dried pea pod and not-so-coincidentally looks a bit like a cocoon when down and a boxing glove while up in a bun.

I maaay have gone completely overboard with the whole pea thing, but such is life. Although there is a bit of Hammer Lord in there as well. She doesn't hate magic, she just doesn't have a lot of affinity for it. She does enjoy tinkering and building weapons. This is how she ended up relying mostly on technology instead of magic.

She's not a knight and has no mask, because while many people depict all adult puffballs as masked knights (probably influenced by the Star Warriors from the K:RBAY anime) I personally don't think this has to be universal for their kind. How sad it would be if all they were destined for was fighting! ...And then I made her a warrior anyway. Oh well.

Dungeon Meshi - Quick Reacts (CHAPTER 6: Living Armor)

This is still going strong, this is now a comfort manga of mine. 

Previously these titles were foods. This man will eat literally anything. 

You know what has me thinking. This dungeon is... a death trap. When you’re going down, you’re just descending. But what if you want to escape? You have to run and climb against gravity. Potentially when you’re wounded and tired? You’re literally gonna fuckin die if you aren’t in shape.

oh man look at them! So small and not at all used to adventuring yet! Laios is not even super muscular yet! 

We’re seeing people stabbed left and right! Dang, this really IS an RPG. ....... 

did Laios come back and get this armor to use for himself later?

TBOSAS CRACK! TAKE: ✨AMNESIAC!CORYO SNOW✨

It’s that time of the year where my favorite buddies from the other side of the ocean text me nonstop about their weirdest TBOSAS/THG prompts. Lol. One of them even gave me a call yesterday to make a short crack!AU about our poor cabbage boy (Coryo Snow) accidentally getting ✨amnesia✨ after the Arena Explosion Incident (which is honestly an interesting idea to write and read).

However, because of that, my crack!fueled brain is currently stuck on the mental image of seeing an amnesiac Coryo Snow trying to navigate his old/new life in the Capitol without remembering anything, even the Dark Days and the Hunger Games. He might even become Himbo!Coryo or Soft!Coryo for all we know. Well, let’s just say that his original personality was deliberately thrown out and erased forever when he finally woke up in the Hospital.

But seriously, think about it. If Coryo had amnesia after the explosion, he wouldn’t be able to get Sejanus out of the Arena or save Lucy Gray from the snakey snakes because of his memory loss. He wouldn’t even be of use to Dr. Gaul, which will affect the future of the Hunger Games.

And honestly, I believe that the games would eventually die out in this AU because amnesiac Coryo is not fit to do anything “that” complex. So say goodbye to Snow’s political dreams and ambitions.

Lol. Coryo’s new hobbies will be cooking, gardening, and sewing whether he likes it or not because Tigris is now the head of the family.

Moreover, even if Lucy Gray won and Sejanus was still alive by this point, Highbottom can’t just send an amnesiac Coryo to District 12 because our cabbage boy technically didn’t cheat in this AU.

So hypothetically speaking, let’s say that Coryo won the Plinth Prize. He still wouldn’t be accepted in the University because of his current condition. So what’s his next step?

Option 1: Work in the fashion industry with Tigris in order to pay rent.

Option 2: Marry Sejanus Plinth and his money.

Option 3: Become the best gardener in all of Panem.

Option 4: Sue Highbottom and Dr. Gaul for the Arena Explosion and end the Hunger Games.

Option 5: Marry Plinth, end the Hunger Games, and live a vapid wealthy lifestyle while sipping tea with Festus, Felix, Clemmie, and Lizzie.

Either way, Sejanus is happy that amnesiac Coryo genuinely likes him now.😂

genuinely, the Emmett-Bella dynamic has so much POTENTIAL! Emmett had so much potential!! canon Emmett seems like he'd be great…except we rarely get to spend any time with him, so all we're left with is "big goofy vampire who speaks his mind."

fandom loves stupid immature himbo Emmett. i love that concept because it's fun, but Emmett deserves a more nuanced interpretation (shoutout to @bellasdumptruckass who really gives me new perspectives on him DAILY <3). Emmett & Esme seem like the glue that holds the Cullens together. Esme is a peacekeeper who keeps the harmony, but Emmett is the one who helps facilitate a deeper dynamic with the family (through games, silly traditions and rituals, his blunt questions and teasing, etc). it seems natural that while Emmett's silliness & bluntness may make him seem dumb, he's emotionally intelligent. he's happy in his relationship with Rosalie who we know is temperamental, & i think he genuinely understands how to hold a group together & cultivate relationships.

Hii everyone, I don’t really post much refs here, and I have to be deliberate with what I post, else it could spoiler Grimmcorp-- buuut here’s a himbo, he’s Gensai’s dad ! He’s super chill and laid back most of the time, sometimes plays bass in his spare time he spends with Gensai and such. He also brings back little trinkets and whatnot on some occaisions for little Gens since he cares about his kid a TON.  [FAN PROJECT STUFF INCOMING BELOWW,, none of this is canon to the actual ProjectMoon stuff ! !]

Henzo (The H is silent) works for the Mortem Office which is a Fan Office created by me. They double as a Peacekeeping and Combat office since their family is huge. Peacekeeping mostly in a sense that they take care of bodies and all that, y’know, like mortician stuff in order to keep things clean. They also work under Uriel Erestoff, head of the Singularity in City District G and keep things in order. They live in a very wealthy nest, but Henzo specifically got cut off because he works in Grimmcorp and information needs to be disclosed and all that so word doesn’t get out. He’s a sweet guy tangled in a LOT of really weird shit, to put it as “simple” as I can, but he does his best.  OH ALSO,, Boy Who Cried Sheep is EGO stuff from Grimmcorp! So it’s a fan-abnormality thing created by me, hehe. [Grimmcorp is a fan-project related to ProjectMoon’s universe and was created by Udon and I]

Beta BF (Kenny)

A chill dudebro, though he’s sometimes a bit of a sore loser when it comes to rap battles.

Usually goes around shirtless to impress Cassie (Minus!GF), so he often gets sick from being cold.

Yep he’s a certified himbo.

When the other two Minus BFs came along, they all started fighting for Cassie’s affection--and still fight to this very day.

Likes to skateboard and hangout with Minus Pico at the park. He likes his rambles about dinosaurs so he stays and listens.

Mean BF (Mike)

Very snarky, serious, and blunt. He doesn’t take shit from anybody.

Tends to flip off his opponents if they annoy him too much (especially Minus Monster).

He has no fear (--thinks about how he hasn’t seen Cassie in a while--) He now has one fear.

Mike only softens up around her...and his fellow Minus BFs on occasion.

He likes skateboarding, too, but the similarities with Kenny end there.

Sometimes they steal each other’s hats.

Blue BF (Bryce)

His personality is closest to Keith’s: sweet, loyal, and sometimes a little dumb.

Even though blue usually represents sadness, he’s actually the most cheerful guy you’ll ever meet!

He’s a motorcyclist and likes taking Cassie and Minus Pico out on drives throughout Minus City.

Is usually the “peacekeeper” of the Minus BF group. 

He did suggest Cassie could share them all. But nah Kenny and Mike still like to fight for her affection at times.

Minus Skid & Pump

Minus Skid is an inky skeleton monster whose appearance usually frightened children (even tho he has the same childish demeanor as normal Skid).

He became a puppeteer and crafted a pumpkin monster (Minus Pump) so they wouldn’t be scared anymore.

The duo became quite popular in Minus City, especially during the spooky month.

Pump gained sentience through some mix of demonic and friendship magic, and was able to sing and talk on his own. 

But he can’t move without Minus Skid’s help (not that it bothers him, he sees his creator as a true best friend).

Minus Pico

A reptilian demon boi (he has scales of a snake but the aggression of a crocodile).

Is obsessed with dinosaurs--his ancestors--and their history. He’ll pull out the glock if someone tries telling him they’re extinct.

He’s got a collection of prehistoric stuff (gems, volcanic rocks, fossils, amber, etc.). When he’s not busy with rap battles he just reads about dinosaurs and organizes his collections.

Has the same foul mouth as normal Pico but isn’t as traumatized as him. Though he still carries a gun around bc it makes him feel safe.

Is scared af of Minus Monster and will hiss if he shows up.

He’s carnivorous and loves steak.

Minus Monster

Is way more unhinged than normal Lemon Demon.

In fact he was so dangerous he was contained in a facility (one built for overly-powered demons) but he managed to escape and murdered the guards.

He’s very giggly, even in serious moments, and can never stop smiling.

All three Minus BFs are terrified of him.

For some reason, though, Minus Skid isn’t afraid of him. In fact he showed off Pump’s dancing skills once and suddenly Minus Monster became protective of both of them.

They do learn he was subjected to cruel treatment in the facility, hence his unstableness so they try to cheer him up to keep him calm.

When his body becomes static, he can go through TVs and electronic devices.

Minus Mom (Mary)

Same personality as Monica.

But she’s pretty brash compared to her husband Luke, and more snappy at the satyr dancers.

Her pupils can turn to Xs (like in her danger icon) in a comical fashion whenever she’s shocked, disgusted, or defeated.

When Cassie was holding onto the speakers for dear life during her week, she just laughed. She really isn’t that concerned for her safety. She just likes to show off her singing skills.

Of the three Minus BFs, she teases Mike the most for how grumpy he always is.

Minus Dad (Luke)

Is more lax when compared to Luis.

He’s still protective over his daughter and wants BF (no matter who it is) to prove he’s worthy.

When the three showed up to his studio, he was like “oh okay umm....whoever sings the best wins the right to date her.”

But....they all sang perfectly, so he couldn’t choose. So he just allowed them to “figure it out” (and even now they still haven’t).

Possesses fire magic and can summon/breathe purple flames to impress the crowds or intimidate rivals.

Shares Mary’s habit of the pupils becoming Xs.

Minus GF (Cassie)

Isn’t all that different from Charlotte, being the same encouraging GF that the BFs needed.

She’s also a dancer--specifically hiphop--and may sometimes dance around during the rap battles.

The three Minus BFs are fighting for her love constantly, but she tries giving them all equal amounts of affection.

She simply can’t choose who to love more (though she finds Bryce’s personality to be the sweetest).

Enjoys Minus Skid’s puppet shows and always applauds him.

My personal pet peeve is fics where Dick is treated like some kind of… slutty himbo ig, jokes get made about him being ‘easy’ and ‘exhibitionist’, he’s flirty and charming all the time, incredibly tolerant of people objectifying him, the type to just smile and awkwardly laugh when they’re uncomfortable, super duper cuddly and nurturing and a pushover, very emotionally dependent on Bruce, the peacekeeper, the loyal lieutenant who asks how high whenever Bruce says jump… those fics where Dick’s characterization is basically like, all heart and ass, pure of heart, dumb of ass, with emphasis on the ass. I’m sure I haven’t covered everything. I love Dick so so much and it’s honestly disheartening to see him get watered down so much, his personality warped and his skills dumbed down and his purpose reduced to being the smiley one with the butt!

mm yeah there are a couple things here. Slutty Dick is..bad and I hate it. And the whole butt thing has long since gone from a amusing little aside to a joke to overblown it's a detriment.

Dick as the smilely, cuddly, nurturing dummy is such a weird dissolution of the character. It's like people went from... Dick is serious, competent, and the most emotionally intelligent of his family -> Dick is the most touchy-feely and emotional -> This gets progressively more exaggerated -> Dick is so cuddly and emotional compared to his family that they get annoyed by it -> Dick has no emotional intelligence (because he's always forcing people into unwanted emotional displays, you see).

And then he is dumb and cuddly, and all the complications are gone, particularly in respect to his relationship with Bruce. Which becomes either totally warm and friendly no problems at all, or the problems are somehow distorted into being Dick's fault because he's simply too dumb and oblivious and can't see that Bruce is just trying to be a great dad. (Naturally it couldn't possibly be that the significant parent/child issues here are, yknow, the fault of the parent.)

From what I've seen, a lot of attempts to fix this have pushed "well also he gets angry sometimes," which just leads to an overly emotional guy who can now be both happy and mad. When really, we should be going back to the beginning to make him more serious and much more competent in the first place.

IM BORED. my top three farscape eps from each season::::::: looking at these i think season two has the best EPISODE concepts (it was hard choosing faves from that season bc i love so many) but season 4 is my favorite for just,,,,,,, the hecking Yearning + domestication in each episode but i dont particularly favor the episodes themselves 

Season 1:

through the looking glass - i always saw this ep as being the first completely filler ep that really felt like farscape with the crew all working together and having a VERY CUTE little laugh about it at the end. i love the vagueness of it, it’s not annoying or cliche??? and i’m particularly fond of the yellow moya scenes like rygel’s like “shall i disrobe so it will be memorable” is one of my fave lines from him.

a human reaction - mY TRASH. MYYYY TRASH. just one of those farscape eps that are so Abstract in concept, they are just Default Faves for me like Always haha. so many good little j/a crumbs, the kiss in this ep is one of my BIG FAVES, i love everything about that scene and the ones leading up to it. LOVE THE RAIN SCENE. it’s probably the very first time john is like ‘maybe Earth bad’ and,,, ‘maybe space girl Good’ and i love that thruline of the show. this ep stands soooooo far apart from the majority of season 1 for me.

nerve: the hidden memory - “THE RADIANT AERYN SUN.” stark isn’t unbearable in his debut episodes woah! i like him as a sad boy who isnt a plot device! love gilina, love her death (rip), love seeing how far john and aeryn have come since they’d last seen her, love aeryn and crais’s interaction in this episode like YES GIRL SLAY, love whenever aeryn has to juggle with feeling WEAK and having to put her big girl pants on to save her himbo, love any interaction between d’argo and aeryn LOVE THAT.

Season 2:

crackers don't matter - the DIALOGUE in this episode is Insane and i LOVE IT i think there are so many line deliveries in this ep that are so memorable and Iconic they all just live in my mind rent FREE. i wish the commentary for this episode wasn’t about the more practical aspects of it because UUUHUUH i genuinely would love to just Absorb the mindset behind it. GOD TIER FILLER. 

out of their minds - i am such a whore for body swap tropes it’s humiliating. another ep with a lot of iconic line deliveries! i love cb playing as john! love that for her! bb as rygel too is amazing i love all their stupid accent switching SO MUCH. love the skeksis love that they joke about them looking like skeksis because it’s jim henson and they can DO THAT. 

won't get fooled again - any time i think about this ep im like man how Opened Third Eye was it to have john just immediately be like “haha ok this is fake lmao” like it’s so SUBVERSIVE in what it does pretty much right off the bat in introducing the moya crew as “normal” humans. eps like these are just ALWAYS my faves in tv series because of how crazy they can get and this one does and i love it so much for that.

Season 3: 

scratch n' sniff - any time i get the moya crew on a pleasure planet or at a rave im like HELLO. :) I LOVE RAXIL she’s such a funky little freak. describing this ep is so weird its like Oh Yeah The Boob Juice Sucking One. JUST JOHN AND D’ARGO BEING BACHELORS, WHAT BLISS. i wish i got more john + d’argo shenanigans in this show ‘cause they are like such a fave together dynamically mwah mwah mwah. <3 

into the lion's den: wolf in sheep's clothing - its a little crazy how much i Hate the first half of this two-parter which is super PANDERY AND BAD and then the last half is like so Insane and such a good close for the season. EVERYONE’S SO MISERABLE. the scorp shots with the imploding ship and the water UGHGUGHUGH <33333 love aeryn in this love her trying to save the Peacekeepers, love JOHN, love the little scientist nerd who works under Scorp i forget his name WHOOPS he has a nice design. THE CRAIS + TALYN DEATH IS SO GOOD;;;; LOVE THAT FOR THEM;;;;; <3333

 dog with two bones - i think the fact that literally no other tv show has pulled THIS MESS off really speaks to the uniqueness of farscape and its ABILITY TO TELL ROMANCE??? theres so much in this that is just like WOWOWOWOW THIS EP IS SO GOOD. the part where they kill the rogue leviathan and rygel is celebrating on the comms and it transitions to aeryn Going Insane in her prowler over everything that’s happening. Again I'll be splitting this into two separate categories, Ashton as a Pollen and Ashton as a member of staff for the NRC greenhouse. The AU was made by @zackcarrion-key it's linked in her intro post.

Also I think this version of Ashton is more fanon because idk much about him in canon except people seem to dislike him very much and I just think he's a himbo if himbos could be narcissists and eat an unholy number of eggs. (although admittedly they could probably do the latter)

1 - Ashton as a Pollinic

I can see Ashton pollinics coming from some hardier/larger plants such as trees, particularly pine trees as I think some sort of chemical for testosterone can be sourced from them (and Ashton is muscular af) along with the fact that I like how they smell and that's pretty much it. I can also see Ashton pollen coming along with various vegetable plants. Specially eggplants. Simply because this musclehead eats an unholy amount of eggs and I think its a funny reference.

(Also look at them and tell me that the male/futanari pollens wouldnt have monster cocks. If you do then you are lying to me, you are lying to yourself, and you are lying to whatever poor God is forced to look down upon us and see what the fuck we're doing.)

Yet another reason why I can see them coming from vegetable plants is their urge to keep their partners strong and, as a result, feeding them during some sessions if there are fresh, edible plants available. Of course, if there aren't any available then he'd simply resort to giving their partners plenty of their nectar seeing as they have a particularly high honey output.

These pollinics have a preference for more muscular or athletic people who seem to have taken good care of their physique. Along with that, anyone who's exercising nearby or doing some hard work (such as tilling soil on a farm) can be especially prone to their attention. Pine pollen just can't help but want to praise someone who works hard on physical activities - and what better way than to show them how much pleasure they can give them with their strength?

If you end up attracting the attention of this pollen, then be prepared for more physically demanding sex positions (for either partner!) they're particularly interested in standing sex positions where they can lift up their partner, or having their partner ride them/riding their partner, and can go on for multiple rounds with one pollen (often leading to overstimulation by the end of it.)

2 - Ashton as NRC greenhouse staff

If I remember correctly, Ashton is known to have tended to some of the grounds in the game, so perhaps he has a similar job in this AU. He works on watering the plants and making sure the fields on the NRC property are well maintained, sometimes taking the time to help some more rowdy pollens calm down by holding them down face-first in the bushes and pounding into them until they're too tired to cause too much trouble.

That's another one of his jobs. The peacekeeper in the greenhouse. Although rare, there's a chance that pollens that are less than fond of one another (an example being poinsettia/Malleus and Plumeria/Leona) may cross paths, and if that's the case then Ashton's the one to call. Either to separate them and wrangle them into the proper areas to be milked until they're more docile, or even handle the issue with his own two hands. After all, there's nothing more effective in calming down these troublesome pollinics than a good dicking down.

He's also often the one to help with more strength-focused milking jobs, either wrangling less cooperative pollens (such as apple blossom/Epel or hell's bell/Jamil on a bad day) into the harnesses/restraints used for milking them, carrying large containers brimming with honey from the pollinics still moaning and gasping for more as they're continuously milked, and working on hand-milking some of the pollen particles that have particular preferences (he's the best man to call to manhandle a dandelion/Ruggie. After all, the more turned on and happy they are as they're milked, the better tasting their nectar becomes.)

She felt like she’d been walking forever and was certain her platoon-mates could agree with her, as they hadn’t done this much traveling since before they were all stuck in the Darklands. You see, Wimble might not be the brightest, but she isn’t an idiot. She could see as the fought during the battle for the Eternal Night that they were fighting a losing battle, and loyal as she may be, she wasn’t willing to lose any more friends, especially after leaving behind so many in their frantic escape from the Darklands. In those moments she gathered up her merry band of comrades and together, they fled the scene, avoiding humans every step of the way in their search for true safety. Their group consisted of Wimble, her whelp Peechi, Matchi(Oni troll and adoptive father to most of the platoon), Barbul(platoon leader and Desert troll), Koonic(Angora troll and stealthy expert), Piffle(Krubera, healer, and designated mom friend), Pillary(Kitlar and weapon smith), Jellen(Luminosii troll, Peacekeeper, and good natured himbo), Slates(Mud troll and bomb enthusiast), Huckle(Oasis Desert troll and toxicology enthusiast), and the twins, Floki and Farine(Taurotragus and Mountain troll, Matchi’s whelps.). In front of her, their platoon leader paused, Wimble and the others quickly following his example, the Harpy troll peeking around Barbul’s large form to see what caught his attention. Lights? There couldn’t possibly be any humans out here, they were too far into the mountains! Wait. Those aren’t humans, those are trolls! They’d stumbled across a village, what luck! The other are excited at the prospect of finally finding a place to rest, but are quickly quieted by Barbul’s reminder that they may not be welcoming to Gumm-gumms. The eldest of the group, Matchi, implores him that they should at least try approaching, as everyone was positively exhausted. Their platoon leader thinks for a moment before begrudgingly agreeing, everyone falling in line behind him as the group cautiously draws nearer to the village. Wimble wonders what awaits them, hoping it’s something good.

I'm stuck working on the current Oneshot (maybe i can post it tomorrow afternoon?? [EU TIMEZONE, learn it you fuckers.] Comment if you want it, no spoilers for the plot though...) and my brain needs an outlet for my thoughts anyways. So what better way than with some trivial facts about Casey and the story that revolves around her addition to the game (or call it an "AU", but not with me in the same room, thanks.)

Ideas, thoughts and whatever else floating around in my brain about Dying Light 2 and the stories:

First of all, you can bet your asses that the Survivors want her dead the moment they find out she's "kissing the ass of one of the Pigkeeper's lieutenant" and literally any encounter she has with any of them ends with Casey eventually just sliding out of the trouble via a dark/shady alley nearby or so by using their usual chaos during their attacks to her favor.

She isn't there to erase them off the face of earth, sure she COULD, but Villedor needs people to rebuild. Peacekeepers alone to lead the people isn't enough. Though technically Villedor could become a "safe haven" for wandering survivors from the outside, or maybe a meeting hub for Pilgrims across France? So TECHNICALLY you...or Villedor in that case, didn't NEED the Survivors. Rebuilding will be done partially by Seneux's help as well anyways.

Casey just watches people from somewhere high up doing her free time, being like *sips from Water Bottle* "Interesting." for her own personal collection of knowledge and information on for example how the Survivors fight or with what kind of weakness she has to help the Peacekeepers (like parkour, you ground-bound fucking blue jays...)

Casey is smart but dense if it's about love...She never felt a need for it beforehand and never actually felt it.

Then Aitor comes waltzing into the bloody room and her brain is like "Yes. This one."

And Aitor looked at her and was like "Oh. Hi...why are you cute? Why is a little cutie HERE?? In this literal shit hole??

She has never emotionally recovered from this and now is stuck loving a himbo dilf that is also actually smart but just as dense. In the general sense of things, not love.

Seneux is a region, now at least, i seem to have had a typo in the first second chapters i believe? It was once "just" a capital. But it fell apart a slight bit during the end of the Fall and relatively quickly pulled itself back together, size and civil wise, while also grabbing off some former parts of Bordeaux with time. (And it's still growing...and growing. Maybe a bit too much?)

I have no clue what Aitor's kids names are in-game, do they get revealed at some point by Aitor?, i just decided on Emily and Jake because Aitor looks the kind of dad to me who wanted these names and had a literal hissy fit about it with his (Ex-)Wife.

Also a probability: On his wiki page, his kids aren't listed as his Family... (Or even mentioned?? Is Fandom sleeping on the characters details orrrr??) So maybe, I'm not going with it in the stories, but maybe they aren't biologically his kids. Maybe Patricia brought them into the relationship?

Which would make the fact that Emily and Jake kinda fucking love Casey a really sad thing... imagine your biological mom being so fucking heartless towards your step-dad, who you learn to love like a real dad, that you side with the woman your step dad started dating because she's kinder and saved your asses from a definitely uncomfortable death by being eaten alive.

Casey's strengths are high agility and combat strength. Her weaknesses are that she might accidentally jump right into an enemy because of her said jumpiness and "low" stamina (only during a fight, freerunning/Parkour are a whole different story) and she's mediocre at defending herself, often forgetting she isn't invincible, no matter if "angry" or fighting normally.

Casey at this point hasn't been infected, like most of Seneux, due to obvious reasons (Not heavily affected of the Fall) and seems to haven been bitten multiple times with no change to her condition.

Her moral alignment is definitely Chaotic Good, on bad days leaning towards Chaotic Neutral.

and last one for now: Aitor is a Dilf in the literal sense: A hot Dad we wanna fuck (and love, adore, hug, hold in our arms when he gets hurt...you get my point) badly.

This one could be fuckin *all* of them, but it's probably Kelarvia Arana, aka Kel. Poor dwarven fighter exile from Orzamar who turned to the Qun, was trained wrong as a spy, failed her family, failed the qun, failed her friends, and kept trying to do right. She was... not bright. She took a face full of acid breath for her troubles, got repeatedly stabbed by everyone around her, and still kept fucking trying. She was not in a great place by the end of that campaign.

Closeted Trans Person Gender Envy Character™

So, while I'm very much cis, I did toy around with the idea of genderfluidity and transness at one point. And the closest character to that would have been a major NPC that I had in my pokemon game, Claire deVire. She was a literal illusionist / Fairy Type mage, and honestly one of my favorite NPCs to use in the game. I played her as a confident and experienced trainer who had an air of mystery, was clever and flirtatious, and who had a very accomplished team including trans icon Sylveon. She is/was one of the main *villains* of the campaign, but that's besides the point. If I was a girl, she's who I'd want to be - but I'm pretty solid in my gender at this point.

That would be Lucas Maignard, the Silver Lion. Not just your average silver fox, but a nobleman who absolutely could rock it. Think Rollo from Vikings except salt and pepper hair. He was power hungry, a staunch revanchist of his family's ancestral title and he would go to every length it took to reclaim it, including trying to seduce the King's consort. He, notably, caused at least one if not more international incidents by insulting the soccer abilities of a neighboring kingdom.

He may have had the highest charisma of any character I've played.

Allow me to introduce you to Broderic Gullet, a 6'6 tall constantly drunken scotsman Barbarian with a hammer who was unkillable. Literally - he actually died at one point and came back to life because he was too damn stubborn to leave before his friends had gotten to safety, and some passing spirit possessed him and turned him into an abomination. He was jovial, friendly, could talk to his cat Mr. Pickles, and wonderfully buff enough he could hug all his friends at once. Plus he was a trained chef.

As Fruity And Extra As Possible

Oh this is easy. The Satyr Diplomat Cheldric delWolpertinger, a man who *honestly* should have read the recommended reading before being sent to deliver very important documents (these were actually talking frogs!). He was supposed to board a new train on the mountainous passage to Westport, but forgot his ticket. When the train left, he literally jumped (and I mean I cast "jump" and specifically was a Satyr for their Mirthful Leaps feature which adds 1d8 to my jump distance) onto the back of the train. Unfortunately, the murder of the conductor was a bit of an issue, but Cheldric and some other passengers put their heads together to solve the mystery.

So, allow me to set the stage for Albie, Traitor to Crowkind. A Kenku that was as much benefit to the party as he was walking, curse triggering hazard, this absolute buffoon would do what he could to simultaneously help the party while also doing his best not to piss of Strahd too much. A lighting bolt cast into the middle of melee that hit everyone totally gives him plausible deniability for who survives.

I think my favorite memory though is when one of the other party members just opened his beak and he started reciting the Book of Strahd like Stitch plays that record in Lilo & Stitch

A good runner up here would also be Nilbo, a Kobold Druid who only became a druid because it let him wild shape into progressively bigger lizards and dinosaurs. No other animals, just scales.

I Saw One Of The Extra Fantasy Races That Aren’t In The Player’s Handbook And Almost Had A Stroke

Listen. Listen to me. I fucking love Warforged. I will *always* go to bat for magical robots. They're amazing and I've played so many, from psions to storm domain clerics to the most recent one, Hymn, a gender-neutral Celestial Pact Warlock Warforged who got his abilities because he was a socialist. No, I'm not joking - he was made for usage by the Church of the Sovereign Host, but when a wandering heretical priest came by wondering why the church didn't do more, Hymn started going out at night to perform direct action and mutual aid. Being not that smart, he accidentally wandered into a cult's base and released a captive celestial, who gifted him the power to help more.

I'm of a tossup here - the Halfling Artificer Posco Harfoot, who was a member of the Justicars and in order to even the playing field, built himself a goddamn magitek mech in order to go toe to toe with the other peacekeepers, or of Tiberius Vanderwhinn, an elven Path of the Zealot barbarian who was *extremely* keen on getting his libraries late fees sorted, and gods help you if you dared shout in his library.

Very few things are sexier than a tiefling, and that would be Boreo Lieran, the Tiefling Bard. Boreo was a staunch contender for the "As fruity as possible" but this pansexual beast is much more in line here because the man seduced half the party prior to or during session 1. Having a prehensile tail and the ability to pick up the gnome lass in the party by it for him to tease probably helped.

Of course, such a man was hilariously illegal, because not only did he smuggle and steal like, 90% of his luxury goods that he used to pamper himself with, he would absolutely flaunt a total disregard for property rights and find himself making grand entrances into peoples homes and lives as part of his wayward caravan, leaving a trail of chaos in his wake.

A "human" wizard on the plane of Theros, this man is the half-divine son of the literal personification of the pride of a polis that was wiped off the face of the world by the gods for their Hubris. So, an active devotee of the god of victory, and actively blaspheming the goddess of destiny at every turn (As he would put it, we hold the pen in our hands, she merely hoards the ink), his goal was to perform deeds good enough to earn a place as a constellation under the stars. He would only *ever* sleep outside at night, even in cities, because he wanted to rest with them as he knew one day he would for eternity.

Mat/Tuon meta: Will He/Won’t He (Stage A Military Coup)

Back on my Mat/Tuon meta horse! This is about why Tuon is absolutely convinced Mat won't mount a military coup against her, and under what circumstances he just might, actually. Obviously, ‘ware series spoilers. The personal/political dynamic Mat and Tuon have at the end of the series continues to fascinate me. Tuon is well aware that Mat’s prince-consort position, Prince of the Ravens, is a position that could lead a military coup against her leadership; she knows all about the power struggle that imperialist, expansionist government leaders face with respect to their armies and the generals that lead the armies. She also knows at this point that Mat specifically has the skillset to pull that kind of thing off; he has demonstrated political skill even if he's not used to Seanchan customs (she noted that the way he diffused tension in the hell boded well for his ability to handle Seanchan court politics), he quickly inspires personal trust and loyalty in his troops regardless of what troops he's actually leading (see: when he meets back up with the Band in the Altaran wilderness, plus how quickly her own armies took to him), and of course he is brilliant at tactics and strategy (see: the entire series starting at book 4). She is also *certain* that he won't actually use that power against her. He has shown her personal loyalty on numerous other occasions, and Tuon's entire brand and survival strategy is generating personal loyalty due to her power (or potential power), skills, and personal integrity. She knows what personal loyalty looks like and she knows how it works. She's a little appalled at herself for not being afraid of Mat staging a coup, and she even thinks that it's probably not good for her or the empire to *not* be constantly threatened by her top military commander, because she's been conditioned to believe that external threats keep her sharp and focused- but she absolutely does trust him not to be a threat to her. Which is wild!!! You have to understand how wild this is!

Tuon previously only trusted her personal safety to people she thoroughly controls- Selucia, Karede, her damane. She does have a kind of control over Mat, but it's not based on anything she's done or her position, it's based on his personality and choices, and I don't think she thinks she controls him. (I think she believes she has authority over him, and that's at least somewhat true, but that's much different from the total control she has over enslaved people, or even the political control she has over the Blood.) She does also trust people she doesn't entirely control- the people who are almost her peers- but notably she doesn't trust them not to hurt her. She trusts that they'll act in ways benefiting their own self-interest or the interest of the empire, which could mean they might hurt her.

Mat, on the other hand, she trusts not to hurt her except accidentally, by making choices that have implications for her standing. (That's what all the manners lessons are about, she's trying to protect him so he doesn't leave her exposed.) Again, THIS IS WILD. Tuon’s an autocratic empress raised under the threat of assassination from birth, she has MAJOR trust and control issues, and here is someone she does not fully control but whom she implicitly trusts not to physically or even intentionally harm her. Do you think she's ever had that experience in her life before? I can't see how she would have. I think there's room to explore this in a way that would be therapeutic for Tuon, but it's also an extremely tempting vulnerability to exploit narratively. Either way, it's fascinating. So what's Mat's motivation not to harm Tuon, and how much of it does Tuon know? It's both a character thing and a situational thing, and I think Tuon knows about some of it, but not all of it, and she also has some major blind spots about what Mat is capable of. Mat won't intentionally harm her for a couple of general character reasons: he's in love with her, which she knows about and is like 'weird flex, but ok'; I don't know if she really knows how to parse it tbh. Also, because he won't kill a woman, which she knows about and is like 'this dumbassery is going to get my himbo straight-up murdered; however, it's kinda cute'. Also, because he has a saving-people-especially-women-thing, which she may or may not know about; I forget whether it came up in any of her surreal chats with Mat's childhood friends, but even if it did she may not know enough to give it proper context in his motivations, or understand how truly generalized it is. He's also promised to protect her from harm in the past, and while that may have been a time-/situation-limited thing, she's seen that he keeps his promises, assuming he gave the promise in earnest. So while he hasn't necessarily made such a promise recently, she knows that he keeps his word and that's something she values as a mark of integrity and a reason to trust someone. The other reasons she trusts him are more down to circumstances: the Last Battle had him temporarily siding with the Seanchan against their common enemy, the Dark One. I think Tuon's aware that he's not fully committed to the Empire yet, but possibly she doesn't realize the extent to which he is ambivalent, or she thinks it's the kind of thing they can compromise on, like the uniform design, rather than a fundamental disconnect in goals. Or she thinks that once he understands what his responsibilities are, he'll absorb himself into the role the way she has, which is... uh... rather optimistic of her, but we all have our blind spots. Finally, I don't think Mat's fully realized that a military coup (which would likely look like a situation where he spares Tuon's life but gets her off the throne) is an option for him. Or, it's occurred to him, but the circumstance has not yet come up that would justify him taking that path. And I do *not* think Tuon has considered this! She might think he knows that the Prince of Ravens is traditionally a threat to the Empress, but I don't recall that she's actually said that to him. And I don't think she sees a difference between her not being Empress and her being dead- she's conflated 'being in power' with 'staying alive' literally her entire life, and she probably thinks any situation where she's not Empress but still alive, if it's even possible, would be so shameful/painful it would be better to be dead. So it wouldn't occur to her that one outcome of a coup would be to replace her as government head but still keep her alive. And Mat hasn't yet faced a situation where he might have major ethical issues with not just the structure of the army but also the goals of it. (Even his iconic ‘I am accidentally leading an army despite really not wanting to lead an army, because I can’t let these dumbasses get killed’ move was ethically consistent, since he was just trying to run away/save people.) And, as I will never shut up about, he’s done literal war crimes to achieve his goals before- he didn’t stop to give aid after he ambushed the Seanchan in the Altaran forest, even though Teslyn specifically says this is against Randland military convention. And given Mat’s early canonical history of being railroaded into leading military campaigns, I don’t think Mat’s going to balk at leading the Seanchan army just because he doesn’t like the Seanchan empire, though it will matter what specifically he’s asked to do with it and why. I think Mat's way more likely to be willing to lead the reunification of Seanchan than to deal with local Westlands slave uprisings or rebellion. You're going to hit his moral breaking point a lot sooner if there's domestic civil crises. An actual slave revolt or rebellion would get hit with military force, and Mat says as much to Beslan so he's well aware that he'd be, if not in charge, certainly culpable for the Seanchan government response to it. (They might try to prevent it from happening at all with Seekers; but Seekers are mostly focused on the Blood, I think, so I think it's possible that if there's minimal Blood involvement they might not know about it in time to nip it in the bud.) So if you wanted to force Mat to have a crisis of conscience that's one situation you could set up, and I think it's even somewhat likely. Post-TG Seanchan-Westland politics are going to be a Cold War, and many entities in the Westlands would be happy to lend plausibly deniable support to an organic citizen and/or slave uprising! The other thing is, Mat needs to be constantly occupied and he does like using his skills; if he gets an 'acceptable' target for military force he probably will go for it. So if the forces in Seanchan unified under a rando warlord, he'd probably be ok leading the Westlands Seanchan troops there, reasoning that Tuon is probably a better or at least more influenceable ruler than that other guy. (Might be complicated if it was a female unifier, but probably not that much.) He would not be keen on enslaving the free Westlands- not that that’s going to happen as long as the Dragon’s Peace is going on- but a ‘peacekeeping mission in a foreign land’? ...idk, I can see him going for it, especially if he doesn't have enough political capital yet to back up an outright refusal. Mat was conflicted about using the damane he captured in the Last Battle, but he did use her. She was a prisoner of war from the enemy side, which probably eased his conscience a little re: personally owning her, but I don't see anywhere in the text that he had issues commanding Seanchan sul'dam and damane in a less personal way. The Last Battle was an unusual situation, but we've also seen Mat willing to ally or at least put up with plenty of people he dislikes- on personal and ideological grounds- to achieve a goal (see: rescuing Joline) or just figure out his options (see: all that card-playing with nobles in the Stone of Tear while he had emotions about Rand. XD)

So if you wanted to force Mat to have a moral crisis while fighting in Seanchan, you'd make the people he's fighting in Seanchan be people he sympathizes with more than he sympathizes with imperial Seanchan; let's say it's a coalition of rebels who want a different, more equal society. Mat's got gilt by association (thank you for that amazing phrase, Terry Pratchett) and he's not pleased about it, and unlike Tuon, he can envision a situation where she's still alive but not Empress. So I think that'd be another situation that would force him to have a crisis of conscience and start planning a coup or at least using his considerable power for leverage. The key in both cases is that it's not just Mat randomly deciding to take a stand for freedom; frankly, I don't think he would, unless he thought it was the best way to 'rescue' Tuon, and even then he would wait or maneuver until the tactical/strategic landscape was as much in his favor as possible, which is where the external circumstances weakening the Empire come in.
