LAKOTA

COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS

That she's bad, or a villain. She does bad things, but she is not bad in the way one would normally view it as. She is a product of mother nature, and nature can be cruel... Nature can be very cruel, and she embodies that cruelness of mother nature. She does not do bad things to be consciously evil, just like the bear does not eat an animal alive to be consciously evil to that animal. You may be able to nurture some behaviors, but at the end of the day, she is a wild predator, your genetics are what ultimately shape you.

AN IMPORTANT HEADCANON

Lakota values the life of an animal over a human. She's gone against her nature once before, and maybe she'd do it again for someone she really loved, but if given the ultimatum between being able to save one; a human or an animal, she will save the animal. She is, after all, a nature deity meant to fight back against humans, not with or for them.

A USELESS HEADCANON

She hates the cities because they are so void of life. Just concrete, brick and metal structures, and so much of it that it's basically all but eradicated all signs of "real" life. Wildlife; the things that come to life naturally. Flowers, trees, roots, weeds, grass, lakes and so on. Cities are dead.

POTENTIAL TRIGGERS

Violence, murder, death, gore, that's the gist of it that I can come with up on the spot.

SOMETHING YOU ENJOY ABOUT (WRITING) THEM

Not to toot my own horn or anything but I love the concept of Lakota's overall character and species that I've managed to throw together. I know she can be a lot to deal with, given her nature, but that's kind of why I love her so much. Her concept reminds of the tv show "Zoo," and why I love that show so much... Because, well, the show says it best; for centuries we have domesticated animals, locked them up, killed them for sport... What if the animals decided no more? What if they decided to bite back? And that's basically what Lakota is. She's the one that's biting back.

SOMETHING YOU WANT OTHERS TO KNOW BEFORE WRITING WITH THEM

I've already mentioned this, but she is a lot to handle given her nature. She can be frustrating, she's naturally aggressive and difficult to get along with. But I promise, once you've broken through that shell, she's actually very sweet and friendly. It's the getting there that's the problem.

Last Line WIP

But she can’t allow herself to dwell on that. Because her thoughts are not her own anymore, much to her ever-increasing dismay, and letting him catch even a whiff of her uncertainties would spell the death of her. So she turns on the faucet and lets the water run while she finally drags her gaze up to the mirror.

The struggles of the day are smeared across her body like warpaint. Oil, mud, and blood smudges her cheeks, splatters her neck and chest, stains her torn black tank top. Her bright blue hair is streaked with brown and black stripes, crumbling against her touch when she brushes a hand through it on instinct. There’re vicious red blisters all over her skin from the sand squalls and she’d apparently torn an earring out at some point given the unsettling amount of dried blood on her left earlobe. Two butterfly bandages close a slash over her forehead, another seals one along her jawline. The bullet she’d taken in the arm during the firefight with Kang Tao had been wrapped and Bounce Back’d twice but fuck, does it still feel like absolute dogshit, each movement making it throb against the bandages around her right bicep.

V sticks her hands under the tap until the water pools a sludgy brown, then begins to scrub her arms and face. By the time she’s done, she looks marginally better. Cleaner, at least. Her tanned skin is raw but no longer filthy, damp hair raked through and smoothed down along her skull. Her clothes are still gross, not much she can do about that, but everything else seems…adequate, manageable. That’s about all she can hope for these days, isn’t it? Fucking manageable.

last series: My Roommate, but that doesn't count as a decent series for me. I wish I could go with "The Eclipse", but it was "My Bromance", not the thai one, but the taiwanese one from 2018. It was quite good.

last movie: Dangerous Dr*gs of S*x...I have nothing to say in my defense. It was distrubing af and really hard to watch. But at the same time it was really good. Very intense and psychologically challenging.

currently working on: I have my bl-tropes series on which I can work 24/7, but I just enjoy watching stuff at the moment and collecting ideas and scenes for the series 😅
