im dying to know how you got that brush stroke texture thats in your miguel drawings! is it an image that youve overlayed or is it an actual brush :0
It's an actual brush! Rebelle 5, the art software I use to get that effect, is all about simulating traditional art, so the watercolor brushes make the colors bleed out on the canvas like actual watercolor, and so on.
The way I get the effect on a drawing that's already done is by drawing with an oil paint brush on an overlay layer on top, painting with a gray that's right in the middle of the value scale, so none of the colors or values change on the finished drawing, but only leaves the texture of the brush. But man, I'm itching to actually make a video and show you now lmao. Perhaps soon.

i feel weird about this posts where someone's hyper-realistic painting gets the comments under it that are like, "GUYS HOLD UP THIS IS A PAINTING" it feels like the statement is: "i thought this was a photo and it was worthless to me, but then i realized it was a painting so i guess it's good, actually"
