I love dragons first and best, although a griffin would also be tremendous. I don't know what I would do with either! Hmm, I don't drink tea, so I would personally be drinking hot chocolate, but I would be delighted to provide fancy teas for other people! Also lots of baked goods to snack on. Cupcakes and shortbread and cream horns and so on. I don't know what goes with tea, I've just been watching a lot of celebrity bake-off recently. As for who to invite...the obvious answer is friends in other countries I'll never get to meet in person irl, assuming this is the magical sort of tea party which exists across time and space. Alternatively I might invite notorious wits and notorious jackasses to the party and then not show up myself, just record them talking/engaging in combat and turn it into a wildly lucrative podcast series.

I'm thirty one and have never been in love or even had a serious crush on an actual living human I know personally, so I feel like there's a possibility I might be aro, or something along those lines? But I am also horribly shy and very private and may just never have had a wide enough pool of friends to develop those feelings for someone compatible. Small acts of service go a long way with Izzy, considering how she's used to fending for herself in one way or another.

One act that most quickly earns her favour is bringing her coffee (black with a near sickening amount of sugar in it, but it has to be real coffee, not "that instant shit", and she prefers light/blonde roasts over the darker roasts as they have more caffeine in them). Probably even more so from a non-human crew member, especially from the dextro squad since they can't even drink it themselves, so it takes more effort on their part to learn her coffee order and get it right (though she won't complain if they get it wrong, and will probably drink it even still, something she won't do for most of the humans who try the same thing).

Another is helping with her gear maintenance, tending to her armour and weapons, though there are exceptionally few that she trusts with the task (Garrus, of course, is one of those few). Not having to worry about doing it herself opens up time for other tasks, so she can get her reports done more quickly and maybe manage to find some precious few moments to actually relax for a change.

And while she would never admit it, inviting her to share a meal - even platonically - whether on the Normandy or out and about elsewhere, will always draw her in. In most verses, she doesn't have much experience with family, so shared meals aren't a thing that she's accustomed to, to the point that she often can be found just eating as quickly as possible while standing at the counter before going about her day. So being included in that sense - especially given her reputation that leads to a lot of people being nervous around her at best or outright fearful at worst - will get her to warm up to those involved and will get behind the walls she tends to try to keep around herself for fear of abandonment.

1: Is writing cathartic or stressful for you?

cathartic! the second writing becomes stressful i'll leave it for a little while and focus on other projects like art or coding, but i don't think i've been particularly stressed about my writing projects before. mostly because i like to finish a whole piece before i start posting anything online, so i don't have times where i'm behind on posting schedules or anything. i like to take my time with wips so they're as good as they can possibly be

Laila raised an eyebrow and her lips tugged up into a mirthful smile. “You have three guesses, and if you’re wrong you have to admit defeat outloud and then I will give it to you. Loser’s concession.”

Alvarez narrowed their eyes. “Fine, but you’re not allowed to get my defeat on camera.”

Laila affected surprise. “So sure you’ll lose?”

“I think that you’ll give me the wrong number anyway and then watch me text weird stuff to complete strangers.”

“Weird stuff?”

“Memes about going to other worlds that are only filled with water.”

“What memes are you seeing that describe that?”

“I’m going to make the memes. I’ll be the meme-creator. The memeator.”

7: Were there any ideas you had for the world’s longest game that you couldn’t make work? What were they?

for the world's longest game the struggle for me was finding any ideas. i knew i wanted to try writing canon-verse, but it was a lot harder than i expected. from what i remember of my planning process, i had a few ideas about a longer fic for lailalvarez, but the ideas i remember were all salvaged and put into my next wip. to avoid spoilers, one of them was having laila invited to alvarez's family dinner or event, but this is immediately following an argument so alvarez does not like laila being there

Looking back from the moment when she had finally tracked Wonka down, to him pinning her to the floor, to her choosing not to take off her gloves to gain the upper hand, to her decision to abandon her duties to Gallifrey and go on the run from the Agency... revealed over a shared breakfast in Paris...

There’s the slightest hint of confusion in her dark brown gaze even as her hearts pound with this revelation. Because, try as she might to deny it, something has drawn her to the other Time Lord in a way she’s not quite sure she can even put to words. But the fact that he seems to feel similarly himself?

It’s difficult to imagine that anyone from Gallifrey would find themselves trusting anyone within the Celestial Intervention Agency - even the agents often don’t trust each other, and it’s usually with good reason. And this... whatever this is, growing between them, is going to demand trust, especially from her when she trusts next to no one in the universe.

Her gaze drops from his as she looks instead to her own gloved hands, and... as the weight of her silence and indecision bears heavily in the atmosphere, she slowly, carefully, removes her gloves.

Holding her now bare hands out to him, Carmen looks back up at him, uncertain, vulnerable, and yet... offering an invitation to trust that she’s not once shared with anyone.

“You should know what you’re getting yourself into,” she murmurs softly, half expecting him to refuse her. “Don’t make Contact unless you are certain. I have secrets I can’t tell. I'll most likely have kill you in the morning, if you change your mind.”

Little gestures of affection. He’s particularly fond of head pats or having his hair ruffled up, but that’s only if he had some sort of fondness for that person already. Ayuko’s got that. A constant presence around him helps develop that, because then he gets so accustomed to having that person nearby, he’ll miss them when they’re not (especially if they’re not with him times when they usually would be). And eventually lead to start seeking out time to spend with them, as a result of growing fondness.

Or simply just finding ways to spend more time with her in general, like inviting her as his plus one to important events. And start looking at guides to help on how to woo her, because he has absolutely no idea what he’s doing, pls help

He has no idea when he should. If she makes a move to, he’s not gonna stop her, no matter the situation. Will freeze up (sometimes literally), but he won’t push her away. He might be the one to initiate if he’s flustered and just goes for it, but then he might end up spending the net few minutes setting things on fire. Or if he’s observed (either by watching others or just by guessing) that the mood calls for it and he tries his hand at following it.
