En Japón, en los días de agosto, del 13 al 16, se celebra el Obon, que lo podemos ver en multitud de animes, películas y doramas ya hice mención sobre que estas cosas no solo hay que verlas, como meros dibujos, ya que tienen mucho sentido cultural e histórico. Esta festividad tiene muchos elementos muy característicos como el Gozan no Okuribi también llamado Daimonji, muy característico de finales de estas fiestas, porque suelen ser una serie de dibujos alguno de un torii y otros como el kanji de fuego, por mencionar algunos ejemplos.

Los pepinos(se utiliza para cuando el difunto llega) y berenjenas(caso contrario cuando el difunto se va ) simbolizan la llegada y el regreso del difunto al más allá. Hay muchos países que celebran esta festividad de formas distintas, pero todos tienen en común que honran a sus antepasados, es una festividad que tiene 400 a 500 años de antigüedad y es de origen budista. Para finalizar la publicación mencionaremos el Awa-Odori, (Odori significa bailar) y data del siglo XVI.

In Japan, in the days of August, from the 13th to the 16th, Obon is celebrated, which we can see in many anime, movies and doramas. I have already mentioned that these things should not only be seen as mere drawings, as they have a lot of cultural and historical meaning. 通称「Tears in rain monologue」(雨の中の涙モノローグ)、または「Cビームスピーチ」として知られるこの台詞は、SF映画だけでなく映画史全体においても屈指の感動的なスクリプトとして知られています。
筆者の個人的見解では、『ブレードランナー』を後世に残る偉大な作品たらしめる要素の中でも、この台詞を含めたロイの最後の場面は最も重要だったといって過言ではありません。
冷酷な殺人マシーンのようだったロイが、短い人生の最後に愛おしむように鳩を抱きしめ、動かなくなっていく体を雨の中震わせながら絞り出す稀代の詩人のようなセンテンス。全ての観客を予期しなかった感動の渦に巻き込んだこの名台詞は、一般的にロイ・バティーを演じたルトガー・ハウアーのアドリブであったとして知られています。しかし私見ながら、これは正確な情報とは言えないと考えます。
オリジナル脚本にアドリブを加えて生まれた名台詞
ハンプトン・ファンチャーが製作上の意見の相違から降りた後、二人目の脚本家として招集されたディヴィッド・ピープルズ。彼がこのシーンの為に書き下ろしたオリジナル脚本では、該当の台詞は��うなっていました。

1ページの半分ほどもあったこの長台詞を読んだルトガー・ハウアーが、死を前にしたレプリカントの言葉としては長すぎると、台詞がもたらすイメージをそのままに要約し、そして”All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.”という言葉を付け加えて完成したのが、「雨の中の涙」モノローグです。
お気づきの方も多いと思いますが、ピープルズのオリジナル脚本には「タンホイザーゲート」、そして「Cビーム」という単語は登場しません。その代わりに、「オフワールド」や「プルーティションキャンプ」といった造語が登場しています。
ポール・M・サモン著『メイキング・オブ・ブレードランナー』(ソニーマガジンズ、1997)によると、ルトガー・ハウアー本人がインタビューで、
「私のことやあのセリフのことはよく取り上げられるが、肝心の脚本家が無視されているのはよくない。バティの独白を書いたディヴィット・ピープルズの仕事は本当に素晴らしい。私は彼が掘り下げたあのイメージがとても好きだった」とピープルズを賞賛しています。
「銀河っぽくカッコいい造語の固有名詞」を使うこと、信号灯のようなものが暗黒の宇宙で輝いていること、オリオン座の近くで宇宙船が燃えていること、これらのイメージを作り上げたピープルズを抜きに、この台詞は誕生しなかったというわけです。
このロイ・バティーの最後の言葉は、映画中盤のチュウの眼球工房でロイが口にするアメリカの詩人ウィリアム・ブレイクの詩のアレンジ「燃える様に天使は落ちた。轟くような雷鳴が岸をころがり、怪獣の火と共に消えた」や、「チュウ、お前が造った目で私が見たものを、お前にも見せてやりたかった」という台詞と対になっています(これらの台詞もピープルズによるものです)。
チュウを殺すこの場面では、戦闘用レプリカントであるロイはさぞかし凄惨な情景ばかり見せつけられて、自らの造物主に恨みを抱いているんだろうなという印象を受けるのですが、『雨の中の涙』モノローグによって、醜いものばかりでなく美しいものもたくさん見たからこそ、彼はもっと生きていたかったのかもしれないと受け取ることができるわけです。
というわけで個人的に『雨の中の涙』モノローグは、ピープルズが造った土台に、ルトガーが素晴らしいアドリブを加えた二人の共作であるとするのが一番しっくり来ます。
ちなみに「タンホイザー・ゲート」や「Cビーム」とは何か?という質問をよく受けるのですが、前述したように造語ですので正式な意味はありません。
それでも無理やり適当に解説すると「タンホイザー」とはそもそもリヒャルト・ワーグナーのオペラ『タンホイザーとヴァルトブルクの歌合戦』に登場する主人公の名前です。ゲートってからには、ワープの発着点のようなものが想像できます。ドイツ系のタンホイザーという人が開発したんでしょう、きっと。
「Cビーム」の方は何でしょう、宇宙戦艦がマッチのように燃えていることから『ブレードランナー』世界における兵器ではないかと推測できます。「Charged particle-beam 」(荷電粒子ビーム)という言葉はあるので、これの略ってことでいかがでしょうか。(あくまでも個人的推察です。)

Slender tree with smooth grey bark and graceful branches reaching towards the sky. In May, it produces an abundance of plump white flowers, which cluster together to form clusters the size of an adult palm. The flowers are very small, with five petals and sepals, and the ripe berries turn from green to red as autumn progresses. The rowan nut has a small pentagonal star shape on the opposite side of the base, and the pentagram has been known as a symbol of protection against evil since prehistoric times.
The rowan tree is dedicated to the ancient Britons' goddess Brigantia and the Irish goddess of liberal arts, Brigid who is associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, protection, blacksmithing and domesticated animals. Both Brigid and Brigantia have an aspect as patron goddesses of farmers and their livestock, promising the arrival of spring and a bountiful harvest. Together they are said to keep shooting flaming arrows made of rowan, which follow the sun all year round.
Since they are the goddesses who spin the thread and weave the cloth, it is they who continue to weave the everlasting fabric of life, guide the sun through the stars that occupy positions in the sky and keep the wheels of the seasons turning.
The Celtic festival of Imbolc takes place on 1 February and is dedicated to Brigid. This is because Brigid brings inspiration and visions to us and awakens the spirit of the year from its sleep. Imbolc is also the first 'Seasonal Purification Day' that comes around in the year, and on this day, the witches celebrate the Sabbath.
Rowan was once thought to be protected by this tree, as was the earth energy contained in ley lines (straight lines connecting ancient sacred sites and ruins) and menhirs (standing stones). Druids planted these trees at their ritual sites and used the smoke from burning rowan trees to invoke the spirits of the dead and warriors. The smoke from burning rowan trees was also often used to predict the course of a love affair.
For the Celts, the rowan was a symbol of nature's abode and vigorous life activity. Sacred, yet magically powerful, the rowan tree protects us from temptation and disease and was therefore discouraged from being cut down.

1. The blue that it uses is 碧, which references a more greenish/greyish blue than would be expected from the use of the usual kanji used to refer to the color blue (青)
2. As well as meaning foreigner, 異邦人 is also the title given in Japanese to Camus’ novel The Outsider
3. 酬い can refer to a reward. Given the context of the phrase, I decided to translate it as unrequited, as it is a heart without reward. This word can also be used to refer to karmic debt, which means another literal translation for 酬いの無き心 could be “a heart free of karmic debt/bad karma” (or a “pure” heart)
