It really wasn't an argument, rather just a chat about things you hadn't communicated. You and Carmy really tried to be perfect parents, but that just wasn't possible. Willow had a small habit of sneaking out of her room during naptime, and she overheard you and Carmy having a small disagreement. In her mind, of course, it seemed like you two were unhappy with ach other.

From that point, Willow decides she has to take matters into her own hands while you sit in Aurora's nursery, and Carmen is in the kitchen. She makes her way in, paper and crayons in hand. You smile at her as you sit in the rocking chair with Aurora, whose been fighting naptime for the past half hour, her eyes finally closing. "Hi, Wils. What's up?" You ask softly.

She doesn't answer, instead plopping beside you, beginning to scribble some hearts on the paper. You watch as she does this, her hearts looking more like blobs but at least she's trying her hardest.

She hands it to you. "Dada." She says. You finally catch on, exhaling. "Okay, okay. Let's go give this to dada." You say, as you stand, setting Aurora gently down in the crib before you walk hand-in-hand downstairs with Willow, her handing you the paper.

She points to Carmen, practically motioning for you to give him the paper. You laugh, kissing the top of her head. "Thanks, Wils. Go play, yeah? I'll take it from here." You say. You walk over to Carmen in the kitchen, greeting him with a kiss on the back of his shoulder like you usually do. "Your daughter drew this for me to give you." You set the paper in front of him.

He stares at it, a grin coming across his face. "Think she wants us to tell each other we love the other." You nod. "Something tells me that's what's happening." He turns to you, pressing a kiss against your lips, hands wrapped around your waist. "I love you." He says.

"I love you, too, Carm." You reply before turning to the doorway where Wilow's watching. You grin. "Come here, sweet girl." Carmen requests as she runs at him, jumping into his arm where he scoops her up, as he begins kissing her face, giggles bursting out of her.

You notice the small drawing on the edge of the paper that wasn't clear before. A stick figure of what you assume is you and Carmen, holding hands.

You stare at it until you're being attacked with kisses by Willow and Carmen, her giggles making you smile as she kisses all over your face, with Carmen doing the same thing.

Imagine Lottie is in Kindergarten and she gets expelled because she stood up for a kid who was getting bullied.

She thinks that she did something bad because now her teacher is really mad.

But Sugar and Bucky made her understand how proud they are of her for standing up against bad people and cheer her up and encourage her to do the same always!

I don’t think she would get expelled but maybe suspended just because she has super strength and maybe she pushed the bully a bit too hard. I also think she wouldn’t give two shits that her teacher was mad at her. Activate mini winter soldier with her scowl as she sits in the principal’s office. I think her and Henry would both stand up for the kids that were being bullied no matter what the consequences were.

Arms crossed over her chest. Anger flashing in her eyes. A frown on her lips. Charlotte was angry. She didn't understand why she was in trouble when she was only protecting a classmate from a bully. She was also mad at her teacher who had been mean to her. Then she was sent to the principal's office and Lottie was told that her parents had been called. When Bucky walked in through the door Lottie ran to him.

"Daddy." She got teary eyed the minute he picked her up.

"Mr. and Mrs. Barnes. Thank you for coming in on such short notice." The Principal, Mr. Giles, stands to greet you. "Charlotte please wait outside."

You had been standing next to Bucky trying to make sure Lottie was ok and you turned to glare at him.

"We need a minute to make sure our daughter is ok."

"Well, it's very important that we-"

"It's important for us to speak to our daughter and make sure she's ok first. Where can we speak privately?" Bucky says, leaving no space for discussions.

"I will give you a few minutes Mr. Barnes."

Mr. Giles walks out and closes the door behind him. Lottie reaches for you and you happily take her and give her a reassuring hug. You take a seat and settle Lott down.

"Am in trouble?" Lottie looked from you to Bucky with a sad look on her face.

"Tell us what happened. Why did you push that boy?"

"He's a bully. He was being mean to Gracie." She explains.

"Ok but did you follow our rules?"

"I did mama, I pwomise." She sniffles. "I tell him to stop. Then I tell the teacher. But he push-ed Gracie an Gracie is sick she can't be push-ed. Am in twouble now?"

Bucky reaches out and wipes away a stray tear. "No doll, you did the right thing. But now we have to talk with your principal."

"Kay."

Lottie hops off your lap and together the three of you walk out to the hallway. There you see Gracie, who Lottie defended. She looked exhausted, her hair was thinning and she wore a face mask. Immediately you got even more angry at the situation. This little girl was being bullied and instead of the teacher protecting her, the bully gets protected. The boy you assumed was the bully, Connor, was also their with his parents.

"This way please. My secretary will stay with the children."

It took half an hour and Bucky holding you back from launching yourself at the bully's mom. She had the nerve to call Lottie a freak. In the end both Lottie and the bully were suspended. The bully's mom didn't want to have her son apologize because in her words he did nothing wrong. You saw Gracie's mom deflate and the lack of empathy. She quickly got up and left to find her daughter. You were right behind her only to find Lottie and Connor arguing again. The secretary was trying to separate them.

"Mrs. Barnes will you please take Charlotte?" The secretary pleaded.

"Come here sweet angel. What happened?"

"He's being mean again." Charlotte glared at the little boy.

Connor's mom walked out of the conference room next and grabbed her son to leave. Everyone else walked out into the hallway with Bucky being last. The principal didn't bother to see what happened now and headed back to his office. Even though Gracie was silently crying. When it was just you, Bucky, Lottie, Gracie and her mom you spoke up.

"I'm so sorry this happened." You say.

"It's not your fault. I just hate that Gracie has suffered so much. As if being sick isn't enough, now she is being picked on and she had no friends." She was on the verge of tears. Before you can even reach out to her Lottie is tugging on her pants.

"That's not true. I'm Gracie's friend. And I won't let anyone be mean to her, I promise."

That does make Gracie's mom tear up and smile.

"Mama can Gracie come over and have a tea party?" Lottie looks at you with hopeful eyes.

"Only if it's ok with her mom, sweet angel."

Lottie turns back to Gracie's mom who can only nod in agreement before Lottie runs back to her new friend.

"You'll meet everyone, it's gonna be so fun."

Gracie's tears are long gone while Lottie tells her everything they can do when she comes over. She talks about Henry, Peanut, Alpine and her dear Steebie. You exchange numbers with Gracie's mom and plan a playdate soon before you head your separate ways.

"I'm very proud of you, doll. You did so good standing up for someone that needed help." Bucky says as he buckles her into her booster seat.

"I do the right thing."

"That's right. You're a mini Avenger."

Buck is not dumb. He's not stupid. He's not oblivious.

Against popular belief, Buck knows that what Eddie and he have is not just friendship— he knows the way Eddie looks at him is not platonic.

He knows what Eddie's feelings are.

Buck knows they both have been dancing around this for a long time, too scared to make the first move, take the first step.

And he thinks he knows why Eddie hasn't done or said anything yet— he thinks he might, at least.

And Buck, well, he knows why himself hasn't done anything.

He doesn't understand what Eddie sees in him. He doesn't understand the way Eddie loves him.

Buck thinks relationships and love are meant to be fast paced; a wildfire that grows and burns until there's nothing but ashes. That’s what he’s had all his life. The rush. The adrenaline. The fire that burns him from inside out and consumes him until he can't breathe. The fast paced emotions and desires that burn hot and then burn out like what he does everyday at work. Something that’s meant to be short-lived with a flash of ecstasy. Something that gives him a thrill but then leaves him alone, feeling empty and hollow and used.

Buck is not used to the kind of love Eddie seems to give him sl freely, so naturally— as if Buck deserved it.

He doesn't.

Buck is hard to love— he's too loud sometimes, he can't shut the fuck up. He's selfish and annoying and—

People leave.

People always leave him.

So Buck is not used to that soft, tender kind of love that Eddie offers without even thinking about it. He's not used to being trusted so fully with the most precious of things (like Eddie's heart), he's not used to knowing looks and fond smiles that are reserved only for him. He's not used to the domesticity of hanging in the kitchen, cooking a meal for his family and laughing at stupid inside jokes while Chris does his homework and roasts them at the same time.

He's not used to late night talks with beers in their hands and longing in their eyes.

Buck doesn't think he'll ever fully get used to any of that— to something so precious and amazing.

He can barely believe he gets to have it on the best of days.

So asking for more? Reaching out and taking more?

That's just unimaginable.

But then it's one of those nights.

Christopher is asleep and they're in the kitchen. Buck has a cold beer in his hand, the droplets of condensation sliding down the bottle and into the back of his hand.

And Eddie is looking at him, just a few steps away and leaning against the kitchen counter. The light above them casts a golden orange glow that softens his features and Buck thinks he could look at him forever and never get tired.

He thinks Eddie is the most beautiful sight his eyes have ever seen (and he's seen a lot, alright. He's been through Peru and Argentina and Brazil, Chicago and San Francisco. He's been to Montana and he even briefly made a stop in Colorado. Yet— None of the most beautiful of spots in those places could ever compare to Eddie. To what Eddie makes him feel.)

Eddie is looking at him and Buck's heart clenches in his chest, because he knows he doesn't deserve that look.

He's hard to love on the best of days, a mess and someone not enough to stay for on the worst.

Somehow, Eddie doesn't seem to care about that. He loves Buck anyway.

And Buck doesn't, can't, won't—

He doesn't want Eddie to get caught up in the fire that is his life. He doesn't want Eddie to burn until he's nothing but ashes in Buck's hands.

But Eddie keeps looking at him and then he's stepping closer and closer until Buck can see every freckle in his nose and that beauty mark under his eye. He can see the honey gold sprinkles on Eddie's eyes, surrounded by the warmest of browns.

And he can see when those eyes flutter down to Buck's lips, his gaze feeling heavy and intense on them.

“It's getting late. I should—” Buck starts, trailing off when Eddie takes Buck's beer and leaves him on the counter before stepping closer until he's pinning Buck against the counter.

It digs uncomfortably against his lower back and his eyes go wide.

“Eddie,” Buck says, his breath catching on the word.

"Tell me I'm not reading this wrong, Buck." Eddie pleads. "Tell me— Tell me I'm not the only one feeling this." He whispers and his voice is low, quiet, but so full of hope and love and patience.

Buck doesn't deserve that.

"I'm— I don't—" He stutters and he can't help it when his eyes dart down to where Eddie is licking his lips.

So tempting. So inviting.

"Eddie, I'm scared."

Eddie's eyes are wide and open, vulnerable, as he searches for something in Buck's face. It reminds him of the look he gave him after the tsunami, or when he reveleaved that Buck was part of the will.

This time, he must find what he's looking for because he doesn't say anything else. Eddie just leans in, slowly, slow enough that Buck can still stop him if he wants to.

And he should, before they both get burned. Before Buck ruins them.

He doesn't.

From the first touch, it’s like kissing Buck is what Eddie was put on this planet to do. It's soft and exploring, it makes this fuzzy sirupy feeling pool inside his stomach.

And it's— warm, tender. A slow kind of fire spreading through his veins. Not burning or turning everything to ashes, but igniting a spark that Buck thought long gone.

Buck still doesn't get it. But he thinks he might not need to.

He has time to figure it out anyway.

He thinks he might have forever, by the way Eddie's kissing him so delicately but yet hungry like he wants to devour him.

Buck is alright with that.

Well, you just persist. It really will feel weird or even fake at times when you persist. But learn to feel comfortable in this new assumption. Techniques and subliminals are just tools, you don't need them. You can use them but you'll do just fine without them. It's like peeling a potato. You can use a potato peeler but you'll do just fine with a knife. (Does that make sense?)

Sooo here’s a small request: I’ve been thinking about an established relationship and the reader getting pregnant. But I want to see how the reader and Carmy are finding out together, maybe the reader feeling sick for a week and then she finds out her period is late and they will talk together about it and doing that test together

carm knew all week that you'd been sick. he tried making things or getting you foods that could help (rice, sweet potatoes, bananas, mashed potatoes, etc) but nothing seemed to really work. you and him had just summed it up to a stomach bug. they were common this time of the year, and while it was unfortunate, you didnt think much of it

until..

your period was late. you were rarely late, and even if you were that could be summed up to stress. now you were almost a week late, and it wasn't as if you and carm hadn't done some things while living together.

you waited until carmen came home to talk to him about it. his first question: "are we happy about this?" he'd tell you whatever you wanted to do, he'd support it. but he said it'd be smart to get a pregnancy test first.

he waits outside of the bathroom door as you take it, and then comes in to wait with you. hugging you, telling you whatever the results said, he's by your side.

AND THEN THEY ARE POSITIVE AND HE IS A WRECK. like he was still being strong for you but even then! he's so nervous about being a dad. but he's the kind of husband / boyfriend to take care of everything. vitamins, appointments in case you forget, making sure the nursery is set up. and obviously his chef experience comes in, he's got your cravings down like he's making them whenever <3

Tbh, you couldn’t have picked a better time to ask since I’m actually unwinding rn, so I’ll just picture him here with me hehe. How I unwind really depends on my mood, but my favourite and simplest way is literally just laying down. So, I imagine myself sprawled out on the bed like a starfish while Lucifer is nearby, pouring himself a glass of wine while wearing his peepaw robe. He’d offer me one too, and most of the time, I’d say yes! If not, I normally ask for tea ><

I can picture him moving around the room, doing a million little things while I stay in one spot. He’d turn on the gramophone, sit next to me, admire his art decor, sit back next to me, then get up again to refill his glass. It’s like he has ants in his pants. Meanwhile, I’d be the one doing all the talking, especially if work’s been a nightmare. Eventually, he’d start talking too, and before we know it, it’d turn into this long talkfest, with time just slipping away. Suddenly, it’s already time for bed!

I’d probably complain about being too lazy to get up and take off my makeup, and he’d sigh, cross his arms, but then entice me by saying we could shower / do our nightly skin routine together. And paint me the silliest girl in the world bc it works every time 🤡.

Now, I know this man does NOT get into bed until the exact moment he’s ready to rest, so on quieter days when I don’t feel like talking, we’d just read together. We’d start at opposite ends of the couch, but little by little, we’d end up scooting closer until the books are forgotten, and we’re just cuddling instead. Honestly, those nights are the best :( Lucifer genuinely gets pissy if something inconveniences him while we’re meant to have some down time together.

Not to be naughty but we unwind by doing other things too but hurhurhurhurhur I’ll leave that up to your imagination >:)

Lottie would decide one day that she will follow Fury around just for fun. At the beginning of the day Fury does his best to not curse in front of her but at some point some dumb agent makes a really stupid mistake and he just says it. It just slips out.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Yeah, the fuck is wong with you?" Lottie is looking up at the agent, hands on her hip and a scowl on her face.

Fury sighs and dismisses the agent.

"You can't say that word."

"Is kay. I says bitch." Lottie shrugs and goes to sit at her self appointed desk which was really just the coffee table in his office. Fury shakes his head and goes to his own desk to get more work done.

The conversation you and Bucky were having stops immediately. Both of you make your way to the living room where Lottie had spilled some water on herself and the floor. She looks up as you both walk in and gives you a sheepish smile in hopes of not getting in trouble for the mess.

"What did you say, doll?"

"I says 'oh fuck.'"

"Where did you learn that?" You struggle to not laugh.

"Fuw-e says it too. An says muthafucka a wot."

Bucky takes a deep calming breath and lets his shoulders slump. This wouldn't be the first or last conversation he would have to have with Charlotte about her potty mouth. Two things will always stand true with Charlotte, she's sweet as can be and she curses like a sailor.

Do you think Miranda would ever kill any of the other LI? Like, if she knew she was going to have to reset the loop anyway, would she or do the loops not work like that? Like, if a main character or OC dies in the time loop and it resets, are you alive again or not?

Everyone resets lol, and she totally would kill LI, but she has to be driven to the edge of rage because the universe with dead LI would warp (silly!) until she reset it. Everyone is technically killable and will become alive again if it's reset to a time where they were alive, but there are some slip ups and oopsie daisies and whatnot where memories get a little...fried, scrambled, over easy if you will. People come back...wrong. People become someone else and Freaky Friday their way through it. And God forbid she doesn't reset after killing an LI...God imagine the plot

buck and maddie have a small tattoo on their pinky promise finger and it's a d in each other's handwriting to have daniel always be with them.

when buck gets reallyyy drunk, he gets this awful and hilarious british accent that everyone finds ridiculous. (except eddie, eddie finds it incredibly hot but only bc he's pathetically in love with buck and it's embarrassing honestly)

hen, chimney, buck and eddie have a movie night all together once a month. buck and eddie usually fall asleep and hen and chim take pics of them, tease them and every now and then play a prank on two.

buck is actually friends with eddie's sisters. it started at his firefighter ceremony where they met and then they made a group chat with him to keep in touch. sometimes eddie struggles with texting and keeping his sisters updated so buck always sends pics of eddie cooking or at the firehouse or with chris at the beach or on their weekly movie nights. sophia and adriana also tease him endlessly about eddie (bc they know how their brother really feels for buck) but buck just takes it as a joke.

eddie and hen are the most nosy ppl in the station. they're always gossiping while stocking the ambulance and they know everything and anything about everyone.

buck goes to pts meetings when eddie can't make it and half the moms thinks they're married, the other half think they're divorced and a small amount want to jump his bones either way.

eddie steals buck's clothes. it started probably after the well incident— buck lent him his hoodie on the way home bc eddie could not stop shaking and he wanted to keep him warm. and then... eddie just forgot to give it back (on purpose but shhh) and every chance he gets he takes one of buck's tshirts or hoodies. they're just softer than his and they smell nice and no one has to know, okay?
