your reaper headcanons 🤲 hand them over please
but if reapers are meant to be neutral, it makes the idea of romancing thirteen as a mortal so sad, to me at least 😭 either she comes to collect your soul, and ig she keeps it close to her to remember and admire
but imagine if like this is a first time circumstance where a reaper has a bias towards a human, and because she's not technically neutral to mc since they have a connection, so they don't allow her to collect mc's soul (maybe in fear of her trying to interfere?)
I don't know what's worse, her never getting to say a proper goodbye because she wasn't allowed to do it herself (and the question of whether or not she'd have the knowledge of when mc will die (there are the life candles so maybe...)).
Or having to collect the soul of the person you love and knowing you'll never see them again. And the possible stalling but you can't change fate, you can't make an exception. And spending the last day together, and mc turning to thirteen with a soft but sad smile and just saying "I'm ready."
help I made myself sad AKDKWJF. My fave characters are always the one's who get hit with the angst beam (sorry Mammon and Solomon)
OH AND I WONDER HOW REAPERS GET LIFE CANDLES DISTRIBUTED. Because she watches over a lot and the cave is big, but there's TONS of people and we saw the demon brothers also had candles, so that adds even MORE candles. I HAVE TOO MANY IDEAS I NEED TO CHILL
ANYWAY the manga makes me very happy and barnes and noble is having a bogo 50% off sale for manga specifically, so you could pick up the first two volumes. There's a lot of Mammon ass shots. And plot. I'm totally reading for the plot...
- ✨ anon
Oh oh oh now you're making me wanna write some sweet & sad Thirteen fics...
So okay, here are my personal headcanons about reapers. This is stuff that I developed because I needed to for my OC story lol.
I think of the reapers as being neutral. They don't belong to any of the three worlds because they exist in all of them.
The fact is there are like 8 billion people living on earth. That means there has to be a lot of reapers just to cover humans alone. Not only are there a ton of them, but their lifespans are short compared to demons and angels. So necessarily, I think most reapers live in the human world.
However, death comes for all and has no affiliation to any world.
Demons obviously have candles, as evidenced by the time OG when the bros went looking for Beel's. So it makes sense to me that angels would have candles, too.
The candles manifest the moment the soul it's attached to comes into being. They simply materialize out of the air into the reaper's cave. As long as that candle is lit, that being is alive.
Human candles don't go out until the entire candle has burned down and this can certainly happy quite quickly. They vary more dramatically in size.
Angel and demon candles are all basically like big ole pillar candles that never seem to actually melt at all. They are eternally burning. However, angels and demons can die, so when this happens their flames just go out like someone snuffed the candle at which point the rest of the candle turns to ash or dust.
The Devildom and the Celestial Realm have a much smaller population than earth does. So Thirteen is the only reaper in the Devildom. All of the demon candles are in her cave. I think of it as her jurisdiction. Candles move realms if the person they're attached to does, too. MC can move between the realms by the end of the OG, but due to their strong affiliation with the Devildom, I think their candle moved to Thirteen's cave some point in the first season of OG. Basically, I think the candle manifests in whatever realm the person thinks of as "home" and certainly MC feels the brothers are like their family.
Similarly, I think there is one reaper whose jurisdiction is the Celestial Realm. They keep track of all the angel's candles.
And due to the amount of humans that exist, there are untold amounts of reapers working in the human world.
I like to think that reapers can kind of make pocket dimensions to house themselves and their candles when necessary. So there would be actual caves where reapers have made their homes (with magic to keep curious humans out), but if they have to create extra space they just create a door that acts as a portal between their cave and the human world.
There is a lot of paperwork involved with the creation of candles and the collection of souls. Because what happens with those souls once they're collected?
Personally I think you could say all kinds of things are possible. I never really bothered to figure that part out because the game doesn't specify and I'm cool with it being unknown.
I like to think that Thirteen could choose to keep MC's soul if she wanted to, she would just need to file the correct paperwork for it.
All of this is how it works in my personal au that I developed for Arrie's story, but it's kind of how I think about all of it now.
I have Azrael as the head of the reapers, but he's an angel still. However, he's become more neutral toward the realms as he's had to step into the role of reaper boss.
It's this idea that any being from any of the realms could die that makes me think they have to be neutral. Especially if the realms are at war with each other. I mean, when the Devildom and the CR were at war, reapers would have had to collect souls from both sides.
Anyway, this is all just my personal thoughts on it lol.
I like the idea that Thirteen would be the one to collect MC's soul. It would be hard, but you know she wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. Plus, MC is hers. And if they were dating, I think MC would give Thirteen permission to keep their soul for as long she wants.
Wouldn't it be a comfort to know the reaper that's collecting your soul loves you? When the last thing you see is her eyes shining with tears? The last thing you hear is your name on her lips?
In my personal au, reapers can't die. But what if they can choose to die?
What if Thirteen doesn't collect MC's soul because she gives up her own life at the same time? Maybe their souls can merge and instead of being collected at all, they simply vanish or scatter into stardust, forever entwined.
Oops now I'm sad too.
Anyway, I clearly have zero chill about any of this, so I say embrace your ideas! Let them go crazy, why not!
As for the manga, I'm probably gonna order it online. I don't have a Barnes & Noble in my town, so if I want to go there, I gotta go to a different town. And I'm just too lazy lol. But now I want to read it, only for the Mammon ass shots. I mean plot is cool too I guess.

I've introduced a load of ppl to our local library app and a lot of them are like oh OK yeah it's alright (our app is def not on the level of the ones I see ppl talking about in America. Prob cause less ppl? It's just books and magazines and a lot of books aren't on there. It doesn't work if there's a book you want to read as it likely isn't on there, you have to be willing to read whatever they've got their hands on lol.) But my nan has gotten really in to it, more so than I have (and I'm the one helping near strangers at community meetings get in to it despite having no affiliation with the library and that not being what the meeting is for. I just love helping ppl access knowledge and fun books for free ok. I'm a big advocate of this app.) Which is largely cause she's always been a big reader but is now losing her sight and can't read physical books anymore, so the free audiobooks really won her over, even if she hates tech.
Anyway this has led to me having to spend a very long time explaining algorithms to her today cause like, she's recently been having a problem where she can only find young adult books and they aren't really her vibe, so I'm like ok what do you do when it recommends these books? Maybe you should try leaving reviews for the books you are reading, so it knows you like adult books and she was like, I haven't been reading any adult books. It recommends me books about teenagers so I've been reading books about teenagers, it's getting rather tiring can you get it to recommend me anything else. And I'm like, well. No, not if you keep accepting its recommendations? (There's no option to tell this app what you like lol it just recommends you stuff based on what you've been reading) and I'm like having to explain to her (person who willfully hates all technology) that the recommendations are based on an algorithm and by continuing to listen to young adult books, she's driving it to continue recommending them to her.
I've told her before that she doesn't need to pick the books right at the top and she can scroll down to see other options of genre and stuff (and I've shown her.) She hates tech but she is fairly good at navigating stuff when she isn't thinking about it. She just feels that admitting she can do this stuff is giving in to big tech, who are the reason everywhere is understaffed and also nothing works and so as soon as she realises she understands, she'll just refuse to keep going. She's on social media and stuff. She's fully capable of navigating this app lol she's just apparently chosen not to and has spent over a year reading whatever it recommends her and hating half of it.
Anyway I really felt like I was getting nowhere during this lengthy conversation, but!!! She just messaged me like, I started a new book and it's an adult book! Not a children's one! She's really pleased to have found some reading material she actually likes and honestly I'm very happy for her. Clearly that very long and frustrating conversation was worth it

As requested, line by line breakdown of testoster2's anti communist rant about parties.
> idk which baby leftist needs to hear this
off to a great condescending start from someone whose only left credit is claiming to be on the left on their Tumblr
> but joining a socialist party will be a waste of your time.
I couldn't imagine a more cop opinion to start us off with. i see things like this and i think: whose interests does this serve? "oh no baby leftists, don't join a party" just brings to mind this image
Tumblr media
> you'll probably have to pay a monthly due
that's true. every communist party in history has taken dues from members. it's typically scaled to what you can manage though and it's part of the collective effort of the party organization to make social change. my dues sent comrades to Venezuela and Cuba to learn from socialists there, they produced our programs for free lunches, it built our community centers. i have no regrets about paying my dues, i pay dues to my union as well.
> that goes to like. flyers no one reads
projection. sounds now like op is defending their own lack of action with a lack of belief in the possibility of change. in my experience people do read things and even change their minds after reading things. if people were not able to be affected by the written word then propagandists on all sides would be in a tough situation.
> that you yourself will have to give to people
oh no, you mean joining a party means you might have to do outreach and talk to people? can see why it's not for op, then.
> (this in case the money doesn't go straight in the party leader's pocket).
op has never seen this but says it like it's a fact. it would be pretty easy to find out if your party leadership is embezzling and your party should be structured in a way that you know they'd be thrown out if they betrayed everyone like this. i have that confidence in my party, at least.
this is also very reminiscent about how anti communists engage with propaganda. they feel comfortable making claims of any kind whether supported or not. anyway, this is another obvious cop opinion.
> you'll waste time writing papers and reports and shit, it'll feel like having a second job.
not explained is why writing is a waste of time. i think writing for a party is almost always a useful activity, whether you're making plans for a new action or campaign or producing new agitational materials or analysing the results of previous work so you can improve on it.
it is a job, though. being a communist does mean doing work, society won't change by sitting at home and attacking communist parties on Tumblr. the lifelong sacrifices made by hard working communists are why we have seen so many socialist victories in the last century.
> the most exciting events will be lib shit like elections
this again can only be projection. the most exciting times for me have been in some of the countries largest protest actions, organizing campaigns to free political prisoners, providing at risk communities with basic needs and engaging with them, building new unions, etc. etc
> or peaceful protests that the party would still organize w/o you as a member
here's the key issue with op i think. they want to be vital to the revolution. they don't want to think that they're only one of many people all working together. yes it's true the party will continue without you, especially a wannabe cop like you. but it doesn't mean party work is useless, it just means you are useless as an individual.
> (showing up at a protest w/o having a party affiliation gives you more freedom
freedom to do what, i do wonder? being afraid of party work bc it doesn't let you do whatever you want is kinda silly, if you don't want anyone to ever tell you what to do then yeah don't join a party. if you want to make change in the world then do.
> + makes you a bit less arrestable - as opposed to if a cop saw you carrying a name tag w the hammer and sickle on it. just fyi)
this again appears to have been just made up by op. I've never been arrested for wearing a pin or a party tshirt. i don't know a single person who has. and I've known plenty of people without any markings get arrested.
> all this w/o even mentioning how (depending on your luck) there could be a lot of infighting, splits, sometimes purges
well yes it sounds like there would be a lot of drama wherever op goes but it doesn't seem to be the case generally. my party did form in a split, but over 15 years ago. i don't see any reason to worry that it would happen again any time soon. we don't infight at all, sorta the concept of the party is people who want to work effectively together.
another bit of funny evidence that op is anti communist is the inclusion of the word purges, lol. purge means expulsion from party, ooh very sinister.
> all in all, joining a socialist party is a very, Very ineffective way of building communism lmao
well first it's simply a truth that no socialist country was ever built without a communist party. not one.
but also, did any of ops points have anything to do with effectiveness? all i gathered is they're pushing an individualistic, don't tell me what to do outlook. and the condescension about protests and flyering suggest they want something more adventurist, possibly involving violence. remember the fbi and police always instigate when they infiltrate groups. they always push for criminal actions and violence.
> i'd instead recommend you talk to your neighbours abt their lives, and see how you can help each other.
hey, guess what a party does! do you think our new tenants unions and unemployed councils could come into being without talking to neighbors? do you think our new unions could come into being without discussing the way we could help each other?
> if you live in like a very rich neighbourhood or something, instead of joining a socialist party
well isn't this an interesting premise. i wonder what it says about op that they want to emphasize what the well off should do.
> it'd be way more effective if you joined a liberal/conservative party and then fucked their shit up as much as possible
sure, just see every other attempt in history at wrecking or entryism with the Democratic party. i encourage you to look into it
> if ur only goal is meeting other leftists, only go to the first 2 or 3 party meetings, by then you'll know the scene and you'd have already befriended the interesting people. that;s my advice at least
this piece of advice is generally good. in fact before applying to join any party if at all possible i encourage you to meet with the members local to you, see how they work, see what you think of their ideas and what they're doing. if they're not active in your community, ask why not. there's nothing requiring you to join if it isn't for you. but if you want to make change in this country, learning how to do it from those with experience is best. and working together in an organization that can effectively chart a path forward is the only option there is. every communist revolution was built with the leadership of the communist party.

My question is regarding styling for promotional work in the US - I see so many female stars who are in a different outfit, with full hair and makeup, for their interviews, sometimes with multiple changes per day. And then, there is their male costar slouching along in jeans and a rumpled shirt for a whole days worth of appearances. Is there a contractual requirement placed on female stars or is this just an industry norm? Thank you in advance for any insight you can offer!
Ah, look at you go Greyface! Taking a real stab right into the black heart of the style industry. How bold and perceptive of you! 🤭
The simple and direct answer is, this is a double standard.
The more complex path that still leads to same resulting answer is very worth traversing though and is filled with the peaks and plummets of the fashion industry's history. So, naturally, we'll walk this way together and take a look.
Buckle up, rack mates, this ride is a doozy.
The following is my insight and perception as a professional stylist and is subjective to my position and role.
It is a well and widely known fact of fashion and beauty that at the heart of all the glitz and glamorous there is a horrible ugliness beneath. It is treated as an unseen slight or even a "secret" we shouldn't talk much about. It is as old as fashion itself and has only been worsened over time and with the evolution of marketable style and beauty standards. Women are more promotional than men = women are more desirous than men = women are the pitch and men plunder fame by proxy.
Sex sells. Point of fact; type face bold print. This is the truth of fashion and entertainment and is a marketing strategy at this point.
Specifically, however, it isn't that "sex" sells but rather which sex sells. As in which gender is the apparent and clear choice to use as a promotional feature and living advertisement. The answer is, as it has been for ages now, women. Feminine features are fair and pleasing to behold. They can be dressed up and toned down; styled into an ideal of wanting and craving. Women can be influential to both male and female audiences by beckoning men's gazes to the treats she has for them (treats being whatever it is she is being used to stage and sell) while sitting loftily as an iconic standard of beauty for women to reach for and in turn take up anything to help achieve this ideal (meaning they'll buy whatever is being promoted in their wish to be like the woman on the package).
This strategy and double standard extends well beyond the immediate scope of fashion or upselling the brands of luxury labels. It is also very present in the entertainment industry as a means to promote films, television, and other media. You'll see an actress working the promo circuit or doing interviews dressed to the nines even in casual and laid back styles and then you'll blink and she's done up entirely different but no less coifed and glamorous. Meanwhile her male counterparts and costars are parading about in very understated styles or even sloppy attire, sometimes dressed out in high quality suits but still not quite up to snuff. The efforts of stylists clearly more aimed towards maintaining the woman first and the man second, if at all.
The second and less often discussed pigeon hole that fuels this sexist standard is money. Femme fashion, while typically more expensive, is still unquestionably more versatile than menswear. This is because fashion profits more off female consumption and interest than male and thus caters to that market with more variety and visibility. Wardrobe budgets for filming are skewed with more money funneled into the styling of an actress or female celebrity with a limit on how much is spent on the men. This is symbiotic with the pricing of menswear being less than womenswear but altogether more durable in its make.
It's frustrating and awful and I am ever so glad and thankful that it is slowly having attention called upon it by those within the industry. As modern style continues to evolve and dilute the boundaries between gender stereotypes and typecasting, this double standard becomes more and more frail. Many voices have started gathering in outrage over such rampant and asinine misogyny. Men have come forward to demand that they are as equally marketable and appealing, women have put their foot down and refused to be sexualized or sensationalized. There is the rising trend of androgyny and transgender recognition. Each step is in the right direction and in pursuit of an equal playing ground where women and men can each be glammed up and used as a standard for beauty or poised as a pinnacle of style.
I work extensively with male clients to this effect. I not only enjoy gender neutral styles but have clients that have made it clear they like the glamor of femme styles and want their image to be a balance of masculine and feminine. My oldest client wears heels and likes glittering eye makeup and has often made a case to be allowed to wear skirts or dresses, while my only female artist prefers more of an asymmetrical blending of menswear with feminine accents and likes her footwear to be the type that she, in her words, "can kick ass and stay looking class" while wearing.
There's an uptick in the emergence of queer brands and LGBTQ+ labels in the US with ideals/ethics steeped in the goal of gender neutrality and equality. With them comes the new hope for fashion's future where gender lines are not drawn and women are not the golden rule of promotional value for their supposed sexy/cute/inviting stereotype.
I hope to see men as a campaign centerpiece for lingerie, make up, and other needlessly gendered interests and women in ads for suits and leisure activities such as fishing or mudding and the other inherently male coded interests. I hope to see all gender typecasts and molds fall away entirely with people simply promoting things they enjoy. To see a full cast given the same amount of primping and stylized effort when making the rounds to talk up their projects.
Progress is slow but the world of fashion hinges upon welcoming change and being influenced by current climates and trends just as much as it influences outwardly. One of these days this double standard will be stripped out and the industry will again be revolutionized or it will become obsolete.
Beauty is beauty; people are people; style is style. Promotional/marketable viability cannot stay relevant against the might of such simple truths. The coming years will see the divide between gender being filled as designers and labels fight to remain prominent empires of fashion, and from there other interrelated industries will have no choice by to comply lest they find themselves stripped bare ass naked and lacking affiliations.
This post went and became a sort of tangent, whoops. I'll rest my rambling here and call it good. I intend to make a full post detailing the reshaping of fashion in the height of today's evolving inclusivity of gender roles and norms and the correlation of how fashion has long since been steps ahead in this movement. This ask happens to be a good sounding place for what some of that content will look like.
Fashion and style was never intended to give distinction between the masculine and feminine nor to place significance on gender. Segregation in fashion was initially between wealth and status; a determination of class in way way back when clothing first became an expression. Originally, fashion had no actual gender associations and men and women all worse similar styles of robes that would now be considered dresses. Class and wealth gave way, buckling to the thought of using one's showy status to promote goods to be traded and this was the birth of marketing women as a means of interest. Ever since it has been an internal struggle between ethics of material misuse of rights (sexism) versus capital relevancy (turning profits via brand visibility). A number of fashion houses are guilty of going with the flow and hoping the fortune and reputation made along the way could either cushion the blowback of systemic misogyny one day being aired out or could be used to steadily alter the trajectory of style's evolution.
Consider fashion as a tightrope act being performed between the politics of brand recognition and the conceptual idealism of expression. One small and out of sync step will result in a dire fall with no way of knowing if there is a safety net to pardon a brand or label from plunging into obscurity. This is why the fashion industry prefers taking time to plan careful steps forward and seldom rushes out. Fashion keeps pace while also staying baby steps ahead to change the course of current societal trends, even willing to sometimes relinquish any ground it has in effort to remain on the wire at all. It's a precarious give and take.
Three paragraphs later, truly, I yield to the length of this post and am done. I can’t guarantee this was even close to what you wanted to know and for that I am sorry. I get swept up by the passion I have for the inner workings of the business and lose myself (and my train of thought so if this doesn’t make a lick of sense, that would be why lol). Still, I do hope some of this sheds a little light on the matter.

What would you like to see in a theoretical future Gundam series? What kind of genre, themes, concepts, ect. would you want to see explored through Gundam's visual lexicon? And are there any artists, writers, or directors you would want to see attached?
first and foremost: I’m so sorry for replying to this so late! I haven’t checked my inbox in quite a while it seems. 😅
Alright; so something I’ve always wanted to see in a Gundam series is a dedicated strong female lead character. Not some side chick, or love interest trope, but instead a straight up bad ass femme fatale ace pilot. I feel like that alone would be the best way to shake things up for the Mecha genre itself, as opposed to your typical teen adolescent boy saving the world with a machine that some how ended up in their hands.
That said; everything I’m about to say is probably going to sound very similar to Ghost in the Shell, because I’d really like to see Gundam give that futuristic “cyberpunk/tech noir” genre a shot.
I actually had the idea to write a short story based on this concept a few years back, but I’m a horrible writer, and tend put projects on the back burner until long forgotten about. So it never came to be. I’m am very glad you asked this though, as it sort of gives me a way to answer your question/s, as well as get this story out there.
The story I had in mind revolved around the idea of a mental neural interface, where the Mobile Suits would have to be physically linked to the human brain via a connection much like what you’d see in the matrix. The version of “Gundam” that would exist in this story would have a *drum roll* ....NEWTYPE of mental interface giving the pilot an extra advantage for what would go on to be the plot for the rest of the series. Combat would still consist of Mecha and humans shooting each other with live ammunition, but with net warfare thrown in. Imagine sending a virus, or malware, to literally eat away at your enemy, or even zombie them. You think you’re destroying the opposing force, but it was actually your own squad, etc.
With Political agendas being a core element in most of Gundam lore, it would be a great way to introduce how media and cyber warfare can also greatly affect/sway people’s actions. With everyone connected to this particular worlds net of information, it’s up to individuals to sift through what’s manufactured and what’s true based on their own beliefs. The factions that would control the net infrastructure would be big name corporations, military organizations, rebels, and even rampant AI programs.
Now the reason why the Net that exists in my idea of this Gundam universe plays a crucial role, is because humans can no longer survive outside of their “colonies” for an extended period of time(without the aid of their mobile suit) due to a pandemic virus that slowly eats away at organic material. Therefore forcing an artificial way of life and how people interact with each other, which can also be capitalized on by big name corps since it’s so heavily relied upon and controlled. So most groups of people tend to stay with their affiliates in order to survive, regardless of how ignorant they may become to the rest of humanity.
I’m not quite sure who I would want on board as writers, but I feel it would do better with several in order to keep it unbiased. I’d also like it to be non-linear in a sense, a la Cowboy Bebop. Where there is a narrative, but you don’t necessarily have to watch the series in a specific order because I feel like it would be better at world building than strictly keeping a key cast of characters in the spot light at all times. That way it would insure that Gundam keeps that grey area between factions it’s so well known for.
If I had to choose an artist, it would be Toshiro Kawamoto hands down. I love his work, and would love it even more to see him work on a Gundam series again.
I’m not quite what composer/s I would like to have on board for something like this, as my taste in music usually just consists of whatever gets my head bobbing. Lol
Now, I know this all may not exactly answer your question, but it’s definitely along the lines of something I would like to see. It would be such a dramatic change for what’s generally expected from Gundam.

Snapshot Aesthetics
OKAY BUT FG WEEKEND? WHO’S CRAZY IDEA WAS THAT.
You better know I want to participate though xD I didn’t plan to have an entry for today but, well, things change lol
Day 1: Outfits
Rating: K
Words: 2.2k
Summary: Clover's job was simple: Get the model to pose properly, smile, and take the shot. But the new hire, Qrow, was about to throw a wrench into that simplicity... in more ways than one. [Fashion Model AU]
Ao3 Link: Snapshot Aesthetics
~
Snap!
The sound of his camera shutter going off was almost inaudible under the early morning hustle that had overtaken the studio. Clover inspected the shot of Elm displaying back on his LCD screen. He shook his head, calling to the stagehand, “Lower the forelights! There’s too much washout!”
“You got it boss.” She saluted, stepping off the scene to go tinker with the fluorescents.
Th telltale sound of stilettos had his head turning, seeing Willow striding over, lips pursed with annoyance. “Are we ready yet?”
“Almost.” He assured, showing her the picture. “Just a bit more tweaking on the lights and we’ll be good to go.”
She placed a hand on her hip, scanning the team critically. “Good.”
“Everything alright? You look…” He mulled over all his safe adjective options, “Unhappy.”
She sighed exasperatedly. “Qrow is causing a bit of a ruckus back in dress. Won’t let Kali even do his makeup.” She pinched the bridge of her nose. “I don’t know what I was thinking, listening to Taiyang.”
“It’s probably because the new guy’s pretty.” And related to Raven, he thought but didn’t dare utter the runway model’s name aloud. If he did, then it would make his manager think of her ex-husband and Raven’s agent, Jacques Schnee. That was a nasty pandora’s box he’d rather keep closed.
Nevertheless, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time she hired someone simply based on an affiliation they had to someone in Jacques’ team, thinking it as some retroactive way of getting back at him. Taiyang himself was one such decision, also ironically due his connection with Raven. Though, he’d heard the two’s relationship had been more… carnal in nature.
The plus was, Taiyang had worked out great. He was handsome and jovial and easy to direct on set. Clover’s only hope when he learned of the new hire was that the same could be said for Qrow; but, it was sounding like he had his twin sister’s notorious diva-like personality, if Willow’s frustration was anything to go by. Which meant he was in for a long day.
“Light check!” Elm called, flexing both arms proudly like a muscle builder.
He snapped the shot, then nodded at the quality. “Perfect!”
Willow swiveled, heading for the door. “Let’s get started then.”
~
Over the course of the seven years Clover had worked for Trendy magazine, he’d discovered that each fashion designer had a specific ‘taste’ they were going for when it came to showing off their line-up and he’d learned to pose the models accordingly to keep their clients happy and coming back for each issue. So, he kept certain things in mind with each designer’s desires, like how Sienna preferred her poses to be as dynamic and wild as possible and Camilla wanted proper posture and a bit of elegance.
Unfortunately, today’s clothing line was from Roman and Neo. Which meant balancing the two designers’ conflicting requirements of flamboyance and subtlety into one picture. It tended to lead to a lot of small changes for limb placement and expression before he ever even rose his camera.
So, it tended to be a relief when the snap sounded off and he said, “Alright, you’re done!”
“Oh, thank god!” Tai slumped over immediately, rolling out his shoulders. “I think my neck has a crick in it.”
Clover snorted. “Alright drama king. Go take a break.” He turned towards the doorway, calling, “Who’s next up?”
He heard Kali’s faint, “Get in there. And stop messing with your hair!”
A gruff voice he didn’t recognize replied, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” Before Qrow Branwen walked into the room and stole his breath away.
Though he’d joked before, Clover hadn’t actually known what the man had looked like. He rarely did see new models before their first shoot. But now that he was, it had to be said that maybe Willow had indeed hired Qrow simply for his beauty. In almost every way, he was like a softer version of his sister. Where her skin was striking alabaster white, his had more of a welcoming ivory tone. Where her eyes were bright scarlet, his were a gentle vermillion. And where her hair was an ink black, his held streaks of dusty grey that somehow was just enough to make him appear refined, but not old.
Combine that with Roman and Neo’s classy “modern early-1900’s” style, and he looked absolutely dazzling. It was one of their simpler pieces, but dress had made sure he wore it well, especially with the plain, long-sleeved, white dress shirt that someone had decided to undo the top few buttons off to frame a cross necklace hanging sideways. Pulled over that and adding some muted color was a double-layered vest that buttoned from the bottom of the ribs down. The inner layer was a slate grey while the outer layer was a deep charcoal and had a tasteful embroidery design flowing down the sides. The matching dark grey slacks were fairly standard but nicely fitting to the man’s ridiculously long legs. Completing the picture were some shiny cap-toed black dress shoes.
“So uh, how do you want me?” Qrow asked, fidgeting with the cross-shaped cufflinks of his shirt.
Splayed across my bed. Clover shook himself of any indecent thoughts, nodding towards the set that mimicked an old parlor room. “Center stage, leaning back on the table.”
He nodded, crossing the room.
As they passed each other, Tai offered a thumb’s up and a cheery, “Good luck!”
The little half-grin Qrow offered his friend left Clover floating.
Not that the other man was going to need any well wishes, as he’d decided on something fairly simplistic. As Qrow took position, he directed, “Alright, I want you to rest your hands on the table, in view. Keep your fingers spread out.”
“Like this?” He settled them by his hips.
“Mm no. Spread your arms further apart. Position your hands the other way, pointing opposite directions. Yeah – like that! A little more for the right hand. Relax your shoulders more. No, no not that much.” And on and on it went, as Clover altered each little angle and body part until he had the exact position in mind. Yet, despite the ease of what he was asking for, Qrow’s inexperience meant he had to spend twice as long getting things just right.
It quickly became clear by his 60th order that the older man was growing a bit exasperated.
Clover eyed him up and down. Hummed thoughtfully at the position of where his ankles crossed, the toe of one dress shoe pointed down. “Okay, tilt your left heel just a bit more.”
“Is all this really necessary?” Qrow grumbled, trying not to move anything else but his foot.
“When the client is picky, yeah. And stop clawing your fingers. Keep them flat.”
The other man breathed in and out slowly, carefully resting down his hands.
He gave him another once over. Frowned.
The tension he could easily see doubled as Qrow demanded, “What now?”
“Maybe we should try something different.” He considered.
The words were met with Qrow groaning out, “You got to be kidding me.”
And Willow cutting in, “Go with it. We got to get this shoot done before noon!”
He glanced at his wristwatch. Shit, was it really almost eleven? He still had four other designs to go. “Yeah, alright. Qrow, just try to relax your muscles a bit.” He rose his camera. “Alright, now smile.”
He did, stretching it as big as he could.
Clover looked at him over the lens, raising a brow. “I said smile, not look like you’re trying to imitate clown make-up.” Ignoring the other’s sarcastic laughter, he mulled it over, then snapped his fingers. “Ah, I know! Give me the same one you gave to Tai when you first walked in.”
He could tell it wasn’t quite right when it didn’t have the same cloud nine effect on him as before, but with the clock ticking in his head, he took the shot.
“Alright, that’ll do.” Clover said.
“We’re done?” Qrow asked, not moving an inch, as if worried he’d change his mind.
“Yep. You’re free as a bird.”
That earned him a real laugh. “That was awful!”
For the hell of it, he took another shot.
~
There was always such a sense of relief when Clover submitted the photos to processing. From there the team would do whatever touch ups were necessary before it went in for print. Normally, the rest of his day was done, but he had another engagement at a rally across town that would keep him busy well into the evening. So, he found himself stepping into the break room, intent on grabbing a cup of coffee and heading on his way.
He was surprised to find Qrow there, huddled in one of the corner tables. He was dressed down, back in his casuals, but still managed to make a t-shirt and some slacks look like runway material. They met gazes briefly, before the elder man’s eyes dropped back to his phone, not saying a word.
Already short on time, Clover was content to leave it like that, but as he finished mixing his coffee together, guilt seeped in. If they were going to be working together, then one of them had to take the first step and it was much harder for the new guy to take it.
“You did good today.” He spoke.
Qrow scoffed. “You kidding? I was a disaster.” He groaned, running a hand through his hair. “I’ll be lucky if they ask me to come back.”
Ah. So, he wasn’t a snob - he was insecure. Clover could work with that.
“Ah come on. It wasn’t that bad.” He crossed the room, turning the opposite chair sideways and falling into it. “You’re just a little stiff. A few more of these and you’ll relax.” He paused, then added, “Oh, and take it a little easy on the people in dress.”
“They were trying to poke my eye out! Whoever invented eyeliner is a demon.”
He guffawed heartily. “It’s not that bad.”
Qrow sighed, ruffling a hand through his hair. “Still, I don’t know what I was thinking, letting Tai convince me to take this job.”
Seemed Tai was doing a lot of that lately.
“I’m not a model. That’s my sister’s gig. And…” Qrow gestured to himself. “I mean, look at me.”
“Oh yeah, I’m sure it must get tiring getting all those calls from Mr. Universe asking you to come reclaim your crown.” He countered.
“Tch, if anyone’s got a crown to go reclaim, it’s probably you.” A second later, he seemed to realize what he said and hid his face in his hand. “Oh my god, I didn’t just- I’m sorry, that was inappropriate.”
Clover couldn’t stop grinning. “Relax gorgeous. You’re in the right business to be making comments like that.” He took a sip of his coffee. “Don’t feel so bad, either. You’re not the only one self-conscious around here. Winter? Breaks out before every shoot. James? Has a scar right here.” He ran a finger above the line of his right eyebrow. “And by now, we’ve got to be giving Tai a complex with how much gets altered in processing.”
“He certainly had a lot to say about last month’s issue.”
“Well, you know, we gotta follow those trends and freckles are in.” He was sure there was a lot of talk on the questionable ethics of digitally changing people’s appearances to portray an unobtainable beauty, but it was a topic he wasn’t too interested in engaging with. In the end, it all just came down to the paycheck and keeping people’s jobs. Because if a model couldn’t sell the clothes they were wearing, then they weren’t going to get to keep modeling them.
Qrow leant back, crossing his arms. “Wonder how much they’ll change about me.”
“Well, they’ll definitely take out those cute wrinkles you get around your eyes when you laugh.”
“I wasn’t laughing?”
“Not in the first shot. But I may have…” He shrugged sheepishly. “Taken another one, right at the end? You looked more natural.”
Qrow blinked. “Well. Alright then. Guess that’s why you’re the expert.” His gaze drifted past Clover’s shoulder at about the same time he heard the footsteps. “Hey Tai. All done?”
“Yeah.” The blond replied as he stopped at their table, eyeing him suspiciously. “Hopefully the company flirt wasn’t giving you trouble.”
“Oh sunshine,” Clover drawled, playing it up as he bat his eyelashes at the other man. “I hope you know you’re my one and only.”
He snorted, rolling his eyes. “Save it for the guys actually swinging your way.” He nodded to his friend. “Come on, we better get moving if we want to get the girls on time.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Qrow stood. “It was nice meeting you Clover.”
“Same here. Looking forward to working with you.” He replied sincerely. A pleasant little warmth tingled through him when the sentiment earned him an adorable smile.
As he watched him go, Clover cast his earlier worries aside and decided that this truly was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Making A Rune Set : My Process
One of the most popular items I create for my shop are rune sets, which are actually quite simple and inexpensive to create as they do not use many materials (depending on what you decide to make yours out of) There are also many advantages to creating resin runes over using wood / stones which can break, fracture, or lose their engraving / painting over time. If you’re the creative type or have been wanting to make your own resin runes, this is a tutorial/ guide made just for you and also a way to show off my creative process :) NOTE: I am NOT affiliated with these products or companies in any way other than what I use to create my own- what you are reading is an unsponsored opinion.
What I Use:
Tumblr media
I have made rune sets I have in the shop for sale out of either Epoxy resin (FanAut brand shown in photos can be purchased on Amazon cheaply) or UV Resin (Puduo UV resin includes stirrers and silicone cups for beginners!), both of which have their advantages and disadvantages. If you’re a true beginner, I recommend sticking with epoxy resin as UV resin is far less forgiving (and expensive). You can use any product you wish- even polymer clay or paper mache- to form your own runes, these are just tried and true for me.
Tumblr media
While you can create your own mold by casting dominoes or whatever shape you want to use for your runes in mold material, you can also purchase these flexible silicone molds on Amazon or Etsy fairly cheaply. They allow for the engraving effect, so you do not have to engrave them by hand or rely solely on paint. (I had just demolded some runes- excuse my mess)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like to use the thermogenic pigments you see in the first two photos (my secret ingredients) combined with glow in the dark powder to create special FX rune sets that are magical unto themselves. As you can see, the pigment reacts to my body heat to change from purple to blue as I press on it. (idk where that gold leaf came from- you should really see my work space lol), but you may use whatever materials you wish for additives- mica pigments, alcohol inks, papers / photos (sealed of course)- whatever inspires you! I often incorporate Selenite crystal shards into my own runes as well, as Selenite will NOT react to the resin by reverting to Gypsum and will retain its lustrous crystals and appearance when cast. I have used other crystals as well, allowing their metaphysical properties to coalesce with the inorganic matter, creating an Orgone energy flow effect.
You will also need stir sticks (popsicle sticks will do), gloves or finger cots, silicone or disposable plastic measuring cups (3 for your epoxy mixture and one for each pigment you wish to use), wax paper or silicone mat for your work area, and a torch / toothpick to attack bubbles with. You may also wish to grab a large box to cover your runes while they cure to prevent dust from getting sealed within them. You’ll want to grab some sandpaper or fine grain files (nail files work) to use once your runes have fully cured to smooth the edges.
Tips:
Lay your molds out flat. Store bought molds will have all 25 tiles. Pour a thin layer of clear resin in each reservoir before pouring in pigments or embedding objects.
To get bubbles to come to the surface, use a blow dryer or heat gun to heat the resin and pop them with your torch or toothpick. Bubbles are the most likely to occur around the edges of each engraved glyph, the corners of each tile, and approximately 35 mins into your work as the resin begins to cure and harden. Pay attention to your work time and how long you have to work with your brand of epoxy.
For complex or intricate designs, pour each in layers, allowing 2-4 hours in between for your resin to cure enough so the colors do not mix.
It isn’t necessary to fill each tile’s reservoir to the brim. Try filling them 3/4 of the way each, allowing some room at the top so the resin doesn’t expand and overflow while curing (think pouring muffin mix / batter into muffin cups)
Tumblr media
Once your runes have cured (12-24 hours or whatever your product states) you’ll want to gently pop each one out of the mold. If your runes still feel flexible, tacky, or gelatinous, they need to sit longer to cure. Silicone molds are easy to demold, but plastic and other materials can be tricky. If you have trouble removing your project from your mold, there is an abundance of tips / guides on the Resin Obsession blog.
Above you see I have Mod Podge Gloss sealant and some acrylic paint markers. These are for outlining / painting the glyph’s engravings so they stand out against the color of each tile, with the Mod Podge to seal the paint so it doesn’t smudge after drying, adding a nice glossy finish. You can even use metallic Sharpies or other permanent markers to outline, which ironically will stay without a sealant. Should you choose to paint each glyph like I do and end up with a mess, grab some alcohol pads or swabs to touch up any mistakes before applying your sealant. This step is entirely optional- you don’t have to apply a sealant on the paint to benefit from outlining each glyph nor do you even have to paint them - do whatever you think looks amazing! Note: you only need a thin layer of gloss / sealant for this and it can be diluted.
Tumblr media
You may wonder why I begin hand filing each rune after I paint and seal them. This is because sometimes the sealant runs off the tile and creates its own cluster of sad hardened material extending off the bottom. I use a regular old nail file on the back of each tile, filing until the back is level, or damn near close to it, and smooth. Depending on the texture of the rune and what resin I chose, I may switch to a very fine grain sandpaper or nail buffing block to smooth and polish.
Tumblr media
After filing, I run each rune under warm water and add some mild soap, putting them all into a bowl and swirling / allowing them to soak to remove all residue and debris leftover from filing. More filing may take place after the initial soak if I feel it is needed. I then drain the bowl and dump the tiles on a towel to allow them to air dry.
Tumblr media
That’s about it- congratulations! You have made your first rune set! All of this takes place before your runes arrive to you, with each set being spiritually cleansed and charged before packaging. The products mentioned in this guide may be purchased at your local Dollar Store (disposable crafting supplies), craft or hobby store, or online at Amazon / Etsy fairly cheaply.
I hope you enjoyed this guide and thank you for taking a look at my personal creative process! You can find my custom, handmade rune sets in my Etsy shop if you are not as creatively inclined as well!
Happy crafting & blessed be !

hello all, i’m sky, allow me to introduce my hellish muse, jaeho. my schedule is clear for a while so i’ll likely be online to plot and chat for anyone interested. hope to see you angels. until then, here is an introduction to my evil dude. before that, please note that i have connections and an about page if you navigate to my blog. edit: *this post is shamefully long i am so sorry...
Tumblr media
intro
a cheong ryeong alumni of the half-blood (canon) family the Lee’s, who are well-known (and wealthy) for establishing / running the yosul magical medical center. he is 30 years old, 185cm, and the oldest of 5 siblings (who he is a big dumb filial idiot for). he is also the head medi-wizard (which means he’s the primary healer for all quidditch players/teams, both professional and student), and a healer at the ymmc, so taking a visit to the medi-ward, you’ll likely spot him floating down the halls like a grim reaper (everyone is usually scared of him and his gigantic evil energy).
things to note
i joke but he isn’t actually evil just....very unlikable to most. he is unapproachable, intense and bitter to a solid 80% of those he meets lol.
he loves family, respect and power. love = duty / duty = love.
family means more to him than anything, he gets along with all of his siblings, and his siblings friends automatically get one (1) chance to prove themselves because he’s all about nepotism and he’s shameless about it.
as the current acting head medi-wizard at the ymmc, he takes control primarily of all the quidditch students and cases. he attends ALL quidditch matches at yosul, and most of the professional games as well. there’s a strong chance, if you’re a quidditch player, you will have met him, seen him, or at least known of him. he is the healer who goes onto the field when a stray bludgeon hits your friend in the arm and breaks (oh i dunno) about 3 bones? he does routine check ups and makes it his job to become familiar with the players.
please feel free to make fast enemies with him at your local cafe when he cuts in line because he’s absolutely more important than you!
please feel free to make fast enemies with him just existing tbh!
he goes on a jog every morning before work at ass in the morning.
not only is he all about that (jazz hands) nepotism, he’s also a house snob, so cheong ryeong (grads or current students) guess what? you’re in luck.
he is a very talented wizard tbh. he’s good at his job, and extremely good at potions as well. so don’t be surprised when he quickly diagnoses and heals you if you need it. he won’t be friendly but he will be efficient.
he is never mean to kids or animals or patients. (though...admittedly he isn’t really NICE. he’s not known for his bedside manner, lets say that much)
he has a Reputation.
it unfortunately proceeds him.
ya boy gets passionate about quidditch sometimes so, feel free to bond over that with him.
he feels a little bit like a classic anti-hero character at the VERY beginning of their arc when no one likes them and they look like they’re about one wrong look in the elevator from becoming a villain (but he’s still holding out for now because Family Values.)
staff at the medical center call him the reaper or grim reaper behind his back. this gossip is big and a lot of people know him by this name. (yes even some patients)
he’s fully aware of this, he just doesn't address it.
he is not a material person at all, despite the wealth of his family, but he does dress the part. if you ever see him off of work his clothes are fine/fancy and he looks every bit the part of one of the top healers in the country, with a family reputation known from door to door.
he does NOT like pets.
potential plots
16-24
the very classic quidditch connection. jaeho is a medi-wizard who deals with quidditch matches and players. connecting through quidditch is a Classic. subscribe today for jaeho to literally talk shit to you every other day about quidditch while pretending he doesn’t care but very clearly caring a Lot.
potions mentor. jaeho is really good at potions, flying and defense against the dark arts. exceptionally good at it. as an affiliate of yosul/ymmc he can and will help in these departments for the low price of seeming desperate.
it’s late night and you’re sneaking into ymmc past visiting hours to visit a patient (or steal something or cause mischief, whatever suits your muse) and just get flat out busted by the grim reaper himself. oof amirite.
meeting when jaeho is off the clock (which is already rare) and being like ‘hey aren’t you the grim re- i mean wait.... you look...??? nice??? lmao?’ and probably having to bargain for your life afterwards
hyung/oppa/dongsaeng/mentor type relationship. there’s no chances for romance with jaeho, but he can protect and love you a lot if you get in past his barriers and he’s a man with a lot of platonic love and loyalty to give.
(for canon families) jaeho is extremely familiar with all of the pure and half-blood families (as a part of his job and his family demands) so it’s possible our muses can know each other or connect there.
get your stupid pet out of his office right now you’re not even supposed to have pets on ymmc grounds and yet- you did it. you committed a DOUBLE crime. is his life a joke to you or what. . .
you hate him, he is evil (think of the way harry thinks that snape is evil? yeah that) no seriously, jaeho is evil and you are really actually about to fight this old mans ass. (you think he won’t duel a kid?....ok you’re right but he will pretend like he’s about to)
24+
you knew each other in yosul as students and now look at this asshole, being a healer just like his family namesake, being all helpful and- well, actually okay he’s as evil as you remember.
i have some wanted connections and other cool romantic and friendship plots for older muses on my actual connections page here. please look. i will give you a h*g.

vyvesvi’s long awaited yesstyle review lmao :-)
ugh the keep reading isn’t working on mobile rip y’all sry
>a few Important things:
i just moved into my dorm yesterday so everything abt the pics and reviews to follow is a hot mess + i misplaced some stuff + didn’t bring it to my dorm bc it didnt work out (so i don’t have pics)
I’m not being sponsored in any way by yesstyle, i just don’t think there are enough black reviewers of yesstyle goods (but what does race have to do with anything, you may ask??? well, ppl come in all shaoes and sizes and the overlap between east asian sizes and body types and black body types is um. well. slim. that being said, i’ll give you some deets on me: i legit have no idea how much i weigh but im generally thin-ish with thicker thighs and a tummy pouch; height: ~169 cm, generally a US size S - M/4 - 6))
bc im not being sponsored, im not providing any (affiliate) links, just product names, sorry if that’s annoying
every yesstyle member (you become a member when you buy stuff) gets a reawrds code that takes a % off of my next order and the order that the code is used for, but I think it’s only like. 2% or smthng. message me and i’ll try to unearth my code if ur interested)
I ordered this stuff in two separate, similarly sized orders and the delivery time went like this (#1: ordered on-  2019-07-05 01:33 AM; split into two packages for some reason, received on like...july 22ndish? for some reason the tracking info isnt showing the delivery info. the 2nd part of this order, which was shipped a day later, arrived on the 19th. #2: ordered on-  2019-07-30 10:04 AM, received on  08/20, wasn’t expecting much bc it was shipped from hong kong during the protests but it was basically the same as the first order)
>the actual review part
Tumblr media
i rly didnt wanna make a long post so just click for better quality sry lmao
edit: rip the quality if y’all want better photos @ me lmao
Dreamkura - Short-Sleeve Embroidered T-Shirt, Black - L
4/5- weird shape (really long sleeves for a short sleeved shirt, and really boxy too), and if you compare the placement and size of the patch vs. the one in the picture it’s not 100% accurate. still a cute shirt though so it’s fine
I sized up for an oversized look but I probably didn’t 100% need to
the black one is currently unavailable :/
camikiss - Seamless Under Shorts, Black - One Size
5/5- i wear these shorts too much. im wearing them right now. the ultimate safety shorts
the one size was a Risk but these shorts stretch well. maybe dont get them if you’re an XL and above in US sizes though
Lemongrass - Distressed Denim Shorts, Dark Blue - M
4.5/5- better quality than primark which. wow, did not see that coming
you have to cut the button hole (they seal it to show they they’ve never been worn apparently)
the button kinda like...jingles if you shake them vigorously, but it doesn’t happen when the pants are on, so it’s fine. still funny tho
im bad at wearing ripped shorts but if ur not i highly recommend
INKLEE - Round Buckle Faux Leather Belt - 105CM
5/5- kinda cheap but it does what I want which is hold my pants up lol
i could’ve sized down but that has way more to do with me not knowing my waist size lmao
Gwendolyn - Off-Shoulder Ruffle-Trim Blouse, White - One Size
4/5- i bought this bc it made me think “flyy like a butterfly” and all that jazz
it’s not my normal style but i really like it! it’s VERY sheer though
but I also got white so what did i really expect?
one-size was a risk once again but this shirt is pretty roomy, although it’s also kinda short...like not crop top short, but slightly difficult to tuck in short.
i would buy it again in black so i guess that says something
also i have like. freaky long arms (i can wave my hand over my shoulder with my arm behind my back and my elbow parallel to my torso...that’s such a weird description but uh. just know that my arms are long okay) and it didn’t look too indecent at the top to have the sleeves pulled down to my wrists! it’s a win!)
Moon City - Drop Shoulder Cardigan, Black - One Size
4.7/5- smelled weird when i opened it but I washed it and it’s fine!
one size risk but this one was also roomy af
the sleeves fit!!! god bless!!!
Tumblr media
Edise - Couple Matching Elbow-Sleeve Embroidered T-Shirt, Black - L & White L
5/5- The white one was perfect and I love it! I sized like 2 sizes up for it to be a oversized but I would say it’s only abt 1 size oversized, if that makes sense? but I actually like it the way it is so cool lmao
3.7/5- the black one was really badly sewn on, but i reported it and got a new one for free so go me go yesstyle! they didnt give me tracking info *i think* and i wasn’t really waiting for it so it feels like it came fast lol
the moon is kinda a more awkward shape in person i think, but the stormy clouds were high quality and perfect!
i really like the material of the shirt!s it’s thick and soft and smooth? i’ve legit never felt a tshirt like that but im into it
DIYI - Plain High-Waist A-Line Skirt, Black - M
4.7/5- im wearing the outfit pictured right now and *TMI* the sewn in shorts are giving me a very very uncomfortably large wedgie tbh
it fits perfectly otherwise though
i feel like it’s one of the cheapest feeling things that i received, but it’s about forever21 quality but for only $11.45 so i’m 100% fine with it tbh
Tumblr media
TREEZIN - Plaid Mini Skirt, Dark Blue - M
4.7/5- it’s very cute and fits perfectly! kinda shirt though and there was like 1 loose thread
the brown in the skirt isn’t super noticeable which i don’t really mind...overall i’d say that they lightened the photos considerably, which effects the color of the skirt
no safety shorts but idrc
pretty thick material
Tumblr media
the final stretch thank god
Manicotto - Mock Two-Piece Sleeveless Mini Dress, Check - M
3/5 pretty cheap material. the skirt is true to size, but the top is like two sizes too small (i don’t have that much boob but it was still too much for this poor, poor, top). they come as separate pieces, so i brought the skirt to school with me and left the top at home. im not sure what i would tell someone who wanted to buy this abt sizing, bc of the dramatic discrepancy btwn the sizes.
A’ROCH - 925 Sterling Silver Dinosaur Earring, 1 Pair - S925 Silver - Gold - One Size
4/5, very cute, VERY small (dainty, sure) and good quality! my only complaint is that either it’s not real silver or whatever it is that they used to make them look gold is something that im allergic to. my ears got itchy
A’ROCH - 925 Sterling Silver Ear Cuff1 Pair - Cross - Silver - One Size
4.7/5, definitely 100% silver. i’d love to wear them but with my move i can’t find either pair of the earrings
they only sell them as 2 of the cross cuffs or 2 of the parallel cuffs which is annoying bc they’re pictured together but they’re good enough and cheap enough that i’d buy the parallel ones in a separate order
Euphrasia - Oxford Crossbody Bag, Black - One Size
5/5 one of my best buys hands down
its ugly cute but it’s so useful
it has so much storage space for such a small bag
im in love
Jansi - Set of 3: Heart-Embroidered Socks, Black + White + Blue - One Size
4.5/5 i wanted the dark gray that’s pictured but they edited the hell out of that photo so the blue that i ordered is actually the gray sock pictured
really comfy and cute! esp with the tops of the hearts peeking out over the tops of high top converses??? i love it sm
i have big feet and they fit me, so they’d fit most ppl i think
Ashlee - Cuffed Denim Shorts, Light Blue - M
2/5, a horrible disappointment part 1
maybe i shouldve sized up more but the critch area just fits SO BADLY i left these at home
i would return but im not paying for return shipping to hong kong so i’ll donate them
they’re also cute really badly like they don’t taper in at the waist at all
no human person is shaped like that pls ashlee
they get a 2 bc they are shorts and they sent me the right color
Rosehedge - Pleated Mini Skirt, Black - S
3/5, a horribly disappointment part 2
i shouldve sized up idky i didnt
i can actually fit into them and zip them up and everything but it’s so so short that you can basically see my entire safety short covered butt and it kinda bulges between the top of the tiny sewn in safety shorts and the actual skirt
wow thats a weird sentence sorry but you get it
has thousands of good reviews though, way more than anything on this list so that must count for something right?
3 bc it’s kinda my fault
Regalia - Faux Leather Wallet, Black - One Size
5/5 beautiful lots of storage space but still very compact, would buy again
the “forever young, made in korea” is kinda ugly but what can you do?
Prinsis - Printed Socks, Dinosaur - White - One Size
3.5/5 they’re cute, but the design is so but that you can see halves of it on the front of the sock, which is very ugly
notice how on the site every pic is taken from the side? not a coincidence
they fit fine and are comfy though
>okay that’s it thank god!
>lmk if you have any questions!!!

BTS FREE HUGS PROJECT!!!
Hello all! I hope you're doing well ♥
I'm Ki Cam (@Kipuccino) aka PK21 on twt and Pandakookie21 on Youtube, and I have a BIG request I hope you will hear me out pretty please. ^_^
I live in Atlanta, GA and every year here at the end of September aka this year's BANGTEMBER, there is a HUUUGE convention in my city called, AWA which stands for ANIME WEEKEND(in)ATLANTA.
As I'm sure most of you know, Anime is mainly considered a Japanese thing, but it is also a great place to find lovers of KPOP, KDrama etc.
This event brings in over 10,000 people every year at LEAST and I think it would be a great opportunity to get people to vote and stream for BTS especially with MAMA coming up. So I have a plan to make what is called a BRIBECART Or "Noemul"cart (because the joke is noemul(bribe) sounds kind of like NAE (pi ddam nun) MUL, and of course it's to get help streaming, maintaining social media popularity, and hopefully VOTING for BTS, which of course most of the awards, if they win, will be for WINGS and WINGS YNWA era.
The basic method is, Across 4 days of the event, I will be offering FREE HUGS (maybe in a onesie lol) and when people come over I will tell them they have a chance at a free snack.
I will give away small snacks or candies for free that has BTS info on it with the hug.
If they agree and stream any one BTS song or music video on their mobile device right then in front of me, they can have an additional snack/candy/drink. (Also if they use their device to search BTS, use a hashtag, or rt a specific tweet I give, any combination of these things they can have a second treat as well.)
And then main prizes for melon/mama voters
15 votes 3 people regular prize
30 votes 3 people larger prize
50-100 votes 1 person DAESANG, yeah? ^_^
IF FOR SOME REASON THERE ARE NO VOTES, OR BTS ~~~SOMEHOW~~~ ISN'T NOMINATED FOR ANY AWARDS...: The people who pledged will be entered into an automatic raffle, and I will choose 3 and 1 winner(s) from each category.
All of the prizes will mainly just be more Korean snacks and drinks and maybe gift cards, and I will release the prizes AFTER MAMA.
Those who pledge to vote for mama/melon/combination of both will first give me their contact info on a ticket showing acc USERN they will use to vote, and then they can get slightly larger goodie bags so around 3-4 items total, with info on how to vote. I will also promote 5 random girl groups/solo artists but BTS is the ONLY boy group I'm mentioning!
In order to do this I need many supplies including:
A mini cart (of course)
Freebie Gifts -Yummy (preferably) Korean/Asian snacks and candies and treats, that will have BTS' name and info for how/where to stream and vote and be active on social media.
Bulk snacks- for making the larger prizes and the goodie bags for pledges.
Giftbag materials- tissue paper, decorations, tape etc. and little bags to put the freebies and pledge goodies in along with additional info for those who say that they will GENUINELY assist us ARMYs in voting. (basically it will look like what Suga did for ARMYs on his birthday but with little factoids or link info about BTS.
Shipping material to make voting Prizes (THAT WILL ONLY POSSIBLY GO TO Pledged VOTERS)- I would like to make 7 main prizes in total
If anyone lives in my area and would like to help preparing all the goods we can meet up (if you're under the age of 18 I need to meet your parents because, safety obvs.)
Hopefully at least 300 items can be prepared to give out at the event across all 4 days. I have a car, and access to many stores and especially Korean stores and goods to buy in bulk, and I have some time to work on this throughout this month and the next, but I don't have all the funds to do this project alone....
And that's where I'm HOPING you come in fellow ARMYs!!!! (of course it's money, I know, I know.) But ABSOLUTELY ~anything~ you can give is going to help out a WHOOOLE lot. Even if you only have $1 USD or honestly if they let you and you give even 1 penny, it's helpful. but I'm REALLY hoping you guys will help me out to make this big and reach those THOUSANDS of people. So if you can help financially PLEEEEEEASE do so, PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE!!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
And if you REALLY can't or don't want to for whatever reason but still want to help me out in some way, PLEASE share this message and my paypal link (paypal.me/plsfundKiCam) around. THE LAST DAY TO DONATE IS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH!!!(SERIOUSLY AFTER SEPTEMBER 17TH 11:59 pm You're just buying me lunch so HEED THAT DEADLINE!)
THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE! I LOVE YOU ARMY FAM AND ALLIED AFFILIATES!!! MUAH!♥

May 25: The Finale
So here's how I stand with The 100 now that the finale has aired.
I still haven't watched anything past 4x10, but I'm reading spoilers on my dash and keeping up with the general outlines of things. Before the finale aired, I was starting to get curious about developments again and thought I might just wait for the last ep to air and then binge the final arc maybe over the long weekend or something. Now that I know how the season ends up, my interest in watching has plummeted and while I think it would be silly of me to say 'I'll never watch it ever' (those are very much the sort of words a person like me later eats), I have no interest in watching it any time soon. Maybe over the summer. Sometime. Eventually. Who knows?
The biggest reason to watch the last episodes is to be able to have an actual leg to stand on for complaining purposes but frankly not being up to date on canon hasn't stopped me yet, lol. I just disclaim all complaints with 'I'm one of those annoying people who bitches about developments in episodes I haven't seen' and leave it at that.
I don't want to be like the anti's, hating the show and talking about how much I hate it but sticking around in fandom anyway, raining on everyone else's parade. It worries me that people might come across my ranty posts and think that of me. But... okay, look, I have done a lot of complaining going all the way back to season 3 and I'm up front both about what I don't like in the show and about why I'm here in the fandom anyway. I like the fandom, I like the characters, I like the universe, etc. I still want to engage in the transformative-works aspect of the fandom. And honestly I've never been a meta writer or engaged in speculation or predictions so looking only at what I produce, content-wise...whether or not I like the canon or even whether or not I'm caught up on it makes no difference. It will matter even less now that we're in the hiatus and there's no new material to speculate on in the first place.
Finally, and most importantly, I'm really honestly not here to ruin or even put a damper on anyone else's fandom experience. I tag my negative posts as negative. I censor names when I'm talking shit about specific characters or ships. I don't go into people's inboxes and I don't even have a Twitter but if I did, I wouldn't use it to harass other users or people who work on the show. Like, I just want to sincerely love the first two seasons, the general concept, and the characters, while bemoaning the state of the show as it is now. (Also, tbh...sometimes complaining is fun and the vast number of people who leisure-complain on any number of topics is evidence enough of this phenomenon—at least I'm honest about taking pleasure in the occasional bout of this is so fucking stupid inconsequential-rage.)
As for what I actually think of what I've heard of the finale.... I've tried to write this up a couple of different ways and I think (hope) I've FINALLY distilled my thoughts.
The two things I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT WANT out of the finale were (1) for the characters to go to space and (2) a time jump of pretty much any sort. So now that those two things have happened, my brain has basically short circuited. I cannot even comprehend this. I literally don't have the words. Maybe I sound hyperbolic, but I'm just trying to explain how much disdain I have for these two plot points. I can't even fathom how anyone ever thought this would be a good idea; it's like I'm in an alternate entertainment universe. It's ludicrous.
My problem with the space launch is that it crosses the disbelief line for me. Obviously there's a lot of faux-science in this show and everyone has a different line as to what is reasonable-enough if you don't think about it too hard, and what is just absolute nonsense but, for whatever reason, this is my line. I don't know what the details were on the actual show come launch-time but just the concept of launching a space craft from a post-apocalyptic wasteland is so ridiculous that I cannot imagine a way to squint or turn my head or angle my screen so that it seems even remotely tenable. A ROCKET LAUNCH. FROM THE RUINS OF POST-NUCLEAR NEW YORK. Like ?????????????????????????. I previously described this possibility as sounding to my ears like riding a pegicorn to New Jersey to get the magic potion from Raul (s/o to my freshman year roommate for the Raul in-joke, so useful to me so many years later), and that's still how I feel.
My bigger problem is with the time jump. To put it briefly, it's a new show now. The combination of Radiation 2.0 and the time jump has cemented that.
I've felt for a while now that whatever it is I'm watching now isn't what I originally signed up to watch. I've seen a few other posts to similar effect, and even my mother (who acts as my Typical Casual Viewer one-person control group, even though quite obviously she is not representative of a typical cw viewer at all—still she's not in the fandom so she is completely untainted by what goes on in these parts)--even my mom said she thinks JRoth/the writers are basically telling a completely different story now than they were initially. I've had, and am still having, a hard time articulating exactly what makes it fundamentally different (as opposed to merely a show that's evolved over time, as long-running shows do), or even when exactly it happened. But I guess at its core the complaint is: this is supposedly a show about "the hundred," and of that group almost all have been killed or lost to the ether, and the remaining members have had their screen time chronically cut short to accommodate a growing cast of characters who have increasingly little to do with that core group or its original purpose or journey. The complaint is  partly one of frustration at the large number of delinquent deaths and the small scraps of screen time given to other alleged mains, and partly a more general annoyance at the loss of the whole meaning of the affiliation "the hundred." What does it mean to be a member of the hundred anymore? Basically nothing. And when it ceased to have meaning (by which I mean S3), the show became, in essence, a different show.
Obviously there's a counter to this whole general complaint (that the show is too bloated with characters generally and/or Grounders specifically), which I've also seen floated out there recently, which is that destroying everything on Earth will allow something more like S1 to flourish again, and a new emphasis to be placed on the core young people. To this I say, first, it's way too early to tell what S5 will be. And I'm in a particularly bad place to really engage with this argument, given how much of even the current canon I've missed. BUT I am skeptical. First, we were told S4 would feel like S1 again and IMO it most definitely has not. Second, most of the hundred are dead and/or gone—I'm not just talking about the toll among the original mains or even the original named characters, I'm talking about how 42 of the original captured teens made it out of Mt. Weather and all but 4 of them were never heard of again. So even if the show returns to caring more about, say, Monty than it does about Grounder of the Week, nothing can undo the destruction to the original concept; nothing can really solve the problem of which I'm complaining. And third, I don't think the writers think they're writing a bad show; I mean, they're the ones who brought us down this path in the first place. This, what we've seen over the past 2 years, IS JRoth's vision. Yes, sometimes showrunners make a mis-step and readjust course, and I thought perhaps that would happen for S4, but it hasn't, which means that he doesn't think S3 had the problems I think it had, which means there's no reason to think S5 will be any better than S3 or S4 were, at least from my POV.
But anyway as I was saying—
Maybe there's been room for argument about this same show/different show question up to now; it's a fuzzy sort of concept in my mind with which I'm not entirely comfortable—I feel a bit like I'm just Complaining About Change like an old grandma, tbh. Despite how it sounds, I do want to be open-minded about others' creativity and to give the benefit of the doubt to ongoing projects/unfinished stories. Regardless, ending S4 in this way is a pretty big sign that the theory, whether or not it was right before, is right as of now. Is there any way to more effectively raze the ground and salt the Earth than to literally raze the ground and then skip ahead 6 years? I have a million problems with this large time gap, but on the top of the list is that, like everyone over the age of 25 knows, a person changes dramatically between the ages of 18 and 25, or 16 and 22, just in the normal course of events, apocalypse(s) not withstanding. The writers have given themselves carte blanche to do literally absolutely anything with these characters. Even for a show that's barely cared at all about consistency over time in pretty much any aspect, that's troubling. (Also, like, I signed up for a show about a bunch of teens in the forest, not a group of twenty-somethings...doing whatever they'll be doing in season 5. I feel a tiny bit like a promise has been broken, sorry.)
So having basically established that whatever this show used to be, it's not that anymore, I guess the question is: what is it now, and do I like it? I think this is the question every viewer basically has to ask themselves, consciously or no. For me, what I've seen the last two years is some mismash of GoT, general dystopia, repetitive story lines, action sequences, and nonsense "science." The plot is ridiculous,  the pacing is terrible, the emphases are (for my taste) in all the wrong places, the characters are shoddily drawn, and often times, it's fucking boring. It's a bad show. Things like loyalty to a few characters, interest in a few story lines, and sheer curiosity/inertia have kept me here despite it all, but at this point I feel the balance has just shifted imperceptibly the other way. Jasper's death has a lot to do with it (he was my favorite, he had the only good or even coherent story of S3, and the way his death and its aftermath were handled were so insulting one could easily justify a decision to stop watching as mini-protest), but I think that it was more the (very heavy) straw on the camel's back than anything else.
I guess the tl:dr version of this is GOODBYE BITCHES I'M DONE and yet I still can't even promise I won't be watching Season 5, like I can't predict how I'll feel in a year.

So with all the memes going around about Episodes VII’s title, the name has been on my mind quite a bit. I know we are all worried about Luke dying (trust me I am right there with you) but I wonder if the title has to do with the nature of the force. I feel, and hope, that with this new generation of movies that they will start to explore the more complex aspects of the force. In previous movies the force and how it is used is always presented and viewed through tradition. With the prequels we see the Jedi at their peak and Sith are in the shadows planning their coup and revenge. With the originally trilogy we learn about the force through Yoda, Obi-Wan, Darth Vader, and The Emperor who are all the last remaining elements of their respected affiliations. They are still influenced by those affiliation’s traditions and that is how Luke (and the audience) learn how the Force functions.
So now we have Luke who by the end of the original trilogy has lost all ties to both the Jedi and Sith (aka everyone is dead. At least the key players that the narrative dictates as the most important). And remember Yoda himself says that Luke’s training is incomplete. Additionally, Luke wasn’t indoctrinated into the Jedi lifestyle as a child and started his training extremely late by traditional standards (since he is 19 at the beginning of the series). So he has spent the 30 years after Return of the Jedi filling in the gaps that were lost after Order 66 and the Empire’s crusade to destroy Jedi traditions and history; all the while dealing with training (and later slaughter) of a new generation of Force users. So yes, Luke is the last Jedi because he was the last one to be trained as a Jedi traditionally. Luke’s students were a new generation who were trained with a hybrid of traditional Jedi ideas and the ideas that Luke supplemented. So yes Luke is the last Jedi, the last TRADITIONAL Jedi.
But what about Rey? Isn’t Jedi tradition somewhat a generational anyway? What I am speculating is that Rey will choose to not continue the Jedi ideals and the narrative will confront the more complex morals surrounding the Dark and the Light sides. The Star Wars universe has dipped its toe in this pond a couple of times before. We have a TON of EU material and fans/creators have been incorporating this conversation into materials for years (it tends to work better in other media besides film because film's storytelling needs can be somewhat limiting), Clone Wars and Rebels have both used it in major story arcs on multiple occasions, and then we have Kylo Ren. I bring him up because the way he is presented and the information they present to us in VII are a subtle complication to the traditional Dark vs. Light conflict (so subtle that my ideas could just be a complete over analysis resulting from life revolving around this insane series). Kylo Ren is not a Sith but rather a Dark Force user and a member of the Knights of Ren. I am not going to get into the major differences here because I am typing this on my phone lol and this post has already gone WAY longer than I originally intended. We don’t know much about the Knights of Ren what their connection to Snoke and the Force is but we do know they are not Sith since we already can see that they don’t follow the major Sith traditions. Kylo is also an inversion of the Dark vs. Light conflict because once he became a Dark side user he didn’t give in completely like we have seen in the past, i.e. Anakin going from wanting to save Padmae and his child to killing younglings. Instead he is still pulled toward the light where as in the past it has been the reverse.
I say all this because I am speculating that Rey will reject the idea of becoming a Jedi and will instead explore the force on her own terms (*cough* Gray Jedi *cough*) or maybe reject it all together for whatever reason. Maybe she believes it’s futile? That becoming a Jedi will only continue old struggles? She would rather search for her family instead of training? I honestly couldn’t told you. With Rey’s rejection of Jedi tradition the old ways will face their final days and Luke will truly become the Last Jedi.
Is all this a long ramble influenced by my bias for Gray Jedi story arcs? Lol most likely. But this ominous title seems like a (literal) Red Herring and I find the idea of killing of Luke quite impossible. Han’s death served as a means to pass the torch on the next story as well as give the narrative an emotional weighted twist. If Luke is killed off in VIII it will come off as a cheesy cope out and will not have the same impact, and would only work against the plot.
Anyways who knows. I guess we will find out in December lol.

June 8th-June 14th, 2019 Creator Babble Archive
The archive for the Creator Babble chat that occurred from June 8th, 2019 to June 14th, 2019.  The chat focused on the following question:
What was the original incarnation of your current comic?  What has changed over the lifespan of the idea, and what has remained the same?
Nutty (Court of Roses)
My comic, Court of Roses http://courtofroses.thecomicseries.com/, was originally built around my first D&D character, a half-elf bard named Merlow the Rose. The comic was going to be strictly based on D&D, but as I started going gung-ho on the worldbuilding I started deviating away, making my own variations on races, making my own pantheon, and even formulating different magic rules and creatures. It's still largely inspired by D&D, and other fantasy works like Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls, etc., but I'm also trying to make the world my own, too!
Pencilz
My comic the Caraway Crew https://tapas.io/series/The-Caraway-Crew was originally based on my childhood friend group. Actually the very first incarnation I had with the Caraways was where we were all self-inserted into some large crossover fanfiction... it was pretty bad aha.(edited)
I just realized I said that twice oops
Draco Plato
The first incarnation of my comic....world was a Sailor Moon parody I believe. There was a boarding school and magical boys and girls that fought aliens or something. Firosofi was the "priest" of water and Affinity was the "priestess" of light (ironically her character hasn't seen the light of day in years). Apus was still around in that incarnation since Firosofi and Affinity were affiliated with it there too I think The initial premise still makes up the core of the Apus ideology I think; people fight in pairs against forces that threaten Earth. The focus since shifted to be much more character focused and on characters who were made much later (Damon and Lyall primarily). http://khyatix.com/
ErinPtah (Leif & Thorn | BICP)
But I'm A Cat Person http://bicatperson.com/ basically sprang into being (heh) fully-formed, but I pulled a bunch of the characters from earlier fanfiction incarnations. Jany and Kara Lynn got started in a Neopets RPG; Timothy was created as an OC member of Section XIII in Hellsing; Reseda and Cybele were from the same Sailor Moon exoplanetary team.(edited)
Leif & Thorn http://leifandthorn.com/ started as Colbert Report fanfiction XD It was so far removed from the source material that I spent years thinking "I should file off the serial numbers and try to publish this as an original work"...but it didn't click until I got away from the idea of doing a 1:1 adaptation of the fic's plot, and just used it as the foundation of a world where I could set all kinds of other stories.
AntiBunny
My comic AntiBunny http://antibunny.net/ started out as an all pencil sketchy comic about depression. It experimented a lot early on artistically as I tried to tear down my old style and build a new one. As it's changed over the years I've built up a new art style, and as I've changed as a person I'd say it's become its own story driven by the characters. The protagonist's depression and anxiety is still important, but I think the significant thing is that I'm seeing depression from the outside rather than the inside, and my writing has changed a lot as a result.
mathtans
Interesting topic. I might be unique in that my math comic started as a web serial (though I didn't know that's what it was at the time). Meaning text, but supplemented with drawings, because the point was that the graphs were character hairstyles: https://sites.google.com/site/taylorspolynomials/series/openbar
I gave it up after several years due to lack of interest, then brought it back as a web comic with many of the characters redesigned (parabola having twintails instead of bunny ears, for instance). http://mathtans.ca/ It then crossed over with the serial, meaning both sets of characters are canon and take place in the same universe. https://mathtans.blogspot.com/2017/04/math-character-bible.html
So the more it changes, the more it stayed the same? (As to plot, that tended to be whatever math concept I thought would be interesting, from archaic trig functions to fractals... I never knew where that'd be going.)
kayotics
The original incarnation of Ingress Adventuring Company https://ingress-comic.com/ was, like many other fantasy comics, derived from a D&D campaign I played in. I really loved the character I played (Toivo), and the campaign had finished, so I decided to keep using him in more stories. While the basic idea of the character is the same, I completely removed him from the campaign that he was in so I wouldn't have any issues with having to ask my friends to use their characters. Toivo has essentially remained the same, but large parts of his backstory and the entire setting has been changed from the original game I played him in. And, since I'm no longer tied to D&D with a comic, the rules of magic are a lot more vague. Similar to what Nutty said above, my comic is still largely inspired by D&D and other fantasy staples, but at least I can deviate from them as I continue to make my comic.
MJ Massey
Black Ball http://welcometoblackball.com/ is a much more recent idea of mine and hasn't really changed too much in terms of the overarching story, though minor things have shifted such as Maude becoming more of a main character, giving her a brother who is also getting more involved in the plot, and changing the role of a future character. But it's always been Emily and Chester solving a murder mystery.
MJ Massey
The shifts have been so minor and over time that it's hard to find where the "first draft" ends and the "next version" begins. But I've been mentally shifting things as I go along and see that certain aspects of the story need more attention for the ending to pay off or for the character to get well developed
Who the murderer is has stayed the same and how it happens and why. Just the circumstances around it have been smudged and fixed
Tuyetnhi
The OG plans I had for https://oiydcomic.com/ occurred after I was fiddling with twine to make a one shot short story, and an illustration series/zine project after having an intense dream. At first, I initially wanted to create it into an ero-romance comic about a woman having a one night stand with her dream lover, eventually living together after seeing each other for a few weeks. After thinking about it further (and some beta readers later lmao), I decided to develop into a romance-focused drama about acceptance and making life more than what is instilled in our dreams. I fleshed out Cara's (main character) modivations, her background in regards on courtship and romance somewhat seen in the asian-american experience (specifically Vietnamese-american rituals; some that retained after viet dispora came to the US in the late 80's - 90's and the effects on their children). Basically, from intense escapism to a general exploration on romance. With some common themes I've liked in 90's shoujo with some criticisms here and there.(edited)
Respheal
Galebound (http://www.galebound.com/) started off as what was going to be a short story. I posted it up on deviantART just for fun, and I was totally pantsing the plot xD I had an idea of a magician who for some reason couldn't ask questions, and the stablehand he kidnapped when he wasn't getting a horse fast enough. The original idea was that Din was on the run from something? And Conan was that hapless stablehand the protags burst in on like "I need a horse!" before escaping $antagonist or chasing someone. Originally Din was supposed to be a good guy, for real, just...more of a trickster to Conan's straight-faced act(edited)
Since its inception, the plot got way deeper and a gazillion times more horrible I think at one point an Obligation wasn't necessary for magic, and probably wasn't even totally compulsory But then the Pascal Incident happened and making the Obligation compulsory suddenly became much more integral to the plot and world. And once that happened, Din's backstory got more fleshed out and his character got darker. I still really wasn't sure what to do with Conan at that point, though. That didn't hit me until like seven years after the original five chapter draft going up on dA, and knowing Conan better changed everything It's fun :'D
snuffysam
Super Galaxy Knights Deluxe R (http://sgkdr.webcomic.ws/) started off as a short film I made for an introductory film class in college (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibRdxNLd3Q4). The film is about a fan of a really bad anime forcing his boyfriend to sit through an episode. The production quality of the film is honestly really bad in retrospect (still got an A though lol). At around the same time as I was making that film, I had just watched... I assume Food Wars, and I was on a real "you could make a battle series out of anything" stint. Like, I would just have a notes document full of ideas like "a shonen series about math olympiads". One idea I really liked was "a shonen series, but it's actually just The Wizard of Oz". After I had finished the short film, I wondered what the actual series that the "anime" took place in would be like, so I decided to build out a comic. I outlined five books, the first being based primarly off the Wizard of Oz. And... the rest is history.
deo101
The first incarnation of millennium (http://millennium.thecomicseries.com/) was pretty much a "chosen one" story where the main character had to go kill an evil space queen and was the only one who could do it. I made about 6 more stories that I later decided I could put together, and the easiest way for me to combine them all was a highschool space story, which I developed for quite a while... Later I changed them all to be adults and started building the current iteration of the story (which has also changed a ton)
Desnik
My WIP comic (which has an ask blog: http://ask-a-warlock.tumblr.com/) started out as a video game idea incorporating Banjo Kazooie collectathon platforming with Ace Attorney trial mechanics....obvs I'm not much of a programmer or 3D modeler, so I went with skills that I actually know how to do: Write and draw(edited)
It had one incarnation where the characters run around all of Europe but it was much too much to develop within 250 pages so I scrapped that and focused on one standalone story, which I'm thumbnailing now and I'm hoping to get into the art stage by the end of the year
and now the page count is about 170 so hopefully that's an easier project to wrangle, when it comes down to it
